W.i.P. Nightclub to Tony Parker: Chris Brown and Drake Ain’t Biggie and Tupac!

W.i.P. nightclub feels Tony Parker’s lawsuit against them is baseless and that there is no way they could have predicted the melee that went down. NBA star Parker filed a $20 million lawsuit this week, claiming the club is responsible for the Chris Brown-Drake fight in which he was injured. Parker sustained a scratched retina from shards of glass flying after Brown, Drake, Meek Mill and threw down, requiring eye surgery as a result. Tony says it’s obvious “there was bad blood between Drake and Brown” (allegedly over Rihanna ) and that W.i.P. staff should have known better. Moreover, he says they fueled matters by selling their posses alcohol. But sources close to the club, which has been shuttered, say Drake and Chris Brown are not prone to violence … at least not toward other dudes. The club feels the fight was out of its control , and as for the alleged bad blood, a source said, “Chris Brown and Drake are not Biggie and Tupac.” Parker also suggested that the club was way understaffed, which W.i.P. refutes, saying that 15 security guards were working the night in question. So far, no charges have been filed related to the brawl, though the club was closed indefinitely and the case is still under investigation by the NYPD.

Rihanna on Drake-Chris Brown Drama: Just Crazy!

If Rihanna didn’t feel like she was the only girl in the world before this week, the violent nightclub altercation between Chris Brown and Drake – or at least their entourages – certainly could be seen as an ego boost … or just scary. She is, of course, Brown’s ex and Drake’s friend, collaborator, and rumored hookup. For her part, she was at a different club, with Brown, earlier in the week, but Rih was nowhere to be found at W.I.P. when things got ugly Wednesday. She heard about it, though, says a source who claims Rihanna “loves this! Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course she loves the drama .” After a deluge of texts telling her what went down, “She just laughed. She’s spoken to both of them and just thinks it’s crazy. She’s glad she wasn’t there!” “She just wants to be friends with both of them.” Clearly they have different ideas. Brown tweeted a pic of a serious gash on his chin after a member of Drake’s posse allegedly hit him with a bottle. Drake has denied “any wrongdoing” through his rep, but Brown and his attorney have pointed the finger at the Canadian rapper and his entourage. A member of Brown’s posse may have been the primary aggressor, however, as reports suggest he was making gang signs and death threats at Drake. Neither star is considered a criminal suspect in the incident. Rihanna hasn’t taken a side … but you can!

Chris Brown-Drake Fight: All About Rihanna, Sparked By Middle Finger!

It looks like last night’s wild fight between Chris Brown and Drake was, in fact, about the former’s ex and the latter’s rumored hookup, Rihanna. Imagine that. Sources also indicate that while Drake’s telling the truth when he says he wasn’t involved physically in the epic melee that ensued, he definitely stirred the pot. Drake gave Brown the middle finger, engaged in some serious trash talk, and recruited several other rappers to join his posse before the brawl, witnesses say. Tension started escalating, supposedly, when Drake gave the middle finger to one of Chris’ bodyguards and shouted, “I’m about to go whoop that ass!” Chris’ entourage responded with a few hand gestures of their own. Witnesses very close to the action say Drake felt disrespected … even though he started the exchange. At that point the rapper went to get backup. His boys Juelz Santana, Trav B and Meek Mill – the one who sources say hit Brown with a bottle and gashed his chin – then stepped into the beef. At this point, the latest report says that Drake got loud and shouted at Chris something to the effect of “You be on that ho s**t on Twitter n***a!”

