Exec Arrested For Embezzling $1.3 Million Via NYPost A former Warner Music executive — a top Hollywood fund-raiser for President Obama — embezzled more than $1 million from the record label, Manhattan prosecutors charged Tuesday. Danielle D. Smith, 45, flew from California and turned herself in at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She was arraigned on charges of first-degree grand larceny. Smith, who worked in the Los Angeles in the “urban” unit of Warner Music’s Atlantic Records division, allegedly used a corporate credit card to rack up $1.3 million in personal charges, prosecutors said. Smith’s duties at Warner Music, headquartered in Manhattan, included scouting and signing artists, as well as arranging their travel and lodging, sources said. But Smith also used her Warner Music credit card to fund a luxury lifestyle, sources said. She booked rooms in posh hotels and airfare for personal vacations and trips herself, and shelled out for “luxury goods” — resulting in whopping charges being billed to the company credit card between 2007 and 2011, according to law-enforcement sources. Smith resigned from Atlantic in late 2011, while she was under internal investigation for the credit card charges, sources said. Guess times have been tough for Danielle since she’s stopped stealing money from her former employer… Smith looked haggard in court, wearing black-rimmed glasses, a purple sweater and a gray wool coat. She pleaded not guilty before Justice Gregory Carro, who set bail at $1 million. Her lawyer, Scott Leemon, has represented rappers 50 Cent and Jim Jones. Smith’s mother flew with her from California and agreed to put up a retirement fund to spring her daughter on bail, working with bail bondsman to the stars Ira Judelson. “She denies the allegations and we look forward to exonerating her,” said Leemon. Justin Bieber’s arrest record has officially gone international. The singer turned himself in Canadian police last night and now faces criminal assault charges stemming from a night out in late December. Justin Bieber Arrested in Canada According to a press release from the Toronto Police Service, a limousine picked up Bieber’s party around 3 a.m. on December 30, following a Toronto Maple Leafs game and a few hours inside a club. An “altercation” then “occurred between one of the passengers and the driver,” with authorities saying “a man struck the limousine driver on the back of the head several times.” The driver pulled over, called the police and the alleged culprit “left the scene” before cops arrived. Witnesses have come forward in the past few days and said Bieber was the person who assaulted the driver. Arian Foster has been a top draft pick in most fantasy football leagues over the past few years. But, for 20-year old Brittany Norwood, her relationship with the Houston Texans running back has turned into a nightmare. The University of Houston senior is taking the All-Pro to court because she alleges she is pregnant with his child and he has been harassing her to get an abortion. Arian Foster Pregnancy Scandal: Brittany Norwood Speaks Out According to Norwood, she started sleeping with Foster last summer, unaware that he was married with children. The dalliance continued through November, she says, where the pair spent a week together in California while Foster was recovering from back surgery. “I truly fell in love with this person,” says Norwood , who has since sold photos of the couple to TMZ. At some point in the last month, however, Norwood told Foster that she was carrying his child and he responded negatively and harshly. “He’s like, ‘You can’t have this, you can’t have this kid, like, we cannot bring a child into this, like, think about my kids,'” Norwood says, sharing a text message from Foster that reads: You just can’t bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It’s not fair to anyone. It’s not just about you, Norwood says Foster’s brother has also been harassing her, telling him their family “will never accept this child” and that it will “ruin everything” for Arian. Norwood in due in June and is having a boy. She says Foster hasn’t helped with her medical bills and her attorney has filed a temporary restraining order against the running back, saying he has recklessly engaged in a pattern of outrageous conduct that caused Norwood to “suffer severe emotional distress.” The lawyer is also asking a court to have Foster submit to a DNA test. “We want his conduct to stop,” says attorney Douglas York. “We want him to communicate effectively and we want the harassment to end.”

Nadya Suleman is facing eviction from her Orange County residence. But the state of California may soon have a new place for the Octomom to live: prison. Sources confirm that the mother of 14 has been charged with 14 counts of welfare fraud and faces over five years behind bars if convicted across the board. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed the count this afternoon, coming down on the amateur porn star for one count of aid by misrepresentation and two counts of perjury by false application for aid. Overall, Suleman failed to report approximately $30,000 in earnings between January and June of last year. An investigation into these welfare charges began in August and included authorities seizing payments record from Vivid, the company that produced the Octomom sex tape and, of course, paid Nadya for her naked efforts. The District Attonry is asking the judge to set bail at $25,000. We’ll update this story as news breaks.

In the wake of Bieber allegedly throwing as many as 20 eggs at his neighbor’s house (an incident that prompted a curse-filled confrontation, the audio from which is posted below) insiders tell TMZ that law enforcement officials are seeking to nail the singer with a FELONY . Considering the items that were hit with eggs – Venetian plaster, expensive doors – the bill may actually end up well into the five figures. Seriously, homes in Calabasas aren’t exactly cheap. It’s where numerous celebrities, such as the Kardashians and Keyshawn Johnson, reside. And because Bieber has run afoul of the law on so many occasions ( driving recklessly , throwing loud parties, drinking underage), officials see this as a prime opportunity to set the star straight. This is the first time in the past year or so since Justin fell off his respectable cliff that the Sheriff’s department has real evidence against Bieber – and it plans to put it to very serious use.
