According to CNN: Seventy seconds: That’s how long a North Carolina family says it took for things to go horribly wrong as they sought police help dealing with their mentally ill son. Keith Vidal, 18, died Sunday. According to CNN affiliate WECT, he was just shot 1 minute and 10 seconds after a third law enforcement officer showed up at his Brunswick County home. “There was no reason to shoot this kid,” the teen’s stepfather, Mark Wilsey, told WECT on Monday. “They killed my son in cold blood. We called for help, and they killed my son.” “I think that we can certainly understand why this family is upset right now,” the Wilmington Star-News newspaper quoted District Attorney Jon David as saying. “They just lost a child, and certainly my thoughts and prayers are with them. But what they want from this office today is justice, and I intend to give them exactly that.” The incident happened Sunday afternoon when the mother and stepfather of the Boiling Spring Lakes man called police. According to stepbrother Mark Ryan Wilsey, Vidal had schizophrenia and “was having an episode,” and his parents wanted police to subdue him so he could get help. “Everything was going good,” Mark Wilsey said, according to WWAY. “Then this fat cop from Southport walks in the room, walks around the corner, says, ‘We don’t have time for this. Tase that kid now. Let’s get him out of here.’ “ The stepfather said Vidal tried to run but was struck with two Taser charges and fell backward. He said the first two officers to respond got on top of Vidal. WECT attributed a slightly different accounting of events to Mark Wilsey. In that retelling, the stepfather said officers had pinned Vidal to the ground after he had been tased and one of the officers said, “We don’t have time for this” and shot his stepson. According to Raw Story: Last week, the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of Marlene Tapia against Blanca Zapater, the corrections officer that Tapia alleges subjected her to cruel and unusual punishment while violating her right to due process. According to the suit, on November 22, 2011, Zapater was arrested on a suspected parole violation. During a routine strip search, Zapater and another corrections officer “observed a plastic baggie protruding from Ms. Tapia’s vagina.” Instead of asking her to remove the package, Zapater allegedly “sprayed a chemical agent directly on Ms. Tapia’s genitals twice,” despite the fact that “Ms. Tapia was not using or attempting to use any force against the corrections officers.” The suit claims that this spraying “served no purpose other than to punish” and “would not cause the baggie to become dislodged.” The effects of the application of this chemical agent lasted for several weeks and included “burning, swollen genitals, painful urination, and pain and burning on Ms. Tapia’s face.” The ACLU is seeking punitive damages, to be determined by a jury, for these alleged violations of Tapia’s Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. According to NY Post reports: A Latvian lovely — famously photographed by The Post in her bloodstained, midriff-baring top and high heels just after she’d knifed her boyfriend — weepily testified in Manhattan court Tuesday that the fateful night’s events began with a fight over her purse. Pretty party girl Yekaterina Pusepa, 23, said she was drinking with boyfriend Alec Katsnelson at their usual downtown Manhattan watering hole, Ryan Maguire’s, on May 22, 2012, when she got up to go to the bathroom. “[I] asked him to look over my clutch, which had my phone, my keys and all my belongings,’’ Pusepa told jurors. “When I came out, I found my clutch was unattended in the middle of the bar. “I went to go look for him, and he was outside,’’ she said. “ At that point, I told him I wanted to go home because it frustrated me. I asked him to take care of something, and he was being irresponsible. “I said I wanted to take my things and go to my girlfriend’s house.’’ The troubled pair did go back to their Gold Street pad — but things took a horrible turn. Prosecutors and Katsnelson, 23, say Pusepa went berserk after her boyfriend received a phone message from another girl — stabbing him in the chest with a 9-inch steak knife, piercing his lungs and nicking his heart. “You didn’t try to take a slice out of the arm, did you?’’ asked Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Leila Kermani. “Instead, you put it directly in his chest,’’ Kermani stated, displaying for jurors on an overhead screen the Post front-page photo of Pusepa crying, still dressed in her club clothes with a bloody palm print and other blood spatter clearly visible on her white top, after the attack. On the stand, Pusepa further claimed that she knifed Katsnelson in a frenzy trying to protect herself from yet another vicious beating after months of violence. “He was kicking me and started punching me, then hit me upside the head, and that’s when I grabbed the knife,’’ she said. One time is on that BS again. Via NY Daily News reports : Lamis Chapman, 12, and Khalia Wilson, 14, were playing handball at 9:30 p.m. in a park near their home in the Lester Patterson Houses in Mott Haven. The girls said police approached them, and told them to leave because the park was closed. Police followed them out, the girls said, and one grabbed Khalia from behind in a chokehold, wrestling her to the ground. “They said they asked for ID. I didn’t hear them,” Khalia said. Lamis said she told the cop to get off her sister, and the officer’s female partner threw Lamis to the ground. As they lay on the ground, the girls, who are Muslim, said the cops ripped off their hijabs, a Muslim headscarf. “They didn’t say anything,” Khalia added. “I kept saying, ‘I’m 14! What are you doing? We’re not bad kids.’” A crowd quickly gathered, with many pleading with police to let the girls go, the sisters said. Police called for backup, and within moments, dozens of cops swarmed the scene. The girls’ brother, Shytike Wilson, 15, saw the cops straddling his sisters from his window and raced downstairs. “I asked them why my sisters were in handcuffs,” Shytike said. “They charged me, picked me up, and slammed me on the floor.” Jonathan Harris, an 18-year-old college student, said he heard the girls’ screams and ran to the park. He said he told the cops to leave the girls alone, then took out his cell phone to record the female officer atop