The girls from Teen Mom & Teen Mom 2 became famous because of their babies, welcomed into the world at a very young age. You could say they were 16 and Pregnant. All of them. For better or worse, they persevered and went on and (in many cases) had additional ones! At parenting, some have fared well. Others, fared … not quite as overwhelmingly well. Perhaps it's fitting that Jenelle Evans welcomed her third child one day before Chelsea Houska had her second , as these girls run the gamut! We're not here to be critical (that's what Instagram is for). We're just here to break down the eight stars and their unconventional families. Unconventional, but beautiful and loving.
There are a lot of evil people in the world. According to some folks out there, we just elected one as President of the United States. But The Hollywood Gossip has gone ahead and tracked down what many would have to consider to be the absolute WORST person in the world: 56-year old David Grisham. He's the self-proclaimed leader of a religious fundamentalist group called “Repent Amarillo,” whose mission is to “preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and wage spiritual warfare on the demonic realm,” according to its Facebook page. He stopped by a mall in Texas over the weekend and heckled a bunch of children in line to meet Santa Claus, telling them that Saint Nick isn't real. That Santa guy over there is just a “man in a suit,” Grisham told these kids, after explaining to the camera that “Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins” and that it was time to “tell the truth” about Christmas. What happened when Grisham was confronted by a few men at the mall? What did he tell them about the grave “sin” parents were committing by lying to their sons and daughters about Santa? Farrah Abraham is as delusional as the day is long. And if there’s any doubt … just kidding, of course there isn’t any doubt that Farrah is delusional. Facts are facts, you know. But just in case there’s any confusion about exactly how confused this girl is, all you have to do is look at literally anything she’s ever said. For example, you can check out this latest thing she said about her Teen Mom OG costars. She kicked off her latest act of obnoxiousness by sharing this clip from tonight’s Unseen Moments special for Teen Mom. The clip shows Farrah getting into a shouting match with her neighbors for no apparent reason. She’s aggressive and mean and dumb, just like always . The saddest part though is when Farrah’s daughter, seven-year-old Sophia, hears her mother yelling and cheers her on. The poor kid actually called Farrah “the best mama in the world.” Farrah Abraham: It’s Official, She Ruined Her Daughter While the Farrah footage plays, we see the other moms — Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout — reacting to the horror. Amber Portwood in particular had strong feelings about the clip, which, by the way, MTV titled “No One Wins When You’re Neighbors with Farrah.” After she shared all this on Twitter, Farrah added “No one wins in general against me like miss piggy imitation but the stooges watch my reruns and unseen moments.” So not only is she bringing back the comparison of Amber and Miss Piggy — the one that Amber admitted she kind of appreciated, by the way — she also called the other moms “stooges.” She even added “Amber&catlynn take notes on how to be a good mom & a full time mother you need all the help you can get. #proudmom @sophialabraham [heart emoji]’s me.” After that, she tacked on not one, not two, but three laughing emojis. OK, so by “Amber&catlynn,” we’re going to assume she meant Amber and Catelynn — and she’s actually telling them to “take notes on how to be a good mom” from her? Boy, this is rich. One, Farrah is a terrible mother , as she’s proven time and time again. She showed it in the clip that started this whole mess. And two, what is she trying to say with that “full time mother” jab? Amber doesn’t have primary custody of her daughter, Leah, but that doesn’t make her a bad mother, and Catelynn is raising her kid, Nova, right along with her husband, Tyler Baltierra, so that doesn’t even make sense. Also, doesn’t Farrah leave Sophia with her parents all the time so she can go make “sex tapes” or whatever? Didn’t she leave Sophia for weeks just so she could film Celebrity Big Brother ? But hey, let’s not waste time trying to find logic on Farrah’s Twitter account. If you watched last night’s episode of Teen Mom: OG , then you know the hard times are still going for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Once considered the franchise’s most stable couple, Tyler and Catelynn have experienced more than their share of difficulties over the past 15 episodes. Much of their screentime was devoted to Catelynn’s rehab stint and emotional struggles, but the Baltierras were thrown a second curveball recently thanks to the difficulties experienced by Tyler’s dad. Watch Teen Mom OG Season 3 Episode 15 Online Last month, Butch Baltierra went back to jail not long after celebrating the one-year anniversary of his initial release. Butch has been in trouble with the law throughout much of his life, primarily as a result of his crippling substance abuse issues. The MTV cameras were rolling when Tyler received word that his dad was back behind bars. Check out that heartbreaking moment in the clip below: Tyler Baltierra: Dad Violates Parole, Goes Back to Jail The news came as a shock to viewers, as Butch seemed to be making a concerted effort to get his life back together. Sadly, Tyler wasn’t so surprised, as he’s seen his dad fall apart in the past. He