Been BOUJEE! Rubi Rose Talks Playboi Carti, Her Iconic Video Features And New Single “Trickin’”

Source: Christian Cody / Christian Cody Female Rapper Rubi Rose Drops New Single “Trickin’” ‘ If you’re not already up on her, we would love to introduce you to Rubi Rose. The stunning rapper, model and aspiring actress was featured on Playboi Carti’s “On Top” and in Migos’ “Bad & Boujee” video and is launching her own career as a rapper with her new song “Trickin’”. We spoke with Rose about her new song, relationship with Carti and how she came to be the face of “Bad and Boujee.” Check out the single and interview below:’ BOSSIP: How did you end up doing the song “On Top” with Playboi Carti? Rubi Rose: He used to be my mans, I had the song since like 2015 then in 2018 we met back up after awhile of not speaking and I told him I wanted to do music and he gave it to me. The song, which was released in September of 2018 hit a million streams on Soundcloud before the end of the year. BOSSIP: How did you end up in the “Bad & Boujee” video? Rubi Rose: There’s a casting director in Atlanta named Akini who’s been a friend [Atlstalent] and he used to hit me every week for a job and I’d always ask if I was gonna be the main girl or only girl in the video, so I turned down a lot of jobs. BEEN BOUJEE. Then he showed me the song “Bad and Boujee,” and I loved it and he told me I’d be the main one so I said ‘Esketit!’ Watch Rose in the video below: BOSSIP: Let’s talk about your new single “Trickin’” — do you think you will have any backlash over the messaging? Rubi Rose: I’m sure there’s people who talk about it but, everyone will always have something negative to say about everything. They hated Jesus — not to say I’m Jesus, but he was supposed to be the nicest person and someone still had beef with him! But ni**as be talking about toting pistols and murdering and degrading women, so me talking about a ni**a spending money on the lady he likes won’t hurt nobody…. Ni**as been giving bread to ladies since the beginning of time… This ain’t nothing new and honestly music is suppose to be fun, not always suppose to be taken seriously, I’m young and having fun with it. BOSSIP: Would you say the expectation is for a pretty woman to be tricked on? Rubi Rose: The real answer is yes. Beauty is monetary money, you don’t see a smoking hot girl with a broke guy. Usually the more smoking hot the girl is, the more wealthy the guy is. Beauty attracts money. Beauty is money. Check out Rubi Rose’s single below: BOSSIP: One last thing — do you really speak four languages? Rubi Rose: English, French, Tigrinya, Spanish — and finesse. ‘LHHMIAS2’ Recap: Shay Pops Off On Jojo For Breaking Girl Code

See the original post here:

Source: Thaddaeus McAdams / Getty Amara La Negra and Shay seem like they’d be polar opposites but tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Miami proves that theory wrong. The opening scene finds them chilling on the beach because they’re cool now, but we all know they’re really here to gossip. Shay brings the messy by asking what’s up with Amara La Negra and Bobby Lytes. Amara blocked Bobby on social media because he’s negative. Bobby found out and was talking smack about her because he was mad. You know how he does! But then Shay starts trashing Jojo too and claims Jojo was talking behind Amara’s back. We all know that Shay is pissed at Jojo for dating Pleasure P. You know, girl code stuff. Amara doesn’t even trip. She said she’s still going to rock with Jojo—at least for now because if it wasn’t in her face then it didn’t happen. As a matter of fact, Amara gets the bright idea to try to get Jojo and Shay on the same page so they can all be friends. This will go swimmingly. Pleasure P meets up with Khaotic and Young Hollywood to wax poetic about…whatever. Khaotic asks Pleasure P about when will Pretty Ricky be performing again. Pleasure P reiterates the same tired story—he and Baby Blue can’t get right so that’s that. Khaotic says the people want Pretty Ricky. But we’re all like, where? Then Khaotic asks Young Hollywood how Amara is doing. At this point, Young Hollywood is tired of trolls in his mentions for all of his ignorant behavior toward Amara last season so he’s trying to make peace now. He says he wishes nothing but the best for her and that he wants to apologize for his behavior so, he plans to invite her to some party that’s coming up. Later on, we find out that Amara accepts his invite and that all seems to be forgiven. They’re all good…for now. But we still don’t like him. Tuh! Trina learns that her assistant has been making shady moves behind her back. Not only has he been going around telling people that he’s her creative director, but he also tried to create a t-shirt line with her business manager. Trina doesn’t have a problem with her team pursuing their dreams, but the shadiness is not tolerated, and he wasn’t even doing good work with her, and he doesn’t even really care. Trina seizes this moment to give us Diamond Princess drama. She goes off on him and fires him, rightfully so. He tries to act like he’s unbothered, and informs her that he’s going to make his business moves and head to the top without her. Mmmmkay. Good luck with being on that blacklist. Trina got the juice. Let’s fast forward a bit. The episode concludes with that Amara La Negra facilitated peace talk between Jojo and Shay. How you think it went? Shay is hostile out the gate, which is typical. Jojo says she could care less that Shay is mad, especially because she feels like Shay betrayed her first by sharing some private information that she once shared, thinking Shay would keep it confidential. We don’t know what that info is but we all know Jojo probably would have dated Pleasure P whether she and Shay were still cool or not. Anyway, Shay and Jojo go in on each other and act like they’re going to fight but that good Love and Hip-Hop Miami security came through and shut that down. Meanwhile, Blue is there watching this entire thing, looking like a messy troll. And then Pleasure P appears (meanwhile, Blue and Amara are talking to Jojo, getting her side of the story). Shay confronts him about dating Jojo so he starts laying it on thick. Pleasure P apologizes for how he treated her and says he should have handled the situation better but then he gets extra and unnecessary when he asks her if she still loves him. Let’s reconvene next week. Same ratchet time, same ratchet channel. 90 Day Fiance Divorce: Ashley Filed Just Days Before Hospitalization

