Prince William and Kate Middleton’s excursion to the U.S. isn’t their only stop in North America. They’ll be visiting our neighbors to the north too, eh! After spending June 30-July 2 in Ottawa, Ontario, Gatineau, and Montreal, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will head to Quebec City on July 3. The 29-year-old newlyweds (yesterday was William’s birthday ) will work with Maison Dauphin, an organization that works with homeless youths. The Quebec group’s mission ties in closely with William’s Patronage of Centrepoint, a homelessness charity, back home in the United Kingdom. Later that day, the royally cute British couple will be attending a community event at Fort-de-Levis to mark some of the region’s important milestones. A rep from the Department of Canadian Heritage says the nation hopes William and Kate will “regard Canada as a second home – a term of endearment often used by The Queen to describe her special affection for and pride in this country.” Following that, America beckons. Excitedly, at that. After stops in Prince Edward Island, Alberta and the Northwest Territories, they arrive in California July 8. DEA confirms to MTV News that Czar Entertainment honcho was apprehended and arraigned on drug charges in New York City. By Rob Markman Jimmy Henchman Photo: Soul Brother/FilmMagic The manhunt for hip-hop music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond ended Tuesday afternoon (June 21), the DEA confirmed to MTV News. Henchman, who ran the Czar Entertainment management company overseeing the careers of artists like the Game, was arrested in New York City and charged with heading a cocaine trafficking ring. Rosemond has been on the lam since warrants were issued for his arrest on May 17. On Tuesday afternoon, the onetime music manager noticed federal agents as he walked out of the W Hotel in Union Square, according to the New York Post. Henchman tried to evade US Marshals and DEA agents by taking off on foot, but was apprehended and arrested on 21st Street and Park Avenue South. Rosemond was then arraigned in Brooklyn on conspiracy to distribute in excess of five kilograms of cocaine; he is being held without bail, a DEA representative told MTV News. According to Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffery Lichtman, Henchman and his defense team are ready. “These charges obviously aren’t surprising, we’ve been anticipating them for years now,” Lichtman told MTV News on Tuesday. “But they’re built on the backs of people that have lied and cheated, have been threatened, have been bribed by the government,” he added. “Anything to get Jimmy Rosemond, but all of this is going to be exposed. We’ve been waiting a long time for our day in court — we finally have it.” Through the DEA, MTV News has obtained a copy of the complaint and affidavit stemming from Rosemond’s arrest warrant. In it, there are details of Henchman’s alleged drug ring, which is said to have shipped cocaine under accounts belonging to Czar Entertainment from California to New York in “road cases” typically used to transport musical equipment. Vacuum-sealed bags and mustard were also used to conceal the smell from drug-sniffing dogs. Two “high-ranking members” of Rosemond’s alleged organization (referred to in the complaint as “CW-1” and “CW-2”) helped the DEA in their investigation. The document does confirm that both men agreed to cooperate with the government after their respective arrests in the “hope of receiving a reduced sentence.” It is also noted in the complaint that while on the run, Henchman avoided the use of cell phones and suggested to one of the members of his organization that he should go into hiding. “N—-r stay low, move like you on the run right now ’cause that is what I’m doing n—-r, trying to get some ID, some new paperwork, all that sh– right now,” Rosemond said during a telephone conversation recorded by agents. Dexter Isaac, who is believed to be cooperating with the government in its case against Henchman, told AllHipHop.com that he was paid $2,500 by Rosemond to rob Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios in a November 1994 incident that resulted in the near-fatal shooting of the rapper, two years before his death in 1996. Lichtman told the New York Daily News that Isaac’s claim was a “flat-out lie.” “When you got witnesses like that against you, it can make anybody paranoid and believe that they won’t be getting a fair trial,” Lichtman said about his client. “When the case starts, we’ll be ready to go.” Check back with MTV News for updates as this story continues to develop.

