Bam Bam Brown: THIS is What I’ve Been Up To!

With so many members of the Brown family gathered in Colorado to film Alaskan Bush People … or so fans hope … it’s easy to remember that some of the Browns are conspicuously absent. Bam Bam Brown hasn’t exactly been in the public eye all that much. But now he’s giving updates on himself, his girlfriend, and their boat-related adventures. Of the “missing” Browns, Noah is usually the easiest to spot. Though fans have been pissed at Noah Brown for “abandoning” his family , he’s actually remained pretty visible. Fans bump into him and his fiancee, Rhain , in various parts of the US. We know that Noah’s goal is to eventually move to Alaska and become sheriff of a small town. (No idea why that’s his desire, but live your dreams, my guy) We’ve known for a while now that Bam Bam Brown is living on a boat with his girlfriend, Alli. During Season 6 of  Alaskan Bush People , Bam Bam Brown parted ways with his family and the show to live his own life.  He went with Alli (Allison Kagan), who was a producer on  Alaskan Bush People . The two of them are dating. Reports said that it was a luxury yacht, which is … true and yet not true, as we’ve learned. Bam Bam is clearing the air and giving fans a thorough update on his life. The boat thing is true! But a little more complicated. See the boat was built in 1986, and needed a lot of work. And Bam Bam and Alli have been doing a lot of that themselves, as you can see in the above photo. On November 1st, Bam Bam tweeted: “Celebrating 1 year with our little girl. All she needed was a little TLC and a new name. # boatanniversary # alsostarteddatingayearagotoday” By “our little girl,” they definitely mean their boat. Don’t panic that there’s been a secret Brown grandchild that we never knew about until she had already turned one. (Though that would be quite something) On a Twitter account dedicated to their boat, now named Fathom This, Bam Bam and Alli (who run the account together) shared a series of tweets detailing changes that they had made. They disposed of old, ’80s tiling and gave other much-needed updates to the boat. Rather than calling it a yacht, they choose to characterize it as a ferry. In an update, Bam Bam described how they decided that they wanted to do this: “The boat idea came to us when we were on the Staten Island ferry … and how cool it would be to have a space that large and also be on the water.” Wow. It’s rare to hear anything positive related to Staten Island. We don’t mean that in a mean way, just … it’s literally rare to hear that kind of positivity. “Alli searched and found the old ferry just before she was going to be sold for scrap!” A real fixer-upper, then. “We have been gutting and renovating her ever since. … Alli has great artistic vision and huge plans for the renovation.” Admittedly, if it’s been a year and you’re still talking about “plans” and “vision,” things aren’t coming along super quickly. But hey, what’s the rush? Also, other members of the Brown family will be pitching in, as Bam Bam writes: “My dad is excited to help us with the plumbing, and the rest of the family can’t wait to come aboard.” And it looks like he’ll keep us all updated: “We are excited for you to follow her progress … and unveil her when she is finally finished!” Bam Bam and Alli did add, almost as an afterthought: “Also, we are not moving to the Bahamas…although that would be nice.” We have a sad suspicion that Ami Brown’s stage 4 lung cancer has, well, made it harder for any of the Brown family to make decisions as they otherwise might have. Maybe Bam Bam and Alli were planning on living in the Bahamas at one point, or maybe they weren’t. But it’s hard to imagine them being comfortable settling down while Ami is fighting for her life. Whatever Bam Bam and Alli have planned, though, we’re excited to see more of it. And if the family’s planning to come aboard, we wonder if — even though it doesn’t fit the show’s brand — we might see Bam Bam’s boat on Alaskan Bush People . Christine Brown: Sister Wives Star "Miserable" With Kody, Polygamy!!!

