It’s too soon to tell if Bret Michaels will truly be able to resume performing next month, as a message on his website teased this week. But the good news continues to pour forth about ailing rocker. “He’s doing good. He’s not by any means out of the woods, but he is getting better every day,” said sister Michelle Sychak in an interview with the Omaha-based “Todd N Tyler Radio Empire” radio show on Wednesday. Michelle added that her brother’s speech was coming along. “Things are definitely looking up… he sounded good – as good as you can when your brain’s throbbing,” she said. “He seems very coherent to me and like he knew what he was saying… [He] does sound like Bret. Truth be told, I think he’ll outlive us all.” Sychak said Bret is stable, but remains in the intensive care unit. As always, we wish him the very best.

After suffering from a brain hemorrhage, Bret Michaels was rushed to a hospital. While he was in critical but stable condition, several tests were conducted. Later, his doctors found out he had a side effect called Hyponatremia. Hyponatremia is a lack of sodium in blood that can cause seizures. According to Dr. Melvin Field, it shouldn’t be considered a setback and it’s not going to cause permanent problems. Most people who suffered from brain hemorrhage have the tendency not to remember most of their hospitalization; and there a greater chance the rocker would also experience the same thing. Bret Michaels has suffered a setback. As the singer tries to recover from last week’s brain hemorrhage , he received some bad news in the intensive care unit today: Bret was diagnosed with hyponatremia, a side effect that is caused by a sodium deficiency. It can lead to seizures. “Michaels remains under 24-hour observation in the ICU and is in positive spirits. He is responding well to tests and treatments,” his rep said in a statement. “Even though today was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery.” The rock star is conscious and in critical but stable condition. According to a representative for Bret Michaels, the rocker “remains in ICU under 24 hour surveillance” and “further testing this week will help locate the source of the bleeding” While not exactly encouraging news about the singer, who suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage last week, this message on BretMichaels.com is at least based on fact and written by someone close to the situation. Then there’s the latest from Donald Trump. Like a Republican politican resorting to scare tactics for attention, the Celebrity Apprentice host tells TMZ that Michaels is in “big, big trouble and the prognosis is not great.” Trump doesn’t back this statement up with any medical information, but does at least offer the following about Bret, who is competing on The Donald’s reality show: “He turns out to be an amazing competitor and ultimately that is the thing that could save his life.” We sure hope so. Meanwhile, a new theory has surfaced about Bret’s condition. Because such hemorrhages are typically related to blunt trauma, might this accident have caused the bleed? It certainly seems possible.
