Meghan McCain is bringing her outspoken views to Pivot. Yes, that’s a television network. Or at least it’s about to be. The daughter of John McCain will anchor “Raising McCain” on the new network, which debuts on August 1, telling reporters on Friday that the series lets her “be crazy, be myself and talk about issues.” And those issues often upset Republicans. McCain believes we should legalize marijuana . She also says she loves sex, loves men and hates Bristol Palin . “I came to Pivot because I think there has to be some sort of middle ground between the Kardashians and C-SPAN,” McCain says. “I want to give people information but not talk down to them. I am so excited. This is the best thing I’ve ever done.” And while Meghan admits there has been “conflict” with her famous father over some of her past quotes, “he has really been a great champion of this show and believing that young people want more substance… “I believe in more than this country is being given in news and entertainment.”

Bristol Palin, Kyle Massey and Lifetime have buried the hatchet over the abysmal reality show Life’s a Tripp . Phew. You may now return to your lives. Palin’s former Dancing with the Stars cast-mate and his brother were suing her and the show for $500,000; they claimed the idea was stolen from them. We know … they should compensate the U.S. that much for having subjected us to it. Still, the Massey bros claimed it was their idea and they were cut out of the final project about Bristol Palin and her move to L.A. They were far from pleased. They filed suit, but apparently it’s been resolved, amicably. A rep for the Masseys now confirms that all is settled and that an undisclosed settlement was reached, with the brothers “pleased” by the terms. That also sums up America’s reaction to its cancellation.

Bristol Palin received a marriage proposal from a creepy stalker and promptly sought a restraining order after he showed up at her mom’s house on her son’s birthday. Yep, all of that happened. According to court documents, Bristol Palin obtained a temporary restraining against Michael Cummings, a 39-year-old Texan she claims she’s never met. Their only contact? An engagement ring he sent her in the mail, along with a note saying, “I (heart) you.” That’s not strange or uncomfortable at all. Bristol alleges Cummings was spotted at her mom Sarah Palin’s house on December 27, Tripp’s 4th birthday, at which point she immediately filed for protection. She’s hoping to make the order permanent at a hearing this month. Palin’s not exaggerating, it sounds like. Cummings’ own mom called local police to tell them her “unstable” son was in town to see her, so clearly he’s got issues. At least she has new BF Joey Junker to protect her as well.

Kristen Stewart is the latest issue of Marie Claire Australia … but don’t stare too closely at the photos, people! Seriously. Don’t do it! “I’m particularly weird because I don’t even like being looked at,” the notoriously shy actress tells the magazine. “A lot of actors love it and they love going out and literally doing it as an activity. I hate it.” Stewart, who is definitely back together with Robert Pattinson and who has signed on to star alongside Ben Affleck in a future vehicle, added of her life/career: “I’m sort of bored now. I wanna work on something and maybe it doesn’t have to be an acting job. I’ve been hanging out with my dogs and my family and, to be honest with you, I’m still catching up on sleep.” Doesn’t have to be an acting job, huh?!? Might Kristen be hinting at that rumored wedding to Pattinson ? You’re right. Probably not.

Sarah Palin’s oldest son, Track, is filing for divorce from his wife. Track Palin and his wife, Britta, jointly filed divorce documents in an Alaskan court, which required they watch a 48-minute video about the impact of a failed marriage on a child. Under Alaska law, by filing together , they signal that they have settled all property and custody issues, including child support. They have a one-year-old daughter, Kyla. Track Palin and Britta married in 2011. He is an Army reservist and served time in Iraq. He works as a commercial fisherman and plans to go back to college. Sarah has five kids: Trig, Track, Willow, Piper and Bristol Palin .
