Ex-American Idol Star Accused of Carrying Just a Crapload of Drugs

As previously reported,  Antonella Barba was arrested in October on drug charges. Upon inital intel gathering, this crime seemed serious enough, as the former American Idol sensation was charged with a felony due to allegedly carrying over 100 grams of heroin. Yikes, right? But here’s the thing: It turns out the possible crime was actually far worse. According to newly unsealed court documents, Barba is accused of acting as a courier for a major drug ring when Virginia authorities arrested her nearly four months ago with two pounds of fentanyl. Yes, two pounds. While that figure may not be very high when pounds are typically used to measure something… trust us. That is simply a f-ck ton of fentanyl. (Fentanyl is a pain reliever for which one needs a prescription for legal use; it can cause respiratory distress and death when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances, especially alcohol. Prince, for example, died with high levels of fentanyl in his system .) Barba was indicted last week on 11 federal charges, including: – One count of conspiracy to distribute and possess cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. – 10 counts of distribution or possession of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. As of this writing, the ex-artist remains in police custody and will be held until at least Thursday, when she’s set to appear in court for a detention hearing. Barba advanced to the Top 16 of American Idol in 2007. She made headlines over a decade ago not just for her voice, but also because a bunch of explicit photos of the brunette emerged and circulated online while she battled for the title that eventually went to Jordin Sparks. For example, Barba gained notoriety for posing in a wet t-shirt in the fountain of the World War II Memorial in D.C. We aren’t about to post these X-rated images here, but she also allegedly was snapped while she giving someone oral sex. And it sounds like things haven’t improved a ton for the New Jersey native. The heavily-redacted indictment alleges that Barba was one of many members of a drug conspiracy that was active in Hampton Roads between late 2017 and the fall of 2018. This document states that Barba was delivering approximately 830 grams of fentanyl when she was arrested the morning of October 11. In 2012, Barba appeared on an episode of Fear Factor. She, along with a multitude other former American Idol stars, also participated in a “We Are the World” parody on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May of last year. We hope she finds a way to turn her life around.

#BlackLivesMatter: Aspiring Rapper Asleep In Car Shot And Killed By Police

Source: David McNew / Getty An aspiring rapper was killed by six police officers who was he was sleeping in his car. According to Buzzfeed News , on Saturday night six Vallejo, California, police officers were called to Taco Bell to check out Willie James McCoy (aka Willie Bo), who was  slumped over” inside a silver Mercedes-Benz. When police arrived, McCoy, 20, was unresponsive. However, they saw a handgun in his lap, a gun that authorities later discovered was loaded and stolen from Oregon. “The two officers decided to hold their position and did not attempt to wake the driver,”  police said in a statement. “Instead they decided to wait for additional officers to arrive on scene and ensure that people in the parking lot were safe and did not approach the vehicle.”   After noticing that the car’s “transmission was in drive,” they couldn’t open the driver’s side door once additional officers arrived. That’s when the situation turned south. “The driver began to suddenly move and looked at the uniformed patrol officers,” officials said, BuzzFeed reported. “Officers gave the driver several commands to put his hands up. The driver did not comply and instead moved his hands downward toward the firearm.” Then, six police officers opened fire at McCoy for about four seconds, Buzzfeed noted. After the shooting, one of the officers reached through the broken glass and grabbed the handgun. While police claim they tried to perform CPR on McCoy, the young man was declared dead at the scene. McCoy’s cousin David Harrison  told the Los Angeles Times that the Bay Area aspiring rapper was an “ambitious goodhearted kid.” “Willie was a goodhearted kid,” Harrison said. “He loved children. He was ambitious. There was no such things as friends for him. His friends were family.” Harrison also took to Facebook to warn Black parents to protect their children from the police. “You can’t just keep killing us in the streets like this,” adding, “My little cousin was asleep in the car. They shot him 20 mother f*cking times, in a mother f*cking car asleep.” The Solano County district attorney’s office is investigating the shooting. Bloop: Prime Time Sports Owner Removes All Nike Product To Protest Kaepernick, Closes For Good After 20-Years

