Eighteen-year-old daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to reports. By Rob Markman Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown Photo: Steve Granitz/ WireImage In a most dramatic turn of events it is being reported that Whitney Houston’s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital today, less than 24 hours after her mother was found dead in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel. According to TMZ , Bobbi Kristina, who was Houston’s only child with ex-husband Bobby Brown, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital on Sunday afternoon (February 12). She was taken out on a stretcher from the Beverly Hilton, the same hotel where her mother reportedly died. Unnamed law enforcement sources confirmed to TMZ that police responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm that the person transported was Houston’s daughter. In a statement issued to MTV News the Houston family expressed their grief in this trying time. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney. This is an unimaginable tragedy and we will miss her terribly,” the statement read. “We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from her fans and friends.” It was reported on Saturday that Bobbi Kristina got into a shouting match with police officers after she was denied entry into the fourth-floor room where her mother had died. TMZ reported she demanded to see her mother’s body, but police informed her that no one was allowed to see the body. Houston’s cousin, singer Dionne Warwick, was also turned away. Bobbi Kristina’s dad, Bobby Brown, was also distraught over the death of the pop and R&B diva. While performing a Mississippi concert with his band New Edition on Saturday night, Brown was visibly shaken but still managed to address the crowd, telling fans that their support for New Edition over the years was the only thing that allowed him to get through the show. “First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all,” he said. “Second, I would like to say, ‘I love you Whitney.’ The hardest thing for me to do is come on this stage.” MTV News’ Sway and James Montgomery will be live from the Grammys red carpet tonight starting at 5 p.m. ET to get reactions from music’s biggest stars on the death of Whitney Houston. Ben Gazzara, a popular character actor, passed away Friday at the age of 81. The cause of death was pancreatic cancer, his lawyer told The New York Times . His powerful dramatic performances brought an intensity to a variety of roles and made him a memorable presence in iconic productions over the years. From the original Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway to the movie The Big Lebowski and countless others, he made an impact on stage, screen and film. Accomplished as an actor, and known as dapper and irresistible to women, Gazzara (also known for Roadhouse ) came by his many streetwise roles naturally. He began his career on Broadway productions, later moving to California to appear in movies, including Anatomy of a Murder and The Young Doctors . He also played his most famous role on TV, as a doomed attorney on NBC’s answer to ABC’s The Fugitive . Called Run for Your Life , it ran from 1965-68.

It’s been many minutes now since Kim Kardashian last made news – gasp! She has slightly lighter hair ! – so we figured readers were anxious to find out what this reality star is up. In the eyes of the tabloids, that is. First, according to In Touch Weekly , Kim is controlled in every conceivable way by mother Kris Jenner, who allegedly pushed her into having sex at age 14 and also brainwashed her with money. Hmmm… this is one magazine story we may actually believe. Meanwhile, Reality TV Weekly is the latest source to claim that Kris Humphries plans to sue Kim in order to force her into a confession: that their marriage was a scam from the start. Kris “wants the world to know how badly he was duped into this sham of a marriage,” an insider says. “[Humphries] feels he was set up by the Kardashians. He wants to be able to tell his side. When he married Kim, he thought it was forever, but he realized Kim wasn’t in love with him and now believes he was merely a prop.” The power forward hopes a judge will soon overturn his prenup and then he can go on record legally with his Kardashian bashing, which we highly encourage him to do ASAP. Katy Perry has booked her first U.S. performances since breaking up with Russell Brand late last year. It looks like she’s got a busy week ahead of her, too. Katy has performed abroad as a single woman, just not in the U.S. In her first show since Russell Brand filed for divorce , Perry planted a kiss on a lucky fan’s cheek. A pic of Perry smooching the surprised, shirtless male onstage caused quite a stir on the Internet. Katy set the record straight on Twitter afterward, though: “I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as part of my show for all 125 tour dates,” she tweeted. “Simmer down now.” LOL.
