Kourtney Kardashian: Sofia is a Better Girlfriend to Scott Than I Ever Was!

While it may be true that Scott Disick didn’t fully appreciate his family before it fell apart, he’s all about family these days. Dating Sofia Richie seems to have made him into a better man and a better father. And no one is more aware of that fact that Kourtney Kardashian. Us Weekly spoke to an inside source about how Kourtney Kardashian really feels about her baby daddy’s very serious romance with Sofia Richie. “Kourtney thinks Sofia brings out the best in Scott,” the insider reveals. While there’s a lot to be said about whether women should be responsible for a man’s behavior … we have to say that she’s right on the money. “And,” the source shares, Kourtney “is happy for them.” Considering that she has every right to be resentful that he couldn’t get his act together when they were together, that’s very gracious of her. “Kourtney and Sofia share a common background and lifestyle,” the insider observes. “And,” the source adds. “Sofia is easy to get along with.” That is great to hear, though unsurprising. Aside from the people she dates, she’s never really at the center of much drama. The insider elaborates, saying that Sofia is easy-going “and is a normal girl.” Right, just a normal world-famous young model whose dad is Lionel Richie. Normal. “Everything is positive with Sofia and Kourtney right now,” the source continues. That is great to hear.  “The family is in a really good place right now,” the insider observes. It can be difficult to reenact the lyrics to Gwen Stefani’s “Cool,” but Kourtney is managing it. “And,” she source divulges. “Wveryone views Sofia as being part of the family.” With an insular group like the Kardashians, that is no easy feat. But apparently Sofia is just another cog in the Kardashian machine these days. “Sofia is integrated into their lives,” the insider explains. Getting along with Kourtney and with the kids is a huge part of how that has worked out. “And,” the source reports. “They’re closer than ever before.” Modern families can be very complicated (so could not-so-modern families be, by the way). When you make it work, it works. The first priority, of course, are Kourtney and Scott’s three kids — Mason, Penelope, and Reign. “Kourtney and Scott are coparenting in a great way,” the insider praises. “Scott and Kourtney realize it looks weird from an outside perspective,” the source acknwoledges. “That they have stayed so close as exes. “But,” the insdier points out. “It works for them.” It certainly seems to be. And the addition of Sofia seems to have, if anything, calmed the waters instead of making things worse. The report also goes to great pains to shut down rumors that Kourtney has mixed feelings about how well Scott and Sofia work together. “Any rumors about Kourtney thinking it’s ‘bittersweet’ …” the source begins. The insider continues: “that Scott has been able to be the partner to Sofia that he wasn’t able to be for Kourtney.” The source concludes by strongly affirming that these “are strictly rumors.” Feelings are complicabed, but it is 100% possible to get over your ex while interacting with them every single day. And how could Kourtney not feel happy that the situation is the best that it could be for her three children? View Slideshow: Kourtney Kardashian Accused of Promoting Incest with Creepy New Photo

Karrueche, Offset, & More Watch Pyer Moss Salute Blackness At NYFW Runway Show

Source: KENA BETANCUR / Getty Celebs & Fashionistas Packed The Kings Theater in Brooklyn For Pyer Moss’ Highly-Anticipated Collection Debut Pyer Moss’s third collection runway debut reveled in the beautiful struggle of the Black Experience at New York Fashion Week. Throngs of fashionistas packed the Kings Theater in Brooklyn Sunday night for the unveiling of the third installment of Pyer Moss’ “American, Also” collection, “Sister.” The brand, headed by creative director Kerby Jean-Raymond, turned the show into an almost spiritual experience: the evening began with a rousing speech telling guests to throw off the psychological shackles of slavery and oppression and declare themselves free. Source: Dominik Bindl / Getty Then a band, clad in all white, took the stage to accompany a full gospel choir, that sang everything from Donny Hathaway’s “Little Ghetto Boy,” to Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love” to Adina Howard’s “Freak Like Me” as the models hit the catwalk. Source: Fernanda Calfat / Getty The celebration of blackness was everywhere – and especially in the clothes. All of the models were black and brown and their outfits bore touches like Sankofa bird patterns, abstract prints of black life, and satin finishes and bell-bottom designs that were reminiscent of 1970s Blaxploitation movies. One standout was a billowing canary yellow satin gown with a deep v-neckline with cape-esque sleeves and an open back detail. Source: Fernanda Calfat / Getty Pyer Moss also collaborated on some of the looks with American designers including the black-owned Sean John and Richard Phillips. The fashion show brought out the likes of Karrueche Tran and Victor Cruz, Chris Bosh and his wife, Adrienne, Offset (in a lime green suit), Saweetie accompanied by an iced out Quavo, Terrence J and a white Du-Rag clad Jidenna. Singers Justine Skye and Normani Hamilton sat front row, while ASAP Ferg mugged for the cameras and a shirtless Slick Woods and Joey Badass shared a laugh. Man Scams Women Out Of $2.1 Million Using Online Dating Sites