opened up about this most recent experience during an interview with Dr. Drew Pinksy on Teen Mom: OG reunion special, airing December 5: “He was doing fine I guess and then he missed a parole meeting and his parole officer wanted to violate him so now he’s in jail,” Baltierra told Dr. Drew . “He’s supposed to be off parole in 90 days. He came back from his parole meeting the week before all excited and proud of himself.” Tyler added: “I know exactly what’s going on. I think he’s using. I think he used or he relapsed.” Tyler says there were signs that his father was using again in the weeks leading up to his imprisonment: “He was sleeping in later,” Baltierra said. “And not coming home a lot.” In the past, Tyler has severed ties with his dad as a result of his drug use. When Dream Kardashian was born on Thursday morning , she changed all of our lives forever. And that’s just the fact of the matter. Just look at that face. That hair. Those eyes. She’s a real cute baby, there’s a solid chance her life is already more exciting than yours, and her name is Dream Kardashian . She’s a revelation. She’s also, along with her big brother, King Cairo, allegedly inspiring Kylie Jenner to have a baby of her own. But like immediately. Kylie was so taken by Dream that she put aside her feud with Blac Chyna to tweet “I can’t stop looking at her. Congrats @robkardashian @blacchyna. She’s so beyond beautiful, a dream.” She’s also been babysitting King while Chyna’s been in the hospital having Dream — Kylie is dating Tyga, King’s father, remember, so she’s kind of like his stepmom. So it looks like Chyna’s kids have set off a storm inside Kylie’s uterus. According to an insider who spoke with HollywoodLife, “Kylie’s having the time of her life watching and bonding with King while Chyna’s been in the hospital.” “It’s given her a serious case of baby fever.” Oh, God … “She told Tyga she could see herself being a mother,” the source continued. “She explained to him that she wants to have a child while she’s still young so she can have the energy and stamina to keep up with the kid just like she’s keeping up with King!” “She’s been reading to King, playing basketball with him, making him healthy snacks and even helping him with homework.” And Tyga is reportedly on board with the idea of impregnating Kylie with a little sibling/cousin for King. “Kylie and King have a special connection,” another source explained, “and it’s really making her think of having a kid with Tyga.” “Tyga’s down. He told her one of his greatest joys is being King’s father and that he’s down to father a child with Kylie.” At this point, it’s worth noting that Kylie is just 19 years old, and her most stable relationship so far has been with her lip fillers . As cute as King and Dream are, and as good as Kylie seems to do with kids, now might not be the best time to have one of her own. She might want to wait at least a few more years, you know, so she can sow her wild oats and all that. Plus, in a few years she might be able to find a guy that’s not as gross as Tyga to get her pregnant. And that would be the real dream, now wouldn’t it? Catelynn Lowell has always been pretty open about how much she struggles with mental illness . She’s suffered from depression and anxiety, and after her daughter Nova was born, she had a pretty nasty time with postpartum depression. Yesterday, Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra went on The Doctors to talk about what they’ve gone through, and while we knew things were hard, we had no idea just how hard. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra on Postpartum Depression “Well, I started to notice her behavior shifting,” Tyler explains. “Not responding to conversations, sleeping all the time. I thought, ‘I think she’s really, definitely got postpartum.” “It just hit me all at once,” Catelynn adds. “I just started breaking down and crying, and I was like ‘I need help.'” But after a rehab stay and regular therapy, Catelynn says that she’s doing well these days. “I’m feeling really good,” she says, “I’m doing things to continue working on myself, as in therapy and seeing psychiatrists.” She also says that her doctors have been “lowering my meds, slowly and surely, and seeing if I’m feeling, and so far it’s been good.” When asked how Catelynn’s mental health affected their marriage, Tyler says “I think it affected it a lot.” A little bit of an understatement , but yeah, sure. Tyler said that it was hard because he couldn’t really understand what Catelynn was going through, and that he was thinking “It’s fine, just get out of bed, it’s not hard, just do it.” That’s some classic Tyler insensitivit y right there, but he did say that he started researching postpartum depression and he found out that it can be extremely severe for some women. “I think I probably handled it wrong,” he admits, “because I didn’t know, I was very naive.” “I didn’t understand it, so of course there was times where we were like, you know … I’ve maybe been a little insensitive, I didn’t really understand how it worked.” “Marriage is marriage,” Tyler concludes. “I mean, it’s hard.” But even though things were hard, Catelynn and Tyler both laughed when the divorce rumors were brought up. Tyler Baltierra Talks Dealing with a Depressed Spouse “I don’t even read any of the negative stuff,” Catelynn says. Probably a good plan. “We’re so used to rumors,” Tyler adds, “it’s like one day we’re adopting our little brother, the next day we’re getting a divorce.” So rest easy, friends, it sounds like their marriage really is OK, even if it looks kind of miserable on Teen Mom OG. Hooray?