Just two days before Ashley Martson was found unresponsive at home and hospitalized , she filed for divorce from Jay Smith. The 90 Day Fiance couple had stayed together despite Jay’s cheating, but apparently not forever. Curiously, Ashley was not the only Season 6 star who filed for divorce on that exact same date. Late Wednesday morning, blogger John Yates shared  The court document from Cumberland County, Pennsylvania  The plaintiff is Ashley E Smith — Ashley Martson’s married name. The defendant is Conroy St. Christopher Smith — whom 90 Day Fiance all know as Jay. What is really interesting about this divorce filing is the date. This was filed on January the 11, 2019. Two things are significant about that date. As we previously reported, Ashley was hospitalized on January 13 — just two days later. She was found unresponsive at her home. During her battle with lupus, she had gone into kidney failure. Some can say that it’s fate or that she collapsed from a broken heart, but … again, she collapsed from kidney failure. There’s nothing romantic about lupus. The other interesting thing about the January 11 date is that she wasn’t the only 90 Day Fiance star to file for divorce on that date. Mere hours after Larissa Dos Santos Lima’s latest arrest, Colt Johnson filed for divorce . That would have also been on January 11. This followed an incident in which both Colt and Larissa accuse the other of domestic battery (there are a lot of disputed facts). In contrast, Ashley is believed to have filed for divorce because Jay downloaded Tinder and cheated on her just days after their wedding. That’s bad, but it’s not the same as Larissa’s scary bloody cry for help . Is this a huge coincidence? Maybe. But it has been reported that Ashley and Jay are operating under a non-disclosure agreement. Why? Because they are appearing on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? (Yes, the question mark in the title of that spin-off absolutely belongs there) Do you know who else was filming Happily Ever After? Larissa and Colt, as Larissa revealed more than once as she wailed on social media about Colt’s cheating. We wonder which dates exactly were covered by their Happily Ever After? contracts. Did Ashley and Colt have to wait before filing for divorce until that date in order to meet their contractual obligations? (If so, that would really feed into conspiracy theories, some voiced by Larissa herself, that Colt planned their horrifying fight in advance) Alternatively, did Ashley see that Colt had filed for divorce and just decide “f–k it, if they’re filing, I’m filing too.” Nobody wants to be the first to divorce, we suppose. Or, again, it could all be a coincidence. There is a chance that we will never see an explanation for the curious timing of divorce filings. That said, Ashley’s focus right now is probably on her health battle and of course on her children. Lupus is a serious and brutal illness that is treatable for some, but may claim the lives of others. Thanks to some generous 90 Day Fiance fans, Ashley was able to afford her surgery . We wish her happiness and health as she recovers from this frightening medical ordeal. We definitely prefer reality TV drama over real-life medical emergencies, thank you very much. Jay-Z and Beyoncé Use Decoys To Avoid The Paparazzi [Photos]

Continue reading here:

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are proving once again to be the finesse queen and king. Their secret to avoiding the press is low key genius. Page Six has seemingly cracked the code on how Hip-Hop’s power couple keeps things low key while they are out on the town. Last week Hov and Bey attended a surprise dinner for Kareem “Biggs” Burke’s 45th birthday at Avra Beverly Hills. The celebratory get together had an all star list of celebrities in the house including Diddy, N.O.R.E., former NBA player Al Harrington, Saint Jhn, Mr. Rugs and Emory “Vegas” Jones. While The Carters apparently stayed for the festivities they made sure to take another route for their exit. According to the gossip rag’s sources “they snuck out through the back as the other guests made their way to the front to distract the paparazzi.” Humbled by the turnout Burke took to his Instagram to give his sincere thanks. “The Love is real!! Thanks for the surprise @rodeoandmadison. Filled with family and friends. A Birthday with memories that will last s lifetime. #blackexcellence.” Photo: WENN.com

