Even though Jenelle Evans has been bashed by Farrah Abraham and Kailyn Lowry for whining — meaning that, yes, even Farrah Abraham has the moral high ground in that area — she's a complex individual, right? She's gotta be. Well, the Carolina Hurricane is actually working for a good cause, but she didn't do just any photoshoot. Because she dressed as a mermaid — tail and all. Yes, really. (Oh, and you'd better believe that there's video) Jenelle Evans might quit Teen Mom 2 because, to hear her tell it, the show's producers and editors are all part of some vast conspiracy to make her, in particular, look so much worse than she actually is. Because when you watch Teen Mom 2 , Jenelle Evans and David Eason do not seem to be great parents. (That's actually a massive understatement) Given what Jenelle's own mother Barbara has said about the couple, you don't get that impression in person, either. Jenelle can't blame real life of editors, now can she? But we need to try — just for a moment — to not think of Jenelle, the angry and defensive reality star. Or Jenelle the not-very-good mom. Instead, we need to think of Jenelle, the human being. Or, possibly, Jenelle Evans — the mermaid. Yes, Jenelle Evans did a mermaid photoshoot. And it's even for a good cause, if you can believe it. Jenelle has shared behind-the-scenes photos of herself, in a mermaid tail, on the beach. In addition, she shared a behind-the-scenes video. Jenelle captioned the video with this, explaining what she was up to — because it's not just a wildly impractical Halloween costume. “I had such an amazing time with @projectmermaids . [I'm] super thankful to have this opportunity to make my dream come true since I was a little girl, which was being a mermaid!!!” Like the saying goes — shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll end up famous for getting knocked up in high school. “I love free diving, scuba diving, and this just topped it all.” Yes, well, the ocean is a beautiful place. “This is an organization that helps to clean up all the trash on our beaches!” Oh! That's a genuinely great cause. “I’m here to bring attention to this issue and ask to spread awareness.” Spread awareness of … trash? Or of the organization? “We need to teach our younger generation so we can save our earth, keep it healthy, and save our wildlife.” Those are genuinely important causes. Some might crack a joke about Jenelle Evans being at the beach while encouraging people to remove their trash from the beach, but … we'll resist. But we do have to talk about something, and it's that mermaid tail. We know a couple of women who have mermaid tails (both are, coincidentally, redheads) and they look so much nicer than the one that Jenelle is wearing. You can scour the internet and find some amazing-looking tails that don't just look the part, but function for swimming (in a pool; please don't wear one in the ocean). In comparison, Jenelle's looks like a cheap Halloween costume. Did Jenelle bring this mildly ratchet looking tail with her after just refusing to splurge on a nice one, despite having that sweet, sweet Teen Mom money ? Or did the organization provide one and Jenelle was just uncharacteristically polite and went along with it? But we need to remember that these are behind-the-scenes photos (and a BTS video). Not only are these not going to be the most flattering angles, but the organization may doctor the photos in post. Maybe the tail that Jenelle is wearing is just a baseline, and they'll use cgi to make it look like it's not a mildly doctored pillowcase. Regardless, though, cleaning up our beaches is vital. Never leave trash behind. Cleaning our oceans is also tremendously important. Though new technologies are being invented every day for combing beaches for trash and even filtering trash out of the ocean, we all have to do our parts to not make a massive problem worse . What kind of world will future generations inherit? What kind of world are we leaving for ourselves in a decade or two? Anyway, take a look at the video:
If you watched Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 , then we probably don’t have to explain to you why David Eason is not the most popular reality star in the world this week. The episode portrayed Eason and his famously volatile wife in such an unflattering light that Jenelle Evans threatened to quit the show and deleted her Twitter profile in protest. The newly-married Easons were depicted as bickering constantly and neglecting their many children. At one point, Jenelle’s youngest son, Kaiser, nearly knocked over an MTV camera, and many viewers cited it as further evidence of Evans’ incompetence as a parent. But while Jenelle has been ranting and raving and threatening her bosses on social media, David remained quiet in the days after the episode aired. Many fans assume Eason is lying low because he was once again exposed as an unfit father who has virtually no patience for Jenelle’s kids from previous relationships. Today, David seemed to indirectly respond to the widespread criticism by posting the below photo on Instagram: As you can see, the pic shows Eason seemingly enjoying the company of his wife and daughter, as well