Polygamy isn’t for everyone. Just ask Sister Wives’ Christine Brown’s aunt, Kristyn Decker. Decker defected from the Latter Day Saints polygamous sect, Apostolic United Brethren, which the Browns – Kody, Christine, Meri, Janelle and Robyn – happen to belong to.  According to Radar Online , Decker’s father, Owen Allred was once the leader of the sect. Decker told Radar recently that she doesn’t “believe” Christine is happy , and it’s showing. “I call it ‘miserable happiness.’ That truly describes those that were in polygamist marriages and those that left,” Decker said. “I think they are just miserable and the show started showing it.” From watching the TLC series, Decker notices a “lack of connection between the women. “They don’t know where to stand when they’re talking about their relationship with the other women. They don’t get the quality time they want with their husband. Neither do the children. The spousal connection isn’t there.” I’m no expert on the subject, but I can’t imagine polygamy makes it easy for a husband and wife to connect when there are at least two other women involved. “They are happy because they believe they are serving God or their God. But it is miserable happiness,” Decker went on. “I think the Browns are precious people. They are just misled like I was. “They were born and raised with it. They are not representing the majority of polygamy.” Decker didn’t elaborate on that last quote, which begs the question “What exactly does the majority of polygamy look like?’ Last year, Meri was caught up in a catfish hoax ; she got involved in an online relationship with a woman from Oklahoma who pretended to be a man. The woman then made threats to Meri, forcing the reality star to come clean on air. View Slideshow: 13 Reality TV Lies People Somehow Believe

Cuba Gooding Jr. Addresses Controversy Over O.J. Simpson Mini Series, Wishes Goldman And Brown Families Peace

Cuba Gooding Jr. Wishes Goldman/Brown Families Peace Don’t know about y’all but we are kinda hype to see The People v. O.J. Simpson when it premieres Tuesday — but we didn’t realize creators of the mini-series never reached out to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman until reading about how they have publicly expressed being uncomfortable about not being included in the making of the show. Apparently Cuba Gooding Jr. has heard those concerns and is doing his part to assure the project he signed on to star in maintains a high level of integrity. Via E!Online reports: “I just hope that they find some peace because I can’t imagine what they’re going through,” he says when asked if there’s anything he’d like to tell the families. “You know, when I signed on to this project, it was because Ryan Murphy was doing it and I want to work with real filmmakers and that first and foremost was my reasoning for accepting this role. Prior to this offering, I had an offer to do a film based on O.J.’s innocence and I passed. So, here I am. So, I don’t pretend to try to understand what any of this means to either the Goldmans or the Browns, but I’m an actor. I was asked to do a role. Hopefully I brought some truth to it and that will help in the process of understanding the circus that was this time in America.” He adds that the goal was to use their considerable talents to faithfully present the lives of those caught up in the media circus surrounding the case to this new generation. “I want people to know that we had the best intentions to bring our artistry to the lives and the events surrounding that trial and the personalities that were surrounding it as well,” Gooding says. It turns out the series used Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson as the series’ main source material, which is why the family wasn’t contacted by Ryan Murphy and his team. The People v. O.J. Simpson premieres Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. on FX. Bobbi Kristina Brown Death Photo: Shopped Around at Funeral?!

On Saturday, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral turned into yet another family feud, and it could be far from over if this report is to be believed. Leolah Brown to Pat Houston: You’re Going DOWN! Fans of the late Whitney Houston may recall rumors of the Houstons snapping and shopping a so-called “death photo” at her 2012 funeral. Fast forward three years to Bobbi Kristina meeting a similarly tragic end and the Browns fearing a repeat performance may have occurred. The Browns were outraged that a photo of Whitney Houston’s body, in her casket, was taken and ended up on the cover of a magazine. As for why they blame her side of the family? The Browns were persona non grata at the service , so they do have a point in that regard. Sources say the Brown family planned to band together and stand guard so that a Bobbi Kristina Brown death photo did not circulate. Their eyes were firmly trained on the Houstons, especially Pat Houston, who was in charge of managing the funeral outside Atlanta. All signs pointed toward this already sad occasion turning ugly, and fast – which is pretty much how it played out to say the least. Bobbi Kristina’s paternal aunt, Leolah Brown , was KICKED OUT OF THE SERVICE following a bizarre outburst at Pat Houston. As Pat Houston was getting ready to speak, Leolah reportedly stood up and shouted at her, “Pat, you know you are wrong for this!” She was swiftly escorted from the church by security. “I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave,” Leolah told the press, which had assembled outside the memorial event. Leolah was asked if she thought Bobbi Kristina’s death would signal the end of the feud between the Browns and Houstons families. “It’s just getting started,” she said. Game (sadly) on.

