Source: Nicky Nelson/WENN.com / WENN Vince Staples let the world know that Ray J is a leader within the culture and it appears he’s using his status to help up his big homie. Reports say that the singer and entrepreneur is angling for a meeting with President Donald Trump in an attempt to pardon former Death Row Records boss, Suge Knight . Daily Mail exclusively reports : Sources tell DailyMailTV the 38-year-old Love & Hip Hop star has been lobbying for Trump to pardon rapper and friend Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, who was convicted of manslaughter in 2018. Knight, 54, was sentenced to 28 years behind bars for injuring Cle Sloan and killing Terry Carter after running over both men at a burger drive-thru in January 2015. He was originally facing 11 years in prison, but his sentence was later doubled under California’s three-strikes law based on his prior convictions. An additional six years was also added for using a vehicle as a deadly weapon in a ‘serious and violent’ felony. A source close to the singer says he is now hoping the president will pardon Knight for his crimes because he believes his friend has learned from his mistakes and is ready to turn over a new leaf. I mean this IS Ray J we’re talking about, so maybe he’ll have the touch to get Knight sprung from the joint. — Photo: WENN

Jade Cline Gets Roasted By Teen Mom Fans: You’re Selling Sex, Just Like Farrah!

Jade Cline is still relatively new to the world of Teen Mom stardom. After starring in a single season of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, Cline was selected to replace Jenelle Evans on Teen Mom 2 after Evans was finally fired. So while, she’s been in the spotlight for a couple years, Jade just experienced a major boost to her public profile. Going from a first-year spinoff to a popular, long-running series like Teen Mom 2 is like being called up to the majors. As a result, Jade is making more money, and she’s more popular than ever on social media. That may sound like an unimportant side effect of fame, but the increased following brings with it the opportunity to make big bucks from sponsored content. Unfortunately, it also means Jade has more haters than ever before. And these days, she’s being compared to one of the most reviled Teen Moms of all time — Farrah Abraham. During her time on Teen Mom OG, Farrah continued to perform in online sex shows , a decision that eventually got her fired from the show. (In reality, she was probably canned because producers were sick of being abused by her, but the Cam Soda partnership provided a convenient excuse.) Now, Jade is being accused of following in Farrah’s footsteps by partnering with an adult toy company. On Thursday, Cline invited her fans to enter a giveaway for a chance to win three free vibrators. “Hey guys! I’ll be partnering with [Vush] this week to put together an amazing giveaway bundle to one of my followers! Stay tuned! Will be posting the giveaway and how to enter this week on my page,”  Cline later offered specifics — along with the photo below, in which she can be seen showing off Vush’s wares. “3x Vibrator bundles from Vush to 3 lucky people in the comment section,” Jade wrote. “Each bundle includes The Empress, Your Majesty and The Rose! ($400 value per bundle).” For reasons that aren’t entirely clear, this promotion left some of Jade’s followers deeply irritated. “The next Farrah,” wrote one commenter. “I actually thought u were one of the good moms…” another remarked. “Wtf! Another Farrah in the making!” another echoed. “Y’all really have to come up with better insults,” Cline replied. She’s right about that. For one, there’s a major difference between what Farrah did (making a career in the adult film business and falsely claiming that her debut feature was a privately-filmed “sex tape”) and what Jade is doing — which is just a slight variation on what most reality stars do on their social media pages. From the start, Jade was upfront about the whole thing. Rather than attempt to Trojan Horse in ad into what appears to be a regular post, she stated at the outset that she’s promoting products for Vush. There’s no sneakiness involved, so is it really just the nature of the products that has people pissed off? WTF? Is Jade starring on Teen Mom 2 or Counting On? Fortunately, Cline has received a good deal of support from fans who aren’t embarrassing prudes. “People act like they have never seen a sex toy before,” one fan remarked. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. View Slideshow: Jade Cline vs. Ashley Jones: Brawl Breaks Out at Teen Mom 2 Reunion!

