Pied Piper of Paperwork: R. Kelly Threatening To Sue Everybody Over Doc He Didn’t Watch

Source: R. Kelly (aka Robert Sylvester Kelly) 25 Strong: The BET Silver Anniversary Celebration Shrine Auditorium Los Angeles, California- 26.10.05 Featuring: R. Kelly (aka Robert Sylvester Kelly) Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 27 Oct 2005 Credit: David Livingston / WENN R. Kelly’s name is the equivalent of hot garbage after the airing of Lifetime’s 6-part documentary, Surviving R. Kelly . Despite reportedly not actually watching any of the doc, the R&B crooner is threatening to sue those involved. Good luck with that. Reports TMZ : Sources in day-to-day contact with R. Kelly tell TMZ, the singer is “disgusted” by the series, which makes shocking allegations against him including sex with various underage girls, physical abuse and mind control. People interviewed say he’s running a sex cult.  The sources say R. Kelly views the series as a “vendetta” against him by producers and others who have hated him throughout his professional career. We’re told R. Kelly’s team downloaded him on the various people who appeared on the show and he claims he doesn’t even know half of them. He claims the other half hate him for various personal and professional reasons. We doubt the “I don’t even know her” defense would work in court. But then again, the crooner has gotten away with his alleged abuse for years. Nevertheless, a source told TMZ,  “He’s going to sue everybody who had anything to do with this.” We also doubt that R’uh really has the coin to “sue everybody” now that the jig is up and those concerts keep getting canceled . — Photo: WENN.com

Chance The Rapper Gets Dragged For ‘I Didn’t Believe The R. Kelly Victims Because They Were Black Women’ Comment

Source: Joshua Lott / Getty Fair or foul??? Chance The Rapper Initially Didn’t Believe The R. Kelly Victims Because They Were Black Women Chance The Rapper is getting eviscerated for an interview that aired during the “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary. Before the final episode of the four-part special aired on Lifetime, Rolling Stone posted that a clip from an interview done by our brother site Cassius would air featuring Chance admitting grievances to Jamilah Lemieux. In the interview Chance, who brought out R. Kelly in 2014 at Lollapalooza and who collaborated with the singer on “Somewhere in Paradise”, told Jamilah that he’d made a mistake. “Making a song with R. Kelly was a mistake. I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women,” said Chance. “I made a mistake.” But that’s not all Chance said. In the full interview, Chance added that while black women are “higher oppressed”, there’s hypersensitivity to black male oppression—which is why he had his doubts. He also added that victims who get the attention of this magnitude or usually light skinned or white. “We’re programmed to really be hypersensitive to black male oppression, but black women are exponentially higher oppressed and violated group of people just in comparison to the whole world,” said Chance. “Maybe I didn’t care because I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women.” “Usually, n****s that get in trouble for s*** like this on their magnitude of celebrity, it’s light-skinned women or white women. That’s when it’s a big story. I’ve never really seen any pictures of R. Kelly’s accusers.” “I made a mistake and I’m happy that those women are getting voices now and I can grow to understand better what my positioning should be or should’ve been when that opportunity came.” Both Chance and Jamilah have cried foul over the Rolling Stone article and said the quote was taken out of context. pic.twitter.com/bqbKlsDA9l — Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) January 6, 2019 FYI, I conducted the interview with Chance in May. He spoke clearly and unequivocally in support of BW and the victims. https://t.co/uhTZT9TvEA — Jamilah Lemieux (@JamilahLemieux) January 6, 2019 Still despite that, the “didn’t value accuser’s stories” line is getting Chance dragged by people who couldn’t believe he thought that way—in particular, because he’s the product of a black woman and has a black daughter. A product of a black woman did not believe black children were raped SOLELY because they were black. Not for any other reason but hatred for black women. U don’t get kudos for finally realizing how trash that is. — J. Holiday’s Gucci Jacket (@eleven8) January 6, 2019 What the headline should have read is: Despite Chance the Rapper having a black daughter and fiancé he discounted the victim’s stories because they were black women. He now regrets making music with a sexual predator because it is bad for his brand. https://t.co/9TMFiNqkdn — Ariel Hazzard (@ArielHazzard) January 6, 2019 Should Chance be given credit for trying to absolve himself of his past bias—-or is it too little too late?

