I came back and I was like, ‘I got a couch.’” And while Orji could have been somewhere balled up in her bed crying, she said she can truly say she’s happy because of her faith. I thought this was the one!’ God be like, ‘Oh that’s what you thought? I got the goods for you.’ It happened in my career when someone offered me a show and I was like, ‘This is it!’ and then the show went to nowhere. I got borderline depressed. Cut to Insecure. Cut to my life has changed.” With that being said, Orji knows that based on what He’s done before, God has someone even greater in store for her. “And so, the way God has literally set up my life is the reason why when you call me and you’re like, ‘Are you ok?!’ I’m like, girl, I’m good!” she said. “I’m happy!” It also helped that after their split, Orji said she took time to process everything and did the work to move forward positively. And she walked away from it with her virginity still intact. The couple never had sex, so as a friend told Orji, “it was really easy for you to make a clean cut in terms of the emotional and spiritual.” Orji has spoken openly about her virginity since she stepped on the scene. She will not relinquish it until marriage as a promise to God. “I’m open, because why not? I’m grounded in who I am,” the star told PEOPLE in 2017. “Before any of [the fame] happened, I sat down with myself and with God and thought, when I make it, how do you want me to represent you while I’m here? It was like, OK, I know why I’m here. Tristan Thompson: Totally Unaffected By Jordyn Woods Cheating Scandal!

As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Tristan Thompson was caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian last month. There was nothing terribly surprising about the situation, as Tristan has been caught cheating on Khloe multiple times in the past. This time, however, Tristan’s choice of cheating partner left Khloe and her fans absolutely floored. Thompson hooked up with Jordyn Woods , the longtime best friend of Khloe’s youngest sister, Kylie Jenner. The episode left Woods’ life absolutely shattered. At the time of the incident, Jordyn was living in Kylie’s guesthouse . She’s since been kicked out and forced to move back in with her mother. Jordyn lost not only her best friend and her home, but also her sole means of support.  (Kylie is so rich that being her bestie counts as a job.) Insiders say Woods is in damage control mode and hoping to salvage what’s left of her career and public image. Against the advice of those who believe she should simply lay low for a while, Jordyn recently sat down for an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith with the goal of gaining some empathy from the online hordes who have been hurling vitriol for weeks. Interestingly, however, Tristan seems to have no major concerns about his own reputation. In fact, as you can see from his latest Instagram post, the Cleveland Cavs forward is living the good life these days. For obvious reasons, Tristan has been keeping a relatively low profile on social media in recent weeks. That came to an end Thursday night, however, as Thompson posted a pic in which he appears to be enjoying some red wine. The stark difference between Tristan and Jordyn’s situations has led many to cry foul over the way Woods has been mistreated by the Kardashians, their fans, and the media. Yes, she betrayed those closest to her, and perhaps she deserves to lose their friendship as a result. But it’s important to remember the facts of the situation: For one thing, Jordyn is 21 — an age at which idiotic mistakes are pretty much par for the course. On top of that, Jordyn’s not the one who was in a relationship at the time of the infidelity. Yes, she certainly owes a great deal of loyalty to Khloe — but not as much as Khloe’s baby daddy. We’re not proposing that Jordyn should be completely let off the hook for her misdeeds — we’re merely suggesting it might be time to redistribute the blame a bit. Us Weekly reports that, according to their sources, Kylie wasn’t initially onboard with the plan to excise Jordyn from the family. They’re BFFs, and Kylie didn’t want to lose one of the most important people in her life because of one dude’s dong. “Kylie defended Jordyn in the beginning,” the insider reveals. And even though she eventually sided with Khloe, Kylie’s ardent defense of Jordyn made an impression. “At first,” the source shares. “The family thought Kylie would eventually take Jordyn back.” “But now they don’t think that she will,” the insider adds. “It will be very hard for Kylie to lose Jordyn because she’s her best friend,” another source explains. “She doesn’t have a lot of friends,” the insider notes. She’s like family, so they’re as upset over this as if Jordyn were Khloe’s sister, not the best friend of Khloe’s much-younger half-sister. In other words, because of how close she is, they’re taking this more seriously. At