Jack Klugman, a veteran television star best known for his role as one half of The Odd Couple , has passed away. He was 90 years old. Klugman, who also starred on Quincy, M.E , died last night at his home in Northridge, California, surrounded by family members. He earned two Emmmys and a Golden Globe Award and will forever be remember as Oscar Madison, the hard-living, sloppy roommate of Tony Randall’s Felix Unger. Aside from TV credits that also include The Twilight Zone, Klugman appeared in movies such as 12 Angry Men and Days of Wine and Roses. He is survived by wife Peggy’ sons Adam and David Klugman; and as stepsons Randy Wilson and Phil Crosby Jr., along with two grandchildren.

YES, according to a report in The New York Daily News , which cites an anonymous source as claiming Bieber “smokes weeds all day” and “orders everybody around.” “Justin doesn’t seem to care and does whatever he wants,” the insider says of Bieber . The articles refers to a pair of recent Justin Bieber scandals as evidence of his bratty behavior: His mocking of Manny Pacquiao after that boxer suffered a loss, which has resulted in complaints from politicans from the Philippines. The assertion by the California Hamster Association that Justin actually engaged in animal cruelty when he handed over his pet hamster as a present to a fan. Yes, the second point seems rather absurd, but the source says it’s symbolic of Bieber simply acting however he pleases. “Justin is someone teens look up to and this kind of behavior can really hurt his career,” says the newspaper. “Just look at what happened with Britney Spears.” The report adds that the stress of his relationship with Selena Gomez is also taking a toll on The Biebs. We already knew this but we’re glad someone ‘ official ‘ finally came out and said it. According to The Huffington Post , alcohol has a higher affect than good ‘ole mary does when it comes to our brains: A teen who consumes alcohol is likely to have reduced brain tissue health, but a teen who uses marijuana is not, according to a new study. Researchers scanned the brains of 92 adolescents, ages 16 to 20, before and after an 18-month period. During that year and a half, half of the teens — who already had extensive alcohol and herb-use histories — continued to use mary-jane and alcohol in varying amounts. The other half abstained or kept consumption minimal, as they had throughout adolescence. The before-and-after brain scans of the teens consuming typically five or more drinks at least twice a week showed reduced white matter brain tissue health, study co-author Susan Tapert, neuroscientist at University of California, San Diego, told HuffPost. This may mean declines in memory, attention, and decision-making into later adolescence and adulthood, she said. However, the level of herb use — up to nine times a week during the 18 months — was not linked to a change in brain tissue health. The researchers did not test performance; they only looked at brain scans. The study was conducted by researchers at UC San Diego and is scheduled to be published in the April issue of the journal Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research. The damage occurs because white matter brain tissue develops throughout adolescence and into a person’s 20s, Joanna Jacobus, postdoctoral fellow at the UC San Diego, and co-author of the study, told HuffPost. Part of that still-developing brain tissue is where decision-making ability comes from, which can exacerbate substance use. “It becomes a cycle. If teens decrease their tissue health and cognitive ability to inhibit themselves, they might become more likely to engage in risky behavior like excessive substance use,” Jacobus said. The researchers are not sure why alcohol had an effect and that ‘green yahmean’ did not. They said the study results cannot be considered definitive without more research. They also said they do not know if the reduced brain tissue health is permanent. Because the researchers followed the subjects for 18 months, they were able to at least partially monitor preexisting differences in the two groups. But Jacobus conceded that eliminating other factors — such as genetics, home environment, and even minimal use of other drugs — is very difficult. Each teen in the study received brain imaging, a detailed substance-use assessment, and toxicology screening at the beginning of the study and at the end of the study — as well as substance-use interviews every six months. My name is Brittney and I still cant believe this is real. I have looked up to Justin since late 2009. As soon as I heard about Bieberfever.com I joined. Later I found out that if you were a member, you could enter a