James Charles Responds to Tati Westbrook: I’m Sister Sorry!

If you don't find joy in keeping up with YouTube gossip … well, sorry. But the drama that's been going on between James Charles and Tati Westbrook is what a whole, whole lot of people are talking about, and so here we are. So, OK, James and Tati are both beauty gurus on YouTube, right? Tati has been in the game for years, and James has been around for a fraction of that time, but he's had unbelievable success. And it turns out that he has Tati to thank for that. The drama started when James shared an ad for SugarBearHair vitamins after he claimed they helped him out with security at Coachella, and Tati reacted very negatively to that. She was upset because she has her own line of vitamins, Halo Beauty, and since she and James have been so close for so long, for him to promote her main competitor was a bit of a betrayal. She literally cried about the situation in her Instagram story, and a lot of people thought she was being dramatic. Not so much. Yesterday, she released a 43-minute video titled “BYE SISTER …” in which she pretty much destroyed him, but in a nice way. In the video, she revealed that she mentored James at the very beginning of his career, and that she and her husband helped him get million-dollar deals when no one was taking him seriously. She considered him to be family, and they were so close that she had him do her makeup at her wedding. As time went on, certain things about him began to bother her, and she realized that his ego was getting out of control. She also had a big problem with the way he treats potential romantic partners. That's a whole different story, but just to get a taste of it, Tati recalled how he went out to dinner with her and her family and friends for her birthday, and he said very explicit things about what he wanted to do to their waiter. When she told him he was straight, James said “It doesn't matter, I'm a celebrity.” Tati said that she tried to help James time and time again and steer him in the right direction, but he would never listen, and when he promoted a rival company, that was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. And after learning just how much she and her husband helped him, it's definitely understandable that she no longer wants to be involved with him. The thing is that Tati is pretty revered in the beauty community, and she's very trustworthy, so it was easy to believe everything that she said. And James started hemorrhaging subscribers — as of now, he's lost well over a million. So what else was there for him to do but an apology video? You can watch the full video at the end of this post, but the gist of it is that he's really, really sorry. After losing so many subscribers, why wouldn't he be? He says that most of his career so far “has been about me making mistakes and trying to learn and grow from them, and I haven't always done the best job with that.” He's sad that he ruined a relationship that was so important to him, “and throughout all of this what sucks the most is that there's nothing I can say or do to ever earn that friendship or trust back.” Oh, and about all that creepy, manipulative stuff about getting with guys? He essentially says that he just wishes he never talked about it at all on social media, and that Tati did warn him he'd get into trouble over boys on day. So he's not sorry for his behavior, only sorry that he's getting called out for it. He finishes the video by admitting that “A lot of times when I've tried to address things in the past I've acted out of impulse and I've gone off and tried to pull receipts or facts or screenshots and played the victim, and I'm not doing that today.” It's just not a great apology video. It's not as bad as Laura Lee's apology from last year , but it's still not good. After everything we've seen from him, it's hard to believe he's sincere here, and if you take one look at the comments on the video, it's clear that everyone else agrees. Is this the end of James Charles? Probably not. But still, it's certainly a bad look. Check out his full apology here:

112’s Slim Sues Ex Band Mates Q & Deron For False Advertising For Profiting Off Of Group’s Name (Exclusive)