A Congresswoman F-Bombs Trump & Ellen Glosses Over Controversy: This Week’s Winners & Losers

Link:

Source: James Devaney / Getty Winners Unorthodox Dems Newly elected officials were sworn into Congress this week causing the Democrats to take over the House from Republicans. The Dems line-up features diverse representatives including Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar,  the first Muslim women elected to Congress, Deb Haaland and Sharice Davids , the first Native women elective to Congress, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez , the youngest person elected to Congress at 29 years old. Less than a week in office and the new faces are already proving they’re not your typical Congress people. Rashida Tlaib made this even more apparent when a video surfaced of her dropping the F-bomb to a crowd of supporters. In a speech about winning her seat, Tlaib said she was going to take on “bullies” while in office (ahem…TRUMP). “When your son looks at you and says ‘momma look you won,’ bullies don’t win,” Rashida said. “And I said ‘baby they don’t’ because we’re going to go in there and we’re going to impeach the motherfucker.” Rashida Tlaib on Trump: “We're going to impeach the Motherf***er” https://t.co/cCyKN4mzYk pic.twitter.com/hoFUOsxuQp — Newsweek (@Newsweek) January 4, 2019   RASHIDA IS NOT PLAYING GAMES. The Internet was shocked by her frankness, but for the most part, her supporters were on the verge of a praise break… “Impeach the mother fucker,” said new Dem Rep Rashida Tlaib. I think I love this new House. — Scott Dworkin (@funder) January 4, 2019 I have no problem at all with what freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib said. The people of Michigan didn’t send her there to bake fucking cookies for all them assholes. #Morningjoe — Luke (@JDLuckenbach) January 4, 2019   But of course Republicans were clutching their pearls at Rashida’s language…despite having a president who has a river-length history of foul statements. Even some Democrats chastised Rashida with California Rep. Jim Costa calling her words “inappropriate,” according to CNN . But Rashida wasn’t about to take back her delivery. She posted a tweet on Friday saying “I will always speak truth to power.” I will always speak truth to power. #unapologeticallyMe — Rashida Tlaib (@RashidaTlaib) January 4, 2019   This is not your respectable Congress. Now let’s hope those policies match with the big talk.

A Lil Positivity: Coachella Is Launching An Initiative Against Sexual Assault & Harassment

Source: Christopher Polk / Getty Coachella Launches An Initiative Against Sexual Harassment Coachella is doing their part to stop sexual harassment, at least on their watch. The California music festival is launching a new initiative called Every One in order to combat sexual harassment and assault at its upcoming events. The  new Every One section  of the Coachella website states the following: “We are pushing ourselves and our guests to do better and to be better. We are taking deliberate steps to develop a festival culture that is safe and inclusive for everyone. Persons of any gender identity or expression, sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, age or ability are welcome at Coachella.” According to reports from The  Los Angeles Times ,  “Trained Safety Ambassadors” will also be on site to “facilitate access to care services for anyone in distress.” “Coachella will NOT tolerate any form of assault or harassment, be it sexual, physical or verbal. Anyone found to be in violation of this policy is subject to immediate removal from the festival site and law enforcement may be notified,” the website continues to state. “Every One tents will be staffed with trained counselors for anyone that needs extra support or a quiet moment away.” Widespread sexual assault at the 2018 festival made headlines, as reported by  Pitchfork , which prompted the creation of Every One in order to not have the same things happen at the festival this year. “Everyone from staff to festival-goer is imperative in co-creating a festival culture that not only keeps everyone safe, but respected and included,” Veline Mojarro, the festival’s Equity, Safety and Inclusion Consultant, told  Pitchfork . The festival is also going to include all-gender restrooms on its grounds. Continue reading

Jesus Take The Wheel: Family Beats The Brakes Off Uncle For Crushing 1-Year-Old Niece With Car & Fleeing

Source: Fresno Police / Fresno Police Man Beaten And Arrested After Running Over Baby Niece With Truck A 33-year-old man from Fresno, California most likely received  the beat down of his life after he seemed to accidentally hit his niece with his truck and kept driving. According to reports by The Daily Mail,  23-month-old Zayliah Medina was seen walking in front of the truck before he uncle, 33-year-old Eddie Alvarado, rolled over here, crushing her. In a weird twist, her uncle keeps driving and family members start to chase him. It was all caught on camera. Zayliah has been left with head trauma, spinal trauma, injuries to her organs and broken bones as a result. Alvarado sustained his own injuries after being assaulted in retaliation to hurting his niece according to Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer. The man didn’t snitch of who exactly assaulted him. He was booked Wednesday on hit-and-run charges. As we said earlier, it was all caught on video. This is GRAPHIC footage of the actual incident. Hit the flip with caution to see it.

Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer Share First Photo of Baby!