Lamis. “Come here, you little motherf—er,” the cop said, according to Harris. “You like recording?” Harris said he sprinted towards a nearby building, but an officer caught him and tackled him, pushing his face in the dirt, and wrenching his arm behind his back. He said one officer punched him in his eye while he was down. “Where’s the phone?” the officer screamed, Harris said. “I’ll break your arm.” Harris said he was also pepper-sprayed during the melee. Police claim that cops were in the process of escorting the kids out of the park when their brother grabbed one of the girls away from the officers. Harris was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental function. Police claim two cops were hospitalized for scrapes, bruises and sprains. According to Mail Online A Pittsburgh mother has said that she feared for her life when she was attacked by a group of teenagers in the city’s North Side on Sunday as they beat her while calling her racial slurs. Ginger Slepski said that she suffered torn shoulder ligaments in the attack by the four black teenage girls which has left the electrician mother-of-two unable to work. ‘I thought it was so animalistic,’ said Slepski to WPXI. ‘So violent. I’m afraid for these girls to get out and walk the streets.’ Police in Pittsburgh said that Slepski was attacked after one of the teens threw a bottle at her car as she was driving through the North Side of Pittsburgh. ‘I was mad. I knew they were younger,’ said Slepski. ‘I thought they were in their early 20s. I got out and said, ‘What is your problem?’ The four teens were African-American and have now been arrested by Pittsburgh police and face charges of ethnic intimidation and juvenile counts of robbery and conspiracy. The names of the suspects will not be released by police, but all are between the ages of 14 and 16. Slepski said that she tried to escape the girls when she realized she was outnumbered but one of the girls grabbed her by the hair. ‘The one punched me in the head and I was on a set of concrete steps and my head hit the concrete so hard,’ said Slepski to WPXI. ‘Then they all got on top of me and all their hands were in my hair. They kept telling each other to, ‘Kick her in the head. Kick her head in the concrete.’ The mother-of-two said that the attack was witnessed by several people, but they were too scared to help. ‘Another woman was yelling at the girls, ‘I’m calling the police!’ And it’s like it only made it worse,’ Slepski said. Eventually a man jumped in to separate the girls and Slepski and allow her to escape. ‘I do feel like it was very racially motivated and I grew up in the neighborhood,’ said the electrician. The deranged Army vet allegedly admitted to his brother that he executed their mother before setting the house ablaze and going on his joy ride. The brother’s panicked phone call to police came too late, the home was already engulfed in flames and calls about a man shooting at people in the suburban Los Angeles town’s streets were pouring in. Ryan Carnan is said to have fired at police when they finally caught up with him, forcing them to shoot him dead, according to a police spokesperson. Man Obsessed With Selena Gomez Kills Family Members According to The NY Post A middle-aged man with a sick obsession for Selena Gomez has been arrested in the alleged murders of his mother, sister and two nieces. And his warped fanaticism toward the pop star could be related to the killings. Danny Green, 40, has been accused of killing his relatives – including a teenage girl and a seven month old nephew – that he lived with in Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoman. Police picked up Green at a nearby 7-11 after finding his bloody finger prints on their bodies. Green’s Facebook page was filled with bizarre postings about Gomez, who he claimed was “girlfriend.” The last posting, on Aug. 8, was a photo of the singer holding her up with the caption: “babie, is that how you felt when we climaxed together last night, afterwards, because i felt the same way ,but i was gasping for air,i love you lena ,your true love danny!!!!!!” A day earlier, Green shared a story about what celebrity has the best style. His opinion on the matter is pretty clear. Green wrote: “Most defenetly selena gomez,why first of all she’s my girlfriend ,secound of all she’s got elegant style ,third of all her style isn’t plain,forth of all ,it goes with the first thing ,i want her too be my eternal wife and the queen of my kingdom fovever,so too all my friends ,please help me vote for my love!!!!!your friend danny green!!!!!” Another states: “I want her be my eternal wife and the queen of my kingdom forever. Man Stabs Father Then Cuts Off His Hands According to Mail Online A Northern California man is accused of stabbing his father with a pair of scissors before using a power saw to slice off his own hands during a violent dispute. Jason Dunn, 27, pleaded not guilty on Monday in a Shasta County courtroom to an attempted murder charge in the attack on his father, Gregory. The suspect appeared in court with his hands reattached at the wrist but heavily bandaged. According to court records, deputies who went to a Redding area home June 17 found the elder Dunn lying in the driveway with multiple stab wounds and his son standing nearby with both of his hands severed at the wrist. Authorities said Jason Dunn acknowledged stabbing his father and cutting off his own hands following a heated argument. Dunn is being held on $575,000 bail and is due back in court August 15, according to The Record-Searchlight of Redding. Deputies responded to a home on Scheer Drive in Redding at around 3.30pm on June 17 after receiving a report of a disturbance. In the driveway, the officers discovered 59-year-old Gregory Dunn lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to his neck, throat and upper body, the station KRCR-TV reported. ‘After stabbing his father multiple times, Jason Dunn said he then used a power saw to sever both his hands,’ Detective Will Gardner wrote in his arrest report. Both the father and son were taken to Mercy Medical Center, where doctors were able to surgically reattach Jason’s hands. During a bedside interview with police, the 27-year-old reportedly admitted to stabbing his father. Neighbors on Scheer Drive told the paper that the Dunns had a turbulent relationship and a times could be heard yelling at each other.