More Than Bailiff Bae: Here’s What You Should Know About ‘Divorce Court’s’ Nick Barrotta

Source: Nick Barrotta / Image via Nick Barrotta For your viewing pleasure… Nick Barrotta Talks Divorce Court, Upcoming Ventures Nick Barotta a.k.a Nicky B is more than just a pretty face. If you watch “Divorce Court ” then you should be familiar with the handsome bailiff that keeps plaintiffs and defendants in line alongside Judge Lynn Toler. Nick recently chatted with Bossip about his background, his acting, and his career goals. Tell us about your background. “I was a broadcast journalism major at Hofstra University. Being that Hofstra is near the city I took advantage of a lot of events and red carpets and I really fell in love with that side of the industry. From Hofstra I was able to get some great internships and early on I would sneak into parties and shake hands and build as many relationships as I can. I networked as much as possible and made a name for myself in New York.” How did you get started on Divorce Court? “The opportunity came across my desk, at first I wasn’t necessarily open to it because I thought I’d have to relocate to Atlanta. I wasn’t sure what the position was all about. Once I learned more about it and they brought up being able to work alongside Judge Lynn, I had to take the shot and fly down for the casting process. Someone I know who’s based in L.A. had a great relationship with some producers and one thing lead to another, and I made my way down there.” Source: Nick Barrotta / Image via Nick Barrotta What’s the craziest case you’ve ever heard on Divorce Court?  “There’s been a whole lot of crazy things! Everything from a guy coming in who had 19 children with 11 different women who couldn’t remember the name of all of his kids, or a couple coming in having met through these crazy situations whether it be a threesome or some crazy situation that sparked this love interest. Everybody comes in with a different angle which makes this show so exciting to this day. It’s entertainment on one end but all these questions on the back end. I’m cracking up half the time because I can’t believe what’s going on.” What’s it like working with Judge Lynn? She’s pretty tough. “I was a little nervous when I had my first one-on-one with her. She’s got that intimidating personality but to be honest she’s one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met. She is just lovely, even with the cast, the crew and how she carries herself every day. She’s just a true professional, on camera she doesn’t hold back. As much as she cares about every person that comes on the show, she still means business. She’s the best at what she does and she gives you the hard truth. I’ve seen her talk to these people off camera and get to know them a little more and follow up to see how they’re doing.” Source: Nick Barrotta / Image via Nick Barrotta How would you describe your brand? “I would consider myself an entertainment personality. Someone who is still learning about himself but motivated driven and passionate about the industry and the whole entire experience in itself. As much as I’ve done some hosting and modeling stuff, I wear a few different hats and I think that’s a good or bad thing depending on who you ask. I like to stay busy and keep things interesting. What’s next for you? “I’m in the middle of meeting with a bunch of agencies that I’m really excited about. I’m doing a lot of fun things, I work with a marketing agency so I’m constantly going to a lot of events, I’m heading down to Super Bowl and working some of the bigger parties down in Atlanta. For me its always been about building relationships and I’m excited about building up this momentum. “Divorce Court” has been a great platform for me to not only learn about the industry but learn about myself. I’m excited to hopefully get back there for next season to contine to work with Judge Lynn. It’s nice to be at Tyler Perry Studios, I actually just met him. It’s just been fun to be at Tyler Perry Studios and working on a show that’s been around for so long. Judge Lynn’s been around for 12 seasons, the show’s going on 21 seasons. I’m just excited to continue to be a part of it!” Instagram, Twitter, Facebook: @NickyBTV

Martha Hunt Topless of the Day

Martha Hunt was one of Taylor Swift’s paid partners, or friends, because even a cunt popstar who disgusts me on all levels needs to give the perception to the world that she’s tolerable and likeable and someone who people want to be around for more than just the press that came with being friends with Taylor Swift…. Martha Hunt is not an Oscar Nominee, but based on the people they nominate, she may one day be a nominee, provided that she has enough social media presence…that’s the world we live in…hire whoever can best market the shit to their feed because no one cares…. She’s also one of the last American women who isn’t 300 pounds, pre diabetic or diabetic, working as a model who the people can relate to because they are all fat too…..thanks to the sedentary life, processed food, sugar in everything…we are all fucking disgusting… This is some Martha Hunt clickbait that isn’t actually clickbait, since Martha Hunt drives zero traffic to anything. Chris Brown Released From Jail Following Rape Arrest