Source: Paul Marotta / Getty Prime Time Sports Shuts Down After Removing Nike Merch To Protest Kaepernick Whew, chile, the karma. This story is some of the sweetest revenge a white man has ever fallen victim to . According to KOAA , the owner of Prime Time Sports in Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stephen Martin, has been forced to close the doors for good after 20 years in business. Apparently, Martin was so outraged by Nike’s decision to align themselves with a kneeling Colin Kaepernick that he decided to pull all the Nike product from his shelves. No hats, no socks, no t-shirts, but most importantly, no jerseys. Martin used to carry the official team merchandise for all 32 NFL teams and was the only place in a significantly large area with such a product. “Being a sports store without Nike is kind of like being a milk store without milk or a gas station without gas. How do you do it? They have a monopoly on jerseys,” said Martin. You taste that? The sweet flavor of comeuppance…mmmm, just like grandmama use to make. But if you think that quote is delicious, lay your eyes on this soup cookie cobbler: “As much as I hate to admit this, perhaps there are more Brandon Marshall and Colin Kaepernick supporters out there than I realized,” said Martin. Good riddance, Mr. Martin. You deserve all of the bad things that befall you as a result of your decision. He’ll probably end up on the welfare line with folks who proudly support Colin Kaepernick. *chef’s kiss*

Kate Gosselin: Actually Spotted in Public! With Daughters!

Kate Gosselin has broken her silence. Just not on the topic we all want her to talk about. On Tuesday afternoon, the frequent reality star actually sat on a stage to promote her latest program, appearing at the 2019 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. She was accompanied for the panel discussion by 18-year old twin daughters Mady and Cara. The polarizing parent, as you can see above and below, rocked her signature long blonde locks and donned a form-fitting gray sweater dress with nude heels. Cara, meanwhille, sat to the right of her mother and had glasses on, along with caramel highlights and a long-sleeve floral dress. As for Mady? She went with a pink zipper dress that she teamed with white ankle boots. The trio was on hand to talk about Kate Plus Date, an actual dating show that will actually air later this year on TLC. It will chronicle Kate’s life as a single parent, tracking the dates she goes on with a handful of very unfortunate suitors. Both Mady and Cara will be featured on the series as well. “We’ve been nudging her to date for years,” Mady told the press members gathered. “She deserves to be happy. Everyone deserves to be happy.” The show will premiere in June. “I knew what I wasn’t looking for, but I couldn’t articulate what I was looking for,” Gosselin explained of her mindset and outlook, adding of her love life: “They were strictly blind dates, but I didn’t even know, really, their names, until minutes before. A lot of the awkwardness, uncomfortable terrified reactions came from the fact that they were hit or miss. “It’s a very difficult concept, and this is a very real show in that I am really looking for someone.” Kate has been in the news of late for reasons beyond her search for love, however. Over the past several months, ex-husband Jon Gosselin has trash talked Kate in various interview, while spending a ton of time with daughter Hannah and son Collin. But it’s been more than mere time is the thing. Jon has actually been granted temporary custody of Collin , who was rarely seen over the past two years after he was sent away for a school for kids with special needs. Jon was granted this custody by a judge after Kate no-showed a hearing in December. “That’s her,” Jon said in response to Kate not even appearing in the courtroom. “I would never… I would always go to court, no matter what.” Hannah, meanwhile, has been living with her dad for about a year now. As surprised as folks have been to see Jon acting as a responsible father, they’ve been equally stunned by Kate’s silence throughout this ordeal. She has scarcely posted anything on social media and scarcely made any comments in public at all about the awkward custody situation. According to Jon, his ex never, EVER sees Collin . In front of television critics this week, though, Kate wasn’t about to touch this topic. She only wanted to go into detail about a show that one sane-minded person should ever tune in for. “It was important for me that my kids could watch the show and not feel cringe-y or uncomfortable,” she said of why there is no making out or fondling or anything on Kate Plus Date. “I’m not a teenager, clearly. There’s no other mom dating show out there; I have five daughters and three sons, and they need to be able to watch a respectful … “G-rated show. And it’s important for me to be an example to my kids.” Jon might disagree, however. Mady and Cara are 18 years old and can make their own choice to play a role on the program. But Jon said in December that Kate wanted to exploit ALL of her children for the show, including her 14-year old sextuplets as well. “I didn’t sign their work permits,” Jon said. “That’s why they can’t film. They came to me and I was like, ‘No, I’m not signing that.'”

A Houston pothead learned this lesson in the most unexpected and terrifying way possible. The story, according to ABC13 , goes as follows… “A concerned citizen called 311. They were trying to get into this house to smoke marijuana. We questioned them as to whether they were under the effects of the drugs or they actually saw a tiger. They saw a tiger in this building, this vacant house that’s obviously been abandoned for some time,” said Sgt. Jason Alderete, of HPD’s Major Offenders, Livestock Animal Cruelty Unit. Asking the “concerned citizen” was he high and did he imagine the tiger is funny AF. When authorities found the 350-pound animal she was in a cage far too small for her and there were several packages of meat strewn around. Handlers tranquilized her and got the tiger out the deplorable conditions, she will soon be transferred to a facility equipped to deal with exotic animals. Can you imagine you go to fie up a blunt and you see Shere Khan sitting in the corner!