Selena Gomez Reconciles With Ex-Friend Who Donated Kidney

On the list of good deeds that leave the recipient in your debt for the rest of their life, donating an organ is up there with pulling someone out of quicksand or letting them use your phone charger when you’re under 50 percent. So many fans were understandably shocked when Selena Gomez cut ties with Francia Raisa , the longtime friend who gave Gomez one of her kidneys. Selena suffers from lupus and a number of other health issues. She gushed that Raisa “saved [her] life” following the procedure, but shortly thereafter, the friends stopped speaking and unfollowed one another on social media. Rumors about the cause of Selena and Francia’s split circulated for months. Some of them were absurd, such as the claim that Gomez and Raisa fought over Justin Bieber . Others seemed to have more of a basis in reality — particularly the claim that Francia was upset by the fact that Selena was still drinking despite her myriad health issues. Whatever the case, it seems Selena and Francia have officially put their differences behind them. On Thursday, Selena donned a costume to the premiere of Frozen 2 with her 5-year-old sister, Gracie. Naturally, the singer documented the occasion for her Instagram followers: “Hope I’m officially the best big sissy ever now,” Gomez captioned the pic. “She was LIVING her best life!! Frozen 2 was amazing!!!”  For obvious reasons, the pic attracted many enthusiastic comments, including one from Raisa: “Omg! My heart right now,” Francia wrote. Unintentionally, the Grown-ish actress overshadowed the original post with that subtle indication that she and Selena have buried the hatchet. “Friends again, I’m gonna cry,” wrote one fan. Interestingly, the reconciliation comes on the heels of news that Selena has quit drinking at the advice of doctors and loved ones. While neither party has said as much, several sources have confirmed that Gomez’s boozing was at the heart of her feud with Raisa. “[Raisa] cares about her and she loves her,” an insider told Radar Online. “She told her that she was just really making some unhealthy choices, and that she was concerned for her.” The source says that while Francia never judged Selena, she felt she could not stand idly by and watch her friend make making “unhealthy” choices that might endanger her life. It’s unlikely that either Francia or Selena will offer a public explanation, but the important thing is that they’re friends once again.

Exclusive: 13-Year-Old Star Kyliegh Curran Gets Her “Shine” On In “Doctor Sleep”