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty “112s” Slim Said Ex-Band Members Have No Right To Use Group’s Name To Make Music & Perform They once had a double platinum debut album, worked with hip hop royalty like the Notorious BIG and were the toast of the Atlanta club scene. But the current situation among the former band members of the 90s group 112 is now so fractious following their 2017 breakup that lead singer Slim has sued his fellow crooners for allegedly dishonestly cashing in on the group’s moniker. That’s according to a lawsuit from Slim’s company, M3 Productions Inc., which sued both Deron and Q for trademark infringement, false advertising, deceptive trade practices and more, claiming the men were using the name “112” to make music, book appearances and perform when Slim owns the rights through the Federal Trademark Office, according to the complaint, which was obtained by BOSSIP. “It breaks my heart to have to engage in a lengthy, costly legal battle against the former members of the group,” Slim told BOSSIP exclusively. “However, countless promoters and agencies have notified us that Q and Daron, and their handlers, keep advertising the ‘112’ Name, despite knowing we own the mark and have humbly asked them to stop using it.” Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty Slim’s lawyer James Walker said the situation was as if The Jackson Five’s Tito and Jackie Jackson tried to run off and do shows without lead singer Michael. Q “doesn’t seem to understand that he was the Tito of the group and Slim is the lead singer and owner of the mark – so move on with your career and respect the law and respect (Slim) as the owner,” Walker told BOSSIP. “We should not be in court, but for the continued false advertising, breach, infringement and bad faith of the defendants in using this mark on their advertisements.” Slim said in court papers that Q and Deron are well aware that he owns the trademark, and despite Walker sending them a cease and desist letter, the men still continue to book work under the name “112.” He said that his former bandmates use of the name “112” has caused confusion among fans, who wrongly assume that their work is actually associated with the real “112,” causing Slim irreparable harm. Slim wants the judge to force Q and Deron to stop using “112” when they perform shows, make music or attend paid appearances, his complaint states. He also wants a full accounting of the revenues Deron and Q made by using “112” as well as money damages. Source: Johnny Louis / Getty Neither Q nor Deron had responded to Slim’s complaint as of May 6, but Q may not have responded because he just filed for bankruptcy, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. Walker, Slim’s lawyer, said neither he nor his client wished any financial hardships on Q, but said that he hopes the bankruptcy will mean that Q will be willing to meet with them and settle their dispute. “He would not be filing this (bankruptcy), had his advisors met with us and listened,” Walker told BOSSIP. “We pray that part works out, but we will move aggressively in the litigation to protect Mr. Scandrick (“Slim”).”

