Yesterday, George Anthony took the stand and defended himself against allegations that he carried on an affair with a woman who was helping him search for his grandchild, Caylee. Today, he implied that daughter Casey is behind Caylee’s death. George Anthony Testimony “The car smelled like human decomposition. Caylee was last seen with Casey,” George testified, growing emotional. “One and one adds up to two in my mind. I was trying to put all the stories together. ” Casey Anthony shook her head and scribbled notes to her legal team as her father answered questions. George said he felt a “deep, deep hurt inside” when Caylee’s remains were found a couple years ago. He even attempted suicide soon after because “it just seemed like the right time to go, to be with Caylee. To spend time with Caylee. I didn’t want to be in this world anymore.” The defense, who is trying to make jurors believe George abused his daughter and that somehow explains her changing story, asked the witness if he ever touched Casey inappropriately. “Sir, I never would do anything to harm my daughter in that way,” he said.
Look out, every nightclub in Los Angeles: Lindsay Lohan is a free woman. Following 35 days under grueling, sprawling house arrest, the troubled actress had her ankle monitor removed at 10:20 a.m. local time today. At last check, she remained inside her Venice Beach, California condo, but was on her way to fulfill community service obligations at any moment. “I spoke with her yesterday and she told me she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest,” Lindsay’s rep tells E! News. It was a difficult month-plus for Lohan, who was stuck inside her $2.25 million estate and forced to give interviews from the comfort of her living room sofa. We have no doubt she’s learned her lesson, scale back on her partying, resurrect her career and… darn. We almost got that out with a straight face. [Photo: WENN.com]
‘He’s ready to focus on what he needs to focus on,’ NBA superstar tells Mixtape Daily of Cass’ post-prison career. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Ade Mangum Carmelo Anthony and Diego Cash Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: Carmelo Anthony NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony has an array of breathtaking moves on the court, but his off-court moves are just as noteworthy. As the head of Krossover Entertainment, Anthony is launching the career of up-and-coming rapper Diego Ca$h as well as helping the already-established Cassidy reinvent his career. In May, Cassidy was arrested after a warrant was issued stemming from a probation violation. The “I’ma Hustla” rapper, who is now home, explained that the incident all began after he missed an appointment with his P.O., but he’s now looking to put the situation behind him. ‘Melo is in full support. “He’s good, man. He’s home. I’m glad he figured it out, got through that situation,” Anthony said, updating Mixtape Daily on his buddy. “I’m glad he got that behind him, and now he’s ready to focus on what he needs to focus on — I’m pretty sure getting back into the studio and throwing that under the rug.” Anthony estimates that he and Cassidy met about three years ago, after the New York Knick reached out to the Philly rapper to appear on a Diego Ca$h record. “I tried to get him on a track with one of my artists. He actually did the track, and it just took off from there,” ‘Melo recalled. “He was available; he was a free agent at the time. He had just came home from jail. He was trying to reinvent himself, and I just thought it was the perfect opportunity at the time to give him new light.” In addition to providing some assistance to Cass, Anthony has been positioning the relatively underground Diego Ca$h as an artist to watch for. Ca$h’s latest video, “Return of the Rican,” was shot during the 2011 Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City and features hip-hop veteran Fat Joe. While Carmelo does have quite a few extracurricular activities, his focus is still on the basketball court. Though ‘Melo’s New York Knicks were swept out of the NBA Playoffs, losing four straight games to the Boston Celtics, Anthony seems focused and ready to continue balling in his hometown after he was traded to NY from Denver in February. “I’m home now; that’s the most important thing.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . After Cee Lo Green had to drop out of the singer’s Loud tour due to other commitments, the “California King Bed” designated J. Cole as the “Forget You” singer’s replacement. Rihanna announced via Twitter that rapper J. Cole, who was already on the road with the singer, will fill Green’s shoes as her main warm-up act on the tour, which began this month. “#GOODNEWS @JColeNC is our new official opener!” she wrote on Tuesday night. “@CeeLoGreen will no longer be a part of #LOUDtour due 2 commitment with ‘The Voice’ #Cantmissit.” Green had to leave when his schedule became too crammed with other commitments, including his judging gig on the hit NBC talent competition “The Voice,” which is also presenting a tour this summer. “He always puts 100 percent into his work and with the requirements and time commitment to ‘The Voice,’ on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book, he feels that he wouldn’t give his fans the show that they deserve,” Green’s spokesperson said, according to The New York Times . Rihanna’s Loud tour travels the U.S. through July 24 before heading to Europe in August. It’s set to wrap up in late December. There was a similar switch-up for Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth Tour in 2010, when Nicki Minaj pulled out at the last minute and was quickly replaced with Travie McCoy. Ke$ha also opened on that tour. ‘You’re gonna kill yourself, man,’ Margera recalled warning ‘Jackass’ co-star about his driving. By Gil Kaufman Ryan Dunn and Bam Margera Photo: Peter Kramer/ Getty Images A week after attending a memorial service for his friend and “Jackass” co-star Ryan Dunn , Bam Margera sat down for an interview with E! Online to discuss the car accident that took the lives of Dunn and friend Zachary Hartwell and talk about the final message he got from his fellow daredevil. “He was my best f—ing friend in the world. It’s been five days now, and I can’t stop crying, man,” Margera said. “I just don’t think it should’ve been him.” Looking drawn and tired, with wife Melissa Rothstein by his side holding his hand, Margera said the phone call he received about the accident was “pretty much the worst news I’ve ever heard in my life.” The call came while he was asleep in Arizona, with Margera’s friends urging him to get on the line with his brother right away to discuss the news. Sounding and looking a bit woozy, Margera remembered that he was a passenger in a car Dunn was driving in 1996 that flew off the road in the same spot. “He flipped me in a car eight times at the same exact spot in 1996,” Margera recalled. “Thank God I had my seat belt on, because [“Jackass” contributor] Chris Raab put one on me, but my brother didn’t have one on. He flew 40 feet. Thank God he’s alive. But like, Dunn was always a maniac at driving.” Asked to recall the final words he spoke with Dunn, Margera pulled out his phone and read a series of texts the pals exchanged on the night that Dunn drank with friends at a Pennsylvania bar. “Are you all right, need me to come over there and get people out of there?” he read, laughing about a string of jokes the two had shared over the legal travails of former baseball star Lenny Dykstra. “Stopping for a beer, be there when I can,” read the final message he got from Dunn, who was annoyed by the local traffic in West Chester, Pennsylvania, that night due to a local running event. He also revealed that the high-speed crash — police estimate that Dunn was driving in excess of 130 m.p.h. in a 55 zone and had a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit at the time — was just a block or so from Hartwell’s house. “And he must have just missed the exit,” Margera speculated. “He should have just f—ing turned around, but he skidded out and ran right into a thing … and seeing all these burnt, f—ing pieces of tree … that was tough for me. I went twice.” Asked if the press focus on Dunn’s blood-alcohol level is a “disservice” to the stuntman’s memory, Margera said, “That doesn’t really matter at all. … First of all, I’ll say it about myself, it will take me three beers to even feel normal. If you drink three beers and then three girlie shots, whatever, it has nothing to do with that. He is a maniac in a car. He has a goddamn Porsche and he drives fast.” Margera went on to explain that Dunn’s Porsche was the “lightest one possible,” outfitted with a Lamborghini engine, a turbo booster and nitro boosts, which he said caused the car to fishtail when it sped down the road. “I said, ‘You’re gonna go right into a pole, dude,’ ” he recalled warning Dunn. ” ‘You’re gonna kill yourself, man,’ ” he responded when Dunn joked that he was a race car driver. If he could go back to that night, Margera said he would have told Dunn, “Give me your goddamn keys, you idiot.” Related Videos Remembering Ryan Dunn Related Photos Fans Pay Tribute To Ryan Dunn Ryan Dunn: A Career In Photos

Actress reportedly tested positive for alcohol and faces possible jail time. By Gil Kaufman Lindsay Lohan Photo: David McNew/ Getty Images Just weeks from completing her home detention sentence, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is due in a Los Angeles court on Thursday (June 23) after allegedly violating her probation by testing positive for alcohol. According to TMZ , the 24-year-old actress tested positive for alcohol earlier this month and could be facing additional jail time if the probation department has its way. The gossip site reported that Lohan was tested twice last week for drugs and alcohol and that unnamed sources said she tested positive for alcohol on one of the tests and negative on another; both were reportedly negative for drugs. One of the tests is reported to have taken place after a rooftop barbecue party Lohan had at her condo for friends on June 12. In April, Lohan was sentenced to four months in jail for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace but was allowed to serve a reduced 35-day term at her Venice, California, condo. She was under strict home-confinement rules and wore an electronic monitoring device. TMZ reported that the Los Angeles County Probation Department will ask the judge in the case to pull Lohan from house arrest and send her directly to Los Angeles County jail. Lohan’s attorney could not be reached for comment at press time. Lohan was specifically told by the judge in her 2007 DUI case that she was not allowed to consume any alcohol while on probation. As part of her plea deal in the necklace case, Lohan was also sentenced to perform 480 hours of community service, but was ordered not to perform that work until she completed her house arrest. She was also sentenced to undergo psychological counseling and participate in a shoplifters alternative course.