the same time, Jordyn isn’t officially part of the Kardashian family, so they also feel like she’s disposable. If the Kardashians were this willing to write off their own flesh and blood after screw-ups, Rob would have been gone a long time ago. You are doing network television again. Tell us, what attracted you to the story. Also, take us through that moment when you got the script in your hand. Morris Chestnut: So, I just finished Rosewood. Rosewood was fun and light. My manager sent me this script and while reading it I was really involved in the character. I was engaged with the story. When I got to the ending of the pilot I was like wow! – I didn’t see the ending coming. The character was very dynamic. I wanted to get back to doing something that was more challenging dramatically. This was it. HelloBeautiful.com: What’s it like for you to go from the big screen working on those big box office films to working on 30 minutes to hour projects? Morris Chestnut: It is a blistering pace. That’s the most challenging part. Most of the times, that’s the only drawback to doing television. The material nowadays – most are big blockbuster comic book, Black Panther, The Avengers – big ticket type films. So, a lot of the really good material is also going to television. However, the challenge with doing network TV is that you don’t have time to prepare, because it is so fast paced. HelloBeautiful.com: In this role you are very stoic and focused. What makes you weak and what makes you fold? Morris Chestnut: There is going to be a lot of vulnerability that you see and it all relates to my fiancée that I lost. You will see the moments when I have to trust and sometimes I am burned by that trust. You will see me vulnerable. HelloBeautiful.com: In sync with that – let’s talk about sacrifices. Erica Shepherd didn’t want to lose her daughter. You lost your fiancée. Let’s talk about some other sacrifices that you had to go through in The Enemy Within. Morris Chestnut: The FBI and the CIA – they don’t have a good relationship. The FBI is more by the book and the CIA are more like cowboys who go and do whatever they want to get the job done. The FBI somewhat resents the CIA. So, part of the sacrifice is having to work with someone who Will feels is responsible for the death of his fiancée, while working with others from the CIA. HelloBeautiful.com: Why is The Enemy Within good for NBC? Morris Chestnut: The one thing that I love about NBC is that they really focus on diversity. They don’t just talk about it – they are definitely about it. We have diversity in front of the camera and behind the camera. We have diversity with our PA’s, writers, directors, and the crew. They’ll take some time to explain what you may have missed, offer their expert insight and then when they’re all done, rate them from a 1-10. In case you have been living under a rock,  The Rewind will always be here to get you right. This week, we’re switching up the tempo and taking some time to celebrate Black History Month. That’s right! We’re three weeks into February so it’s only right we take some time to pay tribute and take special attention to all things BLACK! This week, we’re highlighting the top 5 millennial film & TV stars whose work is most likely go down in Black history. We’re sure you have an idea of who you would choose, but let’s see what DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius say. In no particular order, our resident critics, Franchise and Landon Levarius, chose Lena Waithe as their first millennial star.  Lena is already well on her way to making black history. In fact, she made history in 2017 when she became the first Black woman to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. Her Thanksgiving episode of Netflix’s “Masters of None” remains untouchable and she continues to create more and more content for the culture including “The Chi” on Showtime, “Boomerang” on BET, an upcoming series with Kid Fury coming to HBO and so much more. It’s a given that Lena Waithe will be creating more Black history in her career. The fourth Black millennial to make the list is Oakland’s own Ryan Coogler. Ryan has given us Fruitvale Station, Black Panther, Creed, he’s teamed up with Lebron James for the upcoming Space Jam sequel and he has much more on the way. When it comes to promising millennials in film that you absolutely must watch, Ryan Coogler is high on the list. He’s proven that he can direct phenomenal films and has no intentions of slowing down. Peter Tork Dies; The Monkees Guitarist was 77

