Sexism is over! … Okay, not really. But Jon Gosselin’s post congratulating his girlfriend Colleen Conrad has some people chuckling over some refreshing role reversals. Which should not, of course, distract from celebrating this couple’s good news. Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend, Colleen Conrad, graduated from nursing school. The reality personality took to Instagram to congratulate her, his caption indicating that she intends to become a nurse practitioner. Lately, we know that Jon Gosselin’s been working as a stripper . When he’s not saving people’s lives , that is. He’s credited the profession with putting his life back on track, which makes sense — with his novelty as a reality star, it could definitely pay the bills. We’ve all heard stories of women who were strippers to put their boyfriends or fiances or husbands through medical school, or who at least stripped during that time. You know, in anticipation that the future doctor or nurse would eventually become the breadwinner. Some pointed out similarities, though we’ve seen no indications that Jon’s been bankrolling her through school or anything like that. But it’s always nice to hear a man praising his girlfriend’s career milestones instead of the other way around. Stripping can be a great way to make money and some find it empowering, but the age range for it to be a viable career is pretty limited. In other words, medical professionals are likely to make more with age. Over time, strippers are likely to make less . In Jon Gosselin’s case, he’s kind of older than you usually picture a stripper being, but — and we say this with no intended offense — we think that his career is based more on his fame than on his looks. And that’s totally okay. So, if the Jon Gosselin’s novelty wears off before he lines up a new gig, if he and Colleen are still together, she could be the breadwinner for a while. Jon Gosselin’s still famous, even though he’s no longer a reality star. Though he’s glad that his family’s time in the spotlight has provided for a financial future for his children, he’s expressed concerns in the past that the fame may impact them in unforeseen ways. Honestly? We don’t think that he needs to worry. Growing up famous can screw with you plenty — just look at Kylie Jenner. But for the Gosselin children, we can’t imagine that the long-term mental scarring from fame will hold a candle to the damage of being raised by that beast Kate Gosselin . We also think that he knows that, but probably has very good reasons for not saying it. Custody situations can be … complicated. But this moment is about Jon and Colleen, and not Jon’s heavy personal baggage. We’re glad that they were able to toast to her graduation from nursing school and to her new career. Honestly, we hope that Jon sticks to stripping for a while if he’s enjoying it. You want to ride that fame train as far as it will take you, you know? So long as it keeps paying the bills, anyway.

Tinashe recently chatted with The Guardian about her upbringing and life in the music industry. Things got especially interesting however when the “Too On” songstress spoke on colorism in the black community. According to Tinashe, in the music biz you’re “either Rihanna or Beyonce… “It’s kind of like sport; people feel like they have to pick a side.” Suddenly she springs forward, her default laid-back demeanour temporarily out of the window. “There are hundreds of [male] rappers that all look the same, that sound the same, but if you’re a black woman, you’re either Beyoncé or Rihanna. It’s very, very strange.” Judy Eddy/WENN.com and sometimes the biracial songstress doesn’t feel “fully accepted” in the black community. “Tinashe’s mixed-race heritage, which was used “as another example of why I was different” during those difficult school years, also remains an issue. “There’s colourism involved in the black community, which is very apparent,” she says carefully. “It’s about trying to find a balance where I’m a mixed woman, and sometimes I feel like I don’t fully fit into the black community; they don’t fully accept me, even though I see myself as a black woman. Amanda Stanton knows the double-edged sword of social media all too well. She’s competed on The Bachelor and signed up for two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise , but what’s drawn the ire of fans and followers isn’t her reality show antics — but her parenting. So now she’s taken to Instagram to BLAST mom-shamers who think that she’s neglecting her kids. “I don’t normally like to address the trolls/mom shamers … but it’s so out of control!” We don’t usually recommend addressing trolls, but we know how irresistible the temptation can be. And in this case, we’re glad that she did. “I’d like to take a moment to clarify first of all that my kids DO have a father that is part of their life. They spend time with him too.” We wonder how many of the mom-shamers just don’t understand how custody arrangements work. “So if you see a photo of me without my kids one weekend and comment something like ‘mother of the year’ or ‘wow shouldn’t she be with her kids?’ Well, there’s a VERY good chance that I can’t be with them because they’re with their dad.” Children should always come first for any parent, but they don’t need to spend every moment when they’re apart from their children laying about despondently like they’re on a commercial for depression meds. Her post went out before Bachelor in Paradise ‘s production was shut down and everyone was sent home, so she also defended her decision to appear on the show’s fourth season . “As far as Bachelor in Paradise goes, it doesn’t film for very long at ALL. I know it airs for 2 months … but it actually takes a lot less than that to film it.” Now, Amanda, isn’t saying that that going to ruin the TV magic? We kid, of course. Any TV magic that Bachelor in Paradise might have used to make viewers forget the true nature of reality television was pretty effectively neutralized. You know, by the whole sexual misconduct investigation . You’d think that after her relationship with Josh Murray ended disastrously , she’d have learned her lesson about using reality TV to actually find a partner, but she decided to do another season. But you know what? If it works, it works. And if it doesn’t work, she still brings in more money to give her children an even better life. That’s our take, anyway. Though clearly this season of Bachelor in Paradise hasn’t worked out as planned and may never actually happen. “I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and spend more time with my kids than most parents.” Brag much? We know that she’s trying to be reassuring, but some parents are tormented by how much of their children’s lives they miss because of work. Anyway, the rest of her message is kinder. She explains that when she’s filming, her children stay with their father or grandparents. Which makes sense — that’s usually how life works, it’s just that most people are on work trips or something instead of filming. Then she talks about how, you know, different parents lead different lives, but this time sounding a little less snooty about it than she did when she bragged about working from home. “I understand that most parents don’t go on reality TV shows … but everyone’s lives are different. … My kids are my entire world. I am doing my best to give them a great life.” And, honestly, that’s why we have to come down on her side, more than anything else. Fame can be toxic, but a little fame and the money that can come with it can make the difference between a good life and a great one. How many kids wish that their parents had gotten opportunities like Amanda Stanton has? Can you imagine how her children would react if they grew older and learned that she’d declined the chance to pursue a reality career because she wanted to spend every minute with them? She’s not dropping them off at the mall to wander around for hours (they’re 3 and 4), she’s leaving them with their relatives who love them. Some cases of parent-shaming are well-deserved . B these mom-shamers sound like their families never knew to cut the umbilical cord. In news that will surprise literally no one, the feud between Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes just keeps on getting worse. And, yet again, Eddie Cibrian is stepping into defend his wacky wife. The issue is the same as it was last week — Brandi got upset that LeAnn viewed her boyfriend’s Snapchat videos and then coincidentally ended up at the same restaurant as her. LeAnn brought Brandi’s children and Eddie to celebrate Stepmother’s Day, and Brandi perceived the move to be a calculated attempt to upset her . (Brandi was also upset because LeAnn has allegedly been trying to copy her whole entire life for nearly a decade now, but they all seem to be focused on the Snapchat incident, so we’ll stick to that.) Eddie responded to Brandi’s claims — or, as he called it, her “foolishness” — in a statement telling the world that “I will not allow false and reverse accusations to go unanswered about my wife.” He said that LeAnn is “a fantastic stepmom to the boys,” and that she’s “always gracious to their mother,” which is a laugh . Then, in another statement, he claimed that when everyone was at that same restaurant, “Brandi was very drunk” and kept trying to come to the Cibrians’ table. “After witnessing Brandi’s behavior at the restaurant,” he said, “I was concerned about what pictures Brandi might post.” “We looked at their socials after we got home to make sure there was nothing of concern. That’s exactly how it all went down.” And, well, if Eddie took the time to specifically say that “that’s exactly how it all went down,” looks like we’ve got no choice but to trust him. But Brandi’s still not having it. In a new statement to Us Weekly, Brandi insists that LeAnn viewed her boyfriend’s Snapchats before they went to the restaurant. “At the moment we saw them at Nobu we questioned the timing and saw they had viewed the Snapchats prior,” she says. “This happened while we were at the restaurant.” “To justify your wife’s stalking of my boyfriend’s social media as you were ‘concerned’ as to what we might post seems a bit farfetched.” Well, she’s not wrong. Brandi adds that “I am not interested in this back-and-forth game. I am asking for them to leave us alone and not monitor our lives through social media and other methods.” She also tweeted “Why is Eddie speaking out for LeAnn she’s 35 & old enough to defend herself isn’t she? Someone balls have been clipped, her bitch I guess!” When asked why she was bringing up their personal issues on social media, she wrote “I’d rather not but it’s always been the only way I can curb their behavior at least for a time being.” “The amount of sh-t I’ve put up with privately is ridiculous. They look like their innocent because they do it to me in private.” Sadly, she added that “My kids will know how I was treated one day. I’ve never discouraged my boys from loving her. She’s the one wanted to get rid of my title!” She also advised Eddie to “tell his wife to have some boundaries. 8 years of letting her do crazy sh-t! Enough is enough.” So it sounds like both Brandi and Eddie have their own version of how things went down, and unless one of them admits they’re lying (or unless Snapchat comes through with some time stamps), we’ll never know the truth. Can this possibly get any worse?

And then just when you're willing to write these examples off as exceptions and embrace reality television again, along comes Josh Duggar confessing to sexual molestation and… well… … it doesn't get any more grotesque than that. Here is a look at 27 scandals that have absolutely rocked the world of reality television. 1. Josh Duggar Admits to Sexual Molestation That title says it all, doesn’t it? In the spring of 2015, Josh Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting fame apologized for molesting multiple young girls when he was a teenager. 2. TLC Cancels Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Give the network credit.