‘Dallas’ Reboot: Five Burning Questions

Wednesday night’s series premiere left us wondering everything but who shot J.R. By Kara Warner Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson in “Dallas” Photo: How about that highly entertaining return to “Dallas” Wednesday night (June 13)? TNT’s reboot of the iconic ’80s hit struck a chord with viewers, 6,863,000 of them to be exact, which made it the #1 scripted series premiere on all of cable so far this year. Now that we’ve seen the first extended episode and been properly introduced to the new young castmembers , it’s time to throw out a few burning questions we hope to have answered over the course of season one. Whose Side Is Marta On? Despite the aggressive scheming set up by the male characters on the show, the biggest surprise in the series premiere was in the reveal of the bait-and-switchery by Marta Del Sol (played by Leonor Varela). She’s “working” for both sides of the Ewing family, or is she? J.R. told his son that he’s known her for years and that she’ll be the key to taking Soutfork from brother Bobby, and then we see John Ross and Marta having their own not-at-all-inconspicuous meeting on the 50-yard line of Dallas stadium. So who is Marta really working for? Bobby, J.R. or John Ross? How Soon Will Christopher and Elena Rekindle Their Romance? Clearly the love still burns between Christopher and Elena. We didn’t even need that heated scene re-hashing the abrupt end to their too-recent engagement to know that their flame has yet to be extinguished. So what now? If John Ross is responsible for sending the email that ended their relationship, there are trying times ahead, no matter the fact that Christopher just married his second love, Rebecca. We’re predicting to see a kiss between Christopher and Elena by episode three or four. Who’s Responsible for the Burglaries? Over the course of this first extended episode there were two burglaries, one at Christopher’s office and another at Bobby’s home. Was it John Ross? J.R.? It’s certainly easy to blame John Ross, since he is so obviously adept at manipulation and acquiring confidential information. And J.R. has no qualms about robbing his brother, but why make such a big show of it? And if it wasn’t the J.R.’s, who did it and how will they use whatever was taken against their targets? How Serious Are J.R. and Bobby’s Illnesses? Come on now, we just got the original Ewing boys back on the air and they both have life-threatening illnesses to deal with? Sure, it’s realistic that Bobby and J.R. are dealing with cancer or perhaps other age-related ailments, but we cannot have their lives hanging in the balance of this first season, at least not due to medical reasons. We’ll take a good ol’ bounty on their heads or something appropriately more dramatic. In the meantime, how long will J.R. and Bobby be dealing with these problems? Is John Ross Inherently Good or Evil? All signs currently point toward evil, given the fact that John Ross is likely the reason for the end of Christopher and Elena’s engagement, along with the burglary at Christopher’s office. Not only that, but he wants to wrestle Southfork away from his own flesh and blood and defy the wishes of his beloved grandmother. According to actor Josh Henderson, who plays John Ross, the troublesome young lad is going to be walking a fine line all season. “It’s funny people keep asking, ‘Who’s good and who’s bad?’ ” Henderson laughed. “We’ll have to see. I follow in my father’s footsteps basically, a little bit. Now how that describes my character we’ll see, but it’s definitely a lot of fun.” What burning questions do you have after the “Dallas” premiere? Leave your comment below!

Chris Brown A ‘Victim’ In Drake Bar Brawl

‘Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities,’ singer’s rep says in statement about the altercation. By Jocelyn Vena W.I.P. nightclub Photo: Shortly after Drake broke his silence about the Big Apple brawl between his camp and Chris Brown ‘s, insisting he was on his way out of the NYC nightclub at the time of the incident , Brown released a statement also proclaiming his innocence in the matter. “Chris, [girlfriend] Karrueche [Tran] and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at WIP,” his rep told GossipCop.com . “They sustained several injuries. Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further.” In addition to the two entourages partaking in the scuffle — which not only injured Brown, but also his bodyguard, Big Pat — one bystander was also injured during the altercation . TMZ reports that a 24-year-old Australian tourist, Hollie C., had been at the club when the incident occurred and was struck by a flying bottle. “Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me, consequently hitting me in the head,” she told the site. “I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness.” She was brought to the hospital, where she received stitches. She has since filed a police report. “I had to take the subway home with no money or jacket,” she added. “Nobody would even sit beside me. My friends were so scared because they did not know where I was.” Footage has since surfaced on GossipCop of Chris Brown and Meek Mill (who was with Drake and reportedly threw the bottle at Brown) leaving the club. Meek was spotted walking down the sidewalk, while Brown takes off his shirt before getting into a black SVU. Drake is also reportedly in the clip, but he is hidden in the crowd. Trey Songz was also filmed walking out of the club. The video, posted by We Mobbin DVD, implies that more footage will soon find its way online, for a price, including footage of the actual fight. Meek Mill has since denied having anything to do with the fight . The club has yet to return MTV News’ request for further comment. Related Artists Chris Brown Drake

Drake Denies Role in Chris Brown Fight; Source Says Meek Mill Bashed Singer’s Face With Bottle

Drake is adamant that he did not beat up Chris Brown last night, claiming he was in the process of leaving the nightclub when the stars’ entourages threw down. Chris Brown’s fight with Drake and his posse at a New York club left him with a gash on his chin (he posted a pic of it on Twitter that he later took down). He says he was leaving when $h!t went down though. His rep said: “[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began.” Earlier reports indicated, contrarily, that Brown and Drake had been hanging out in the VIP section when Drake began pointing and yelling at Brown. Brown began yelling back, witnesses say, and that’s when members of both entourages rushed in and began shoving each other repeatedly. With tensions escalating, someone threw a bottle, causing an all-out melee. It’s unclear who threw it, but bedlam erupted and security called the police. Now, a new witness claims it was a rapper hanging out with Drake, Meek Mill (pictured below), who was screaming at Chris and vice versa, not Drake personally. One of Chris’ “lieutenants” was also involved in the screaming match. The informant won’t say what specifically the music stars’ camps were arguing about, “for fear that someone will get hurt.” You can use your imagination there. Another source says Chris was hurt when Meek Mill hit him with a bottle. What’s clear is that Brown and Drake left the scene by the time the cops showed up, but several members of their entourages remained at the club. Multiple members of both crews required medical assistance and the club suffered some serious damage in the fight, including many busted tables, broken mirrors, shattered lighting and glass scratches all over the floors. 50 Cent Sets July 3 Release Date For Long-Delayed LP

