Shot in quaint Conyers, GA (in addition to Dekalb School of the Arts in Atlanta) “Goosebumps” will bring one of the all-time most popular series of children’s books to big screen version. BOSSIP got a chance to talk to the cast (Jack Black, Odeya Rush, Dylan Minnette, and Ryan Lee) and observe several scenes being shot, we we’re very impressed with everyone’s performances and also how immersive and detailed the set was. In talking to costume designer Julian Makovsky and make-up artist Fionagh Cush, it’s very clear that they were committed to creating the most intricate and realistic-looking monsters possible for the big screen. Janelli Caceres-Pickens with her two daughters at Chinx Drugz album listening party Janelli Caceres-Pickens In Starring Role For Chinx Drugz Video “On Your Body” Chinx Drugz’s widow made her surprise debut as a video girl in his new posthumously released music video, “On Your Body.” In the video, Janelli Caceres-Pickens is in Miami, getting dolled up for a night on the town with Chinx. She rides in a white Bentley through South Beach to meet him–only to be surprised by her three kids in an upscale restaurant. The video used lots of over the shoulder shots that showed off her tattoo of Chinx’s face and “Mrs. Pickens” at the nape of her neck. Chinx’s manager, Doug Ellison, unveiled the new video at his album listening party July 15 at Stage 48 in Manhattan, in front of guests like Maino, Sugar J, Welven the Great, Vado and French Montana’s brother Coke Boy Zack. The event showcased the rapper’s debut album, “Welcome to JFK,” which will be released Aug. 14. Ellison said they drove to Miami to shoot the video, which was shot in less than a week. “We’re here to pay homage to our brother,” he said. “It’s super surreal that I’m actually here and celebrating something he worked so hard for without him actually being here.” DJ Killa Touch, Jadakiss’ DJ (top left) and Meet Sims, who is on Chinx’ forthcoming album, at Chinx Drugz album release party July 15 Caceres-Pickens seemed to enjoy her time in the limelight, dancing on stage with her five-year-old son Lionel “Nugget” Pickens Jr. and rapping along to her late husband’s lyrics. But her emotions got the better of her when DJ Amazin played Chinx’s song “Die Young.” The visibly upset widow put her sunglasses on and looked down at the floor. The couple’s two other daughters were also on hand for the listening party. There was no sign of Chinx’s heavily pregnant ex-girlfriend Patricija Muratovic , who is due to give birth to their child, Liam, any day. Chinx was murdered in a drive-by shooting two months ago after coming from a performance in a Brooklyn club. His killer has not yet been arrested.
Giordano Cipriani Says Kendrick Lamar Took His Photo Of Woman Breastfeeding To Promote Single “Blacker The Berry” Without Permission A photographer accused Kendrick Lamar of ripping off his work without paying him a dime — and now the man has filed a federal lawsuit demanding he immediately stop and pay up, BOSSIP has learned. Giordano Cipriani sued Kendrick Lamar, Interscope Records and Aftermath Entertainment, alleging Kendrick stole one of his photos of a mother breastfeeding her child and used it to promote his single “The Blacker the Berry,” off of his second album, “To Pimp A Butterfly.” Cipriani said he shot the photo in 2011 in Africa, and said the rapper never asked for permission to use the picture nor did the record labels pay him for it, according to the suit, filed July 10 in New York Federal Court. He is demanding an injunction against Kendrick to stop him from continuing to rip off his work, along with damages for the unauthorized use of his photo. Cipriani is a freelance photographer who has had his art featured in numerous publications, and he earns his living by licensing the rights to his work. Giordano Cipriani says Kendrick Lamar used his photo of a woman breastfeeding to promote his single, “The Blacker The Berry” without permission or payment. The suit states that when Kendrick released his album “To Pimp a Butterfly” in March of this year, he used Cipriani’s photo to promote his single, “The Blacker The Berry” on his Youtube and Facebook pages. Ciprani wants Kendrick to pay him $150,000 for each time the photograph was used, as well as pay his lawyer fees. We’ve reached out to Kendrick Lamar’s management for comment.

The Aging Rapper Was Arrested Driving In Las Vegas Early Thursday; Arrest Could Send Him To Prison For Other Felony Driving Case Flavor Flav’s latest arrest behind the wheel may ruin his chance for a deal in his other felony driving case, BOSSIP has learned. Cops pulled over Flav, real name William Drayton, early Thursday in Las Vegas for speeding and allegedly found weed, an open container of booze and a fake registration. Flav’s license was also suspended. The arrest mirrors his other driving case in Long Island, where, in 2014, cops pulled him over for speeding on the way to his mother’s funeral. His license had also been suspended. He’s charged with felony operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and faces up to four years in prison if he’s found guilty. He is due back in court on the case next month. The pattern of reckless driving may make the Nassau County District Attorney less likely to cut a deal or, if he’s convicted, the judge may push for a full sentence, a law enforcement source told BOSSIP. Flav’s New York lawyer, Indji Bessim, didn’t return a request for comment. The troubled father of seven was still in jail awaiting arraignment Monday, a spokeswoman from the Las Vegas District Attorney’s Office told BOSSIP. No one answered the phone at Flav’s Las Vegas home, and messages BOSSIP left on his cell phone were not returned.
