Jodi Arias Photos: Different Side of a Murder Suspect

Looking at Jodi Arias photos, you’d never expect she were being tried for killing someone, but she very much is; her sensational murder trial is now underway. In what is expected to be one of the most watched trials since Casey Anthony ‘s, Arias is accused of murdering ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in cold blood. The now-32-year-old looks more like an aspiring model than a murderer in photos posted on her MySpace page, but prosecutors say she’s anything but innocent. Jodi Arias allegedly shot motivational speaker Travis Alexander in the face and then stabbed him 27 times, slitting his throat from ear to ear in June 2008. Prosecutors want to make her the fourth woman on Arizona’s death row. In other photos from a happier time, Arias and Alexander, who met at a conference in Las Vegas in September 2006, certainly seemed happy. Arias says they fell in love, traveled the country together, and to strengthen her ties to the devout Mormon, she even converted to his religion. During their passionate, long distance relationship between Yreka, Calif., and Mesa, Arizona, they spoke everyday and exchanged 82,000 e-mails. But Alexander’s friends say after dating a few months, he tried to break it off, and she followed the object of her affection to his hometown, even after they split. When Alexander’s roommates found his body they suspected his lover, gave a 911 operator Jodi’s name and said she’d been “bothering” him and slashed his tires. “If he talked about another girl or  looked at another girl… she just had this evil smirk. You could just tell she was the type of person that could smile while she slit your throat ,” said close pal Dave Hall. “Pardon the pun there, in light of what’s going on.” “She might be eye candy on the outside. But I just thought, her personality is not very… talkative. Very quiet, she just had a vibe about her that just was really mysterious.” Arias, who has been locked up since her arrest, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. Her version of events has changed multiple times. “I didn’t hurt Travis. I would never hurt Travis,” Arias said in a jailhouse interview. “I would be shaking in my boots right now if I had to answer to God for such a heinous crime.” At first, Arias denied being at Alexander’s house that night. Then cops found a camera in the washing machine containing pictures of the two having sex that day. There were also photos of Alexander after he was killed. Faced with that evidence, Arias then told Inside Edition that she was there, but didn’t kill him. “I witnessed Travis being attacked by two other individuals,” she said on Inside Edition. “Who were they? I don’t know. I couldn’t pick them up in a police lineup.” Now, Arias admits that she did kill Alexander, but she claims that it was in self-defense, because she was sexually and physically abused during their relationship. Steven Alexander, Travis’ brother, said that he can see Arias for who she truly is. “It makes me sick because I know her true side,” he told ABC News. “I ask people to please not buy into this sweet innocent personality that she puts on.”

Octomom to Throw Down in Celebrity Pillow Fighting Championships

Octomom Nadya Suleman is getting ready to throw it down in the Celebrity Pillow Fighting Championships … which is apparently an actual thing. Despite the fact that Octomom’s porn star career is in full swing, she’s still trying to make more cash money starting June 23 in Broomall, Pa. On the same card with the “Pillow Fighting Championships,” to be exact. Nadya will be fighting Shila, co-host of Philadelphia radio’s “Chio, Shila & Tingle in the Morning,” who says she is excited to fight Octomom. The public “fight” between the women involves three one-minute rounds. Nadya is the favorite, with a 5-0 record in celebrity boxing and 1-0 in pillow fights. Shila, on the other hand, will be stepping into the ring for the first time. “I’m not sure who the girl is I’m pillow-fighting with, but I heard she has never been in the ring before,” Nadya Suleman told the Huffington Post . “I’ve done this several times, and I will remain undefeated!” Except by life. She’s getting pummeled in that arena. [Photo: WENN.com]

Casey Anthony to Piers Morgan: Obviously I Didn’t Kill Caylee!

Since her acquittal in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, Casey Anthony has kept a low profile, living in hiding and refusing all interviews. But Tuesday afternoon via telephone, Anthony surprisingly spoke to CNN’s Piers Morgan in a 10-minute discussion that was not played on-air. Casey, 26, asserted her innocence, but says she’s ashamed of who she was, and shed light on her current life as well as the public perception of her. Casey Anthony on Piers Morgan Tonight “Obviously I did not kill my daughter,” Morgan quoted Anthony as saying last night “There’s nothing in this world I’ve ever been so proud of.” “There’s no one I loved more than [Caylee]. She’s my greatest accomplishment.” Living in solitary seclusion, Anthony says she has reflected on some of her mistakes. “I didn’t trust law enforcement because of my relationship with my father, who is ex law enforcement himself,” she said. “I didn’t give them the benefit of the doubt, which is probably why they didn’t give me the benefit of the doubt … the public perception of me is bad. It’s absolutely horrible. I was a stupid kid, but I’ve never been a ‘party girl.'” “I’ve gone through hell. I’m ashamed in many ways of the person I was.” Casey is now out of hiding and on the run after being served with a subpoena in the defamation case being brought by Zenaida Gonzalez. Anthony’s lawyer, Cheney Mason, appeared on Piers’ program and revealed that she spends her days indoors, reading and watching television. Her current literary fare: The Hunger Games trilogy.

Casey Anthony: Out of Hiding, Back on the Run!

