Lil Wayne Released From Hospital Wayne had quite a health scare the other day as his plane made two emergency landings for two separate seizures he had while onboard the aircraft. Now, after a day or so under doctor supervision in a Nebraska hospital, Wayne feels like it’s business as usual. He’s left town and is off to make his scheduled appearances like nothing ever happened. Via TMZ : Lil Wayne is back on the road, and not slowing down at all … after getting treated for the seizures he suffered on board his private jet. Our Weezy sources tell us he checked out of the Omaha hospital on Tuesday and immediately made a beeline out of town — despite having made 2 emergency landings on Monday when the seizures started. We’re told Wayne is not cancelling any shows — his next one is scheduled for Saturday in Kansas City. As we told you … Wayne was seen double-cupping a lot of codeine syrup Sunday night in Milwaukee. It’s unclear if his latest seizures were brought on by lean — like they were 3 years ago — but, for now, Wayne doesn’t seem worried. Well, even if it is lean-related, we assume making an observation that he might want to cool it on all of that would fall on deaf ears. Wayne said it himself about 7 years back: He knows what he’s doing….we guess. Michael Bezjian/Getty Images for Maxim

So…who nominated him? Wanted Man Caught By Police After Posting Ice Bucket Video Most people know that if you’re hiding from police it’s best to keep a bit of a low profile . But one fugitive from the law just couldn’t resist taking on the ALS ice bucket challenge and showing all his friends on social media. Maybe he thought the cause was more important than his freedom? Via Gawker : Jesean Morris was wanted by police in Omaha for violating the terms of his parole. They found him after someone saw his video for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge—the dousing that has captured the nation’s attention and clicks—on Facebook and reported him. According to the Omaha World-Herald, after learning of Morris’ location, police arrived and saw him get into a PT Cruiser and be driven away. Police followed, pulled the car over and arrested Morris, who allegedly first gave officers a fake name and spit in their face. Morris also allegedly kicked down the partition between the front and back seats of the police car. The Smoking Gun, citing state records, reports that Morris was released in March of this year. He was tried and sentenced as an adult for his involvement in a shooting in 2010, when he was 16. Well in light of his enthusiasm to take on fad challenges, we nominate this one to the common sense challenge! All you have to do is let a single coherent thought go through your mind before you commit to any action…then nominate five more of your dummy criminal friends. SMH.

Omaha Cursing “Toddler Thug” Taken Into Protective Custody The “Thug Cycle” has been halted for this little cussin up a storm toddler … According to Raw Story: A diapered toddler seen repeating profanities in an online video has been taken into protective custody by authorities in Nebraska, police said. The video was posted by the Omaha Police Officers Association under a title, “The Thug Cycle,” that some found offensive. “We here at OmahaPOA.com viewed the video and we knew that despite the fact that it is sickening, heartbreaking footage, we have an obligation to share it to continue to educate the law abiding public about the terrible cycle of violence and thuggery that some young innocent children find themselves helplessly trapped in,” the police union said in its post, adding that the video came from “a local thug’s public Facebook page.” Investigators said they found nothing criminal in the video, which shows the child making obscene gestures to adults who hurl racist and obscene comments at the boy and prompt him to repeat crude phrases. “Now while we didn’t see anything in this video that is blatantly ‘illegal,’ we sure did see a lot that is flat out immoral and completely unhealthy for this little child from a healthy upbringing standpoint,” the police union said in its post with the video. The union’s president, Sgt. Jeff Wells, also said one of the adults mentions a local street gang in the video. The child was taken into custody Wednesday along with three other children by Omaha police’s Child Victim Unit and the Nebraska Child Protective Services. Police did not release the names of any of the children or families or disclose their relationship to one another. “That is why when we talk about the culture, the criminal culture, that this is to try to break the cycle and deal with the culture of violence and the culture of gang activity,” Wells said. But local civil rights activists said the police union’s post “crossed a line” in a city where officers’ treatment of minorities, who make up about a quarter of Omaha’s population, has led to lawsuits and criminal charges against a pair of cops and firings and reassignments of others in the past year. “For them to take a video out of context — a 2-year-old who doesn’t have the brain capacity to know what’s going on — and to say that this child, because two adults acted inappropriately, is going to end up in a life of crime is totally inappropriate,” said Willie Hamilton, president of Black Men United. And we thought it could never be “one of us.” The Omaha student who went on a shooting rampage at his high school Wednesday posted a chilling message on Facebook warning of the attack and blaming the school for driving him to violence. Robert Butler Jr., 17, burst into an office at Millard South High School in Omaha during school hours and fired four to five shots, striking the assistant principal and the principal before fleeing in his car and eventually committing suicide about a mile from the school, Omaha police said. Assistant Principal Vicki Kaspar, 58, died at a hospital hours later. The principal, Curtis Case, 45, was reported in serious but stable condition. No students were injured in the shooting. Butler’s friends and family were left dumbfounded by the attack and struggled to explain what drove the boy, described as fun-loving and energetic, to his gruesome end. “It’s just unreal,” Robert Uribe, Butler’s stepgrandfather, told The Associated Press. “I don’t know what would possess him to do that.” But a rambling message Butler posted to Facebook just hours before the shooting has left some clues. In the expletive-laced rant, Butler, who had been at the school for only two months after moving from Lincoln, Neb., wrote that the new city and the new school had changed him. According to several media reports, the post read: “Everybody that used to know me I’m [sorry] but Omaha changed me and [expletive] me up. and the school I attend is even worse ur gonna here about the evil [expletive] I did but that [expletive] school drove me to this. I wont u guys to remember me for who I was b4 this ik. I greatly affected the lives of the families ruined but I’m sorry.” Butler signed off the post with an ominous “goodbye.” Local police did not say what kind of gun Butler used or how he obtained it. Butler’s father is a detective for the Omaha Police Department, and investigators were interviewing him to learn more about what may have led to the shooting. Students and friends described Butler as a fun-loving prankster who was occasionally scolded by teachers for cutting up in class, but didn’t seem angry. “He didn’t seem like a kid who would go out and do this,” Butler’s buddy Jacob Rinke told The AP. “When I first heard about this in school, I didn’t believe it. I was pretty much in denial about it.” SMH. We have got to do better a better job of teaching these kids how to deal. Source

It’s too soon to tell if Bret Michaels will truly be able to resume performing next month, as a message on his website teased this week. But the good news continues to pour forth about ailing rocker. “He’s doing good. He’s not by any means out of the woods, but he is getting better every day,” said sister Michelle Sychak in an interview with the Omaha-based “Todd N Tyler Radio Empire” radio show on Wednesday. Michelle added that her brother’s speech was coming along. “Things are definitely looking up… he sounded good – as good as you can when your brain’s throbbing,” she said. “He seems very coherent to me and like he knew what he was saying… [He] does sound like Bret. Truth be told, I think he’ll outlive us all.” Sychak said Bret is stable, but remains in the intensive care unit. As always, we wish him the very best.
