Hard Knock TV hosted its annual Hard Knock Hoops 3-on-3 Celebrity Basketball Tournament sponsored by Oberto Beef Jerky on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at LA LIVE. Hard Knock hosted sixteen teams made up of some of the industry’s top music artists, producers and media. This year’s players included Chris Brown, The Game, Taco (Odd Future), Quincy, Steelo Brim, Pac Div, Thurz, DJ Khalil, DJ Bizzy, Ben Lyons and other industry leaders. Participants played in style as they sported custom-made jerseys and gear by Undefeated. An exciting afternoon took place as onlookers including Louie Vito and Kelly Osbourne watched as contestants balled out on the court. Competition got heated in the finals as Chris Brown’s team and Chef Dubble’s team fought to take home the number one spot. Although Chris Brown and his team put up a good fight with a close game, the celebrity chef and his crew walked away as the champions of this year’s Hard Knock Hoops tournament. Peep more pics below:

Lil Wayne Gets Into Sports Management, Signs Cristiano Ronaldo When he’s not busy managing Christina Milian’s cakes career , Lil Wayne will be overseeing soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s affairs with his new business venture. Via DailyNews : Looks like Lil Wayne will have to start dropping verses with soccer references. The New Orleans rapper, an avid basketball fan who has spent time getting kicked out of Oklahoma City Thunder playoff games and giving bizarre interviews at the NBA All-Star Game, is starting his own sports management company, reports TMZ. His first client will be Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the gossip site. The international soccer star and Weezy are good friends, so much so that Ronaldo tweeted out a photo with the Prime Minister of Japan, among other politicians, and they were all throwing up the Young Money/Cash Money sign, used by Wayne and those on his record label of the same name. The report says Lil Wayne’s company will “handle Ronaldo’s sports management affairs in the Unites States” and will work with PolarisSports, which is affiliated with GestiFute and CAA, which represents newly re-signed Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony. Welp, good for Weezy! No word yet on what the new firm will be called, but we’re pretty positive he’ll wiggle the phrase “Cash Money” in there some kind of way.

Music industry insiders exclusively tell Confidenti@l that Jay Z has cut ties with John Meneilly, who helped build the “Empire State” rapper’s empire. According to one well-placed music industry insider, Meneilly didn’t want to go, “It wasn’t his choice.” Though a second source close to the split described it as “amicable and mutual” and says the agreement was made “a couple months ago.” While Jay Z has always been reluctant to call Meneilly his “manager,” he referred to his once trusted confidant as his “consigliore,” according to Forbes writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg, who literally wrote the book on the Brooklyn music mogul. According to US Weekly reports : John Legend has a startling lookalike, and the Grammy-winning singer’s doppelganger is a little baby named Caden! St. Louis native and proud aunt Rachel Ayanaw tweeted a photo of the adorable Legend lookalike on Easter Sunday, April 20. “My nephew looks like John Legend lol,” she wrote in the post alongside a pic of Caden strapped into a car seat. The little tot, 4 months, remarkably resembles the “All of Me” crooner, down to his chubby-cheeks and smiley expression in the photo. NBA’s All-Star Weekend is the class of all star events when it comes to professional sports. The weekend kicks off Friday, February 15th with the annual Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