Source: Photo by GP Images/Getty Images for Warner Bros. Canad Exclusive Kyliegh Curran Interview At only 13, “Doctor Sleep” star Kyliegh Curran is set to become an instant Horror icon with her dazzling performance in the long-awaited, highly anticipated sequel to Stephen King’s quintessential classic “The Shining.” She plays adorably spunky wonder kid “Abra Stone” who “shines” like the all-grown-up-and-liquored-up “Danny Torrance” (Ewan McGregor) who’s desperate to piece together his shattered life years after his psychotic pop went axe-crazy at the Stanley Hotel. Together, they battle a sinister (and strangely snazzy) evil in mind-bending scenes carried entirely by our new fave 8th grader who gushed about her spooky debut in a cackle-filled interview at the very creepy and very haunted Highland Inn in midtown Atlanta. (But first, check out the trailer if you haven’t already) Did you see the original (“The Shining”)? “Yes, four times!” How did that go? Well, I watched the first time right before the call back, actually, and I remember (laughs) my mom said, ‘No! I am not going to watch that with you’ and I was hiding behind my dad’s back the whole time because the suspense was just so sickening because you are just waiting for the first jump scare — and then BANG! When the title card hits you, it’s like a drug. Then the second time was at a special showing, the third time was for fun with my best friend Jerry, and then the fourth time was at a movie theater with my family. Really? This movie is not funny (nervous laugh) “Well, in some moments it can be so scary that you have to laugh. If you don’t laugh, then you will cry.” This movie is old, though. It’s older than both of us. So, what’s the difference between watching it and knowing it’s old versus making the movie that you’re making now. The graphics… it’s kind of grainy . “Well I drew a lot from both, mostly Wendy’s character and young Jenny. And then a lot from the book — mostly from the book because this is a standalone film and it’s just the adaptation of the book, but yea, I drew a lot from Wendy’s character definitely and watching it really helped me out.” You said you auditioned. How did that go? Bring me to the beginning? “Well, I was fresh out of summer camp and I got this 10-page long, thick, thick, thick audition and I barely had any time to get it done. So, I wasn’t even off-book. We just taped it and sent it in and I was not very confident. I did not think I was gonna get a call back. Then a month later I got a call back! And I spent two days with my acting coach perfecting the character we drew as much as we could. But, it was a pretty big script so we did the best we could. We sent it in. I felt much better about it and a week later Mr. Mike, the director, calls my mom and says ‘Hey! We would love Kyleigh to come and read with Mr. Ewan.’ Oh my gosh, the nerves just started building up and building up and building up like a tower, and I was doing this weird twitch thing. Oh, it was so nerve-racking! But when I walked in to the room, all my nerves just melted away because the people were so kind and chill and just laid back. Ugh, they’re so amazing and I read with Mr. Ewan and I hoped that what I did was enough to book the role. And, I was sitting in school one day — my mom had been working in the same school as me — and she came knocking on the door and my teacher said ‘Hey, your mom’s at the door!’ Oh, I got so nervous. I said to myself ‘Ok, this is a yes or a no. This is very nerve-racking but don’t fret.’ And so I walked out and my mom said ‘Kylie, you’re gonna be in the movie!’ And we were jumping all over the place, screaming ‘Oh my gosh, yes!’ And my classmates were just pressed up against the window, like ‘What is she doing?’ And when I walked back I had messy hair, my face was all red, I was sweating and I couldn’t tell anyone. I felt so proud of myself in that moment. I was like ‘Finally, you waited for this for so long and your hard work has paid off. Yay!” For so long? You’re only 13. “Well, since I was 7. I’d been auditioning and auditioning and it’s really a test to your confidence and your patience and self-esteem when you keep getting ‘no,’ getting so close in an audition and then losing it. It’s really just kind of depressing. But, then, once you book something it’s like this wave of relief and you feel so much better.” I feel it. I’m excited. I’m about to go audition for something… I don’t know what it’s going to be. So, working with Mr. Ewan, how was that? “He’s amazing. He’s like a big teddy bear. He’s so great to talk to and he’s a great listener and I really enjoyed working with him. Watching him work is fascinating, how he just takes on his character so seamlessly. It’s amazing. And, he’s also very good at chess. I would not challenge him in chess.” What did you learn from him? What’s the #1 thing? “Well, his guidance was probably watching him, definitely mirroring how he acts, and building a relationship out of the characters really helped us build a relationship WITH our characters — how our chemistry worked.” What was the spookiest part about making this? Were you actually ever scared making this? “No. I was mostly just excited. I kept living in the moment, kept thinking ‘Wow, this is super exciting. This is so amazing.’ But I also had a little bit of a tether, so I was able to pull myself back down to my character and not completely freak out. But, yeah, it wasn’t very scary. It was more of an exciting experience.” It’s funny that you say that because this movie is — “Terrifying. Yeah.” Now, Stephen King. Did you read the book? “Yes.” And how did that go? “Oh it was disturbing. I had nightmares for days. But I was able to just leave it at the door, drop it, and just keep working. I’m really happy I did because now I’ve got a grip on how horribly evil the True Knot are and how Abra projects her energy against them, how she feels about them, and that really helped me with chemistry with everyone and how Abra is. So, I’m very happy that I read the book but I’m also very upset that I did (laughs).” If you’re going to do roles in the future, would you read the book or would you just go off of the script. “It depends on what the book is about. If it’s something super iconic, then I’ve gotta read the book. If it’s something that maybe it’s more a new movie and it’s slightly off a book, then I’d probably just go off the script so I don’t completely go off the book. And, if it’s a remake of an old movie, I probably wouldn’t watch the old movie so I wouldn’t copy or mirror the person I’m playing.” And as far as scary movies, you said your mom didn’t want to watch “The Shining” with you, so do you watch scary movies like that? “Yes! I love Jordan Peele! He’s a genius! I love Horror movies. I watched a lot of the old Stephen King ones. I watched “Carrie,” I watched “Pet Sematary,” “The Shining.” “Carrie” was, whew, that was freaky. “Pet Sematary,” the newer one was pretty disturbing.” You’re only 13 though… (Laughs). I couldn’t even watch these movies until I was 17. What else? Was that it? “There’s a lot of things I can’t even remember. Oh, It! I love It so much. My favorite Stephen King movies, those were amazing.” You’re not scared of clowns? “Nope. They’re funny. Well, I mean I did not appreciate Pennywise eating children. So that was definitely… I did not like that, no one would like that. But when he was shaking his head around I couldn’t stop thinking about my sisters or me shaking my head around in white face paint and a red nose like ‘bahhhh!’ It was too funny to me. But, it was also so disturbing.” You’re about to be a star. How does that feel? Your classmates know that you’re in the movie now. “Well, I’m homeschooled. But I never really thought about being a star or anything. I just thought ‘Wow this is a really cool experience. I’m in a movie. This is super cool. This is super exciting.” It hasn’t hit you yet? “No, not really. It hadn’t hit me that this was such a huge movie until August and now I’m super nervous, but being a star never really hit my head.” OK, I’ll check back in two weeks. “Well, we’ll see (laughs).” If you could use your power in real life, would you use it for good or bad? “For both. I would cast hexes and be a little vengeful, sometimes, towards my sister’s enemies and then towards my enemies maybe. And then for good, I would eradicate all single-use plastics and multiple things. Just grab them all in a ball and incinerate them.” — “Doctor Sleep” scares its way into theaters this weekend!