Back in March, Catelynn Lowell checked into a rehab center to get help with her mental health issues, namely her depression and anxiety. She spent three weeks there, but sadly, she’s still been having significant problems stemming from her illnesses. And in this new sneak peek from next week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, it looks like things are coming to a head. Again: Catelynn Lowell Wants to Buy a Horse Things start off normal and fine, with Catelynn telling her husband, Tyler Baltierra, about her visit with little Nova to see some horses. She says that Nova wanted to get down and run around, but that she wouldn’t let her because there were so many horses around — cute, right? But then Catelynn mentions that she saw a horse for sale that she was interested in buying. And that’s when things got weird. “They had one of the ones there that I liked for sale,” she tells Tyler. “She’s $3,000 because she’s young, and she’s very, like, um … a broad spectrum, you can put little kids on her, you can put scared adults on her, and she does really good.” She goes on to explain that “It’s just first of all finding a horse that you like, and if I’m interested in one, then that’s when, you know, you call boarding facilities, see what they offer, how much they are, before you even buy a horse, and then you just kind of go from there.” Which might be a normal conversation, except it’s clear by the expression on Tyler’s face that he’s not even remotely interested in buying a horse, not even a little bit, not even at all. But he tries to be reasonable about it, and he asks Catelynn how much it costs to board a horse. She really tries to sell it here, telling him that some boarding costs as little as $100 a month, but a producer interrupts to mention that the guy they spoke with at the stables actually said boarding was $1,000 a month. Still, Tyler tries to find a way to politely end the conversation, this time by suggesting that Catelynn volunteer at some horse stables instead of actually buying a horse. “No, volunteering’s different though,” Catelynn sneers. “I want to be able to ride if I’m having a panic attack.” And there it is. Tyler still thinks volunteering would be good, because she’s be “right there, and it’s free, I’m just sayin’,” but she’s not having it. She insists that owning a horse would be much better for her, because that way she wouldn’t have to pay $30 whenever she had a panic attack to ride a horse that wasn’t hers. (It’s interesting to note that, at this point in the video, Nova takes off her diaper and runs into another room by herself. But sure, let’s keep talking about horses.) Good ol’ Tyler points out that it might make more sense to just pay $30 for each riding session instead of paying thousands and thousands of dollars to own a horse, and Catelynn actually laughs at him. After that, he gives up, and she starts repeating, over and over, that she will own a horse. It’s just a little bit unbearable. We feel for Catelynn, we really do, and it must be terrible to suffer from mental illness like she does. But let’s remember that, earlier this season, she bought a miniature pig , and that pig was a big part of what drove Catelynn to go to rehab. The poor animal squealed and squealed, like pigs do, but she couldn’t handle it, and she told her Teen Mom producers that she needed help. Catelynn and Tyler Argue Over Catelynn’s Depression (Again) So she went to rehab, she came back home, but she’s still been struggling with even getting out of bed in the mornings . But she wants to buy a horse? Things just aren’t looking great for Catelynn. That’s all.
