If you ask some people Lil Wayne is one of the most talented and versatile artists that hip-hop has ever seen. If you ask others, he may be labeled inconsistent, one minute he’ll drop a metaphor that makes you pause the music and think, the next he’s going into way too much detail about how he likes to perform oral sex on women. Either way Lil Wayne has been one of the brightest stars in hip-hop since his appearance on ‘Back That Azz Up’ by Juvenile back in 1998. With that being said, we consider Weezy to be one of the top 25 rappers of all-time (maybe even higher) so we’d be remiss to not take a look back at Wayne’s career on his 36th birthday. Here are our picks for the top 10 Lil Wayne songs, in no particular order! 10. Lollipop We know what your’e thinking, why is this corny ass Lil Wayne song the first one listed? Well despite how corny it may be it was a radio smash hit spending a crazy six weeks at #1 on the Hip Hop Billboard charts. The song also stayed on Billboard charts for an astounding 26 weeks. No one could have guessed the success of this song when it was first released. As the first single to ‘The Carter 3’, it created an incredible amount of momentum for Wayne which culminated in the album going #1 on the Billboard albums chart and ended up selling over 1 million units in the first week and it can thank this international hit for a big portion of the sales. 9. A Milli From that same spectacular album came a more bar centric song in ‘A Milli’ which saw Wayne boasting about his incredible talent and comparing popping people with guns to popping Orville Redenbacher popcorn. 8. 6 Foot 7 Foot After the release of ‘The Carter 3’ most fans were wondering if Wayne could top what ended up being the best album of his career. He responded by dropping one of his best tracks yet in ‘6 Foot 7 Foot’. In the song he gave us one of the most memorable Lil Wayne bars of all-time in: ‘Real G’s move in silence like lasagna’. In addition to this he introduced us to the young and talented Cory Gunz. 7. Tha Block is Hot This song was Wayne’s first official single from his debut major label album, one could argue that without the success and longevity of this southern banger we wouldn’t have the Wayne we have today. 6. Go DJ When Wayne linked up with Mannie Fresh on his fourth album it introduced him to a sound that was more mainstream appealing while still being hard hitting like his songs that preceded it. It got Wayne into clubs all around the country and were positive it made some fans sure that Wayne was destined to be a star. You couldn’t ride around in a car at all without hearing this song in 2004. Rappers just don’t drop tracks like this anymore. 5. Georgia Bush Alright, that’s enough of album Wayne, real Lil Wayne fans will tell you that despite his album success, he’s actually at his best on his mixtapes. After the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, Wayne felt compelled to speak up for his native New Orleans which he felt was ignored by then President George W. Bush. In the song he criticizes the President and highlights just how hard New Orleans was hit. To this day its still one of the most heartfelt Weezy tracks. You can find this track on his collaborative mixtape with DJ Drama titled ‘Dedication 2’ which dropped in 2006. 4. Upgrade Da Drought 3 may be a top contender for one of the best Lil Wayne mixtapes, seriously go listen to it again, it’s fire! Its actually really hard to pick one stand out song from the tape but if we had to pick, it would be this track for sure. 3. Stuntin Stuntin was one of the first tracks where we got to hear Wayne and his protege, an unknown by the name of Drake, spit on a track together. It easily became an instant classic from his Dedication 3 mixtape. Oh, and this was the first mixtape to drop after Barack Obama was nominated President in 2008 as DJ Drama reminds us in the middle of the freakin song. 2. Swag Surfin As you can tell, on his mixtapes, Wayne made a habit of ruining other peoples songs by going harder on them than the original artist did. On ‘swag surfin’ Wayne literally spazzes with straight bars over the whole track. It’s honestly a classic Wayne track and isn’t even as popular as some of his other tracks. 1. Rap City Freestyle Okay, this last pick isn’t an actual song, its one of Wayne’s most popular freestyles on one of his appearances on the now debunked BET show ‘Rap City’. Photo by Eric Thayer/Getty Images The Texas Senator Faces Sexual Misconduct Allegations Another politician allegedly can’t keep their peen nestled in the privacy of their drawers. According to the American-Statesman , state Senator Charles Schwertner of Texas allegedly texted sexually explicit pics to a graduate student at The University of Texas. Schwertner reportedly met the student at an on-campus event this past summer. Schwertner is an alumni of UT and was invited to the event. According to two school officials with knowledge of the investigation, the student spoke with Schwertner saying she was interested in working in the Legislature. After the event, the two exchanged messages on LinkedIn before moving to text messages. Their messages were professional at first with the two discussing networking and career advice. But then, out of nowhere, Schwertner wrote, “I just really want to fu** you,” and he sent the student an image that appeared to be a pic of his genitals in the shower, according to a UT official who saw the exchange and the photo. The pic does not include Schwertner’s face. Did we mention, Schwertner has a wife and three kids. The student responded to Schwertner saying she thought he acted inappropriately, the officials said. Schwertner did not respond. The student then reported Schwertner’s actions to the school, which prompted an investigation. If the student’s allegations ring true, the university would consider banning Schwertner from campus says two officials. A third official said the university is also thinking about hiring outside legal counsel to investigate further. Through a spokesperson, Schwertner said he “categorically denies any knowledge of the accusations” and he intends to cooperate with UT’s investigation. Th UT officials will not reveal the identity of the student out of respect for her privacy and to honor their promise of confidentiality when she came forth. Student privacy laws also prohibit the university from sharing the student’s name. Meanwhile, Schwertner, a Republican, faces re-election on November 6. He will go up against Democrat runner Meg Walsh .