You Can’t Be Serious: White Restaurant Owner Only Sentenced To 10 Years For Enslaving, Burning, And Beating Mentally Ill Black “Employee”

Source: Mint Images / Getty White Restaurant Owner Only Sentenced 10 Years For Enslaving Black Man We’re warning you now, this story is going to REALLY piss you off. According to CNN , the manager of a South Carolina restaurant, Bobby Paul Edwards, has been sentenced to only ten years in prison for torturing and enslaving a mentally ill Black man named John Christopher Smith for, wait for it, SEVENTEEN YEARS! Smith began washing dishes at J and J Cafeteria in Conway, South Cack as a 12-year-old boy, when Edwards took over as manager, his life turned into a living hell. Edwards yelled racial epithets at Smith, beat him with a belt, hit him with pots and pans, and burned him with scalding hot tongs to “make him work faster”. In a WPDE interview, Smith says he was afraid to lose his job so he did whatever Smith told him, including being confined to a back room whenever his family would come into the restaurant. “I wanted to get out of there a long time ago. But I didn’t have nobody I could go to,” he said. He said he was denied access even to his own family. “I couldn’t go anywhere. I couldn’t see none of my family so that was that,” he said. “That’s the main basic thing I wanted to see was my mom come see me. I couldn’t see my mom…and I couldn’t talk to nobody.” Edwards is almost 40-years-old now and he would have never been freed from his slavery if not for a customer who called police after noticing a bevy of scars on his hands and body as he brought them their food. “It is almost inconceivable that instances of forced labor endure in this country to this day — a century and a half after the Emancipation Proclamation,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband of the Civil Rights Division. “The Department of Justice will continue to investigate, prosecute, and convict human traffickers involved in forced labor, seeking justice on behalf of their victims.” In a press release, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that Edwards was sentenced to a decade in prison FOR SLAVERY and forced to pay Mr. Smith $272,952.96 in restitution. Only. Ten. Years. FOR SLAVERY. We hate it here.

“T he View” might be known for their in-fighting but on this day they united in tearing a part Donnie Jr. The lies and tomfoolery were unacceptable to Whoopi Goldberg , Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Abby Huntsman and  Meghan McCain . See Also: Ilhan Omar Reacts To Meghan McCain’s White Tears Donnie Jr.’s hissy fit started immediately when Abby Huntsman grilled him on releasing the whistleblower’s name who exposed 45’s now infamous Ukraine conversation. Huntsman said, “The whole point of releasing a name is to intimidate someone, to threaten someone, and to scare other people from coming out. That’s something that dictators do … that’s not what America does. That’s not what we do.” Donnie tried to defend himself by saying the whistleblower’s name was already out there. Hostin, a former federal prosecutor,  turned to his wife and said, “Kimberly, you’re a lawyer, we have known each other, you’re a former prosecutor. Did you advise your boyfriend that it is a federal crime to out a whistleblower?” Trump Jr. tried to say it wasn’t accurate. Hostin clapped back with, “My law degree says it is,” she said. See the exchange below: See the exchange below: Trump Jr. also tried to come for Behar saying she was once in “blackface,” which made Goldberg jump in. “Being black, I recognize blackface . This I can say. I know it when I see it,” Goldberg said. “Now that you’ve broken this piece of ice, because I guess this is the fight you wanted, are you questioning my character? I didn’t question anybody, I simply said that when you’re talking about your father taking more heat than anyone else [as president], that is not so.” See below: McCain also went in on Trump Jr, about the topic of character. “ Character in politics is important, I believe,” McCain began. “It was how I was raised. It’s the way I view the lens of America, and I understand what you’re saying about policy, but when you’re talking about attacking Gold Star families, who’ve given the ultimate sacrifice more than any of us in this room have given, and you put them through pain, does it make you feel like it was worth it?” Trump Jr. struggled to defend his father attacking McCain’s father, especially when he was fighting cancer. He stressed that he believes his father “ has great character.” A clear disaster. Jax Taylor to Be Fired From Vanderpump Rules For Homophobic Tweets?

