Sadie Robertson: Dancing With the Stars Routines "Surprising Us All," Brother John Luke Says

Sadie Robertson’s Dancing With the Stars costumes and performances have come as a surprise to the Duck Dynasty star’s famous family as much as fans. We’ve heard Willie Robertson approves her outfits to ensure that his 17-year-old daughter covers up and wear things that are in keeping with her conservative values. Sadie’s 19-year-old brother, John Luke Robertson, says this rumor is true. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas – Dancing With the Stars Paso Doble John Luke, the author of the Be Your Own Duck Commander book series, says Sadie has “been doing really well” in the dancing competition thus far. “We’re so proud of her,” he said of the Duck Dynasty family. Sadie’s DWTS performances have, as John Luke put it, “surprised us all” from the start, but he’s bullish on her winning it all this fall and for good reason. She’s yet to be in jeopardy on a Dancing With the Stars results show, and is consistently in the top tier. With eight stars left on the show, who knows. John Luke says sticking with family is just what they do. “Even when my grandpa’s said things that were pretty controversial, we’ve all just stuck with him,” he recalls of last winter’s Phil Robertson PR nightmare. Sadie Robertson Photos: Quack On! 1. Sadie Robertson, John Luke Robertson Sadie Robertson with brother John Luke Robertson of Duck Dynasty. They’re Willie and Korie’s kids. “That’s what we’ve said: I’ll stick with the family, we’ll stick with the business [and] we’ll stick with God,” adds the newly-engaged John Luke, and he means it. That’s been true of Sadie Robertson and Blake Coward , as well. The youngsters are saving themselves for marriage, even though they admit it’s hard. So how have the Louisiana natives stayed true to their values, and each other, despite being thrust into the national spotlight for the past three years? “Every opportunity that came up, or every temptation that came up that was tempting us to compromise, we said, ‘Well, If we have to do that, then we’re not doing the show.” So they “stuck together, and that’s worked out,” John Luke says. Duck Dynasty Season 7 premieres November 19 on A&E. Duck Dynasty Stars Without Beards! 1. Jase Robertson: No Beard! Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty with no beard. That was a long time ago. BOSSIP Exclusive: Zane Talks Her Freaky-Deeky Film ‘ADDICTED’, Shonda Rhimes And Women Taking Control Of Their Sexuality

I really love the challenge of creating simulated sex scenes and making them look real… Zane Dishes On “ADDICTED” People who can’t get enough of Zane’s tantalizing tomes on erotica will be pleased to know that her film “ADDICTED” is officially in theaters. The provocative thriller about desire and the dangers of indiscretion stars Sharon Leal and Boris Kodjoe who are steaming up movie screens with their story. In it, we see Leal as Zoe Lenard, a successful businesswoman who puts at risk her career and family due to her insatiable sexual appetite. A film for adults for sure, ADDICTED binds the seductive love scenes to real life situations that keep you engrossed as you wait to see if Zoe can turn from her pleasure seeking ways and work on piecing her  picture perfect life back together. Zane recently caught up with BOSSIP during a round table discussion and told us about us her immense imagination, her joy for creating simulated sex scenes and the business of dishing out pleasure to the previously repressed in books and cinema. How does a [seemingly] reserved woman like yourself come up with such a dynamic script? I’m not always reserved. I think that I’m a normal woman who is professional but also very passionate. I’m passionate about everything I do in life. Do any of your real life experiences trickle into this film? All the time. (Laughs) I never say which ones. A lot of my friends are tickled because they see the [sexual] stuff that they’ve done in my stuff. It’s a lot of me and a lot of my best friends. How are your Cinemax shows similar and dissimilar to this movie? Doing the Cinemax shows was very interesting, I wanted to do something different and something that changed the landscape over there and it did. We cut down the amount of sex that was in a late night show by half and did something that had never been done. I really love the challenge of creating simulated sex scenes and making them look real. People swear up and down that people are having sex and they’re not. I know for a fact that they were not but I’m very good at making it look real and I was very specific with the scenes. Even in the movie you see there’s a difference between the way a man makes love to someone he’s in love with and someone he’s just screwing. And in the movie it’s the reverse, you look at the way Sharon was with Boris, it was one way; and then with William it was another way and then with Tyson it was like; okay! She said I’ve never done anything like this before and she dropped them panties. Women do have those different ways that they like to have sex. Do you think it’s liberating to show women taking control of their sexuality?  Absolutely. Sexuality is usually the area in a woman’s life where they feel the least comfortable but of they can feel comfrtable in that area it usually trickles down to other areas of their life. Let’s face it, when women are sexually satisfied, they have a different appearance about them. I was joking with Boris and William [Levy] about how I can always tell when my friends are not having sex; their skin is dry, their hair is brittle, they’re like snap dragons but when they have a good sex life their skin is glowing, their hair is beautiful and they’re coming over to my house baking red velvet cupcakes. You know what I’m talking about. It really is a need. Talk to me about your writing. There are tons of romance and erotica writers, but what about your work keeps fans coming back for more?  I think it’s my vivid imagination., I think I write outside the box. I have a very unique writing style, I keep it very real, I’m very detailed. I think most of it comes from the fact that I dig deep into creating my characters so people become engrossed in them. I remember when I first wrote “ADDICTED” and put it online, there were people who were actually having arguments about Zoe and Jason like they were real people. That’s when I knew I had something. What is it like being a black woman in Hollywood and writing so openly about sex? On one hand you have support from feminists and on the other you have women who are conservative and probably take issue with it… They do, they can take issue all day long. I’m just doing me. I’ve never really dealt with criticism to be honest, I know I got here ’cause my parents had sex, I don’t know about y’all. My father’s a minister but I know for a fact that my parents had sex, it’s a very natural part of life. I was really shocked when I first swtarted doing this and there was all this backlash. That’s why I continued to do it because on one hand there were people saying all this stuff but then there were women emailing me from around the world like,  ‘thank you for letting me know that I’m normal. There were women in their 40s telling me I never had an orgasm until I started reading your books and started feeling like I could actually demand sex the way that I wanted to have sex. That’s why one of my books is titled “Missionary No More.” I feel like women if we’re going to have sex why shouldn’t we enjoy it as much as the men? Why should we just be a vessel for the man’s pleasure?  We should be just as satisfied from the process as the men. Shonda Rhimes writes about women who take control in the boardroom and the bedroom, what’s your take on her and what she’s doing for television? I think it’s great, I think it’s absolutely great. I think that the more doors that are opened the better and the more people will embrace giving people opportunities.   Kat Graham  (who stars in the film) and Zane recently made a stop in Atlanta to promote the movie and rubbed elbows with the likes of Claudia Jordan, Gary With The Tea and Ryan Cameron. Will you be watching this new movie???? Check out more photos from the Atlanta “ADDICTED” screening after the flip. Paras Griffin

