Brandi Padilla is seeking $190,000 per month in child and spousal support after filing for divorce last year . The Blast reports : As The Blast first reported, Garnett’s wife of 14 years, Brandi Padilla, filed for divorce last July. She is seeking physical custody of the former couple’s two kids, 10-year-old Kapri and 6-year-old Kavalli. In her original filing, Brandi said she wanted spousal and child support and in new court documents obtained by The Blast, she goes into detail about what she’s after. According to the docs, Brandi wants $46,000 a month in child support, estimating that she will have the kids 95% of the time. She’s also asking for another $146,000 in spousal support and then another $300,000 to cover her legal fees. Garnett has countered by requesting joint legal and physical custody and has cited a prenuptial agreement the pair signed before their marriage. — Photo: WENN

‘90210’ And ‘Riverdale’ Actor Luke Perry Dies After Suffering A Stroke

Source: Judy Eddy/WENN.com / WENN   TV icon  Luke Perry , best known for his roles on  Beverly Hills, 90210  and recurring role on The CW’s  Riverdale  has died due to complications from suffering a massive stroke last week,  TMZ  reports. Perry was 52. He passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California. He was surrounded by his children, his fiancé, ex-wife, mother, stepfather, brother, sister and other close family and friends. He suffered the stroke last Wednesday in his California home. The prolific actor was sedated after the stroke, hopefully to give his brain a fighting chance but the damage was too much for his brain to recover. He was Archie’s dad on  Riverdale  and became one of the ’90s biggest hearthrobs as Dylan McKay. His rep told TMZ, “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world.”

Nene Leakes going OFF on just about everyone was foreshadowed in a recent trailer for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  The star delivered one of the most convincing freakouts in the history of the franchise. Let’s start from the top of the hour because we have a lot to unpack.  Nene thought it would be a good idea to throw a party called “Bye, Wig,” and it meant all of the women had to attend with their natural hair.  It’s a great idea for a party, but would all of the ladies really want to leave their glam locks behind? Not a chance.  The day before the big event, however, things took a worrying turn. Nene’s husband, Gregg, was sent back to the hospital when a blood clot was revealed to be in his leg.  Gregg was worried about the way Nene was acting, so he turned to Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton to get them to check on his wife.  Marlo instantly made her way to the house and was mad that Nene was not home to greet her with open arms.  Marlo repaid Nene by showing up late to the party. Nene was ready and waiting for a fight because Marlo had been arguing with her via text message.  “If you have a friend who’s in pain and hurting, how do you come to them yelling and fussing?” NeNe shouted at Marlo. “I want you to take this more seriously, because it’s bothering me,” Marlo shot back, adding:  “I was in tears. I don’t know with the way depression is in this word; people are committing suicide. I don’t know what’s your breaking point.” “Marlo support me b—, don’t f—ing fight me, Nene complained. “I’m going through every pain. I am your sister, b—; I’m going with a lot of things.” Nene was in tears by this point, and everyone rallied around her.  “I have definitely seen NeNe go from zero to 100, but this is a total breakdown,” Porsha Williams told the camera. “This is probably NeNe at her most vulnerable state.” “I’m not a devastated person,” NeNe sobbed. “You know I don’t break down in front of people.” “I’m at my breaking point,” Nene admitted in a confessional. “I feel like people don’t understand. They don’t get it.” Nene and Marlo managed to patch things up, and all seemed right in the world.  But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Obama Portraits Help Break Visitor Record At The National Portrait Gallery

L ast month marked a year since the portraits of former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama was introduced to the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. and the two vibrant illustrations of the couple have been a major draw for visitors. According to the Washington Post , the portraits of the Obamas were instrumental in helping the Smithsonian museum break a visitor record. “Where are the Obamas?”: Paintings of Barack and Michelle brought a million more people to Portrait Gallery https://t.co/kVcuLhVxFt — The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) February 26, 2019 The portraits—which were created by artists Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald —has taken the visitorship at the gallery to new levels. The Smithsonian American Art Museum ended 2018 with a total of 2.3 million visitors; an increase of a million more visitors than they had the previous year. Those who work at the National Gallery’s information desk say that they’ve never witnessed new paintings draw in so many people prior to the addition of the Obama portraits. Gallery volunteer Mary Francis Koerner says that visitors would typically ask to be directed to the portraits of the presidents but that question has changed over time. “Now it’s ‘Where are the Obamas?” she told the news outlet. “They have brought in so many people. After 4:30 there’s an uptick of the younger generation, and that’s who they come to see.” While the Obama portraits are visually captivating, they hold deeper meaning beyond the surface. The couple selected two African-American artists to create the artwork; making them the first Black artists to receive presidential commissions. “Big museums like this are dedicated to what we as a society hold most dear,” Wiley said in a statement, according to the Denver Post . “Growing up as a kid in South Central Los Angeles, there weren’t too many people who looked like me on those walls. The ability to be the first African-American painter to paint the first African-American president of the United States — it doesn’t get any better than that.” The National Portrait Gallery was created in 1962 and the tradition of adding portraits of outgoing presidents began in 1994. Napa Valley’s First Black-Owned Wine Estate Inks Deal With Delta Air Lines