Cops ID Davon Wint As The Prime Suspect In Torture Slays Of The Savopoulos Family; Wint’s Father Told BOSSIP The Family Is Devastated Police have widened their hunt for the prime suspect in the macabre torture murders of a millionaire family in Washington D.C. Cops believe Daron Wint, 34, fled to Brooklyn after killing his former boss, Savvas Savopoulos, his wife, Amy, and son, Phillip and the family housekeeper. Police said family’s days long ordeal only ended when Wint set their $4.5 million mansion ablaze with them inside. Wint was a one-time employee of Savopoulos’ iron works company, and is believed to now be on the run in New York City where his girlfriend lives. Washington D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said Wint was “armed and dangerous.” The news comes as the failed Marine’s father told BOSSIP that he and his wife were destroyed by their son’s alleged crimes. “It’s just a surprise to me as it is to anyone else,” Dennis Wint said. “I’m trying to console my wife about this right now.” Washington D.C. Police said they identified Wint as the killer from DNA he left on pizza crusts left in the torched house. Although Daron Wint has previous convictions for theft and sexual assault, the elder Wint told BOSSIP he did not raise his son to be a killer. “My son is a grown man, he’s his own man,” Wint, 57, told BOSSIP from his home in the suburbs of D.C. “You make your kids, you don’t make their minds.” Wint, Sr. said he and his wife were now trying to adjust to their new reality. “Well, it’s nothing to think (about),” he said. “It is what it is.”

Six weeks before the roster deadline, the British-born but Virginia-raised Ellis on Tuesday settled on her 23-player team that will head to Canada this summer in pursuit of its first global title since 1999. The squad includes two members of the Washington Spirit pro club, two University of Virginia Cavaliers and a former locally based scoring ace. Ellis, in charge since last spring, is a graduate of Fairfax County’s Robinson Secondary School and William and Mary, and was a college assistant at Maryland and Virginia. Right back Ali Krieger and backup goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris play locally for the Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League. Krieger, who started at the 2011 World Cup in Germany, has deep local ties: She embraced the sport in Prince William Soccer, a youth club, and starred at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge. In spring 2003, she was The Post’s All-Met player of the year. “I’m very honored and privileged to represent my country as a member of this incredible group of footballers,” Krieger said. “We are well-prepared, motivated, determined and ready to succeed.” Defender Becky Sauerbrunn and midfielder Morgan Brian came from the elite U-Va. program. Sauerbrunn, 29, also played for the Washington Freedom in the WPS, the NWSL’s predecessor. At 22, Brian is the youngest member of the U.S. squad. In both 2013 and ’14, she won the Hermann Trophy as the nation’s best collegiate player. Krieger, Brian and Sauerbrunn are expected to start for the Americans, who lost to Japan in the 2011 final and are No. 2 behind Germany in the current FIFA rankings. Kenyan Filmmaker Makes New Movie Yellow Fever About Skin Bleaching A new short film titled “Yellow Fever,” Ng’endo Mukii, a Kenyan artist and filmmaker, reveals the truth about Western beauty standards and the tragic culture of skin bleaching through the eyes of a little girl. Via The Grio reports: “While growing up, I would come across women who practiced skin bleaching (‘lightening’, ‘brightening’), and often had a condescending internal reaction to them,” Mukii said. “Now, I realize they are only products of our society, as are we all. Since our media perpetuates Western ideals to our girls and women, and we consume this information continuously from a young age, how can we fault anyone who is susceptible to these ideals (men included), without challenging the people that are creating them?” In the film, Mukii’s niece, who is five years old, sits in front of a television screen with a white pop star and proclaims, “If I were American, I would be white, white, white, white and I’d love being white.” She then begins a heartbreaking tale of how magic could change her skin to be more white. Each moment of the film is flowing with conflict, but Mukii said perhaps the most “exciting” for her to work with was the body landscapes. “I had not worked with breathing bodies before in this way, and the effect of the staccato movement created from photographing individual frames was very satisfying. I was trying to create a sense of being uncomfortable in one’s own skin, and had been reading Frantz Fanon’s work at the time… I don’t know, it was the body as a breathing landscape, and the eruption of emotion. He relocated to Atlanta from San Francisco because, he says, his “scene” in San Francisco was getting too hectic. No one in the Bossip office quite understands what “scene” John was a part of in San Francisco, but they all agree he’s next in line to join the gay scene in Atlanta. He’s the ambiguously gay co-worker that flies under the radar. His desire to do the least amount of work is a source of contention in the workplace, but Sean keeps him around because he always manages to close the largest corporate advertising deals. Dalton Abramowicz is a 28-year-old Senior Researcher. He is a Yale graduate and heir to his father’s Brooklyn bagel fortune. He wants to make his own money and not rely on his inheritance, so he’s the definite overachiever in the bunch. His background did not prepare him to be the butt of most of the jokes at the Bossip office, but he keeps his eyes on the prize and is never discouraged by his coworker’s antics. He is in love with Gabrielle and secretly thinks that if he can convince her he’s just one of the guys, it will be the first successful step in his master plan to get her to convert to Judaism and eventually become his bride.