Odd Future crooner’s eerie clip hit the Web on Thursday. By Steven Roberts Frank Ocean Photo: MTV News Since the release of his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra this past February, Frank Ocean has gone from a relatively unknown songwriter to the Internet’s best-kept secret, and now he may be poised to be music’s next big thing. But with Ocean choosing to do very little press, his appearance in Tyler, the Creator’s “She” video may be one of the only times many people have seen the Odd Future crooner besides a handful of press photos. That all changed Thursday: The video for Ocean’s “Novacane,” one of Nostalgia ‘s many standout cuts, just hit the Web. The Nabil Elderkin-directed clip features Ocean in what looks like a dimly lit hotel suite. With each exhale of a joint, Ocean is surrounded by ghostly incarnations of beautiful women, tigers and pandas. At one point, Ocean smears what appears to be novocaine — or Procaine, for those out there with dentist parents — on his solemn-looking face. The song is the first single from the Def Jam re-release of Ocean’s album. A track list for the re-release of the album has yet to appear, but the free version featured a variety of samples, from Coldplay’s “Strawberry Swing” to the Eagles’ “Hotel California,” which may be difficult to clear. When MTV News caught up with Ocean at the Coachella festival in April, even he joked that he was skeptical whether they’d be cleared. “The Eagles sample has no chance in hell of being cleared,” Ocean said. “Coldplay sample, possibly. I hear ‘possibly’ from people who say they know. MGMT, those guys seem chill. I heard they heard the record and they liked it a lot, so hopefully that can go some way. “Hopefully the sh– gets worked out. We might pull a Hail Mary and clear the Eagles’ record. My name is Zaire, I’m 15, and I’m a true belieber. So far, I’ve had two Bieber experiences and they were great! My first one happened on 2/17/11. I was at home on Twitter and Justin was having one of his crazy re-tweeting sprees. Like every other belieber out there, I tweeted him. He was asking us what our favorite song was on his new album, ‘Never Say Never (The Remixes)’. I tweeted him what my favorite songs were, and sent it, not expecting anything. I noticed that my tweet had a few typos in it, so I tried to go back and change it. Once I did, I went onto Justin’s page, and I screamed. There was my tweet on his page! It happened at10:05 PM on February 17th, 2011 , the one with the typos. I couldn’t believe it! My second Bieber experince happened on 6/11/11. Justin was in the Bay Area in California for a benefit concert in Saratoga, California. I did everything I could to get tickets. I tried winning them off the radio, and checking ticket master for even the worst seats possible. I wanted to go so badly! At around noon that day, I figured there wasn’t a chance I was going to go, so I stop trying. At around 1:30pm, I was on Twitter when I saw a tweet that my friend tweeted, asking if anyone wanted to go to the Justin Bieber concert tonight, because her friend was selling tickets. I thought, “Omg, this can not be happening right now!” So I jumped at the chance. I contacted my friend who knew the girl that was selling the tickets, and she said the price was 2 for $200. One ticket for $100 dollars, no way! So while we were trying to coordinate how and when to get the tickets, the price had suddenly rose from $100 to $300! Suddenly my friend couldn’t go anymore, and I thought my chances of seeing Justin Bieber were over. I was so upset! Just when I was about to give up all hope, my friend contacted me and told me that the price went back down to $200, but I negotiated with her and got the price down to $150, because she just really wanted to sell the tickets. Since my other friend still couldn’t go, I called my best friend Alex and asked her if she wanted to go, and she said yes! She came over and we made our shirts and then my friend came over and we paid for our tickets. Finally the tickets were ours! The venue was small and it was on top of this huge mountain. We finally made it inside and it was chaos! We saw Kenny and Scooter, but we didn’t go up to them because they were too far away from us . We found our seats, which were actually pretty good, considering we didn’t have floor seats, and chilled until finally, it started! It was great! Justin is an amazing performer. He can totally hype the crowd. Right before he performed Eenie Meenie, we took a moment of silence and prayed for Sean Kingston with him. I thought that was so sweet of him to do! When he