Emily Palos is some up and coming model, I’ve never really heard of her, but apparently I am following her on instagram. Porsha Stewart: Staying "Prayerful" Through "Difficult Time"

Porsha Stewart made her first public appearance yesterday since her divorce from Kordell Stewart went public, walking the red carpet at the Bravo Upfront party in New York and trying to keep a brave face. “This is a very difficult time for myself and my family,” said The Real Housewives of Atlanta star. “I’m just trying to remain strong. That’s all I can do and stay prayerful and lean on my friends and family.” Porsha and Kordell often clashed on the reality show over having children and whether or not the former would continue to work if they did. But Stewart says she was shocked by Kordell’s filing and has since sent in legal documents of her own, asking for alimony and sole use of the couple’s Atlanta home. It’s early, but how is single life treatng her? “Well, when you have strong arms and strong family around you, they cover you – that’s what they’re there for,” Porsha told Us Weekly . “So that’s who I’m leaning on. And it’s really a blessing to see people, supporters and fans are standing up and just really showing me the love.”

Nicki Minaj Describes Lil Wayne as "Southern Gentleman"

Lil Wayne is known for many things: selling albums, taking Sizzurp , having seizures . But Nicki Minaj tell s MTV that the artist should also have a reputation for respecting women and knowing his boundaries, two traits that came out when she shot the music video (below) for “High School” with the superstar. Nicki Minaj – High School ft. Lil Wayne “He refused to touch me,” Minaj says of the duo’s sex scene in the video. Adds Nicki: “He’s so respectful… and I was like, ‘You could do this.’ But he was acting scared… He was just being crazy. But if I didn’t tell him ‘Yes, you can do this’ or ‘touch this,’ he refused to do it, like he’s a southern gentlemen, which people don’t realize.” The American Idol judge adds that Wayne is like her “brother” and that the two had a blast on set. “I texted Wayne and I was like, you’re going to have all the chicks back on you, know what I’m saying? Because when this video comes out, he looks like art, he looks like a piece of art all tatted up, all sexy, black and beautiful.” Lil Wayne already has four baby mamas. We don’t think he needs more chicks up on in his place.

The Academy Awards could finally get the dynamic host they’ve been looking for in Family Guy ‘s Seth MacFarlane , whom Deadline reports has been anointed emcee for the 2013 Oscars telecast. Given his solid SNL hosting debut (which began with an Oscars-appropriate song-and-dance monologue) the Ted creator is a well-rounded choice in a town that doesn’t actually have many writer-actor-producer-singer-funny voice-doers, let alone any willing to regularly push the boundaries of good taste. [ UPDATE : Watch Seth MacFarlane as he makes his official Oscar announcement via video.] But let us not forget, as Deadline reminds us: “Of course during the Emmys he didn’t find his mark and stood on the stage awkwardly when he was a presenter. But, that said, it’s an inspired choice by the Academy…” The man loves to sing and loves to put teddy bears in compromising positions. He’s got my vote of approval. The question is, will the over-50 Oscar-watching crowd take to a little giggity-giggity in their Academy Awards? [ Deadline ]

Lena Dunham, creator and star of HBO’s Girls , posted a picture and caption on Twitter recently that some of her followers were offended by. Wearing a scarf resembling a Muslim hijab (below), Dunham wrote “I had a real goth / fundamentalist attitude when I woke up from my nap.” Lena certainly didn’t mean to insult anyone by it, but in the wake of the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting , many were not amused: After people went crazy, Lena Dunham apologized, saying she hadn’t even heard about the shooting: “Been in production and completely not reading the news.” “Didn’t realize what a bad time it was to make a joke like that. Not a good excuse, but an excuse nonetheless. I’m glad you keep me informed and I’m deleting those tweets.” “Will spend tonight reading my pile of old NY Times, contemplating the boundaries of humor. I try and learn something new every day.” Then, after some fans came to Lena’s defense and said she shouldn’t be criticized for the joke/photo, the 26-year-old insisted she deserved it … while mocking Kristen Stewart’s apology for cheating on Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders : “You SHOULD apologize if you make a mistake! I mean, not to the K Stew level, but … ” Ouch. Point Lena?

Lady Gaga Presents at International Emmys

Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the International Emmys last night, presenting an award to American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. The British producer was given with honorary Founders Award. Gaga praised Lythgoe, her longtime collaborator who also produces So You Think You Can Dance , as someone who’s “always helped to nurture and foster [her] ideas, no matter how crazy or demographic-unfriendly they may have been. “He always spoke poetically about the pursuit of widening the boundaries of love and acceptance in TV,” the socially-conscious singer told the crowd. Lythgoe hailed Gaga, who has performed on Idol and guest-judged on SYTYCD , as “the most creatively talented woman in show business right now.” Not to mention the hardest working! Earlier in the day, the singer cut the ribbon for her new Gaga’s Workshop, a 5,500-square foot retail display at New York’s flagship Barney’s location.
