‘LHHNYS8’ Reunion Recap: Safaree And MariahLynn Had A Thing Going On In A Bath Tub

Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty Love and Hip-Hop New York Season 8 finally comes to a conclusion with the second part of the reunion special. Tonight’s episode starts with Snoop running up on Lames James R. Remember, he took shots at her sexuality, which could be a trigger. That is something that one might run up on someone for but in a twist of events, it turned out that Snoop was actually just bluffing. She pretended that she was going to run up on him but siiiiiike! She turned a messed up moment into something funny. Lames James R is still foul though. via GIPHY Anais is a hot mess and will always be a hot mess. She even says that she is who she is and that’s what she’s always gonna be. She’s probably one of the least delusional people on the franchise. via GIPHY And then, we get a surprise! There was archived footage of Mariahlynn and Safaree cupcaking in a hot tub! Yup. Remember when Mariahlynn told Dreamdoll that she was going to steal Safaree from her? Welp, she tried. They got steamy in the hot tub, but according to the guilty parties involved, it didn’t go beyond a kiss. Meanwhile, Dreamdoll couldn’t care less, she describes this as “Safaree being Safare” and JuJu claims that she couldn’t care less, but you can see in her face that she’s a little hurt. However, she also said this this is exactly why she can’t take Safaree seriously as a love interest. And we had such high hopes for those two. via GIPHY Finally, Bri clarifies the temper tantrum she threw when her verse wasn’t on the “Paradise” remix. So, what had really happened was that Jaquae was doing the mixing. Jaquae said he never got Bri’s verse. Bri said she did send the verse so maybe it went to his spam box. In hindsight, Bri realizes it was just miscommunication, but she thought she got played given that Kiyanne and Jaquae were a couple. Speaking of the latter, it seems like they’re still going hard in the paint. And that’s a wrap for season eight of Love and Hip-Hop New York.” Hopefully, next season will be a little more interesting. Beyoncé’s IVY PARK Spring/Summer ’18 Is Here And Totally Awesome

To many, Beyoncé is a prime example of feminism and bridging the gap that a woman can have everything a man has. She’s constantly spoken out on the power of women, of womanhood, and empowering your fellow sisters. She’s shared videos tributed to feminism, and has even signed an open letter calling for gender equality. One thing is for sure, Bey uses her platform to raise awareness that there STILL is an issue in how women are viewed and treated. Related : All The Details On Beyoncé’s 2018 NBA All-Star Courtside Look She even has athletes, like Risqat Fabunmi-Alade , and singers, like IAMDDB , in the campaign, supporting the message of being “Strong Beyond Measure.” There’s also cheerleaders from Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders , a charity youth program, featured in the campaign. Undoubtedly, showing a variety of women in the campaign supports the mission idea that women are not monolithic — we’re so diverse and are literally part of every industry, faction, and genre there is. The new line is already available at Topshop , and honestly, you probably will drop all your coins on the line if you’re not careful. We’re cheering on Beyoncé and the countless women using their platforms to make change, showing badass women and just how dope we really are. Urban One Founder Cathy Hughes Addresses WKYS Prank, Hosts To Take Week Of Healing To Refocus

Cleavon/WKYS Cathy Hughes Issues Statement Regarding Danni Starr On Air “Ambush” There’s been a resolution! Remember the on-air drama that ensued between DC’s WKYS The Fam hosts Danni Star r, QuickSilva, and DJ 5’9 this week after Danni Starr was “ambushed” by her co-hosts who invited a woman she denied a babysitting job to the show? Urban One founder Cathy Hughes has issued a statement regarding the drama, showing her support for a fellow woman in media. Yesterday I co-hosted The Fam on WKYS 93.9 FM in Washington D.C. with the female talent of this station as an act of solidarity to support the show’s co-host Danni Starr who was placed in an embarrassing situation on live radio Thursday – International Women’s Day. The aftermath of this emotionally charged interaction became national news and has played out on social media for the past 48 hours. After a full investigation, I’ve learned this incident was a radio prank ‘gone bad.’ None of our talent were adequately informed or prepped to have effectively executed this prank on Danni Starr. We have taken the necessary steps to resolve this matter. I agreed with Danni Starr’s expressed public sentiments that QuickSilva and DJ 5’9 are good guys who would never deliberately harm her or intentionally cause her embarrassment. I stand firmly behind The Fam and will be providing the team a time of healing and refocus so they can continue to entertain, inspire and inform our listeners in the morning. To that end, next week’s show will be hosted by KYS DC’s afternoon drive personality Angie Ange and Baltimore Q92’s Konan, who himself is DC homegrown. Once again, I apologize to our listeners who had to experience this most unfortunate incident. I appreciate your continued support of WKYS, but more importantly our talent, Danni Starr, QuickSilva and DJ 5’9. I’m prayerful we all will emerge a stronger family. Best wishes to the WKYS team and salute Cathy Hughes for stepping in and being a great leader.

ABC Has Indefinitely Postponed A Political ‘Black-ish’ Episode Citing “Creative Differences”

Eric McCandless/ABC via Getty Images ABC Pulled A Black-ish Episode 5 Days Before Air ABC’s series  Black-ish  is known for never backing down from controversial social and political issues, but that wasn’t the case when it came to airing a recent episode. The network has indefinitely postponed what seems to be a pretty sensitive episode over certain “creative differences” with the showrunner Kenya Barris, according to  Variety . At the moment, ABC doesn’t have any plans to air the episode or make it available at all. The episode is titled “Please, Baby, Please” and was initially scheduled to air on February 27. But five days before the airdate, it was announced that the episode wouldn’t air and would instead be replaced with a rerun. ABC didn’t reveal why the adjustment had been made or when the shelved episode would actually air. An ABC spokesperson told  Variety,  “One of the things that has always made ‘Black-ish’ so special is how it deftly examines delicate social issues in a way that simultaneously entertains and educates. However, on this episode there were creative differences we were unable to resolve.” The episode titled, “Please, Baby, Please” shows father Dre (played by Anthony Anderson) with his baby boy while a thunderstorm keeps the whole family awake. Dre improvises a bedtime story that eventually reveals his anxieties about some of the issues facing the country. The episode also discusses the rights of football players to kneel during performances of the national anthem. “Given our creative differences, neither ABC nor I were happy with the direction of the episode and mutually agreed not to air it,” Barris told  Variety . “‘Black-ish’ is a show that has spoken to all different types of people and brought them closer as a community and I’m so proud of the series.”
