Teyana Taylor Comments On Fist Fight With Movie Director

Go here to see the original:

As previously reported from several media sources, Teyana Taylor got into a fist fight with movie director Jean-Claude La Marre on the set of Gang of Roses 2. She says it was self defense, that the Gang Of Roses director should never put his hands on a female. Check out the statement Teyana Taylor told Global Grind about the incident below. “Honestly at this point you know how when you’re just tired of all the drama, I’m just so over it and what that story (TMZ) sounds like, honestly it sounds like he was trying to promote his movie, that’s all that is. At the end of the day you don’t put your hands on any female, it was very unprofessional. That whole environment was very unprofessional, very inappropriate. It was just things that my eyes shouldn’t have seen. For him to put his hands on me was really hurtful. I don’t have a dad, I never had a dad and I ain’t about to have one today. I have never had a man raise his hand at me. It’s very emotional for me, it’s a very sensitive subject and at the end of the day, right is right and wrong is wrong. You never put your hands on a female. Period. When I came on set there was no food, there was no hair stylist, no make-up and the trailer was the size of my tub. I had to get my agent and my mom, who is my manager, involved and then we started getting hair and make up, but that only lasted for one day. He was just mad because I came in there and he felt that I was about my business and he didn’t like that and it felt like he already had a grudge against me. I was really supposed to only film for five days. The day me and him got into that altercation, that was day seven. Out of the kindness of my heart I came to do extra scenes for him so he would have an ending to his movie. On that day, my face was very, very swollen because of a problem with my tooth. That tooth thing was no joke. I could’ve died right there on set and he wouldn’t have even cared. That’s the point because he was more worried about himself. It was about him wanting to get his movie done so it was like, forget her tooth, her face is swollen but I want her to film more parts and I really don’t care if her face is swollen. He didn’t care and it took him to ignore my illness more than three times for me to finally raise my voice. I walked up to him and I was like — I walked to him crying, like my tooth is really hurting, my face is getting worse, I really have to go and he was like “Yeah okay … whatever…” He turned around and kept going about his business. So I raised my tone and I said look, I can’t wait a minute, I can’t wait two minutes, I can’t wait a second, I really, really need to go. He turned around and he said ‘Don’t f*cking scream at me b*tch’ and smacked his hand across my face and from there I defended myself.” Follow Me On Twitter @ itsJazzyFBaby Recent Posts: Bow Wow & Teyana Taylor On The Set Of Madea’s Big Happy Family [EXCLUSIVE CLIP] Teyana Taylor Poses For Nouss Somme Jewelry Revealing Teyana Taylor Photos Leak… Again & Again

Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘A New Band’ On I’m With You

First album in five years, out Monday (August 29), is ‘us, with a whole new thing,’ Anthony Kiedis tells MTV News. By James Montgomery Red Hot Chili Peppers Photo: MTV News Anthony Kiedis makes no bones about the fact that the Red Hot Chili Peppers are “a new band,” despite all evidence to the contrary. After all, not many “new” bands have sold more than 65 million albums worldwide, won a grip of Grammy awards, survived a series of rather-seismic lineup shifts or made some of the most-iconic music videos of all time. And even fewer have actually been a band since 1983. And yet, here is Kiedis, talking about the Chili Peppers’ 10th studio album, I’m With You, in stores Monday (August 29), and how its recording signifies not only a new era — it’s the first with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced longtime member John Frusciante in 2009 — but a new band, too. As Kieids explained to MTV News, it has “a lot to do with” Klinghoffer. “He’s definitely a big part of why it’s different: different person, different chemistry, different experience, different era … we’re a new band, and thank goodness. “It seemed to be, whether we liked it or not, time for change to take place. So, an opportunity was created, one that instantly seemed to be a wonderful occasion. It’s so exciting when you get thrown a curveball by the universe, and you turn that curveball into a home run. And I feel like that’s what happened … Curveballs used to break my heart and freak me out, but now, I know from experience that they usually lead to something cool.” And on I’m With You, not only do the Peppers begin a new chapter, but they push their signature sound further than they’ve ever pushed before. Sure, Flea’s propulsive bass lines still form the backbone, but the new songs are amplified and expounded upon by his time spent studying music theory at USC. In a new twist, most of the tunes began as piano compositions and slowly blossomed in the recording studio, with Klinghoffer adding slow-diving guitar flourishes (and the occasional keyboard, too). There are percussive tones added by Brazilian musicians and organ peals from former Beastie Boys associates. As Kiedis put it, “It’s more ethereally complex and layered and kind of spooky and moody and dreamy, yet still profound. … The spirit of the Red Hot Chili Peppers remains and changes and moves on. It’s us, with a whole new thing.” Of course, that “new thing” couldn’t have been created without putting the old thing to bed — which means that, for the first time in their careers, the Chili Peppers decided to take a break from the business of being a band: A break that, to hear Kiedis tell it, was a long time coming. “We had a little coffee break there … it was a hell of a big cup,” he said, laughing. “It was kind of an unspoken, obvious time for [it]. By the end of the Stadium Arcadium tour, which was a year and a half, everybody was like a pile of broken dolls, and no one could really conceive of not taking a break. “So when somebody uttered ‘Two-year break,’ everyone just hip-hip hoorayed, and without really knowing what that would mean, it was a good idea,” he continued. “It was just an innate, gut-instinct good idea. And everybody went and did things that made a lot of sense.” And though the self-imposed hiatus lasted two years (and included Frusciante’s departure,) there was never a moment where Kiedis ever thought about doing anything but the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And even if fans began to worry about the band’s future — Arcadium was released in 2006, making this the longest period between albums in RHCP history — he never did — partially because he never lost the passion, but mostly because he knew rebirths take a long time. “I have never felt anywhere close to being done. I was pretty sure after the last record that the best was yet to come, but I always kind of feel like that, like if you want it, it’s there,” he said. “I like really old people that still make out intensely with their wives or girlfriends … why would you ever stop?” Related Videos MTV First: Red Hot Chili Peppers Related Artists Red Hot Chili Peppers

