So this dude slits his own throat, gets shot with a rubber bullet or whatever and falls off the building he is on with style and grace, I am talking some Olympic caliber gymnastic performance, far better than any Bruce Willis action movie bullshit….give this guy an Oscar, I like his passion and commitment to his role, even if his role is real life mental issues…. Imagine what your life would be like if you were paid $3 million for four days work. Pretty nice, right? Not for Bruce Willis. As we reported the other day, Harrison Ford has taken over for Bruce Willis in Expendables 3 . At the time, the only information anyone had came from Sylvester Stallone’s Twitter feed, in which Rocky proclaimed how excited he was about Ford’s involvement followed shortly by: “GREEDY AND LAZY ….. A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.” Turns out, Stallone was calling out Willis for his reaction to contract negotiations. Willis was offered $3 million for four days work on the action film sequel, but he wanted $4 million. Yes, a million dollars per day. That offer was turned down and Willis decided to walk. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with an insider who said: “I think Willis was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford . A better actor, a much nicer person, and a more interesting direction for the film.” So there you have it. Twitter is no longer just for the pre-teen hysterics and ridiculous reality TV melodrama. Nope, it is now the sounding board for behind the scenes ongoings involving millions of dollars.
Bruce Willis is a fine actor and a great ex-husband. But he may be the world’s worst movie promoter. Conducting an interview this week with Magic 105.4 FM in London, the actor looked more disinterested than Chris Brown at a violence against women seminar, answering questions with one word and making it clear he’d rather be ANYwhere else. Willis is seated alongside Mary-Louise Parker for the Q&A, who recently said she may quit acting because people on the Internet are so mean. And what does she think of the magazine’s top choice , Miley Cyrus? “She’s beautiful,” Gomez said Friday’s edition of “The TJ Show” on 103.3 in Boston, adding that she doesn’t understand why such a list even exists. Along the way, the must stave off a barrage of assassination attempts. John Malkovich, Bruce Willis, Mary Louise-Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, and Brian Cox star. Red 2 will premiere July 19.
Fewer than 24 hours after suffering a truly gruesome leg break on national television, Louisville guard Kevin Ware is up and walking around. On crutches, that is. In a new Twitter photo making the Internet rounds, the 20-year old basketball player is standing in an Indiana hospital room, his right left fully bandaged after surgery to repair a break in two places. Doctors inserted a rod into Ware’s tibia during a two-hour procedure that sources say went very well. After snapping the bone in half – and having it protrude through his skin – during the first half of Louisville’s win over Duke yesterday, Ware is hoping to join his squad for its appearance in the Final Four next weekend. He won’t play, of course, but physicians say he should be able to return to the court at some point.
Kate Gosselin is in the middle of another nasty battle on Twitter, and this one is weirder than ever. She’s allegedly being stalked … by an older woman. A war between pro- and anti-Kate that’s raging on Twitter has now gone nuclear as the group @Bullyville named what they claim is Kate’s stalker. That stalker, they claim, is a 62-year-old woman. Bullyville posted a screen grab Monday of a tweet apparently sent to Kate containing what appears to be a chilling threat plus profane, abusive language: The tweet was sent to the 38-year-old on her birthday and read “happy bday o a GRIFTING, stealing, lying child & animal abusing (censored) (censored).” “Hope u choke on ur birthday cake. REMEMBER SELENA.” Selena, the singer, was killed by her fan club president. The person named as Kate’s stalker has allegedly sent more than 74,000 anti-Kate tweets. On Sunday, Bullyville announced that it was taking action against Kate Gosselin haters who it says have crossed a line, vowing to expose the offenders. The group Tweeted: “We’re launching #opkatehate effective tomorrow. These bullies have collectively pissed off the hive, it’s too late to #expectus.” The anti-bullying site followed with “we now know where all of @kateplusmy8 bullies work. Employers sure don’t seem to like negative media attention.” Those tweets took the battle over the mother of eight to a new, even more fierce level, with her detractors turning up the heat on the conversation as well. One person wrote about Kate Gosselin and Bullyville: “She’s still a documented child abuser… makes no sense they would align themselves with her.” Kate was accused of child abuse by Robert Hoffman, a pal of Jon Gosselin , who wrote that infamous e-book documenting boorish behavior by Kate. Hoffman told Radar that he previously called the Department of Children’s Services on Kate and launched a complaint against the reality star. Kate, who is also battling Twitter impersonators as well as stalkers, can take solace in the fact that her fans continue to have her back, however. One Kate supporter begged everyone to leave her alone and said: “kate is scared and would like you to stop harassing her. how about you do that? walk away?” But that logic did not resonate with the haters. Wrote one, “Tell Kate to call the police & complain that she sent ppl to kill me but I’m refusing to die.” For the record, Kate did not send people to kill anyone. We think.
Have you seen G.I. Joe: Retaliation yet? It’s only been in theaters for 4 days, but if you haven’t you’re way behind the times. They’re already working on the next one! Yes, MGM was apparently pleased enough with the action sequel’s $132 million gross worldwide so far that they’re already moving forward with a third film. Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, and D.J. Cotrona star in Retaliation , whose release was postponed almost a year for conversion to 3D. There are no real details yet about G.I. Joe 3 , but will almost certainly be shot in 3D. This just in: During the time it took to write this article, G.I. Joe 4 through 12 have been announced! Just kidding, that’s a little April Fools humor for ya.