‘LHHATLS8’ Recap: Issa Couples Trip Straight Out Of A Tyler Perry Drama

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta takes a page straight out of Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married . We start with the crew headed to a cabin in the woods for Kirk and Rasheeda’s couples trip. Guests include, BK and Sierra, Scrappy and Bambi, Joc and Kendra, and Karlie Redd decide to be Shekinah’s plus one because what would a couples trip be without the random singles attached for drama and comic relief, right? Anyway, Karlie’s engagement is still “off,” so she and Shekinah are the single girls on the trip. The group splits up into two buses, one with men, one with women and this is where the drama starts. At some point, Karlie mentions to Kendra that she and Joc had some touchy, feely, kissy moments last year. She added that they got a hotel room last year and “his peen was out” (no mention of how it got out or why it was out and why they got a hotel room) and he begged her to have sex but she said no. Mind you, Kendra and Joc are supposed to have been together for three years or something like that, and apparently, Joc lied about what he and Karlie had going on. Meanwhile, on the guys’ bus, BK says he’s getting Sierra a ring made. Then on the girls’ bus Sierra says that she and BK are in a good place but of course, Karlie does the carrier pigeon thing again. She tells Sierra that “she doesn’t want to rain on her parade” but then rains on her parade by talking about how she got a text from Pooh claiming that BK sent some inappropriate text messages to her while they were on a group trip to Cancun. So now Sierra is irritated. But why was Pooh texting Karlie if they don’t even like each other? Sierra actually does confront BK on this trip about what Karlie Redd told her. BK denied the context of the convo (it was innocent and actually about his relationship with Sierra) and apologized to Sierra but she remained fake mad. Now, let’s fast forward a bit. We’re at a point on the trip where Karlie is practicing for her sex coach studies by giving the group a makeshift workshop by doing a demo of some toys. Kirk stirs the pot by asking her to demo the thing, you know, thee sex position that Joc was raving about on the radio not long ago. That’s enough to set Kendra off. She pulls Joc aside for a private convo to bring up what Karlie told her. Joc says it’s not true, apologizes, and says that he got Kendra’s name tatted on his peen so if Karlie had really seen it within the past year then she would have seen that. That seems to be enough for Kendra for now, kinda sorta, but later on it comes back up again. She brings it up to Bambi, who actually gives her some good advice. Basically, Kendra and Joc need to get on the same page or Kendra needs to leave if that’s what she feels she needs to do. Later on, Karlie’s ex-fiance, Mo, shows up to the retreat and tries to win her back. He states his about how he’s wrong for withholding information from her but doubles down on the fact that he didn’t know about the baby and that he messed with the woman before her. Karlie puts on a show and starts giving us theatrics about how he betrayed her trust and that she’s tired of how he doesn’t support her or her career…it’s so extra. This is the same man that just a few weeks ago she was trying to convince us that he was the one and how he was different from the others, for real, for real, so when did he stop being supportive? Anyway, this doesn’t go well and Mo decides to bounce. Smart man. Next, we find the rest of the couples back in the cabin with Rasheeda and Kirk playing counselors. They want to try to tackle some of the dysfunction by giving the couples wisdom about how to communicate and encouraging them to work on themselves and not let outside forces [*cough] messy birds like Karlie [*cough] split them up. Karlie, who isn’t with the couples right now, has been cited as the source of a lot of the drama on the trip. Duh! But anyway, Rasheeda even opens up and says that she has also been guilty of infidelity in her relationship with Kirk. We don’t learn what exactly happened on Rasheeda’s part other than that “her situation was a very long time ago, early in her and Kirk’s relationship.” Everyone is shocked and Kirk is sitting there with a smug look on his face. I guess this is supposed to be Rasheeda trying to keep Kirk from looking like the bad guy. But anyway, no thanks for the marriage advice. Or am I bugging? Do you want marriage advice from Rasheeda and Kirk? Next, Sierra, who is constantly irritated with BK for being shady, to admit that she “did something” with some guy who slid in her DM’s that he questioned her about after searching her phone. She does this because “wants to keep it real.” She apologizes and we end on that note. Complex did some digging and came up with a news piece treasure for fans of the Detroit Rapper. Dan recently shared a sneak peak look at his upcoming Highsnobiety story . This is the easiest one because you got someone like him you can put your trust into.” The story points out that ATCQ’s music has been in his DNA since being young as that was his father’s favorite group. A teen from Georgia is turning his tragedy into triumph and is living proof that with hard work and perseverance it’s possible to beat the odds. According to Inside Edition Tre Lawson —a track star who was paralyzed after a car accident—is aiming to get back to running. Tre Lawson is on a mission to run again — and hopefully inspire others in the process https://t.co/9xf5x2SyWH — News4JAX (@wjxt4) April 20, 2019 At one point Lawson, who attended Westside High School, was one of the top track athletes in the country, but things took a tragic turn in 2017. After winning a track meet, he got into a car with a group of friends and the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went off the road and crashed. Lawson suffered serious injuries including damage done to his head, abdomen, and spinal cord. He woke up in the hospital nearly a month after the accident occurred. “It was a huge depressing moment. I thought maybe this is the last time I’ll be able to run again, my career is over. I was wondering if the coaches would still be interested in me even if I recover in due time,” he told the news outlet. “Looking at the four walls of the hospital room, you become depressed really quickly.” Although it took a while for Lawson to come to terms with what had happened, he ultimately decided he wouldn’t let his circumstances defeat him. He was motivated to get back on the track. He went through a rigorous rehabilitation program at the Shepherd Center based in Atlanta. Day after day Lawson went hard with his strength training so that he wouldn’t have to be confined to a wheelchair. He recently got back on the track at his high school with a walker and was able to walk 200 meters in 30 minutes. He says that the accident has inspired him to focus on the positive aspects of life. “Every day isn’t a sunny day. You have to have rain in order to have a rainbow some days.” Lawson has launched his own nonprofit organization for patients at the Shepherd Center. SEE ALSO: T.I. Angela Delgado Williams said Mally Mall trafficked her around the country to engage in the sex trade for four years and called the music producer “probably one of the biggest traffickers of all time.” “A lot of people are lured in,” Williams said. Nevada “Is a hub for sex trafficking and Jamal (Mally Mall) is one of the front men of one of the sex trade in Las Vegas.” Williams said Mally Mall – whose real name is Jamal Rashid – used his connections in the industry to entice and manipulate females into working for him. She said Mally financed his career in the music business through the proceeds from prostitution and spent most of his time entertaining celebrities in his Neverland-style luxury mansion. She said he would tell her and others that he’d eventually take them away from the prostitution and they’d all be on his reality show, “Mally’s World.” “He glorified our life so much,” Williams exclusively told BOSSIP. “He really had coercion and manipulation on another level. When I was actively being trafficked by him, paying him, working for his escort service, he was working with Young Burg. He always had artists and industry people in his house, and he was paying his way into the music industry.”