Pitbull Brings Miami’s Most Beautiful To The VMAs

Miami MC says the dancers in his performance on Sunday night will ‘create Pandora’s box.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Pitbull rehearses for his 2011 VMA performance Photo: John Shearer/ WireImage Pitbull gets pretty demanding on his hit “Give Me Everything,” , but for his 2011 VMA performance, Mr. 305 looks to turn the tables and offer fans a taste of Miami. “I did get the most beautiful women from Miami to come over and create Pandora’s box,” Pit told MTV News. “So if you’re bringing your wife, your girlfriend, boyfriend to the show, you might lose ’em.” MTV News was present at Mr. Worldwide’s VMA rehearsal on Thursday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and the rapper comes through as promised. Pit and collaborators Ne-Yo and Nayer ran through their number, flanked by approximately 60 curvaceous female dancers. “We have some backup dancers: one or two or 60,” Ne-Yo teased . “And two of the best-dressed men in the business. What more can you ask for?” Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit hasn’t dampened Pit’s party plans. The troubled actresses filed suit against the Cuban pop sensation, claiming that his lyrics on “Give Me Everything” were defamatory. But during the run-through, Mr. 305 didn’t bite his tongue as he freely rapped the line in question without censoring himself. “I got it locked like Lindsay Lohan,” Pit spit. On Thursday, Pit addressed the suit in a video on his Planet Pit website, inviting La Lohan to join him at the VMAs . “We’ll be performing [‘Give Me Everything”] at the VMAs and, as a matter of fact, I’d like to send out an invitation to Lindsay Lohan,” Pitbull said. “Hopefully she can come with me to the VMAs, and we can figure this out.” According to TMZ , however, the actress has declined. Still, Pit’s offer stands. “I said it, I meant it, and if she takes it, great. If she doesn’t, cool. But she will have her tickets at will call,” he told MTV News. In the meantime, the show goes on, and if the bilingual hit-maker’s practice run is any indication, Pit plans to leave everything he’s got on the stage, proving that it’s better to give than receive. Que rico! The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. How Your Magazine-Movie Sausage is Made

Magazine editors are increasingly looking to place their stories at studios — for what it’s worth: “‘Hollywood is essentially in the business of not making movies,’ said Henry Finder, editorial director of The New Yorker . ‘They only make a movie when they run out of reasons not to make it. [… B]ut if I’m trying to get talent attached it might be easier for me to say, “Hey look, Brad Pitt, there’s this really cool story that was in Vanity Fair or Rolling Stone ” — it’s going to be based on that.'” Great! It beats Ouija . [ WWD via The Awl ]

Halle Berry’s Sweet Cougar Cleavage

I still can’t believe that Halle Berry is forty-five years old, it just doesn’t make any sense to me, she’s a freak of nature. Not that I’m complaining, the woman is hot and she’s got some of the best breasts in the business no matter how old they are. Is she considered a cougar now? Because she doesn’t really look like the cougars I’m used to seeing, she’s not orange or wearing a lifeguard tank top that says something like “Party Saver” or chain smoking flavored cigarillos and I highly doubt her breath smells like day old wine. I like it.

Some Sunday Swirl: Donald Faison And Girlfriend CaCee Cobb Engaged

Love is in the air this season: CaCee Cobb and Scrubs star Donald Faison shared their good news on Twitter this weekend. Faison, 37, coyly posted a lyric from Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” on Friday. “If you like it, then you better put a ring on it,” he tweeted. An hour later, Cobb retweeted her beau, adding: “If she likes it, then she better say YES! Simpson, who’s engaged to Eric Johnson, was thrilled for her pal and former personal assistant. “Congratulations, Cacee!” she tweeted Saturday, linking to a photo of Cobb showing off her bling. “I love you and your man!” Not to be outdone, Faison’s good friend and former Scrubs costar Zach Braff chimed in with his own well wishes. “Congratulations to Donald and CaCee on their engagement,” he tweeted. “Just wish I was there to run around you both with sparklers.” Faison has three children with ex-wife Lisa Askey, and one son from a previous relationship. Dayum, we didn’t realize dude had 4 kids though, SMH. Congrats to them. Source

And ANOTHER Lawsuit: Now Someone Is Claiming Weezy F. Baby (The F Stands For ‘Fraud’) Stole “How To Love”

You really cannot be serious… According to TMZ , Lil Wayne has been named in yet another lawsuit . Lil Wayne rapped on stolen property — at least according to another MC, who insists he’s the rightful owner of the beat behind Weezy’s “How to Love” … and now, he’s out for some legal vengeance. Rapper Rich Rick (right) filed the lawsuit earlier this week in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming he purchased several master recordings between 2006 and 2009 — including the beat that now appears on “How to Love” — from a group of rap producers called Drummer Boyz. Rick claims the Drummer Boyz double-crossed him in November 2010 — pitching the SAME beat to Lil Wayne … and Weezy acquired it in exchange for a 35% royalty agreement, eventually using the beat on “How to Love.” The song’s a hit — and needless to say, Rick’s royally pissed … insisting the Drummer Boyz screwed him over. Rick’s suing Weezy, the Drummer Boyz, and others for everything from breach of contract to fraud — demanding everything DB are entitled to under their agreement with Wayne … plus 10% interest. Okay, maybe this guy just threw Wayne’s name in the mix for publicity… But still: C’MON SON! Get your business together.
