This is hilarious. At the conclusion of last night’s Washington Wizards-Detroit Pistons game, small forward Trevor Ariza fired off a three-pointer from the corner. Just as the buzzer sounded, it hit the net and the Washington announcers went crazy, screaming about the “DAGGER!” that just propelled their team to victory. There was just one problem: The shot merely hit the net. It did not go into the net. Be afraid, Sean Lowe. Be very afraid. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones danced his way to the Super Bowl XLVII title this month. Now he’ll be going Dancing With the Stars on ABC! Jones will be on the 16th season of the ABC dancing competition, which announced his casting. The rest of the cast will be unveiled Tuesday on GMA . The show returns March 18, a week after The Bachelor finale (follow this link for The Bachelor spoilers ) starring Lowe, who’s also rumored to be joining DWTS . Jones, 28, scored two amazing TDs in the Super Bowl. Now he’s ready to add the Mirror Ball to his trophy case a la Emmitt Smith and Hines Ward. Sounds like he’s up for the challenge , too. Asked on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month if he wanted to be on the new season’s cast, Jones said, “Oh yes sir … I’ll get it done. I’ll get it done, baby.” Aly Raisman, you are on notice.

Mallory Hagan, the reigning Miss America, has admitted to The New York Post that Toddlers & Tiaras is her “guilty pleasure.” And, no surprise here, the gorgeous blonde is all for childhood pageants. “I think a hobby is a hobby,” Hagan says . “If a child wants to do it, that is their prerogative… I absolutely loved doing pageants when I was little. They weren’t as grandiose as the ones you see on television, but I enjoyed being onstage.” But many critics around the country do NOT enjoy the series Mallory loves so much. Where do you stand? A person believed to be fugitive, ex-Los Angeles cop and alleged murderer Christopher Dorner exchanged gunfire with police today, officials say. A law enforcement source says Dorner fired on authorities in the San Bernardino Mountains; the status of the man at large and police is currently unknown. Officers were not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing investigation of Dorner and thus withheld their names as well as any additional details. However, one source tells The AP it’s believed Christopher Dorner committed a residential burglary of a cabin and had a couple tied up in the cabin. One was able to get away and make a call. Authorities responded to the location and gave chase mid-day Tuesday when Dorner fled in a stolen car. At that point, gunfire was exchanged. A second source said there was an active crime scene but did not have details in the latest and possibly final chapter of the massive Dorner manhunt . It is not immediately clear whether Dorner is in custody. Law enforcement officials are swarming the area, not long after U.S. Marshal’s officials said in court papers that Dorner could have fled to Mexico. In Tijuana, Dorner was listed as one of the most wanted fugitives. But the LAPD later said that was only one of many locations authorities were scouring. Detectives have also been examining video showing Dorner purchasing scuba gear in Torrance, Calif., days before his alleged killing spree began. Officers have been all over California pursuing tips about Dorner’s possible whereabouts, serving warrants at homes in Las Vegas and Point Loma. Meanwhile, an associate of Dorner was being tracked by investigators, suggesting that he may have received help eluding a massive law enforcement dragnet. Dorner, 33, has evaded authorities since Wednesday when he was named the suspect in the slaying of an Irvine couple. He also allegedly killed a cop. There is a $1 million reward for Dorner’s capture.