Hip Hop Cops: NYPD “Rap Squad” Beefs Up Celeb Surveillance In Wake Of Suge Knight Shooting

What a shock…the police have a task force JUST to monitor rich Black men. SMH. NYPD “Hip Hop” Task Force Beefs Up Surveillance Via Page Six : The NYPD’s “Hip-Hop Squad” has a number of rappers and stars — including Drake, Chris Brown and French Montana — on a special watch list and is stepping up surveillance on their New York parties in the wake of the Suge Knight shooting in LA, we’re told. The shadowy specialist unit, known locally as the “Hip-Hop Police,” keeps a list of rappers and hip-hop stars whose shows and night club appearances are closely monitored. It also includes Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne. A source told us: “All New York club owners are required to inform the Hip-Hop Police in advance if anyone on the watch list is coming in. They want to be there to monitor the crowd and in case any trouble starts.” The insider added, “They don’t want any situations like the Suge Knight shooting. If something does go down, they want to already be on the scene.” Another source tells us the hip-hop cops are well-known in the urban music industry, and “if there is a show going on, they are there. Their job is to investigate crimes and curtail violence in the hip-hop industry. So when they find out there is a beef between rappers, they monitor it. They are plainclothes cops, they go to clubs and shows. They were at J.Lo’s show in The Bronx because French Montana and Fat Joe were coming.” The source added that the hip-hop cops are welcomed by most in the business: “Let’s say there is a show… and they know there’s a beef going on that could escalate to a fight or shooting. The police may say they need to change set times and they don’t want two artists like French Montana and Jim Jones to perform too close together. Then they’ll go and watch. They’ll go backstage.” Our spy elaborated, “It’s better to have them on hand. They’re not there to bother any of these artists, but make sure things run like they’re supposed to run. The other part of it is, there’s a lot of really street-leaning gangster guys on the fringes of the industry… The police task force keeps tabs on who is around certain rappers and what movements they are going through.” We can see how they can try to rationalize this as being “for the greater good,” but what a slipery slope. What do you think? Is this necessary or just another excuse to keep closer tabs (and thus, make more arrests) on Black men?