Fif talks to Philadelphia radio station about Five (Murder By Numbers) and pal Floyd Mayweather’s ‘difficult’ time in prison. By Carter Maness 50 Cent Photo: 50 Cent has confirmed that his next official LP, Five (Murder By Numbers), is set to drop on July 3. In a wide-ranging conversation with Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9 , which comes off his recent appearance on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” Fif also touched on label politics and boxer Floyd Mayweather’s stint in prison. The new album, which follows the back-to-basics Lost Tape and The Big Ten freebies, will be the last in his turbulent deal with Interscope . “I said I was gonna put a record out that was completely up to album standard, and I’m gonna do that. I worked on this album for a long time. It’s been three years,” he said. The reason for the delay? Label politics. 50 actually gave his longtime home Interscope credit for his musical successes, but noted that it’s easier to see their failures when an artist doesn’t have excessive hype. “Labels at different points, they drop the ball,” Fif said. “It’s not visible when the momentum is feverish. For me, with Interscope, all the success I’ve had in music has been with them.” The G-Unit CEO, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, also gave an update on his friend Floyd Mayweather, who is currently serving a three-month sentence for domestic battery of an ex-girlfriend in front of their two children. “He’s not doing good right now,” said 50. “He only been out seven hours since he been in there. They doin’ everything to make this difficult.” Right before Mayweather began his sentence last month, Fif told MTV News that the boxer has a deep connection with music. “Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don’t know about,” 50 explained. “It’s a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world.” Are you excited for 50 Cent’s next album? Drake And Chris Brown Brawl: More Details Emerge

‘[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property,’ his rep tells TMZ. By Jocelyn Vena W.I.P. nightclub Photo: As more details emerge about the reported altercation between Chris Brown ‘s and Drake ‘s entourages at a Soho nightclub, a rep for Drizzy is denying that the Canadian MC had anything to do with the scuffle at NYC hotspot W.I.P. “Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.I.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began,” his rep told TMZ . “[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” The site further reports that the fight broke out between the two camps after Brown and Meek Mill, who was at Drizzy’s table , started “trash talking” each other. Despite earlier suggestions, it was reportedly not over Rihanna, who has been romantically linked to both Drake and Brown. According to the TMZ source, Brown’s face was hurt when Mill threw a bottle at him. Other sources told GossipCop.com that the incident went down around the same time as last call, at 3:50 a.m., when the two crews were partying along with Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo and Fabolous. Right before Brown got hit in the face with the bottle, the eyewitness said Drake looked “pissed” and “serious.” Once the bottle was thrown, by someone in Drake’s camp — though the site does not specify Mill as the assailant — that’s when things got ugly. For about 15 seconds, the two parties, made up of about 15 people each, began throwing glasses, bottles and metal ice containers at each other, with some people getting caught in the crossfire. The site also obtained a photo of Brown’s bodyguard, Big Pat, who got a serious head injury during the scuffle. In the photo, Pat is lying on a stretcher with his bloody head bandaged. While GossipCop reported that neither Drake nor Brown ever hit each other, Brown did get a wound on his chin. Right after the incident, both parties left the club and then police officials and the club’s bouncers cleared out the club. A call placed by MTV News to the W.I.P. nightclub was not returned by press time. Related Artists Drake Chris Brown

Chris Brown, Drake Crews In Brawl At NYC Club

NYPD confirm they were called to scene of a fight at W.I.P. but no arrests were made. By Rebecca Thomas Drake and Chris Brown Photo: Rappers stay schemin’. And if the reports are to be believed, R&B singers do too. After hitting up the Maybach Music Group listening party in the Bronx, Young Money rapper Drake headed to New York’s SoHo, where his camp reportedly got into an altercation with Chris Brown’s crew on Wednesday night. According to TMZ , the NYPD has confirmed that Drizzy and Breezy got into a fight at W.I.P. nightclub, where bottles were allegedly thrown. A photo posted to Brown’s Instagram showing the singer sporting a bloody gash on his chin quickly made the rounds on Thursday (June 14). But Breezy’s timeline had been sanitized entirely at press time. Drake and Brown have been the subject of rumors, particularly in recent months, as buzz built that the two were fighting over Rihanna. Brown’s long-term relationship with the Bajan singer imploded after he assaulted her in 2009, but they continued to be linked to each other. Drake has spoken in song about his own fleeting romantic encounter with Rihanna; the pair were spotted out together during Memorial Day weekend in Miami. Five people were injured in last night’s brawl, before the New York City Police Department were called in the early morning hours, around 4 a.m. TMZ reported that Brown and Drake were not at the club when police arrived; no arrests were made.