See the rest here:

Source: Owen Franken / Getty Various online daters were the victims of a stone cold scammer who pocketed $2.1 million. According to USA Today , a New Jersey man named Rubbin Sarpong allegedly conspired to scam more than 30 people out of money using false U.S. military identities. He appeared in Camden federal court last Wednesday on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito.  Court documents say that from January 2016 to September 2019, Sarpong and several co-conspirators — many who live in Ghana — reportedly started dating profiles on a number of sites using fake or stolen identities. They posed as U.S. military personnel stationed overseas who needed non-existent gold bars shipped to a U.S. location. Their story explained that military personnel in Syria were awarded in gold bars. “They contacted victims through the dating websites and then pretended to strike up a romantic relationship with them, wooing them with words of love,” reads the criminal complaint. In order to ship the nonexistent gold bars, the conspirators asked their newly wooed lovers for money and they explained that they would reimburse the victims once the gold bars arrived in the U.S. In one instance, a conspirator insisted that he was a U.S. soldier stationed in Syria who had secured bars worth $12 million and needed assistance bringing them over. He sent a woman a false airway bill showing that two trunks with “family treasure” would be sent to her. He included a fake United Nations Identity Card that identified him as a UN delivery agent and an Israeli citizen. The woman wired him more than $93,000 and they had plans to rendezvous at the Baltimore/Washington International Airport on June 13, 2018. The following day, she died by suicide. Investigators say that Sarpong and his accomplices used various email accounts and Voice Over Internet protocol phone numbers to communicate with victims and tell them where to wire money. Every now and then, victims would also send money via personal and cashier’s checks. After payments were received, the funds were withdrawn in cash, wired to other domestic bank accounts and wired to conspirators in Ghana. The ultimate scam. Sarpong was even bold enough to flaunt his earnings on social media, according to authorities. He was found posting picture of himself with large wads of cash, high-end cars and expensive jewelry. At one point in March 2017, he even posted a photo of himself lounging in a car with a stack of money up to his ear like a cellphone with the caption that read “WakeUp With 100k… One Time. Making A phone Call To Let My Bank Know Am Coming.” He also posted a photo of himself with an unidentified male back in December 2018, writing “BigBusiness Done…Now We Waiting For The Checks To Clear,” according to authorities. Sarpong reportedly received $823,386 throughout the whole scheme. Now, he faces a $250,000 fine and up to 20 years in prison, according to Carpenito.

Tenisha Light-Caba Of Brooklyn Bleu Is Making High-End Vintage Jewelry Affordable For All

Link:

Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB From the moment I stepped in Brooklyn Bleu , I was impressed. Actually, make that the moment I grabbed the door handle. Even from outside, I could tell that I wasn’t stepping into your ordinary vintage jewelry spot. When I entered, I felt like embraced, not only by the woman who greeted me at the door, but also by the atmosphere. There were splashes of pink, lots of gold, and the sounds of women fawning over shining jewels. The woman behind this dream of a shopping experience is Tenisha Light-Caba. The entrepreneur, who stood in the midst of all of the excitement in a jean Fenty dress , lucite heels and her own vintage Chanel earrings and gold link bracelets fashioned into anklets, started the business in 2010. However, she has been selling vintage jewelry since she was a kid living in California. “I had rummage sales every weekend, making money selling my grandmother’s jewelry,” she told me. “Then it became my chore to clean another grandmother’s jewelry. One would let me make money at the rummage sales selling the jewelry right in front of the house. I would set up a little table, but I wasn’t selling lemonade, I was selling jewelry.” View this post on Instagram Show me Love, Keep all Those Other Vibes for Yourself! Wearing #chanel #vintage #lindaevangelista #1993 #chanelbelt @brooklynbleuny A post shared by Brooklyn Bleu (@brooklynbleuny) on Dec 17, 2018 at 3:11pm PST She’s long past the days of getting her pieces from her grandmother. Nowadays, Tenisha works with private collectors who’ve been in the business for decades to pull together her one-of-a-kind collection, which she’s been able to put in her new store located in The Oculus , otherwise known as Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan. “I tend to like to work with the same people. This is how I’m able to get my hands on the good stuff. I take care of them, they take care of me,” she said. “They have a lot. They have more than what I could ever afford to buy. Where they get it from? Who knows.” Her collection has expanded greatly, taking her from her early beginnings of selling in a brownstone, moving on to Chelsea Market, to eventually having her own space, one of the few minority-owned businesses in the Oculus. “We first started our business in a historic brownstone in Brooklyn,” she said of her journey. “I’ve never had the space. I’ve usually worked at an artisan market. This is the biggest space I’ve ever had. This gives me a chance to really shine, have lighting and really make it my own.” It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it’s been a successful one. During her days working at markets like Artists & Fleas and Top Shop on 5th Avenue, Tenisha broke records for her sales. “I worked,” she said. “I put the work in. It’s been so many things that happened in the world over the past 10 years and in that time, I’ve had my business full time. I’m independently funded. I don’t have investors. Now I have payroll and I have employees.” Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB What you’ll find at the store is pieces dating back from the ’30s and ’40s. Items from big name fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, as well as daintier, unique items from all over. The good news is, everything is affordable, but there are items specific to every wallet. For instance, she has inexpensive earrings and necklaces from the ’70s, her “Dainty” and “Re.Fresh” collections. They are old stock that she received from a collector who had a wholesale business in the 1970s, and she replated everything to give it a fresh look. They are being sold between the $20-$40 range. The wide-ranging prices are part of Tenisha’s hope to make people from all walks vintage fans — and welcome when they visit Brooklyn Bleu. “I want people to feel welcomed, to feel like they’re at home. I want them to feel comfortable and good — just as good when they leave,” she said. “That’s the experience they get when they walk through the door, that’s how people treat them, that’s courtesy. That’s being professional and knowing what you have to offer as well. I have to train and work really hard with my staff too so they can pass on that same experience.” She also wants people to know that Brooklyn Bleu will be flexible. If you get a piece and for some reason you need to return it (allergies, any other unexpected issue), she welcomes it back. Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB “If someone’s not happy with the piece, it doesn’t make me happy for them to have it,” she said. “I’d rather get it in the hands of someone who’s going to really enjoy it.” With that being said, it’s rare for such a thing to happen with Tenisha’s collection of pieces. You’ll understand when you step in the space and find yourself mesmerized by the statement necklaces, quirky rings, avante-garde earrings, delightful vintage mirrors and ornate bags. Especially at the cost. “It’s important to offer pieces that are accessible and vintage,” she said. “When I go to a place and it feels like everything is just too expensive, it’s like, ‘I thought I was making good money! I can’t even afford this.’ I didn’t ever want people to feel that in here — and they don’t. We have customers who take four and five pieces. Most customers take more than one item.” Brooklyn Bleu is now open and officially located at The Oculus World Trade Center: Church Street, New York, NY 10006

Fade Served: McDonald’s Employee Choked & 2-Pieced A Customer Mad About Cold Fries

Go here to read the rest:

Source: picture alliance / Getty Fast food chains continue to be hotbeds for hotheads even without chicken sandwiches on the menu. Over the weekend, a McDonald’s employee put hands on a costumer while vacationing with his wife in New Orleans. WWLTV is reporting that the altercation took place after the customer (who wants to remain anonymous) complained about his food order. After being given cold french fries, the customer tried to give them back for a hot and fresh batch, but admits that he was sort of a jackass about it and the employees noticed. The customer admitted he had an attitude when he told the workers he wasn’t happy, but can’t explain the violence. “If I could make sense of it I’d tell you, but I don’t have a clue,” he said. “The customer is always right, even if he’s wrong.” Eyewitness News went to that McDonald’s and found the employee still working there as of Tuesday. We asked the employee for his side, but he didn’t want to talk until he spoke with his employer first. “I’d like to see that guy in jail,” the customer said. The franchise owner provided a written statement to WWL-TV that said “the behavior seen in this video is not what I expect from my employees, we are conducting a thorough investigation of this incident.”  NOPD is investigating, but at this time, no charges have been filed. In the video that’s spreading through social media as we speak, we see said customer getting choked up and rocked in the face before walking away. We get the whole “the customer is always right” logic but if this customer wanted to have it his way, he should’ve went to Burger King. This fool went and got bold at a restaurant where the slogan was once “You deserve a break today.” He got broken off alright…

