Miley Cyrus and Sky Ferreira: Girl-on-Girl Love on Tour!

Okay, so maybe it’s girl-on-girl love of the platonic variety, but based on recent photos of the two, Miley Cyrus and Sky Ferreira are seriously crushin’ on each other. Miley hand-picked Sky to open for her current Bangerz tour and when Sky opened up about life with Miley in a recent interview with Buzzfeed, the world braced itself for tales of hard partying and raging egos. As it turns out, though, Sky has nothing but kind  – and kinda boring – things to say about her twerk-happy headliner. “We just clicked right away,” Sky says about Miley. “Our personalities get along really well. Miley is a girly girl, but she also isn’t. She likes putting on makeup, she likes sexy clothes and stuff, but she’s pretty down. The term is so stupid, but she’s down to earth.” Sky added that she and Miley both tend to get along better with members of the opposite sex: “I love girls and I wish I had more friends that were girls and I think that’s kind of a thing with [Miley] too.” As for Miley’s reputation for partying? Turns out America’s highest-paid female celebrity is more of a pothead homebody.  “Everyone thinks me and Miley are the ones raging, but it’s Icona Pop, man!” Sky said, referring to Miley’s other opening act. “Those girls like to party.” Frankly, we’re not surprised to hear that. The Sociology Of Miley Cyrus: Actually Offered at Skidmore College!

Most students try to avoid summer school. But Skidmore College may see a rise in applications this year, thanks to a course offered by Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology Carolyn Chernoff. It’s titled “The Sociology Of Miley Cyrus.” As you can see in the syllabus above, the class will not teach Twerking or spitting on audience members . Instead, it will focus on the “rise of the Disney Princess,” while taking a look at other stars (such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera) and also teaching: Gender stratification and the hyper-commodification of childhood. Different kinds of transitions to adulthood. Allies and appropriation. Uses of culture across race, class, and gender. Bisexuality, queerness and the female body. Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears married fiance Jamie Watson in New Orleans, La., on Friday night. Jamie and Jamie, together forever! Proud papa Jamie Spears (they like that name) walked her down the aisle. Mom Lynne Spears accompanied her betrothed daughter to a nail salon near their home in Kentwood, La., as wedding preparations kicked into high gear. The bride had picked out a gown by Liancarlo while out shopping for wedding dresses with her 4-year-old daughter, Maddie, and Lynne January. Speaking of her older sibling, Britney Spears and David Lucado were spotted catching a flight from of L.A. to Louisiana to witness her sister’s big wedding . Maddie was the flower girl and sparkled in a little white dress while Britney’s two boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, walked together as ringbearers. Jamie Watson, 30, popped the question a little over a year ago, with Spears showing off her diamond and complimenting her fiancé on a job well done. This is the 22-year-old’s first trip down the aisle. She was engaged to, but never married, Maddie’s dad, Casey Aldridge, her high school boyfriend. Daylight Saving Time 2014 Guide: All You Need to Know!

It’s about time, people. Literally and figuratively. See what we did there?! Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, and not a moment too soon for Americans beaten down by the polar vortex and desperate for this long, dark winter to end. Daylight Saving Time is harbinger of spring and a cause for celebration. It’s also inherently confounding for millions of Americans. Every year. Fortunately, THG is here to break it all down and help you through this. Here’s all that you need to know about Daylight Savings Time 2014: It begins officially tomorrow: Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. Time “springs” forward one hour (see infographic). Set your clocks ahead before you go to bed tonight. Done. Or stay up until 2 a.m., put ’em at 3, then hit the sack. BAM. Your iPhone should do this automatically. Your microwave? No. Yes, this means losing an hour of sleep in the morning. Boo. Especially if you have kids still on a nap schedule. Weak. But you get an extra hour of sun in the evening now. NICE. The concept of DST dates all the way back to 1895. It was recently extended in the U.S. to save energy use. Daylight Saving Time 2014 ends on Sunday, November 2. If you can’t figure out how to change the clock in your car, there is hope: Just make a mental (or Post-It) note that it’s an hour slow until 11/2. The concept was the brainchild of Ben Franklin.