Peter Tork was the wise-cracking guitarist for the 1960s teen-pop sensation, The Monkees. Sadly, he has now passed away. Tork was 77 years old. The Washington Post reports that Peter Tork passed away on Thursday, February 21. Tork’s sister, Anne Thorkelson, did not specify her brother’s cause of death. However, the guitarist was diagnosed with adenoic cystic carcenoma, a rare form of cancer, in early 2009. Tork had received extensive treatment, using both surgery and radiation, in 2009 to combat the slow-growing head and neck cancer. It is unclear what role that serious heatlh crisis may have played in his death 10 years later. Tork’s friends, family, and colleagues released a statement on his official Facebook page. “It is with beyond-heavy and broken hearts that we share the devastating news” “that our friend, mentor, teacher, and amazing soul, Peter Tork, has passed from this world” “Please know that Peter was extremely appreciative of you, his Torkees.” After being recommended by a man who failed his audition, Peter Tork auditioned for The Monkees . He joined the pop-rock group called The Monkees, a then-fictional band created for the eponymous sitcom. Though Tork was an accomplished musician, he and the band’s other three members did very little with instruments in their early albums. Over time, he would play the bass guitar, keyboards, harpsichord, and banjo during the band’s recordings. His character on the television series was a “lovable dummy,” a role that endures across multiple genres because it is so endearing to audiences. The Monkees , the television sitcom, ran from 1966 to 1968. The band by the same name, however, played from 1966 to 1971. As a group, they produced six albums, four of which went to Number 1 on the Billboard chart. Peter Tork did leave the band before it was officially disbanded. Though the group had hoped to perform more together, ultimately they had musical differences. Tork also said that the filming schedule, and the way that it cut down on his time to actually work on music, exhausted him. Despite the band officially disbanding in the early 1970s, the group has held multiple reunions and reunion tours. With the The Monkees playing in syndication, they found reborn cultural relevance in the Twenty-First Century. Tork made his last appearance with the band in 2016 as they played at the Pantages in Hollywood. Without him, the two surviving members of the band, Nesmith and Dolenz, went on the road as a duo in 2018. At the time, they were vague about Tork’s personal reasons for not traveling with them. Tork released a statement to Rolling Stone to explain his distance from his former bandmates. “I have in general made no secret of the fact that all these recent years of Monkees-related projects, as fun as they’ve been,” Tork began. He continued: “have taken up a lot of my time and energy.” ” Moving forward, I have blues projects that I want to give my attention to. .. Amanda Seales Accuses Ex-NFL Player Turned Harvard Neurosurgeon Of Sexual Harassment

Source: Leon Bennett / Getty Via  Madamenoire : Amanda Seales   just used her social media to reveal she was the victim of sexual harassment, naming  Myron Rolle , an  ex-NFL  player turned  Harvard   neurosurgeon, as the subject of her accusation.   During a recent interview and again on her podcasts, Small Doses, Seales talked about an encounter where she claims she received disturbing direct messages from an unnamed source. On Monday, Seales used her InstaStories to explain why she chose to come forward. I, on my podcast, um and on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ spoke about an individual who had approached me on the Internet and we spoke on the phone, and, uhh they said some troubling things in the conversation that made me take a step back.” Seales said she was instantly made aware the Rolle had a separate encounter with another woman, who says he greeted her at the door of his hotel room with no clothes on and then made her feel uncomfortable about her reaction. Seales says as of Monday, a total of eight women have come forward to reveal troubling behavior. “When I spoke about him on my podcast and on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ I didn’t say his name. I literally just said a couple of characteristics about him and it has been shocking and incredibly discomforting to me, how many women, 8 as of tonight, that have come forward to say his name. And that he had been incredibly problematic and behaved in a very sexually predatorial way that could have gotten him fired. I say all that to say, if you are approached by Myron Rolle, you should just be mindful,” she said in closing. Rolle is a 32-year-old Harvard Medical School resident who initially began his career in the limelight after he was drafted to the NFL in 2010 as a member of the Tennessee Titans. In a 2017 interview with CNN, Rolle said his trajectory to explore medicine began when he read Ben Carson’s autobiography, “Gifted Hands.” After graduating from Florida State University, he postponed his NFL career to attend Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. For Seales, this is the second time she reported contact with a prominent male harasser. In 2017, she retold an uncomfortable tale where Russell Simmons asked if the two had ever “f—–d.”