Kylie Rae Harris: Late Singer Accused of DUI, Killing 16-Year-Old In Car Crash

Last week, the music world was stunned by the death of Kylie Rae Harris . The 30-year-old country music sensation was killed in a multiple-car accident while driving to a gig near Taos, New Mexico. A 16-year-old girl named Mria Elena Cruz was also killed in the September 4 crash. Now, in a shocking turn of events, police have revealed that Harris appears to have been responsible for the crash, and alcohol may have been a factor. “At this time I will say with most certainty that Miss Cruz was an innocent victim of this senseless crash caused by Ms. Harris,” Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe said during a recent press conference. While authorities have not decisively concluded that Harris was drunk at the time of the accident, they apparently have reason to believe that she was drinking on the night of the crash. The singer was arrested on DUI charges in 2017 and ordered to install an ignition interlock device on her vehicle, multiple outlets indicate. Previously, she had received a speeding citation. Police say speed was also a factor in last week’s accident. Rather eerily, Harris’ last Instagram post included this fond reflection of her life on the road: “I’ve been driving for almost 12 hours and you would think that’s so exhausting and boring but like, the last couple of hours driving through the mountains and remembering my place in the back seat as a little kid when my dad was making these treks here,” Harris said. “Like, it was the f–king best,” In another strange coincidence, Harris filmed a video just hours before her death, in which she spoke about the fact that several of her family members have died near Taos. “My grandparents lived here, my uncle still lives here,” she told the camera. “Literally, everybody that was here has passed away, except for my uncle, and including my dad.” Harris’ passing was confirmed in a statement released by her publicist last Wednesday night: “We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night. “We have no further details to share, and ask for privacy for her family at this time. Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music. “The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.” Our thoughts go out to the Harris and Cruz families at this difficult time. We’ll have further information on this developing story as more information becomes available. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam

Britney Spears’ Doctor Abruptly Dies Just Days Before Vital Testimony

After the frightening allegation of child abuse made public last week, fans hope that Jamie Spears will lose his convservatorship over Britney . But even as it looks like his tyrranical rule will come to an end, another complication has come up in the battle for Britney’s freedom. Just days before the court hears vital testimony, the doctor in charge of Britney’s care abruptly died. Dr. Timothy Benson was the psychiatrist responsible for Britney Spears’ long-term mental health care. On August 24, Benson passed away in Santa Monica. There has been no official release of the cause of death. But TMZ reports that, according to various sources, Benson died of an an aneurysm. The psychiatrist was 48 years old. So, within the next week or so, a court-appointed evaluator will deliver some important testimony. This is after spending three months burying themselves in all of the details of Britney’s life, care, health, and conservatorship.  The evaluator’s task was determining whether Britney’s healthcare was appropriate. (Or, rather, to present evidence and an expert opinion to the court so that the judge can make that determination) Obviously, Dr. Benson was extremely relevant to this topic before his extremely sudden passing last month. Raising questions about Britney’s medical care isn’t just some cheap tactic for discrediting Jamie Spears. Last spring, even Lynne expresed concerns, and filed with the court to remain in the loop on Britney’s health and treatments. Before that, Britney’s mom had never publicly expressed much interest in her daughter’s psychiatric care or conservatorship. Now, it doesn’t sound like she trusts Jamie to always act in Britney’s interests. She has even openly discussed what some would call conspiracy theories about the conservatorship manipulating Britney’s social media. The good news right now is that Jamie Spears will not be holding Britney’s leash for long. He has filed with the court to be relieved of conservatorship, passing down the reigns to Britney’s case manager, Jodi Montgomery. This move is temporary, for now, but has to do with the conservator being ultimately responsible for Britney’s children. You can’t responsibly look after Sean Preston and Jayden James if you’re not allowed near them. And Jamie is not permitted near them because he is under police investigation for allegedly assaulting Sean Preston. Child abusers should not be conservators, particularly when that means managing their alleged victims. Jodi is expected to remain in the conservatorship position until January, but it’s possible that Jamie will never regain that position. (Fingers crossed, folks!) One major factor will be the conclusions that the evaluator has drawn. (Not to speak ill of the dead, but Dr. Benson’s qualifications to treat Britney when he normally helps professional athletes … some people had questions) Another major factor will be the results of the criminal investigation into Jamie. Of course, given that the US justice system is genuinely not designed to protect children, the evaluator is more likely to have an impact. The #FreeBritney has been growing louder this year, arguing that her conservatorship has gone on longer than it should have. It’s not clear what “serious psychological problems” she may have that allegedly require a lifetime of micromanagement. Countless adults have psychiatric ailments and manage their own medications and behavior just fine. A lot of hopes from fans are riding on what the evaluator may have to say about what Britney really needs and whether she’s getting it. In the end, we all want what’s best for Britney and for her children. Of course, creepily, that’s probably what her terrible dad would say.
