Brooke Burke Knows How to Work the Mic

Here’s Brooke Burke hosting the Miss America pageant over the weekend looking a little rougher around the edges than I remember her. I guess all those years of doing nothing have taken a toll on her good looks. Anyhow, I guess I just thought these pictures were kinda hot because I like how she’s grabbing that mic like it’s a big old…. You get where I’m going with this. more pictures of Brooke Burke here

“First, you need to be healthy,” the Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke, 39, tells Shape magazine in its January issue, on newsstands Dec. 20. “That means exercising to relieve stress and build energy. It truly is good for your s-ex drive to work out.” For Brooke Burke, keeping the romance alive with her actor partner David Charvet is as easy as one-two-three. Second, she says, create a romantic mood with candles and s-exy music on date night. And third? Don#39;t break that date, no mat

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Host Talks ‘Crazy Lineup’

‘The Situation has a lot of charm,’ Brooke Burke says. ‘I think we’re going to see a lot abs!’ By Jocelyn Vena Brooke Burke Photo: MTV News When “Dancing With the Stars” kicks off later this month, it will star two of MTV’s most recognizable faces, “The Hills” alum Audrina Patridge and “Jersey Shore” ‘s very own the Situation . The show’s host, Brooke Burke, admits that she’s excited to see how light on their feet the reality-TV stars are. “I think they both have a lot going for them,” she told MTV News at the VMA Radio Forum on Friday (September 10). “I know Audrina is going to look amazing. She looks the part already. She’s gonna get out on the ballroom and look so beautiful and elegant. Can she dance? I have no idea.” While Burke is equally unsure about the Sitch’s dancing experience, she does think he’ll impress the audience with his stage presence. “The Situation has a lot of charm and he’s got courage and I think he’s going to be fun to watch,” she said. “And I think he’s going to have fun doing the show, and I’ve always said that’s a huge part of it.” The Situation, however, may find himself having to play catch-up since he’s starting rehearsals later than everyone else as the “Jersey Shore” was filming its third season. “He has such a disadvantage because he’s not able to rehearse for the full month,” the host said. “But [his partner], Karina [Smirnoff], is amazing and she’s a powerhouse and she’s really tough, so if anybody can get him show-premiere ready, Karina can do it. I think we’re going to see a lot abs!” Burke added that fans shouldn’t just be amped for Situation and Audrina — the entire “DWTS” lineup is impressive. “I think it’s a crazy lineup. It’s anybody’s game right now,” she said. “No one has dance experience. I love this season because it’s totally unpredictable. Everybody’s talking about the Situation. I don’t know: We got Rick Fox competing against Kurt Warner, two athletes. I think Kurt Warner has an amazing Cinderella story. Jennifer Grey, you know she’s going to bring back the ‘Dirty Dancing.’ It’s kind of a crazy cast. It’s a good eclectic mix.” Who are you most excited to see on “DWTS”? Tell us in the comments!

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Elimination: Kate Gosselin Bids Tearful Farewell

‘She’s a single mom, so I give her all the credit in the world for showing up,’ partner Tony Dovolani says. By Kelley L. Carter Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani Photo: ABC Fan favorite Kate Gosselin and her partner Tony Dovolani were sent packing on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” whittling the celebrity contestants down to seven. Gosselin and Dovolani landed in the bottom two for the first time this week, and it was an emotional end to her run. In spite of continually receiving low scores, fans of the reality-TV mom voted for her to stay on the show week after week. “Well, you know, it is what it is,” Kate offered when co-host Brooke Burke asked if she was surprised to be in the bottom two. “Kind of, maybe, but not really.” The judges didn’t seem all that surprised, but they were baffled that Pamela Anderson and partner Damian Whitewood landed in the bottom two. “It’s crazy, and it’s not right!” an animated Bruno Tonioli said. Gosselin was so worked up, she initially was unable to speak upon learning that she had been voted off. “I’m very proud of Kate, because I know she gets a lot of criticism out there and it is difficult — especially knowing my wife is watching with three kids — [Kate] has eight kids, and she’s a single mom, so I give her all the credit in the world for showing up,” Dovolani said. “As exhausted as she was, she still showed up every day. As a teacher, I’m very proud of you, because I thought you danced beautifully. You showed America that it doesn’t matter how much things go against you, you still come out here and give it your best.” Finally, after crying for a bit, Gosselin could speak. “My gut feelings are always right, and it’s OK,” she said. “I had the opportunity; I’m very, very honored to have been here. I love everyone that I met. It was a great experience, and I’m sorry I’m crying. I’m a crybaby!” Do you think it was Kate and Tony’s time to go, or should someone else have been booted off of “Dancing With the Stars”? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Jake Pavelka: Dancing with the Stars Diva

Hey, what do you know, it’s a story about a quasi-famous reality TV star who was then cast on Dancing With the Stars and is now clashing with their partner. Jake Pavelka, everybody! According to sources , Jake has been a “jerk” who makes Chelsie Hightower cry. Her offense? Pointing out things he’s doing wrong in rehearsal. The nerve. Also a source of strife? Vienna Girardi . Jake’s “clingy” fiancee from The Bachelor is always on the set, supposedly, and Chelsie is reportedly getting fed up. Now that Vienna somehow scored a job as a reporter for Extra , covering DWTS no less, we don’t foresee that situation getting any better anytime soon. Chelsie Hightower and Jake Pavelka leave practice smiling … for once . Even co-host Brooke Burke admits the tension between the trio is growing “week to week.” Will it only escalate if Jake Pavelka advances deep this season? We can only hope. The burden of entertaining us with bad dancing and diva behavior has fallen squarely upon Kate Gosselin until now. Gal needs a break! Who are you rooting for on Dancing with the Stars?

Aiden Turner Voted Off Dancing with the Stars

This week, Dancing with the Stars voters got it right. Or at least we did. If the goal were truly to rid the show of its worst performer, Kate Gosselin would have been gone last night … and likely the previous two elimination rounds, too. But Dancing with the Stars is as much a popularity contest as a competition, and All My Children star Aiden Turner lacked it, as well as talent. Not a good combo. Still, host Tom Bergeron tried to tease us at the onset: “A favorite might be going home tonight.” THG might get an exclusive sit-down with Brangelina today, too. Despite her alleged breakthrough, Kate Gosselin was in the bottom three with Turner and Niecy Nash – the three poorest performers Monday, to voters’ credit. From that point on, you knew the fix was in for Kate Turner was toast. Unfortunately, Edyta Sliwinska was eliminated last night. Monday evening “was the first time I had total and complete fun and I’m addicted and I’m totally going to cry if it’s over,” Kate told co-host Brooke Burke Tuesday. She was deemed safe before Aiden and Niecy, though, so she’ll be back next week for “movie night,” whatever that means. Turner’s take on being exiled? “Each week I came out here to give it my all,” he said, smiling. That’s all you can do. Bow down to the dancing goddess that is Kate Gosselin and move on. Who are you rooting for on Dancing with the Stars?