Casey Anthony had been hiding out in South Florida area, but had to leave at some point last week after being outed and fearing for her safety. As a result, she is once again on the move, according to reports. Anthony has been in hiding in Florida, where she must remain due to her probation, since she was acquitted of murdering her daughter last July. She has recently been more making forays back out in to the public, albeit virtually unrecognizably due to the amount of weight she has gained. Having been served with a subpoena recently in the defamation suit filed by Zenaida Gonzalez, Anthony has been forced to find new digs. Gonzalez is suing after Anthony told the cops that a woman with a similar name to Gonzalez’s – Zanny the Nanny – had kidnapped Caylee. The private investigators were attempting to serve her with a subpoena to appear at the trial, which is expected to begin in January 2013. “Casey had been venturing out at night and the investigators had been tipped off by people that had seen her,” said a source close to her. “Casey is a smart girl and quickly determined that she had been found and refused to leave the house or accept service of the subpoena.” “The P.I.s weren’t stalking her, they just wanted to serve her and move on.” Anthony’s lawyers soon accepted the subpoena on her behalf. “Casey was extremely upset that she had been found because she had settled into a routine and felt safe in South Florida,” the source adds. “Her lawyer advised her that she needed to move for her own safety, though; Casey is hopeful that this will be the final move before her probation ends.” At which point, it’s Costa Rica time … hopefully forever.

Virginia Welch to Play Casey Anthony in Lifetime Movie; Holly DeVeaux Replaced

Casey Anthony’s getting a new look on Lifetime. A week into the filming of the network’s movie Imperfect Justice , the role of the woman acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter has been re-cast. Holly DeVeaux has dropped out of the project and has been replaced by Virginia Welch, whose resume includes several independent films and commercials. According to a source close to the production, the decision for Holly DeVeaux to leave the production was mutual as both sides felt it wasn’t right. “Holly moved on; they recast the role ,” says a source close to the upcoming production. “This is one of those decisions that happens all the time.” “Holly was good and very talented; it just didn’t work.” Think Welch (above), will make a better Casey Anthony than DeVeaux (below)? We’ll have to wait and see, but the physical resemblance is there. Casting also includes The Office ‘s Oscar Nunez as defense attorney Jose Baez. Kevin Dunn and Marina Stephenson Kerr will play Anthony’s parents. Rob Lowe will play prosecutor Jeff Ashton. “It’s flattering,” Ashton recently joked. “They clearly weren’t going for someone who looks exactly like me.”

Kim Kardashian: Life is Good!

Don’t be fooled by the red carpet appearances with Kanye West … or the revealing magazine covers … or the fact that she gave the following interview while hosting a pool party in Las Vegas. Kim Kardashian swears she’s all about maintaining her privacy these days! “I’ve kind of tried to adjust my life to have a little more private life,” Kardashian told People , A NATIONAL MAGAZINE, over the weekend. “My life is very public and so I get that, but if you can choose to have a little bit of a private life I would choose that over other things now, where I probably wouldn’t have before.” While Kim didn’t mention West, nor any of the rumors that they may move in together , she did tell the publication that she’s doing better than ever. “Life is good,” she said. “I’m super relaxed.” And annoying, she forget to add. Super, super, super annoying. [Photo: WENN.com]

Casey Anthony to Leave U.S. For Costa Rica?

Casey Anthony wants to leave Florida as soon as legally possible and is eyeing a move to the central American paradise of Costa Rica, according to reports. Anthony has been in hiding since she was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, but has recently been making forays back into the public. Virtually unrecognizable due to the amount of weight she has gained sitting around doing nothing, she is soon planning on leaving the U.S., and for good. She would have fled already, but Anthony is on probation for one year after pleading guilty to check fraud and is required to live in Florida during that time. Once Casey’s probation ends later this summer, she plans on ditching the sunshine state for Costa Rica. She is “counting the days,” according to sources. “She has been researching countries that she could move to and Costa Rica is at the top of the list,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online . “Casey wants to live in a tropical setting and the cost of living is extremely low in Costa Rica. She wants to put as much distance as possible from Florida.” “She feels this is the best possibly place to start a new life. Costa Rica also appeals to her because Americans are warmly embraced by the locals.” Not sure that applies to accused child-murderers, but whatever. There’s one additional holdup, of course. She is still being sued by Zanaida Gonzalez for defamation after Casey said a woman with that name kidnapped Caylee. According to reports, Casey Anthony is “annoyed” and dreading that she has to testify at the upcoming trial, even if she can blame only herself.

Casey Anthony: Embracing Fatih, Getting Baptized!

The accused, acquitted and infamous “Tot Mom,” Casey Anthony is embracing religion and plans on getting baptized soon, according to a new report. Anthony, 26, wanted to do something to “signify a new beginning in life.” “Casey has planned to get baptized sometime this month,” an insider said. “She figured getting baptized would be the best way start this new chapter.” Last July, Casey Anthony was – to the surprise and dismay of millions – found not guilty in the murder trial of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Her deceased little girl is another big reason she’s reached out to God. “Casey believes that Caylee is with God now and wants to ensure her own salvation so that she’ll see her daughter again someday,” the source said. Fearing for her life, but required to remain in Florida as she completes probation (for check fraud), Anthony has been in hiding for nine months now. The only glimpse into her life since has been from her leaked video diaries , which she showcased a new hairstyle, a nose ring and her new puppy. “I’m just really starting to feel good about a lot of things. It’s about time,” Casey said in one clip. “I’m really starting to like the way things are going.” “I’m just so happy . I’m really happy.”