T he creators behind Napa Valley’s first Black-owned winery estate are continuing to make monumental moves in the wine and spirits industry. According to the Philadelphia Tribune , Brown Estate Vineyards has inked a deal with Delta Air Lines to have its wine collection available on their flights. Delta Airlines is ending Black History Month on a high note. The airline is partnering with Brown Estate Winery, the first black-owned winery Napa Valley. https://t.co/qs4XZ8QxgD — Blavity News (@Blavity) March 1, 2019 The partnership between the airline and the winery is a part of Delta’s effort to take a more inclusive approach in regards to the vendors that the company works with. The brand was introduced to Delta by Carlyne Scott who serves as a member on the company’s Black community business resource group. Initially, Brown Estate’s products were featured on a Delta flight from San Francisco to New York as part of a Black History Month special, but leaders at the airline decided that they wanted to take the partnership further. On Tuesday, Delta announced that Brown Estate wines will become one of their suppliers during the 2019-2020 winter season. The leadership team at Delta is excited to bring the brand on board. “Partnering with innovative, diverse suppliers from certified small-, minority- and women-owned businesses like Brown Estate is fundamental to Delta’s strategy to keep climbing year-round,” Heather Ostis , Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Delta Air Lines, said in a statement. “Seeking employee perspectives and leveraging unique ideas brings us closer to meeting that goal, while creating the highest quality experience for our customers.” Deneen Brown —who founded the company with her siblings 24 years ago and now serves as president of Brown Estate Vineyards—says that this is a major win for her and her family and is excited to partner with Delta. “We are delighted to partner with Delta Air Lines,” said Brown. “Delta’s all-in commitments to the spirit of inclusion and to their wine program are perfectly aligned with our core values at Brown Estate.” Brown Estate Vineyards is not only the first but the only Black-owned winery estate in Napa Valley, California. There is a need for more representation in the wine industry. Research shows that less than 5 percent of wineries in the U.S. are Black-owned. According to the Detroit Free Press , Smith is using his platform as an avenue for activism and bringing a water filtration system to the city. The company—which is an eco-friendly natural spring water brand—is joining forces with Flint’s First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to implement a system called “The Water Box” which can help reduce lead and other toxic chemicals in contaminated water. The Water Boxes are engineered through digital devices. Aside from his passion for the arts, Smith has been a fierce advocate for environmentalism. “I want to have something I can feel good about that I can feel like it’s changing the world. I’m not only being neutral with the world, I’m actually making the world a better place,” he said when asked about his water brand during an interview with Highsnobiety . “That’s when I was like, if I can feel that way, that would be amazing. But then if everybody else could feel that way, that’s a dream come true. I’ve just always wanted to be an advocate of humanity.” The First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church has been dedicated to addressing the water issue in Flint. According to the news outlet, the church has given over 5 million bottles of water to local residents. This isn’t the first time that Smith has led philanthropic efforts in Flint. According to the Huffington Post , last year his company vowed to donate water each month to the city’s schools until the water was safe to drink. Thousands of bottles were donated. Source: Kevin Winter / Getty Oprah Already Knows Her After Neverland Interview Will Get Hate Oprah Winfrey already knows that she’s going to be sparking some controversy with her new special After Neverland , an interview with the two men who have accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were young. “I’m gonna get it,” the talk show host predicted during a taping of the broadcast on Wednesday. But, Oprah argued, the issue of sexual abuse is too important to remain silent no matter how much her program angers the “gloved one’s” fans. “This movie transcends Michael Jackson,” she told an audience of over 100 abuse survivors. “It allows us to see societal corruption.” The program is set to air on March 4, which comes after the second and final episode of the upcoming HBO documentary. Leaving Neverland is a four-hour investigation into the claims of Jackson accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck and Winfrey was joined on stage by the two men along with the director Dan Reed for a talk that was filled mixed emotions. Winfrey made it clear that she finds the men’s allegations credible, but the Jackson estate has continued to push back against Robson and Safechuck. Before going public with his abuse claims in 2013, Robson was known for being one of Jackson’s most avid defenders, denying the pop star had ever behaved inappropriately while serving as a key defense witness in the pop star’s 2005 child molestation trial. Safechuck also testified that he was never abused as part of the singer’s 1993 molestation trial, but declined to testify on his behalf in the follow-up trial. Both men say they were groomed by Jackson to stay quiet as he repeatedly told them that their lives would be ruined if they broke their silence.

Amanda Bynes: Back In Rehab Following Relapse?

Back in November, fans rejoiced at news of an Amanda Bynes comeback. Bynes was one of TV’s most popular entertainers at the height of her fame, and her foray into film acting was highlighted by roles in such films as Hairspray, Easy A , and She’s the Man . Late last year, Bynes opened up about her drug use in a revealing interview with Paper magazine. The actress joked about some of her behavior during the depths of her addiction, but she also spoke of her recovery in a way that indicated she takes her sobriety quite seriously. In an effort to explain her erratic behavior and provide a cautionary tale to fans, Bynes spoke candidly about the lowest points of her addiction, including when she was too strung out to complete her work on the 2011 film Hall Pass . “I remember being in the trailer and I used to chew the Adderall tablets because I thought they made me [higher that way],” she told the magazine. “I remember chewing on a bunch of them and literally being scatterbrained and not being able to focus on my lines. Or memorize them, for that matter.” At one point, Bynes was placed under 5150 psychiatric hold , and it seemed unlikely that she would ever work again, or even be able to care for herself. For the past few months, however, her life has appeared to be on the upswing, and family and friends confirmed that there’s reason to be optimistic. “Everything is wonderful,” Amanda’s father said at the time. Sadly, it now looks as though Bynes has experienced a roadblock on her path to recovery. According to a new report from Radar Online , Bynes has checked back into rehab , apparently after suffering some sort of relapse. Details are scarce, but the site claims that Amanda’s friends and family are devastated by the setback. Fans of the actress are maintaining their optimism, however. After all, it’s possible that Amanda is being proactive in her decision to seek further treatment. It’s not uncommon for recovering addicts to check into in-patient facilities as a sort of “maintenance” regimen. Whatever the case, Amanda is still surrounded by a support network of devoted loved ones, and she remains under a conservatorship controlled by her mother.