as Jenelle’s son Kaiser, who’s seated in his lap. Many fans commented that they were confused by the photo, as David harshly disciplined Kaiser last week, and seems to not get along with Jenelle’s sons in general. We’ve seen David openly mock Jace and speak disparagingly of both boys and their fathers. Many fans have pointed out that if David engages in that sort of behavior on camera, there’s a good chance he’s even worse when he knows he’s not being filmed. Currently, Jenelle is engaged in multiple custody battles and David’s behavior seems to be making her case worse by the week. But as always, there are some diehard loyalists willing to defend the Carolina Hurricane and her troubled husband: “No matter what ppl say, honestly you been in those kids life, married their mom then that means treating the kids just like your own that includes-loving & disciplining,” commented one fan on the pic. “But either way if he just stood back while the kids misbehaved ppl would say “omg you can’t even step up and be a man/father figure.” “I must be watching a different show- kaiser is terrified of David? I remember him crying bc he WANTED David – in the backseat when jenelle had to call David on the phone while picking up Marisa,” wrote another. Perhaps Jenelle and her most faithful fans are right and David is merely being misrepresented. If you’re a Teen Mom 2 fan, then you’re probably aware that Jenelle Evans got married over the weekend. You might also be aware that Jenelle called off the wedding less than 24 hours before she was scheduled to walk down the aisle. Eventually, she changed her mind, she and David exchanged vows, and we would say that everything worked out in the end, but this is the world of Jenelle Evans we’re talking about – a place where there is no happily ever after. Instead of enjoying her honeymoon phase, Jenelle took to Twitter (where she’s already changed her name to Jenelle Eason) to behave in a very presidential fashion. By which we mean she a launched on non-stop verbal assault against her perceived enemies. As usual, Jenelle is going on about her custody battle with Nathan Griffith in a way that probably will only hurt her in court. Nothing new there, of course. What’s interesting this time is that Jenelle’s enemies list has expanded to include some of the same media outlets that she often feeds stories too. Evans claims that reporters representing OK! magazine and Radar Online were camped out in the woods near her house in the hours leading up to her nuptials. She claims they were the ones who broke the story about her pre-wedding fight with David (though in fairness, that blowout was so loud that anyone of her neighbors could’ve recorded it with a smartphone). And now, she’s responding the same way she responds to everything single thing that happens to her: with seething rage! “Don’t write a damn thing about me anymore,” Jenelle tweeted today. “You send a reporter to my house and secretly recorded me, then ask for exclusive?!” Jenelle went on to get downright Trump-ian, claiming that OK! and Radar totally wanted to strike a deal with her, but she’s much too cool for all that. “Trying to offer us tons of money, you can keep every penny,” she tweeted. Interestingly, she didn’t deny her fight with David, but chalked the screaming match up to pre-wedding jitters: “God forbid we both had anxiety the day before our wedding. Find something else to bitch about. My night was great, sorry you weren’t there,” Evans tweeted. Did she stop there? Ha! That’s a good one! “No but for real whoever hid in the woods props to you, hope you didn’t get bit by spiders, tics, or a cottonmouth. #Idiots.” Jenelle added. “I have my own photographer that takes 1 million times better pics then some creepy stalker pics.” We expect her to announce her 2020 presidential candidacy any day now. Getty Images High School Recalls Yearbooks Over “Build That Wall” Quote A high school in North Carolina (go figure) is making headlines after a seemingly xenophobic quote made it to senior yearbooks . Somehow the girl thought it was ok to use “build that wall” as a senior quote, referring to Trumps immigration wall he wants us to pay for to keep “bad” Mexican immigrants away. Race aside, the politics behind the quote stirred hundreds of feathers. One facebook user posted the quote, raising awareness to friends about it. So Richmond county school system allowed this to be printed in their 2017 year book. I already knew this city was racist. Get a court date you’ll find out. This doesn’t surprise me at all. Richmond country schools have since confiscated the year books according to a statement on Facebook . Earlier this week, it was discovered by school administration that Richmond Early College yearbooks had errors and inappropriate comments. The principal immediately collected the distributed yearbooks. We regret that this incident has occurred and are currently working with the yearbook’s publisher to make corrections. As a district, we do not and will not tolerate inappropriate conduct toward any of our students. In each situation, our goal is to provide for the well-being of all of our students and prevent recurrences of inappropriate conduct.