Remember when Jax Taylor claimed to be a changed man  who had left behind the horrible, sociopathic behavior that defined the first 40 years of his life? Well, you may want to sit down for this one — it turns out the lifelong pathological liar was once again completely full of sh-t! A premiere date was announced today for Vanderpump Rules Season 8, and many fans are hoping the episodes debuting on January 7 will be Jax’s last. If you follow him on Twitter, you’re probably aware that Jax has a bit of a short temper. And by that we mean the man absolutely fills his diaper every time he’s confronted with even the most mild criticism.’ Usually, his reaction is to block whoever hurt his feel-feels and then whine to an audience of sycophants, frequently reminding his followers that they’re next on the blocklist, should they step out of line. However, this was the rare occasion in which Jax decided to actually engage with someone who committed the unforgivable sin of expressing an opinion on social media. And hoo, boy … did it turn ugly in a hurry. Interestingly, Taylor was the instigator, and when on the attack against a user named @47_mike because the guy expressed his distaste for a hockey jersey. “Does @adidashockey need some designers?” Mike tweeted. “Funny my wife said the same thing about your profile pice… Mike,”  From there, Jax escalated the situation with some truly homophobic nonsense, suggesting that his “hater” is a closeted gay man, as though that’s some sort of devastating insult: “Your type of guy who is in a frat and claims he loves women, but secretly is bending over his roommate ‘chadd’ while wearing boat shoes,” Taylor tweeted, ironically outing himself as a 40-year-old-ass man who doesn’t understand the difference between “your” and “you’re.” “20 bucks says I hit the nail on the head,” he added. As you can see, when  @47_Mike encouraged Jax to pipe down, Taylor doubled-down on the homophobia. “No frats. Again, you’re looking silly with the anti-LGBTQ tweets in 2019,” Mike replied. “My fiancee and I are getting married on our ninth anniversary next year. It’s all good over here homie. You should say less because you have a bigger audience and you look silly with the hate.” “Buddy I look a lot better than you right now. Feel sorry for that fiance of yours, how the hell did you get a female to be your beard. Poor girl,” Jax-ass tweeted back. “[Brittany Cartwright] feels bad you have a beard. And I am not talking about facial hair. Clearly,” Taylor ranted on. Twitter users were quick to respond to Taylor’s vile bigotry: “Your homophobic rant is horrible,” one person tweeted. “Pure trash. Shame on someone ‘working’ at a bar in the WeHo area spreading Anti-LGBTQ hate. Hypocrisy at its finest,” another wrote. “I have no tolerance for H8,” a third viewer tweeted. “Jax and Brittany should not be allowed to be [on Vanderpump Rules]. Lisa Vanderpump is a huge ally for the LGBT [community]. I also am a huge supporter.” As many have pointed out, this is an important moment in Lisa Vanderpump’s career as a self-proclaimed activist. Many have called her commitment to the LGBTQ+ community into question and argued that she’s done little deserve her status as an ally. Earlier this year, Vanderpump cast member Billie Lee quit the show amid controversy, claiming that as a trans woman, she encountered bigotry from the show’s cast and audience. Lisa was conspicuously silent on the matter. Hopefully, she’ll be more vocal on this latest matter. And hopefully, Jax will finally be held responsible for his foolishness.