Drugs Are Bad M’Kay: Bobbi Kristina Reportedly Abused Coke, Heron, And Xanax Prior To Falling Unconscious In Tub

Bobbi Kristina Found To Have Been Abusing Cocaine, Herion, And Pills Our worst fears, confirmed… Via NYDailyNews Bobbi Kristina Brown, like her doomed mom Whitney Houston, was using drugs before she was found unconscious in a bathtub, according to People magazine. The 21-year-old daughter of Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown was regularly taking heroin, cocaine and Xanax in the months before she was rushed to a Georgia hospital on Jan. 31, the magazine reported. Xanax was one of the drugs found in Houston’s system after she drowned in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. A source told People that Bobbi Kristina, in the weeks before the tragedy at her home in Roswell, Ga., was “distraught” about the coming third anniversary of her mother’s death. The aspiring singer/actress was also in and out of rehab for her demons — including heavy drinking — since her mother’s death, the source indicated. Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized for depression almost immediately after Houston passed away. “This girl was trying hard, but she didn’t have any support system,” the source told People. “She was still dealing with a lot of grief over her mother.” God bless Bobbi Kris, the Browns, and the Houstons. This whole thing is incredibly sad, but why was no one in the family around to stop and help this girl??? Image via WENN

Hate It Or Love It?–Oprah Set To Bring Tyler Perry Over To OWN For ‘Exclusive Partnership’

Please O…none of us want another Perry Produced/Written sitcom. Is it just us or is this a bad move for her and the OWN Network? We’ve got to hand it to Oprah…her network was falling so far in ratings many of us were wondering if OWN would still be on air right now. But with shows like Super Soul Sunday, Oprah’s Lifeclass, Iyanla, Fix My Life, and her Next Chapter interviews, the network was has bounced back and reported numbers in the double-digits this past quarter. So what’s her next step? She’s bringing scripted programming to the network and she’s turned to Tyler Perry…(kill us now). OWN sent out a press release recently and they’ve confirmed that the network has entered into a partnership with Perry, who is set to produce ‘scripted’ material for the channel: Los Angeles, CA – OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today an exclusive partnership with Tyler Perry, the award winning actor, director, screenwriter, playwright and producer, to become his singular destination for all new television series and projects, including two new scripted series for the network to premiere in mid 2013. These will be the first original scripted series for OWN and Perry will executive produce, write and direct both series. The announcement comes as OWN’s momentum and ability to draw new viewers continues to grow. The network closed its third consecutive quarter of year-over-year, double-digit ratings gains across primetime and total day in the key women 25-54 demo (+63% and +70% respectively) and saw triple-digit ratings growth in September. Perry’s popular television series “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” “Meet The Browns” and “For Better Or Worse” have been massive hits with record-breaking ratings. Perry had his first foray into television in 2007 with the hit series “House of Payne,” which premiered as cable’s biggest comedy debut ever. The series remained basic cable’s top-rated sitcom only until the premiere of Perry’s second series “Meet The Browns.” “I have been looking forward to the day when we would be in the position to enter the world of scripted television. That day has come,” said Oprah Winfrey, CEO, OWN. “We are all energized by the opportunity to collaborate with Tyler who has a proven track record for producing highly successful cable series. He has an incredible ability to illuminate life stories and characters in his unique voice and inspires and encourages people all over the world.” “It’s a dream realized to partner with Oprah and bring scripted programming to OWN,” stated Perry. “She has accomplished so much with the network and I’m excited to work with her to be a part of its continued growth.” “Bringing Tyler Perry exclusively to OWN is a major coup. Today’s announcement demonstrates the power of the Oprah brand to attract some of the biggest names in television and film to OWN,” said David Zaslav, president and CEO of Discovery Communications. “OWN’s growth over the past nine months has been nothing short of phenomenal and, with the continued support of our advertising and affiliate Partners, this bold move into scripted entertainment positions OWN to continue that momentum going forward.” What do you think about this collab? Is Oprah trying to reach out to the black community via Perry? And will he step outside of the box and not give us show(s) like House of Payne, Meet the Browns, and For Better or Worse?