sang my favorite song, ‘That Should Be Me’, I almost started crying! I couldn’t believe I was there! I can finally say that I’ve been to a Justin Bieber concert! While we were waiting outside for my parents to pick us up, a golf cart drove by, and it had the dancers in it! I have a huge crush on Nick Demoura, and he was literally 10 feet away from me! I freaked out! These 2 Bieber experiences, are days that I will remember forever, but it also teaches me to never give up. If I really want something, I have to work for it. Justin really teaches us that with everything that he does. He’s only 17 and he’s accomplished so much, yet he’s still trying to do more! So thank you Justin for making my dreams come true. I hope I can meet you one day to tell you how much I appreciate you, but for now I’ll keep supporting you with all my heart. The other few candidates he previously helped with youtube videos… all lost. “This ad is incredibly offensive and sexist to all women,” Hahn campaign manager Dave Jacobson told TPM. “The producer of this ad should be ashamed of himself and Craig Huey should be ashamed to have this kind of thing produced on his behalf.” Jacobson called on Huey to “come out and condemn this ad immediately.” In a statement EMILY’s List, which has endorsed Hahn, called the ad “the most vile, racist, sexist ad we have ever seen” and also called on Huey to condemn it. Huey’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment. Neither did the Los Angeles County GOP. California Republican Party spokesperson Mark Standriff distanced the party and Huey from the web ad. “The video in question is highly offensive and totally inappropriate,” he said “and has no connection whatsoever to the Huey campaign or the California Republican Party.” On his website, Ehlinger preemptively refuted charges that the ad is racist: Before you charge racism at the ad, consider her one line in the video: “It takes a different kind of person to speak the language.” By that she means, it takes black people to talk to black people. 2005 statistics from the LAPD reported that the vast majority of L.A.’s gang population is made up of predominately Latino gangs. Swedish pop star downplays reports of friction between her and tourmate Perry, backstage at Bonnaroo. By James Montgomery Robyn Photo: MTV News Earlier this year, after Katy Perry announced Robyn as an opening act on her California Dreams Tour , the Swedish pop sensation was asked in several interviews (including our own ) about her thoughts on Perry’s music … and, as it turns out, she didn’t have any. Of course, that non -answer began to make the rounds, and before long, folks began to interpret Robyn’s silence on the subject to mean she didn’t like Perry’s music, which would’ve made opening for her slightly awkward, to say the very least. But as Robyn told MTV News at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival over the weekend, nothing could be further from the truth. Except for the part where she said she didn’t have an opinion on Perry’s music. Because, at the time, she didn’t. “I think that girls are always expected to have opinions about each other, and maybe I don’t have an opinion about some things, you know? That doesn’t mean I have a bad opinion or a good opinion, it’s just that, at that point, I never met her,” Robyn said. “I didn’t know much about her album that was out, and it was hard for me to have an opinion, and that’s all. There’s some songs that she’s made that I think [are] amazing: the pre-chorus in ‘Teenage Dream,’ I wish I had wrote that. So, it’s all good.” And Robyn was quick to point out that, while folks were practically falling over themselves to ask her for her take on Katy Perry, rarely, if ever, has she been asked for her opinions on artists of the opposite sex. While she stopped short of connecting the dots, you can pretty much infer any and all social ramifications that fact may contain. “I think it goes especially for girls. We’re always expected to have thoughts about what the other person is doing, and I think that’s silly,” she said. “You very rarely get asked about another guy as a male artist.” And so, having put the supposed drama to bed, Robyn is ready to admit that she’s having an absolute blast on the California Dreams Tour … and she couldn’t be happier to be sharing the stage with Perry. “For me, bigger’s not always better, I want to do things where I feel like my integrity of what I do onstage is not compromised, and I knew she was a fan and she wanted me to go on and just do my thing, and that’s why I did it,” she said. “It was an easy decision.