About five months after filing for divorce from Hank Baskett , the former Playmate has reportedly gotten involved with some new guy named Frankie Conti. Conti, according to E! News, a “young marketing manager” who met Wilkinson at a charity golf tournament in July. Tyler and Catelynn Baltierra are expecting their third baby. This would be a special occasion for any couple, but it's an especially meaningful one for the Teen Mom stars because Catelynn suffered a miscarriage several months ago. The trauma caused her to check into rehab in order to deal with mounting stres and anxiety – and it also put into question whether the couple could or would have any more chilren. But… amazing surprise! They announced Catelynn's pregnancy two weeks and have been flying high ever since. Below, meanwhile, Catelynn shares a bunch of special maternity photos snapped by Tyler in celebration of this “rainbow” baby, which is the term, given to a child conceived after a miscarriage. A3C 2018 In Atlanta Is One You Do NOT Want To Miss Atlanta has been the epicenter for rap music and hip-hop culture for nearly the past 20 years. So what better place to hold an all-emcompassing hip-hop conference/festival than the city that accounts for the most influential music in the industry right now? A3C (All Three Coasts) has been an Atlanta staple for several years now, getting bigger and better each go-round, but the 2018 version of the lauded event might just be the best EVER. One of the many, many things that people are looking forward to is Lil’ Wayne’s headlining set on Sunday, October 7th. The anticipation for Weezy F. Baby was already sky high, but now that it looks like this will be his first show after the release of The Carter V tomorrow, the city is gonna go apes#!t. In addition to Wayne, the entire Wu-Tang Clan is scheduled to perform in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their debut opus, Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers , AND a Dipset reunion show is on deck. Jim Jones, Juelz Santana AND Cam’ron. If you live in the Atlanta area and you miss this, then you are playing yourself and we hope your FOMO is acute. As lit as all that will be, concerts aren’t the only facet of A3C that will have people flocking to the city. The conference draws just as much excitement because the music industry’s biggest behind-the-scenes faces will also be in attendance. Folks like Ethiopia Habtemariam, president of Motown Records, industry vet and Translation CEO Steve Stoute, State of the Culture co-host and former Complex News personality Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins and our own Senior Content Director, Pop Culture, Janeé Bolden (if you ever wanted to meet someone from Bossip). Timothy Hiatt/Getty Images In anticipation of the return of some of our favorite shows, “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Med” BOSSIP recently took part in Chicago ONE day where we were able to interview producers and talent from all three shows and take part in tours of each set. Tonight marks the return of all three shows and it will be the first time that the franchises, all which were created by Dick Wolf, regularly air on the same night. When we asked Dick Wolf what it meant for him to have all three shows airing this Wednesday, he told us the news was “thrilling.” “I sincerely believe it’s going to work,” Wolf told BOSSIP. “I think that it’s an opportunity to have, not even crossovers, but characters just appearing on the other shows. When it’s on one night, it’s going to be even more impactful.” “The second episode is a triple crossover,” Wolf added. “On that nightl “Fire” is going first into “Med,” because of people injured in the fire and then into “PD.” To have the freedom to build the event, it’s wonderful.” For newcomers, like Annie Ilonzeh, who plays paramedic Emily Foster on “Chicago Fire” in their 7th season, filming the crossover episode was both overwhelming and exciting. “It was the biggest shock,” Ilonzeh told BOSSIP. ” I felt like a kid in the candy store.” Kara Kilmer, who plays Foster’s partner in paramedics, Sylvie Brett told BOSSIP that Ilonzeh fit right in with the cast, but was fun to watch during the crossover taping. “We had our first pull up and it was downtown with multiple units,” Kilmer described to BOSSIP. “I was driving the ambo and all of us were converging in front of this one iconic building and Annie was like ‘Oh, you guys really do this, I have to get my phone out.’” “I’m thinking they have stunt drivers and all this,” Ilonzeh chimed in. “I’m thinking there’s no way you can drive this big old truck and all the trucks and she’s swinging around corners, like, ‘Vroom!’ ‘I’m like… Annie, bring your eyes back to normal size. She impresses me so much on the day to day.” Ilonzeh wasn’t the only newcomer at Chicago Day. Singer/Actress Heather Headley is a recurring cast member on Season 4 of “Chicago Med.” She plays Gwen Garrett, a Harvard grad hired to watch the hospital’s bottom line, who ends up bumping heads with Sharon Goodwin (played by S. Epatha Merkerson). Headley spoke to BOSSIP about playing such a boss and going head to head with the amazing Merkerson. Elizabeth Sisson/NBC “I love it,” Headley told BOSSIP. “I’m really grateful to the writers that they weren’t scared of making her female, making her a black female and having a black female come against another strong black female in a very intelligent way.” “They both want what’s best for the hospital, they just come at it differently,” Headley continued. “My character is the brain book, like ‘this is how it’s supposed to be done, this is what’s best for the hospital, it is what it is,’ while Lady E – Epatha, I call her Lady E – is like the heart and blood, the soul of it, so she sees it from a different angle. It’s been fun to do it. To be strong. To not make her witchy with a capital B. Because that’s the first thing people think, because she’s a boss, but no, this is just how it’s done. I love it and I’m very grateful, they could have made her a male, easily, any kind of male, any kind of female, but I’m grateful that I’m her face. Hopefully give her not a bad name, to understand those rules are necessary. She’s a little bad but she’s fun.” Besides the addition of Ilonzeh to the “Chicago Fire” cast, viewers can expect sad moments as the cast mourns the death of Dushon Monique Brown, who passed away last March.
