Casey Anthony Released From Jail, Heckled By Protesters

Casey Anthony became a free woman early Sunday morning. Just after midnight, wearing blue jeans and a bright pink top, and with hundreds of protesters heckling her, the 25-year-old walked out of the front door of the Orange County Booking and Release Center in Orlando, Fla. With her were attorney Jose Baez and two sheriff’s deputies: Casey Anthony Release With the cash from her supporters and a police escort into a gray SUV, Anthony drove her into the hot Florida night, her destination unknown. “She had a look of relief on her face,” said photographer Tony Zumbado. “There was a smile on her face. She looked glad to be out of there.” Most people were not decidedly unhappy she’s out of there. An angry crowd of more than 300 people had formed outside the jail. Police on horseback tried to maintain control of the vitriolic mob scene. “Casey, rot in hell!” one person screamed at Anthony. “You killed your daughter, Casey!” shouted another. That person is far from alone in that belief, but a jury concluded that based on the evidence presented, prosecutors couldn’t prove she did it. Casey was arrested, tried and acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee. The highly unpopular verdict shocked the public and has resulted in many death threats for Anthony and those close to her. Anthony’s future whereabouts and plans are unclear.

Casey Anthony Supporters Sending Her Moral Support, Cash For Some Reason

Casey Anthony has been receiving plenty of death threats since she was found not guilty of murder last week, but not everybody hates on her. Support and sympathy from strangers has poured in, as has cash – her bank account is benefiting from financial contributors, People reports . Sympathetic admirers, who need to reexamine their lives, have been sending Anthony letters of encouragement – and checks in the mail. As of Thursday, the 25-year-old earned $472.18 from at least 17 different donors, according to Orange County Corrections Department records. That’s a drop in the bucket compared to the amounts she’s going to be sued for imminently, but every little bit helps when you’re flat broke. Texas Equusearch, for one, is suing Casey Anthony for more than $100,000 to recoup the money they spent searching for Caylee Anthony. Since Casey was convicted of lying to law enforcement authorities four different times, the company certainly has grounds to go after her. In any case, Anthony, who does not appear to know the donors, has spent some money and will keep the rest when she’s released July 17 . So one-time can beat on us but we can’t use potty words? In a classic case of bad timing and worse police, a high school student named Tyre Davis was walking past police officers scraping their shoes when he noticed a quite pungent smell. He remarked that “it smells like doo-doo”. Immediately thereafter, officers arrested him for disorderly conduct. After he was released, Davis claims that the officers followed him into an alley and beat him up, punching him on the head and neck and causing him to fall and hit his head on a brick. As if it’s going to do anything, Davis has filed charges. We’ll keep you updated on if these police even get what’s coming to them.

Jurors in the Casey Anthony case were “disgusted” by her behavior, and “sick” over the decision to find her not guilty, but still felt they did the right thing. The foreman said that her shady behavior and evidence of whether or not she murdered Caylee are two different things, and the former didn’t matter. “We were asked … to convict on cause of death,” the foreman, juror No. 11, said on Fox News. “That’s something that, although it is disgusting, it is heinous, we weren’t really able to take into consideration with the verdict.” The jury foreman, who asked that his name not be used due to possible death threats , said the jury deliberated by considering the physical evidence. One Casey Anthony video deemed too inflammatory was not included. Ultimately, despite the duct tape found on Caylee Anthony’s remains, the possible use of chloroform and the strange circumstances, it wasn’t enough. They eventually found Casey Anthony, 25, not guilty of murdering Caylee, but guilty of lying to police four times in the course of their investigation. “We knocked those out right away because the evidence was there,” the jury foreman said, but the murder charge was a different story entirely. An early vote on the murder charge in the jury room was 10-2 to find Casey Anthony not guilty , he said. Less than 11 hours later, it was 12-0. “I think emotion [about Casey’s behavior] could have played into it, just gut response,” the juror said, though he never asked his counterparts. Eventually, the two dissenters came around, he added, as jurors considered what they felt were holes in the prosecution’s evidence. What do you think? Did the jurors get it right?

Casey Anthony Video Deemed "Too Inflammatory" For Trial May Soon Be Released

A judge is considering whether to unseal a video of Casey Anthony considered so inflammatory that it would have infringed upon her right to a fair trial. The jailhouse video shows Anthony reacting to news reports that a child’s body had been found in a swampy area near the family’s Florida property. The tape reportedly shows Casey doubled over and hyperventilating when Orange County jail officials reveal that a body was found near the home. Too inflammatory to be played for a jury? What the heck is on that tape? It’s not like the videos that were played (such as below) were flattering … Casey Anthony Jail Video At the time of the December 11, 2008 video, the body was not yet identified as the remains of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. The court took what is called an “unusual step” and sealed the video on June 17, 2009 claiming the public seeing it would violate Casey’s rights. The court “could not absolutely protect the defendant’s right to a fair trial” if the “inflammatory” tape got out, according to the order to seal it . Casey Anthony was found not guilty last week of charges of killing Caylee and is now scheduled to be released from jail this Sunday night. Regarding the video and whether it will be released now, Orlando television station WKMG-TV Local 6 filed the request to unseal the tape. WKMG-TV made the request July 6, arguing “that with the jury is sequestered, no prejudice to the defendant’s right to a fair trial could incur.” While other pieces of evidence could be seen as damaging, the court said “no other item … would carry a similar inflammatory impact.” If released, the tape could spark more outrage surrounding the verdict. Casey Anthony death threats have been common in recent days. In the past week, the jury , Anthony family and Judge Belvin Perry have received threats regarding the case in addition to Casey herself. Anthony’s highly-anticipated release from jail on Sunday has already prompted concerns for her safety and calls for extra protection.

Victoria and David Beckham’s brood has gained its first girl. The parents of three boys welcomed a daughter at 7:55 a.m. PST today. She weighed seven pounds, 10 ounces at birth and a name was not announced. One day your husband is snapping a pic of you sunbathing, the next day, you’re a new mother! “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family,” said Beckham spokesperson Jo Milloy. The little one shares a birthday with Kate Hudson’s new son, who also entered the world today . Congrats to both families!
