Out Of Pocket: Chicago Daycare Leaves Baby Inside After Closing Because Workers ‘Mistook Her For A Doll’

Really??? Daycare Leaves Baby Inside After Closing Parents of a 1-year-old are currently fighting to have a Chicago daycare shutdown for leaving their baby behind after closing. According to the couple, their child Journee was left in the dark at the daycare facility after workers closed the operation and aimlessly left their child to roam free. Why? Because they thought she was a toy doll. Fox 32 Chicago reports: A Chicago father went to go pickup his 1-year-old daughter at daycare on Monday. But instead, he found a locked building with all the lights shut off and his little girl crying alone inside. Now, dad Cornelius Jones and mom Quanesha Borum want ‘All Things Are Possible For Kids’ daycare shut down because police told them this is not the first time this has happened at the business. “I was ringing the bell and no one came to the door, so I called the number and no one answered the phone, so I called again like two more times and I was like, so I kicked the door like two times, then I heard my baby screaming in the background,” Jones said. When no one answered, he called 911 and his girlfriend, the baby’s mother. The fire department had to break in the front door, which workers were repairing Monday night. The baby, one-year-old Journee, was found crawling around in the back room of the daycare. “I was glad that she was OK, but I was like real mad, I was mad because how could you leave a baby in a daycare, how could a child go unaccounted for,” Jones said. And here’s what the daycare director had to say for herself…. The director, Tommie Butler, shielded her face from our camera but offered an explanation to Journee’s mother. “She said the lady that was in charge of Journee put her to sleep and once everybody got ready to leave, she told her that everybody was gone,” Borum said. “But my thing is, I come here and I sign her in and out, and so why wasn’t the list checked before everybody left?” The director told FOX 32 she is not sure who the last person at the daycare was, because she left about 15 minutes before the dad arrived. However, she told the baby’s mother that when workers checked the daycare, they thought her daughter was a doll. Police were on the scene as of 9PM and are continuing their investigation. If you needed further proof that’s a pretty effed-world we live in, look no further: According to TMZ the Love Ranch brothel where Lamar Odom nearly died from an overdose last week is experiencing a major surge in business thanks to all the free press. The weirdest part? Customers are shelling out big bucks to see the room where Odom was found unconscious and covered in blood. Guests who already staying and spending money at the Ranch can drop an extra $500 for a glance at the VIP suite where Odom nearly lost his life. Even weirder, many Love Ranch are paying top dollar to sleep in the room and there’s a one-month waiting to list to stay in “the Lamar suite. Prior to Odom’s near death experience, the Ranch attracted about 20 men today. Owner Dennis Hof says that in the past week that number has more than tripled. Many have been critical about the way Hof seems to milking the incident for free publicity. Hof bragged about telling the Kardashians to “go to hell” during an appearance on Nancy Grace’s talk show. In response, reps for Khloe politely asked Hof to shut the hell up , but it looks like the brothel owner and former star of the HBO reality series Cat House, plans to go right on cashing in on this tragedy. How’s this for a twist: Some “shady” man claiming to be Lamar Odom‘s manager reportedly turned up at the Love Ranch brothel hours after the former NBA star was found. With Odom unconscious and on the brink of death, the man demanded to take his belongings, according to the business’ owner himself, Dennis Hof . The unidentified man took the ailing athlete’s phone among other personal items, Hof says, and made himself scarce. Oh, and it gets even weirder: A few hours after that took place, another man, identifying himself as Odom’s bodyguard, arrived … and had no earthly idea who the first visitor was. “I don’t know if I got conned,” Hof said afterward. “When this all shakes out, this was a shady motherf–ker . I didn’t recognize him. Something was up.” No word if Mike from Breaking Bad has an alibi last Tuesday. Seriously, who was this “cleaner” and what does he know? If Hof – who Khloe Kardashian wants to shut the eff up – doesn’t even know … who does?! Speaking of Khloe, she remains by Odom’s side as the 35-year-old continues to make progress following his nearly fatal overdose last week. Despite reports that Lamar Odom died or was brain dead, has been brought out of a medically induced coma, and is now breathing on his own. He has even smiled and kissed Khloe and Kim. Odom faces a long road to recovery, but there is reason for hope … and we also hope he can tell us who this Mike-like “fixer” might be. Because WTF. Leah Messer: Bad Parenting Excuse Hall of Fame Moments!

The embattled Leah Messer of MTV's Teen Mom 2 has been through the wringer of late, accused of every bad parenting move under the sun. All of which she has made excuses for. If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , you've seen one troublesome incident after another involving Leah and her two concerned former spouses. The twice divorced mother of three makes no apologies for any of the strange behavior and controversial parenting moves. She's exhibited. Only these (dubious) explanations.   1. Tanning Salon Mumbling Messer shocked fans by looking like she was on the verge of passing out and mumbling incoherently while working at a tanning salon on Teen Mom 2. She did admit she was on anxiety medication, but said the side effects made her stop right away. This was over a year ago now … 2. Illegal Business Dealings … Er, Setbacks Under investigation by the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists for running an illegal salon, Leah and her partners Leslee Pannell and Crystal Spinks shuttered their operation, defiantly stating: “We will protect our reputation and ourselves. This is a future career we believe in. Success doesn’t come without set backs and haters. We aren’t afraid of either.” They said “there is zero truth” to reports about an investigation … but that the salon is indeed “on hold.” 3. Stealing From Ali?! After reports surfaced claiming that Messer stole $50,000 from her daughter Ali’s trust fund (allegedly to fund her addictions), she sought to clear her name. “My girls still have they’re [sic] money,” Leah tweeted. “It’s just not at the bank your [sic] looking at.” Transferring the funds to a different bank without telling anyone is entirely plausible, yet she did not provide any evidence that she had done so, or explain why she would have to. 4. TMI For Toddlers Leah Messer was criticized for her daughters’ racy dance attire in this photo. She defended the move, saying trolls online are out to get her. 5. Kiss Off, Haters! Leah shot down divorce rumors involving herself and her tumultuous marriage to Jeremy Calvert last year … sealing her Twitter kiss-off to the haters with this pic. Shortly thereafter, they actually did get divorced. 6. I Know There’s a Drug Problem. Corey told Leah asked Leah straight up if she’s on drugs in the Season 6 premiere. “I swear to God there’s not,” she said, when confronted on her alleged problem.