This morning, we reported on the shocking news that Chris Brown had been arrested in Paris i n connection with rape allegations. Now, it seems that authorities have released Brown on his own recognizance and informed him that he is free to return to the United States. The news comes as a shock to many, as the allegations against Brown are quite serious, and it was rumored that the case against him was a strong one. In addition to the rape allegations that led to the arrest of the singer and two associates, it was reported that Brown was facing drug charges, as authorities discovered a large amount of cocaine when he was taken into custody. Moments ago, however, TMZ broke the news that Brown will soon be headed home to the US. The controversial entertainer took to Instagram to address the situation just moments after being released from custody. “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE,” reads the latest post on his page. “FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” He added: “THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!” Brown also posted a graphic that reads simply: “THIS B!TCH LYIN'” The allegations are, of course, only the latest legal entanglement for Brown, who has been in trouble with the law for most of his 15 years in the spotlight. In 2009, Brown assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna , an incident that initially seemed as though it would land Brown behind bars and bring his music career to crashing halt. Neither proved to be the case, of course, and while Brown remained a wildly popular artist, he’s also proven consistently unable to refrain from engaging in appalling acts of violence. In 2014, Brown was imprisoned after he assaulted a photographer and was then kicked out of a court-ordered rehab facility for smashing a window on his mother’s car. There’s no word on yet on what will happen with Brown’s case from here, but if he was released without posting bond and permitted to return to the States, it seems unlikely that he’ll face any charges. We’ll have further updates on this developing situation as more information becomes available. View Slideshow: 29 Pics of Chris Brown Thuggin’ It So Hard: What a Goon!

Kevin Barnett, Comedian and Rel Co-Creator, Dies at 32

Kevin Barnett, a highly successful stand-up comedian who recently helped create the sitcom Rel, was found dead during a vacation last week in Mexico. He was 32 years old. The cause of Barnett’s death remains unknown at this time, but the tragic piece of news was confirmed via a Tweet from the official account of the Last Podcast Network, on which Barnett co-hosted the weekly series Roundtable of Gentlemen. “Dear Last Podcast family,” opens this sad message, which expounds with the awful details as follows: It’s with a heavy heart we inform you of the passing of Kevin Barnett. The joy he brought to our lives is the greatest gift we have ever received. Remind your friends you love them because you never know when you’ll see them again. We love you KB. We’ll share more details about what happened as they come in. Over the weekend, however, Barnett shared his last-ever social media post: a photo of himself on a sidewalk in Mexico, along with a caption that read: “In mexico. Bought myself a sweater. Been accused of appropriation several times. In my head I just gave a lady some money so I ain’t cold. Either way. Swag heavy. Mixtape comin.” Barnett wrote and contributed to a multitute of television shows and films, including Broad City, The Carmichael Show and The Heartbreak Kid. The sitcom Rel, which he co-created, premiered just a few months ago in September; it stars Get Out actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery and Sinbad. Barnett also had a few movies in the works as well, including one called The Wrong Missy with David Spade. “Our hearts are broken, as are those of everyone at Rel, at the news of Kevin Barnett’s passing. He was an incredibly funny, wildly talented man who had so much more to do and so many more stories to tell,” a rep for Twentieth Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment said in a statement. It concluded: “We send our thoughts and prayers to his friends and family during this difficult time.” Comedy Central also paid tribute to Barnett after the awful news broke, writing: “Kevin Barnett was an incredible comedian and writer, contributing to Broad City, the stand-up community and beyond. He’ll be greatly missed.” Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Chelsea Peretti, meanwhile, Tweeted, “i am so sad.” And Crashing‘s Jamie A. Lee added on Instagram: “A shocking, horrible loss. Kevin Barnett was a brilliant comedian and a great guy. RIP @fatboybarnett. This is so awful.” “I’m at a loss for words hearing about Kevin Barnett… We went to college together and both moved out to LA to pursue the dream,” actor and comedian King Bach wrote on Twitter, concluding: “Rest in paradise brother.” Then there was The Simpsons and Parks and Recreation producer Mike Scully, who worked on The Carmichael Show and said of Barnett: “Kevin Barnett was a great standup, but I knew him as a smart, funny, talented TV writer and just a really sweet guy who made the insanity of the late nights more fun. “Condolences to his family and friends. Can’t believe I’m writing this.” We concur. This is what Pete Davidson wrote of the tragedy: “The world lost a great one today. One of our comedy family members Kevin Barnett has tragically passed. I love Kevin. I’ve known him for nearly 10 years and he’s always been the sweetest and funniest. “Always had a smile on his face. Was one of the few that treated me like a comic even when I was just 16 years old. He always made me feel part of the group.” May Kevin Barnett rest in peace.