contest to meet Justin. I thought there was no way possible I would win. I was wrong. The day of the concert which was July 13th 2010 at 7:21am I received an email saying “Congratulations Justin Bieber fan.” I was FREAKING OUT and nobody believed me. I remember telling my mom and she couldn’t believe it. I was really hoping it wasn’t a joke and I couldn’t wait for it to be time to leave to go to the concert. Once we got there we were waiting in the M&G line waiting for someone to come get us. After hours of waiting someone came and got us and I was shaking. My mom got to meet him too which was really cool . We then had to wait in a long line once we got inside. We say Kenny and then Justin! Once it was our turn I didn’t know what to do. I really thought I was dreaming. I WAS MEETING JUSTIN BIEBER. I walked in and stood next to him on his left and he didn’t say anything but it was okay because I know I would have stuttered. I gave the present that I got him to Kenny who was really nice. After the picture was over I couldn’t stop thinking about meeting him but I still had the concert to look forward to! At the time I was 14 and he was 16. A few months later for my 15th birthday I was surprised by my grandparents and they flew me to California (Ontario) to see him perform again. WHAT!? Now this was really insane. I couldn’t contain my excitement. After two months of waiting for October 24th to arrive I was preparing myself to not be able to meet him again, I didn’t want to get my hopes up. Then the morning of the concert I kept refreshing my email hoping for an email that I won. It wasn’t coming and then IT CAME! I won again and I was getting to meet JUSTIN AGAIN!! I still thought it wasn’t going to happen but I started freaking out even more and started telling everyone and everyone was in TOTAL SHOCK. My grandma was going with me and she was excited to meet him to and was telling all of her friends. I wanted to make sure we weren’t late so we arrived at the venue at 1:00 and the M&G wasn’t until 5:00. We were the second people to get there and we saw Justin’s bus pulled in and kind of stalked him. My grandma was driving and I pushed her knee down to drive faster (which probably wasn’t a good idea) but we got really close and I saw Kenny! His bus pulled into where I couldn’t go so we got out and went to wait in line for the M&G. IT WAS TIME TO GO IN! We met a couple people in the line and decided we would be in the same picture. Me on his left and another girl on his right. The first time I didn’t really stand close to him, then the second time I put my arm around him. Once I did that I was like shaking and couldn’t believe I actually put my arm around him. We walked in the room and he said “Hey guys, how are you doing?” Of course I said “jwubribfrgv” my words weren’t coming out right. HAHA! At least I can laugh about it now. I really wanted to ask him for a hug but I chickened out. We took our picture and left. I didn’t think I was going to be nervous meeting him a second time but I was. Then I heard him announce his BELIEVE tour and I was really hoping he was coming back to Washington. Then I saw: Tacoma Washington, October 9th 2012. AHHHHH. My idol was coming back! I thought I would try my luck again and enter the bieberfever.com contest. The day before the concert I was sitting in class and got the email. I was totally flipping out and had leave class and call everyone and tell them. Everyone thought I was dying I was freaking out so much! I am so blessed to have gotten this opportunity once, let alone 3 times. The third time was the best experience for me. I was with my friends and I hugged him this time! Best 5 seconds of my life! Little Nahla has to stay here in the states. Halle and her french beau Olivier Martinez can still take Nahla on trips to Paris as often as they want, but only on Halle’s designated time. According to TMZ : Halle Berry just lost big in court — a judge has ruled she cannot permanently move her 4-year-old daughter to France … TMZ has learned. Halle had been fighting tooth and nail with her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry to bring Nahla to Paris, where Halle wants to live with her fiance Olivier Martinez. Halle argued the L.A. paparazzi scene made life in California too dangerous for her and her daughter — but today the judge in the case ruled in favor of Gabriel, refusing to let Halle jet to France with their kid. The full details of the ruling are unclear — but one thing’s for sure … Halle did NOT get what she wanted. Halle has said from the beginning she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla’s life — she merely believed France would be safer for everyone involved.
