Jeremih Arrested For DUI This won’t be one of Jeremih’s happier birthdays, it seems. The singer was pulled over by police on the way back from his Thursday night turn-up early this morning, and promptly arrested once officers determined that he was too inebriated for the road. Via TMZ : R&B star Jeremih rang in his birthday by singing the DUI blues — he got arrested early Friday morning in the Valley … TMZ has learned. The “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer was pulled over by California Highway Patrol around 2:15 AM and booked for misdemeanor DUI. Jeremih turned 28 on Friday … so, we’re guessing he was out celebrating. He ended up spending the rest of the night behind bars. Bail was set at $15k, and he was released around 11 AM. Hope the turn up was good … ’cause tonight’s gonna suck. Damn homie. Looks like he might want to confine his birthday festivities to the house tonight…

Customers Flee Target After Hearing Loud Porn Over Speakers Customers at a California Target were forced to cover their ears and leave the store after loud moans and grunts from a pornographic movie were mysteriously broadcast through the store’s speaker system. Via MailOnline : A group of shoppers at a Target store in California heard way more than they bargained for when the sound of porn played over the store’s PA system. The unsuspecting shoppers were browsing through the aisles at a Target in San Luis Obispo on Friday when the sound of loud porn interrupted their shopping trip. Stunned shoppers were left red-faced after the naughty sounds filled the store located in the 11000 block of Los Osos Valley Road. The police arrived at 11.30 a.m. to investigate how the audio track ended up being broadcast for all to hear. Sergeant Jeff Booth from San Luis Obispo police department said it was not known how the audio track was played on the PA system, or how long the explicit material was on. But a store employee, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Tribune that the store was briefly evacuated while staff figured out how to turn it off. Police are now investigating the incident. Sounds like someone was fed up on the job. Would some surprise smash noises make you stop shopping, or would you just finish getting your items and ring up?

Ariana Grande is really, truly sorry. The singer – who has taken a fair share of criticism this week for saying she hates America while staring at a tray full of donuts – has posted a four-minute long video titled “Sorry Babes” in which she goes into detail with an apology for the “whole donut fiasco.” Grande was caught on camera slamming the country while inside a California bakery, an incident that took place after she licked a donut for one reason. After acknowledging that her initial apology missed the mark, Ariana goes on to say here: “All the advances we’ve made in the last couple of months, all the wonderful progressive things that have been going on – I’ve never been prouder of this country, actually. “But, yeah, here I am apologizing to y’all.” The singer artist on to admit: “Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no idea was taken is such a rude awakening. It’s like you don’t know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself.” Since the America-bashing took place, stars such as Rob Lowe have come out and slammed Grande . At 22 years old, Grande admitted she still has “a lot to learn,” nearly breaking down into tears at various points. “I never want to be anything but a positive influence on my babes, or my loves, or anyone who pays attention to me… I feel like I let you all down, which sucks,” she concluded. “I’m just here to apologize, and tell you that I love you, and I appreciate being able to talk to you like this.”

Latinos Outnumber Whites In California People have projected for years that Latino Americans would outnumber the rest of the races residing in the USA. That day has already come for California , where the “minority” has officially eclipsed the number of Caucasians residing in the state. Via LATimes : The demographers agreed: at some point in 2014, Latinos would pass whites as the largest ethnic group in California. Determining when exactly that milestone would occur was more of a tricky question. Counting people isn’t like counting movie ticket receipts. The official confirmation had to wait until new population figures were released by the Census Bureau this summer. The new tally, released in late June, shows that as of July 1, 2014, about 14.99 million Latinos live in California, edging out the 14.92 million whites in the state. The shift shouldn’t come as a surprise. State demographers had previously expected the change to occur sometime in 2013, but slow population growth pushed back projections. In January 2014, the state Department of Finance estimated the shift would take place at some point in March. Either way, the moment has officially arrived. “It is going to accelerate,” said Roberto Suro, director of the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute at USC. “This is really the beginning of a new phase that will play out over another generation.” The continued influx and growth of Latinos in the United States is not being fueled exclusively by immigration but by second- and third-generation immigrants who are settling down and starting families, said Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, a professor and dean of education at UCLA’s Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. “Where L.A. goes is where the rest of the state goes and where the rest of the country goes,” he said. “We announce demographically speaking, the future for the rest of the country.” The world is definitely changing !
