Gun Range Owner Bans Muslims And Sees Steep Increase In Business We posted a story about this woman and her gun range last October and now she’s gettin’ gwap hand-over-fist! Via Breitbart In the five months since Hot Springs, Arkansas, gun range owner Jan Morgan banned Muslims from her facilities, she has seen business quadruple. She has also faced threats and the prospect of lawsuits, which so far, have not materialized. Morgan owns Gun Cave Indoor Firing Range. According to Fox News, Morgan decided to ban Muslims after “two customers she deemed suspicious” showed up in September. Since that time, she has excluded those “she believes to be Muslim based upon their names.” Morgan sees it as a safety issue. She said, “We are dealing in lethal firearms. I am not going to let a Nazi shoot in here, or a Ku Klux Klan member in here, either.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has written Attorney General Eric Holder asking him to intervene. In the letter, CAIR said, “Given the recent spike in anti-Muslim rhetoric, including Islamophobic statements by government officials, community leaders and media outlets, death threats, and other bias incidents targeting Muslims, I urge you to investigate this matter soon.” CAIR argued that banning Muslims from the shooting range “is a violation of federal laws prohibiting racial and religious discrimination.” The ACLU is also asked the DOJ to do something about Morgan’s policies, and they want to talk to any Muslim who gets turned away from Morgan’s shooting range. But Morgan is standing her ground. She compared “offering target practice to potential terrorists to flight schools offering lessons to the 9/11 terrorists.” A caption on an image of Morgan with a gun says, “I am the infidel your imam warned you about.” Only in ‘Merikkka. Yesterday, TMZ reported that a reality show about Bruce Jenner’s sex change has already begun filming. Rumors of Bruce’s transition have been circulating for years, but the former Olympian has generally avoided addressing them publicly. If the E! network series comes to pass, it would be the first time that Bruce has admitted that he’s experimenting with his gender identity. Initial reports indicated that his kids and step-children have been nothing but supportive, but now, In Touch is claiming that family members’ reactions have run the gamut from denial to outrage: “Kylie has told a friend, ‘My father isn’t transgender – he’s just having fun right now,'” says one source. “Kanye won’t even talk about it,” another insider claims. “He thinks it’s just weird.” Kim Kardashian reportedly sides with her husband, telling friends that Bruce’s coming out “spoils her and Kanye’s image.” It’s a far cry from the Kim who recently claimed to fully support Bruce on his “journey.” We’ve already heard that Bruce’s reality show will feature a scene in which Kris Jenner “loses it,” and now it seems that she wasn’t the only one to have a hard time with the news. Iggy Azalea Speaks On Her Role In Hip Hop In GQ Magazine Iggy Azalea sat for an interview with GQ just ahead of her big night at the Grammys, and seemed to be really feeling herself. The rapper told the mag that Hip Hop, a genre which Q-tip tried to explain to her was created for and by urban youth, didn’t represent people like her very much — tall, white, blonde, model-built Australian women — so her voice is necessary. Via GQ : People say some harsh things about you. What helps you bear up under that? Uh, awards season helps. Anytime where people get to choose who they want to have a voice and they choose me, I just think that makes it worth it. And that gives me the patience to just bite my tongue. When people choose me as the person they think should be speaking for them, I think, Well, I don’t really care what someone in the industry or another artist has to say about it. Your opinion is biased anyway, because you want people to listen to your voice. So having actual people who choose me, it makes me think, I have a place, and I don’t care what other people have to say about it. I was a fan of rap music growing up, and I didn’t feel like there were enough characters that represented me and my situation. So I think it’s needed. Um…when exactly does Iggy bite her tongue on this topic?? But wait, there’s more. The Aussie starlet also says she’s brought about a change in what’s accepted as “real Hip Hop:” Fast-forward to the end of your career. What do you want your legacy to be? You never know how long you’ll be in people’s good graces, especially in this business. So I hope it’s long—but I could be here for three or four years and then be out, like most artists. So it depends. I might be here for a long time. At the very worst, if I have a short-lived career, at least I could say I sparked a change—that I inspired some leniency in what people accept in hip-hop. And if I have a very long career and can be gyrating in a leotard at 35, that would be great. Hmmmmm….what do you think BOSSIP fam?