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Reunion Recap: Lil Scrappy, BIG Drama

Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta may be over, but rest assured, if you watch Love & Hip Hop Atlanta online hoping for drama, you are still in luck. Very, very much in luck. Holy smoke, this is getting full-on ridiculous. On Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 Episode 18, otherwise known as part one of the reunion where the $h!t hits the fan HARD, the ladies came together. We use the term loosely. Ladies, that is. They act like anything but. Part one of the three-part train wreck teased a bit of the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reunion fight that broke out in New York City and was widely reported. As tension rose between Joseline and Stevie J, and Joseline and Althea, and Benzino and Stevie J, Joseline got up to after Benzino and Althea. It was a recipe for disaster, and what follows is an all-out melee between that foursome, as well as Mimi and Tammy and a bunch of security guards. Stay tuned next week for when more of this chaos airs. On this night, the primary focus was Lil Scrappy and his three women, and how can it not be? That guy’s rod has probed so many holes, it deserves its own show. At the reunion, Scrappy sits next to Bambi, who is apparently his main chick now, and she beefs with Erica Pinkett, his “aspiring side chick” friend. He’s never hooked up with her, or so he claims, but Scrappy was texting her hardcore and even shared some info with her about Bambi’s miscarriage. Those two nearly came to blows over this. And then there’s his ex, Erica Dixon, the mother of his child. They may or may not have boned recently. We say may or may not ’cause Erica has a hotel receipt to prove it, but Scrappy says he “doesn’t remember” this … not shady at all there, Scrap. After taking a lie-detector test, we learn that the aspiring rapper was “deceptive” on the question of whether performed oral sex acts on Erica. Fantastic. Scrappy referred, unflatteringly, to his time with Erica’s “drunken shenanigans,” to which Erica replied, “You couldn’t get it and now you angry, Scrappy.” And that’s that for the time being. Next we look back on Kirk Frost and Rasheeda, who remain together and are doing well despite the past infidelity. Karlie Redd and Yung Joc – who she considers an upgrade from Benzino, her boyfriend from season one – are also featured. She is not a fan these days. When she found out Joc was banging her business partner Khadiyah, those two fought, she dumped Joc, then she raged against Joc and broke his finger. Then they had sex. Because obviously. Bossip Exclusive: Ericka Pittman Of Bravo’s “The Singles Project” Talks Love And Dating In NYC

Will you be helping Ericka find a man? The Singles Project’s Ericka Pittman On Dating Bravo is premiering the first ever real-time dating docu-series, The Singles Project, tomorrow night at 10PM. The Singles Project follows 6 Manhattan singles as they date around in NYC, however the show takes a new approach, allowing viewers to chime in and help the singles pick dates, drop pickup lines, and make suggestions as to how to flirt, what to say, etc. We caught up with Ericka Pittman — one of Diddy’s right hand women — and chatted with her about the highs and lows of dating in the city. Judging by the clip below, Ericka obviously needs a little help from viewers in the flirting department: As an attractive, educated, professional woman (Ericka is the Vice President of Business Development at Combs Wine and Spirits) you would think she’d have little trouble snagging a man. However as the self-proclaimed “Brooklyn Barbie” tells it, dating in New York is a crazy process and she’s willing to take all the helps she can get — even from strangers. BOSSIP: Why would you sign up to let strangers match you with dates? Why not? I’m just at a place in my life where I’m taking amazing calculated risks and doing outrageous things to have outrageous results, and I’m encouraging young women to do the same. If I’m preaching the gospel, I’ve got to live it! It’s an opportunity, it’s a fun summer. Why not? BOSSIP: Is finding a suitable man really that hard? I think dating is tough, and as you grow and mature, your selection process gets a little bit more filtered, and that makes it difficult to find someone that you’re compatible with. So that paired with how busy New York is — everyone with their own goals and agendas — I think it can be a challenge, and you need some assistance. A lot of us seek our friends, some people seek online dating, and The Singles Project is a revolutionary way to date in New York. BOSSIP: What kind of man are you into? I like man with a really strong moral compass. I want someone that is family oriented, that is ready to settle down. And then there’s the superficial stuff — he should just be tall, dark, and handsome. But I really do love someone with a lot of wit and a really handsome smile, and someone that can make me laugh. BOSSIP: Reality TV can get a little crazy…where do you think you fit into all this? I am actually forwarding a movement called “LifE: With a Capital E.” It’s an initiative to help young women identify the next phases in life and I want to show America that women — particularly women of color — should be displayed in a way that’s presentable. That’s my mission. I want to take The Singles Project and use it as an example to beacon and cheer women that are ladies. Nice! Good to see someone will be on a reality show without cursing people out, sloring it up, and throwing glasses and bottles across the dinner table. Will you be watching? You can help Ericka find her man starting tomorrow, Tuesday, August 12 at 10pm ET/PT. Tweet Ericka at @ErickaMPittman and let her know who to date and who to dump!
