Last night’s Christmas edition of Glee — which the wonderful Julie Miller will glee cap for you later today — was another foray into jukebox territory for the hit show, meaning songs came and went without much tethering to the plot. That was fine — after all, it’s Christmas, and Kurt and Blaine are adorbz! — but did Glee abuse its fan base by not including enough hits?

In anticipation of the new book, The Making of The Empire Strikes Back (out October 12), Lucasfilm has done one of the things that Lucasfilm does best — create a trailer. Even when it comes to the more questionable chapters of the Star Wars saga, the trailers are fantastic, so why not release a trailer for the “making of” book celebrating the greatest chapter of them all, Empire ?

By Gil Kaufman Lady Gaga Photo: Stephen Lovekin/ Getty Images There’s no word yet if she’s going to take a seat at the signature white piano again, but Lady Gaga has signed on to perform at one of the John Lennon tribute concerts taking place in Los Angeles in October. According to Yoko Ono’s website , Gaga will join a star-studded list for a pair of We Are Plastic Ono Band shows at the Orpheum Theater on October 1 and 2 that will include performances by Lennon’s widow Ono, Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, experimental solo artist Tune-Yards, punk icon Iggy Pop and Lennon’s youngest son, Sean. The shows will pay tribute to Lennon on what would have been the ex-Beatle’s 70th birthday. Gaga is slated to take the stage on the second night on a bill that also features married Sonic Youth duo Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore. Among the other acts listed on the poster promoting the show: Cornelius, actress Carrie Fisher, director/actor Vincent Gallo, Harper Simon, Mike Watt, Nels Cline, Yuka Honda and Haruomi Hosono. Though her name stands out on the bill, Gaga’s inclusion is not that unusual. She performed “Imagine,” Lennon’s signature song of hope, at last October’s Human Rights Campaign gathering in Washington, D.C., where she tweaked the song’s lyrics a bit to make references to the 1998 murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard. The shows are just one of the ways Ono is celebrating what would have been a milestone birthday for Lennon. EMI will reissue spiffed-up versions of Lennon’s solo albums on October 5, along with some previously unreleased home recordings.