What a year it’s been for Ryan Edwards, huh? He’s done a whole lot of things — most of them were real, real bad. He’s been arrested twice, once for violating probation by failing a drug test and once for violating probation by driving 35 MPH over the speed limit . He spent a handful of days in jail, and three whole months in rehab ! Another big thing was when Maci Bookout had to get a restraining order against him for her and her family after he threatened to murder her husband . So yeah, bad things, right? Despite all of that, there was one very big, very good moment for Ryan this year. He welcomed a brand new baby boy! Yep, in October, Mackenzie Standifer gave birth to their first child together , a boy they named Jagger Ryan Edwards. Well, she named him that, anyway — he was still in rehab at the time. Besides Jagger, they have Hudson, Mackenzie’s son from her first marriage, and of course there’s Bentley, the son Ryan shares with Maci. What a lovely little family, right? Or at least we imagine they are — Mackenzie refuses to show off her new baby on social media, or on Teen Mom OG. It makes sense, really. After all, Ryan does attract a whole lot of hate, and Mackenzie herself receives even more . They’ve been the big Teen Mom OG villains for a long time now, and though attention is beginning to shift to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s marriage problems … Well, plenty of fans still have a whole mess of feelings about the Edwards. If Mackenzie had posted pictures of little Jagger, then unfortunately, there’s a decent chance she would have gotten negative comments about him, just because people don’t like his parents. People can be awful like that. She’s said that she’ll “probably never” show him off to the world, and honestly, it’s understandable. But luckily for us, she’s reconsidered things! Yep, today Mackenzie was kind enough to share a Christmas photo of her little family, minus Bentley: And just look at that cute little baby!!! Hudson is adorable too, as always, and Mackenzie looks phenomenal, especially for giving birth just a couple of months ago. As for Ryan, well, remember a few days ago when we heard a report about how he’s been seeming so happy and healthy these days? He certainly looks like it in this photo! His smile looks genuine, and although it looks like he couldn’t manage to spit out his dip for the Christmas card shoot, at least he doesn’t look high here. Hopefully he’s finally come around to raising a baby with Mackenzie and there won’t be any of the “call me when he’s three” talk like there was at the beginning of the pregnancy. Really, we just hope that things are as good as they possibly can be in the Edwards home. And oh, what a Christmas miracle that would be! View Slideshow: Ryan Edwards: Out of Rehab and Loving Life! Offset Crashes Cardi B Show, Issues VERY Public Apology

Offset and Cardi B has turned their break-up into a public spectacle. And it's making both parties look pretty awful. As a quick refresher: Cardi B announced several days ago that her marrage to Offset was over, keeping the reason why vague, but saying that she and the rapper would remain friends. Not long afterward, rumors of Offset cheating on Cardi went viral, with at least one woman owning up to her Offset boning and apologizing for her role in this relationship's demise. Cardi said very little in response, but Offset shared this video, in which he begged for his wife to forgive him: So that brings us to Saturday night. At Los Angeles’ Rolling Loud festival at the Banc of California Stadium, headlines by Cardi herself, an attendee captured a video of Offset crashing Cardi’s set to plead her to reignite their romance. As you can see in the footage featured here… at one point, stagehands rolled out three boxes that spelled out “Take Me Back Cardi” in what appeared to be flowers. From there, Offset appeared, a bouquet of white flowers in hand, to attempt to win Cardi back. Into the microphone, the Migos member proclaimed that “in front of the world, I love you.” How did Cardi response? She appeared to be annoyed; the lights went dim; the stars talked briefly; and then Offset walked off stage. Crazy, right?!? Only if you somehow believe this was somehow not totally planned and staged by both Cardi and Offset. We mean, there's simply no way security allows the rapper to just leap on stage in this manner unless Cardi was very much in on the so-called surprise crashing. After this video went viral, and fans went off on both celebrities, Cardi told them to please take it easy on her estranged husband. “I see a lot of people bashing me because they feel that because I’m defending my baby father, they think that I’m gonna get back together with him,” Cardi, who shares five-month-old daughter Kulture Kiari with Offset, said in one Instagram video, adding: “I’m not saying that I’m gonna get back together with him. I just don’t like that bashing online thing.” She then referenced Pete Davidson's very recent breakdown , writing: “Just earlier, you just saw how Pete Davidson was talking about how he don’t even want to be on this earth because mad people be coming at him every single day. “I wouldn’t want my baby father to have that feeling because of millions of people be bashing him every day. That’s a nasty feeling, and I wouldn’t want that.” Also aware of the backlash, Offset jumped on Twitter on Sunday and wrote: “All of my wrongs have been made public, I figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. “A n-gga was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh.” We have no idea where this marriage is going, but it's all become pretty ridiculous at this stage. Check out Offset's stage crash here.