Celebrity beefs don’t get much better than the ongoing feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift . Sure, we’ve seen more vicious and more violent feuds over the years, but the Cold War quality of this one is part of what makes it so entertaining. Over the past year we’ve seen Katy and Taylor master the art of subtle shade. Sure Taylor wrote an entire freakin’ song about Katy , but for the most part the hostilities have remained low key, yet unmistakable to the trained eye. Whether they’re firing low key shots in interviews or posting passive aggressive memes, the whole thing has been a joy to watch. These women have taken pettiness to a new level and we applaud them for it. Taylor has been keeping a relatively low profile ever since the Taylor Swift Hell Week over the summer that had many of Katy’s millions of Twitter followers reveling in what they believed to be the singer’s downfall. But Katy understands that the great generals of history didn’t relent simply because their opponent was on the run. Through it all she’s waged a much more subtle form of combat than Taylor, but she surprised fans by launching a full-blown smart bomb of shade on Twitter last night. Patton Oswalt may never get over the passing of his wife … … And quite frankly, we might not ever get over Oswalt not ever getting over his wife’s death. In a new interview, Oswalt broke his silence about his wife, Michelle McNamara’s, death , and the details about her passing are extremely upsetting. Patton told The NY Times that he’ll “never be 100% again,” and that his suspicions of his wife’s death are mostly directed toward an overdose. Though the coroner has not yet revealed the official cause of death, Patton believes his wife did, indeed, die of a drug overdose. “I have a feeling it might have been an overdose,” he said, and claimed that McNamara had taken Xanax before going to bed. “That’s what the paramedics there were saying while I was screaming and throwing up.” Are you screaming and throwing up yet, or just crying, like us? Oswalt said that at 9:40 AM the next day, he left a cup of coffee on his wife’s nightstand, as she was still asleep and lightly snoring. He claimed he returned to the room just before 1 PM, and found McNamara unresponsive , and after he called 911, said that paramedics pronounced her dead when they arrived. Oswalt said that he was so emotionally and mentally distraught, that he thought he was dreaming. “I was literally blinking, trying to get out of this,” he said. The worst was yet to come, however: telling his daughter, Alice. Oswalt admitted that he’d turned to drinking in the months since his wife’s passing. “I found out the hard way these past few months that alcohol really doesn’t help,” he admitted. “Depression is more seductive,” he said. “Its tool is: ‘Wouldn’t it be way more comfortable to stay inside and not deal with people?’ ” he asked. “Grief is an attack on life,” Patton continued. “It’s not a seducer. It’s an ambush or worse.” “It stands right out there and says ‘The minute you try something, I’m waiting for you.’ ” If that isn’t completely heartbreaking and day-ruining – life ruining, in Patton’s case – then we don’t really know what is. Hey, look, everybody, it’s a really positive, happy story about Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra from Teen Mom OG! … Nah, just kidding, it’s terrible and tragic and awful. Seriously, don’t even bother ever expecting anything nice from these people. You’ll only end up disappointed . So Catelynn and Tyler are Teen Mom’s longest-lasting couple by far — they’ve been together since they were 12 years old. Surely one of the reasons their relationship has lasted so long is because when Catelynn wound up pregnant when they were 16, they placed their daughter, Carly, up for adoption. Welcoming a new baby is hard for adults, but try to give a newborn to a couple of teenagers? No wonder they’re literally the only couple to be 16 & Pregnant & Still Together. But obviously placing Carly for adoption didn’t automatically free Catelynn and Tyler from any drama. Far from it. Carly’s adoptive parents , Brandon and Theresa, have always been very kind and accommodating to Catelynn and Tyler, but they’ve also always been very hesitant to allow their daughter, or even their daughter’s face, to be shown on television. Tyler in particular has had a hard time dealing with this. In an episode earlier this season , they received news that Brandon and Theresa didn’t want them to talk about Carly so much on the show, and Tyler absolutely flipped out. Tyler Baltierra Lashes Out at Carly’s Parents “It just doesn’t make any sense to me to be told what to say and what not to say,” he said. “I don’t want to live my life like that! I can’t!” “If they say ‘We don’t want you talking about the adoption at all on TV,’ ohohoho, then we’re going to have lots of issues,” he exclaimed. “That’s all I’m saying.” Tyler even said that he’d continue talking about Carly even at the risk of Brandon and Theresa cutting off contact between them. “My reasoning,” he explained, “is because I have sacrificed enough for you to have a family and that’s fine. I’ve come to terns with that and all that’s great.” “But I will not sacrifice my voice and what I think and what I can and cannot talk about on my daily life and my personal life — cameras or no cameras.” All this is a real good example of learning how to choose your battles — is it really more important for Tyler to talk about Carly on TV than it is to talk to her? — and that’s being proven in this brand new sneak peek for next week’s episode. Catelynn and Tyler Receive Bad News About Carly In the clip, Catelynn and Tyler meet with their adoption counselor to talk about how Brandon and Theresa haven’t been responding to their texts. Uh oh. The counselor said that she’d been in touch with Theresa, and she felt it was important to go over the paperwork they’d signed for the adoption. She said that they’d all agreed on an open adoption, and that Catelynn and Tyler had indicated that they didn’t want to have any face-to-face visits, but that there was an option for them to request a meeting with Carly at her parents’ discretion. Catelynn started breaking down at this point, asking “Are we done having visits with Carly forever? Until se’s 18 I’ll hear nothing from her?” “It is f-cking frustrating,” she said through tears, “because I was 16 years old when I made this decision.” It sounds like a tough position to be in, but honestly it also sounds like a decision they’ve put themselves in. Hopefully they’re able to work things out with Brandon and Theresa soon … we sincerely just cannot take more Catelynn and Tyler sadness .
