Anna Gordy Gaye, Marvin Gaye’s ex-wife and the older sister of Motown founder Berry Gordy, passed away this morning in Los Angeles. She was 92. She died inside her home from natural causes, according to reports. Family members discovered that Anna had passed away around 3 a.m. Friday. Anna and Marvin Gaye got married in 1964, and she was a huge influence on his career, co-writing two hits on his classic “What’s Going On” album. Marvin Gay also said his hit song “Pride and Joy” was inspired by his courtship of Anna back in the ’60s. The couple eventually divorced in 1977. She is survived by one child, son Marvin Gaye III. Despite a marriage that fizzled out and was at times turbulent, the two remained close after they split up, and Gaye’s death in 1984 devastated Anna. When Gaye was honored with induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Gordy attended and accepted Gaye’s induction. Anna Gordy made her last appearance with her famous brother Berry, who founded Motown Records, at a red carpet event where Berry was honored, in 2008.

American Idol continues to give us very little to snark about on Season 13. Last night’s two-hour stop in Salt Lake City produced 30 Golden Ticket recipients, 25 of which were given plenty of time on the air in lieu of those tired, overly produced and purposely lame auditions. The judges continued to exude charm and chemistry and the talent continued to come out in droves. What is going on here?!? The insane fight between Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute on this week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules wasn’t staged. It was as real as reality TV gets. If you missed it, Stassi accused Kristen of banging her ex-boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff and called her a “dirty f–king whore.” The then reared back and smacked Kristen in the face, doused her with a drink and continued to run her mouth as their shocked co-stars looked on … Vanderpump Rules FIGHT Not unlike Sunday’s wild Real Housewives of Atlanta fight , this was not your standard altercation staged for Bravo ratings. Kristen was beyond enraged. She went immediately to the police to get Stassi prosecuted and file a report, although the case hit a dead end when cops wanted a follow-up interview. Lisa Vanderpump , who employs both Stassi and Kristen at her restaurant, also went on record saying that the girl fight was as real as it was regrettable. She told TMZ after the fact, “I know that Stassi was very sorry and regretted it. According to the tabloid, the celeb was caught treating the posh New York apartment where she’s filming her upcoming OWN network docu-series as a drug den. “Lindsay was 100 percent doing lines of cocaine at the apartment Oprah got her,” an alleged witness says. “She was doing it out in the open, in front of three friends.” Star also claims that last month, Lohan was fiending and desperate to track down a “former fling” to score drugs, eventually inviting several models over. Then they all “went with Lindsay to her house and did a bunch of blow.” Allegedly. As in probably not really, given this celebrity gossip source’s history. As Gossip Cop notes , these quotes are clearly fabricated and if LiLo had been behaving badly (and illegally) in front of people, why did no one report it?