At this point, it’s probably safe to say that for the rest of her whole entire life, Leah Messer will be criticized for her parenting choices. Seriously, girl could donate a kidney to one of her children and people would still find an issue. “There’s probably drugs in there ,” some would say, or “she’s just doing it to make herself look good for MTV.” It’s sad. And what’s even sadder is that right now, Leah is facing a boatload of criticism — several boatloads, actually — for what Teen Mom 2 fans believe are wrongdoings. There’s a lot to get into here, so let’s break down Leah’s latest sins, one by one. The first one is that Leah is in L.A. right now, doing some filming for some Teen Mom 2 specials. She left her three little girls at home, and apparently that was wrong of her. “Leaving your kids behind super mom,” one of her followers commented sarcastically. How ridiculous is that? Because Leah is a mother, she’s never, ever allowed to leave her children? Is that how this works? Fortunately, several of Leah’s followers stood up for her on this point, but unfortunately, this next point is even worse. You know how Leah has been looking a bit thinner than usual lately? According to these strangers on the internet, her weight loss could actually be because of drugs. She went to rehab in 2015 for what she said were mental health issues, but for what everyone else claimed were drug issues. And some people think those issues might be making a comeback. “I sincerely hope you’re off the pills,” one person told her. “Your children need you, and the last few months you’ve looked dangerously thin.” “Take care of yourself, so you can be a role model for your girls.” One person wrote that Leah “looks buzzed” in recent photos, while another stated that “Leah comes from dysfunction she can only do what she was taught.” “I have noticed some signs of possible medication use. It could be prescribed,” another person pointed out. “Please take a look at yourself,” yet another commenter said. “Be realistic. In the beginning of the season you looked like you were on something, you still look like you’re on something.” “The reality is you look like you’re on drugs or something worse!!!” It’s all very dramatic, right? Not to mention dumb. Leah has always been thin. She was thin before she got pregnant at 16, she was thin again about two seconds after giving birth to twins. If she’s thinner now, perhaps it’s from the stress of being a single mother to three young children, one with a debilitating disease . But — and this is the third issue — some people are also saying that Leah’s sister, Victoria, is struggling with an addiction of her own these days. So basically everything is a mess. As one of her faithful commenters wrote, “Looks like your sister is on drugs now! She seems so out of it when filming.” “Her sister is the one on pills now,” another claimed. “She looks and acts just like Leah did last season. And she’s a new mom . I sincerely hope Leah gets her some help.” Apparently if Victoria really is on drugs, it’s Leah’s fault — another of her followers told her “Not to be rude but you need to get your sister Victoria some help.” “Any idiot can see she’s high in every episode so far and she looks terrible. You battled an issue and seem to be doing great. She just had a baby and it doesn’t deserve to have a brand new mom high on pills! She sure does lead a busy life, huh?
Say what you will about Jenelle Evans, the girl clearly trains hard. Jenelle is a fitness fanatic, and she’s currently reaping the rewards of her work ethic, just two weeks after welcoming daughter Ensley . Check out her latest selfie and be amazed: Yes, it’s hard to believe that Jenelle gave birth to her third child just 13 days ago. Clearly, the pressures of raising three kids aren’t interfering with her workout routine. (We’ll pause and allow you to angrily comment that Jenellle only has custody of two of her three children.) The achievement must feel even better given the flak over Jenelle’s weight that ensued after she appeared on last season’s Teen Mom 2 reunion show. Nathan Griffith fat-shamed his ex in brutal fashion on the show, and instead of admonishing him for his idiocy, a surprising number of fans followed suit on social media. Never one to take abuse lying down, Jenelle clapped back on Instagram, writing: “Yes, I’ve gained weight. Happy weight. This is what happens when you are truly happy in life.” Now, she’s clearly having the last laugh at both Nathan and the online haters. Amazingly, the woman once dubbed the Carolina Hurricane might be following in Amber Portwood’s footsteps and becoming an unlikely Teen Mom success story. Like Amber, much of the criticism leveled against Jenelle over the years has been justified. For much of her life, Jenelle has been a negative and destructive force in the lives of her loved ones, but she seems to be on the verge of turning things around. We don’t want to give her too much credit just yet (This is a girl who allegedly assaulted her ex’s new girlfriend and boasted about being involved in ” two custody battles at once ” just last year.), but she may be slowly getting there. Only time will tell what sort of mom and woman Jenelle will develop into, but she seems to want to change for the better, which is an important first step. If nothing else, Jenelle’s fitness routine is clearly on point. Now hopefully she’ll start attending to her emotional and psychological health with the same care.
