Source: Taylor Hill / Getty Kid Cudi is making big moves with “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris with a new animated music series coming to Netflix! Via THR The innovative series will showcase music from Cudi’s new album, which follows a young man on his journey to discover love. Cudi ( How to Make It in America, Westworld ) will write, star in and executive produce the series. The project, described as the first of its kind, hails from Barris’ Khalabo Ink Society banner, with the Black-ish creator on board to exec produce. Ian Edelman ( The After Party ) will reteam with Cudi on the show and will write and exec produce the offering.
Source: Red Music / Red Music According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , a Tarrant County court jury has sentenced Tay-K to 55 years in prison after he was found guilty of one count of murder in the death of Ethan Walker and pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated robbery. Tay-K, real name Taymor McIntyre was found guilty on the murder charge on July 19. During his trial, prosecutors referenced to his music video for “The Race,” a track which made the rapper a rising star and a controversial figure all the same. The victim, Ethan Walker, was shot and killed during a July 2016 home invasion involving Tay-K and six other individuals. Tay-K subsequently was arrested after the incident and placed on house arrest. However, he and a codefendant, Jalen Bell, cut their ankle monitors and fled authorities, leading to a nationwide manhunt. The video for “The Race” was filmed as the Arlington rapper evaded authorities. He still faces a number of charges for other crimes such as the murder of 23-year-old Mark Anthony Saldivar in a Chick-Fil-A parking lot in San Antonio as well as an assault of 65-year-old Skip Pepe in Arlington’s Cravens Park. In case you somehow haven’t heard, the Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun feud has been going strong for several weeks now. It all started when Braun purchased Big Machine Label Group, a deal that also gave him the master recordings to Taylor’s first seven albums. The beef has left celebs and industry insiders deeply divided, with numerous A-listers and prominent figures in the music biz loudly declaring their support for either side. Yes, Scooter may not be as famous as Taylor, but he’s just as rich, and arguably even more well-connected. Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Cara Delevingne and countless others have already been pulled into the fray. And now, a front-running Democratic presidential candidate has essentially been forced to pick a side. The very wealthy often host fundraisers for candidates they support — not only is it the ultimate status symbol (“Come meet the future president at my house!”), it also helps to curry favor with powerful politicians who might soon become even more powerful. Scooter hosted one for Senator Kamala Harris last week, and many of Taylor’s most ardent fans took to social media to express their displeasure with the presidential candidate. And it’s resulted in the worst Kamala Harris/music-related scandal since the California senator claimed she listened to Biggie and Tupac in college, even though the rappers would’ve been in middle school when she graduated.’ “I was SO excited for you as a democratic candidate, but if you so choose to go to an event held by @scooterbraun, a man whose arrogance mirrors our president’s, I can no longer hold onto my excitement and faith for you as a presidential candidate,” one Swiftie tweeted. “If @KamalaHarris thinks this will get her votes she is delusional and @scooterbraun is a thief who uses these women to advance his bank account…” another remarked. A user named @sandiegoleah even started a hashtag for the movement, tweeting: “@KamalaHarris please don’t do a fundraiser with @scooterbraun you will lose a lot of votes to @ewarren I want to support you but cannot if you associate with a bully and misogynist #IStandWithTaylor”. Early reports from Page Six indicated that Taylor herself commented on the situation, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The question now, of course, is — how will this affect Harris’ chances of securing the Democratic nomination. And the answer is, almost certainly not at all. We know there are those who believe Taylor could have prevented a Trump presidency simply by endorsing Hillary, but that’s obviously not true. If anything, the 2016 Election taught us the same lesson as the Taylor vs. Scooter feud — extremely rich white dudes can pretty much do whatever they want.

Back in April, David Eason shot and willed the family dog during one of his infamous fits of rage. He hid the evidence so well that police still suspect the whole thing was a hoax and a publicity stunt — but we certainly souldn't put it past him. Anyway, now that the dust has settled from Jenelle's custody battle (a direct result f David's decision to execute poor little Nugget), we're free to try and figure out what exactly happened that fateful night. And as expected, Davic comes off like a colossal douche. Check it ouy: 1. David and Nug By now, you know the story — feeling that his chidren were somehow in danger, David dragged the 11-pound Frenchie out of the house and shot it point-blank with a shotgun. 2. A Man and His Dead Dog Accounts vary, but it’s widely agreed that David believed the dog wad behaving too aggressively sho he went outside and shot it — while the children were at home. 3. Jenelle’s Choice Jenelle briefly left The Land after the shooting, but she quickly forgave David and returned home. 4. Losing It All Because Jenelle allowed David to stay in the home, CPS investigated and determined that the children should be removed and sent to live with relatives. 5. Mayonnaise Sandwich Time The incident also cost her her job on MTV, which was Jenelle and David’s sole source of income. 6. Elaborate Con? Police say they responded to gun shots being fired in an apartment complex on Carriage Court when they found the victim with gun shot wounds. Auriel Callaway was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police took 8 people in to custody in connection with the shooting, but no one has been charged at the moment. These are some of the highlights: Karlie and Joc clear some things up about the Houston trip. They didn’t have sex. However, Joc was inappropriate with Karlie. He flirted heavily with her and mentioned nothing about Kendra. Karlie apologized for her part in the situation and said she wouldn’t have disrespected Kendra if had Joc mentioned her. But, she’s on the couch with Joc and wearing his engagement ring so all is forgiven. Stevie J apologized to Mimi for blindsiding her with the news about his marriage to Faith…of all things to apologize about. Mimi doesn’t think Stevie is genuine. Then we revisit all the times Stevie, Ty and Mimi got into it. In short, Mimi and Ty are still on a different page from Stevie. It seems like he’s not going to be honest about his antagonistic behavior toward them. Speaking of family drama, CeCe, Momma Dee, Scrappy and Bambi seem to be on one accord. The grandmothers finally stopped beefing. But Erica Dixon is another story. She joins the group on stage and gets into how herself, Scrappy, and Bambi are not getting along. Rasheeda the Love Guru chimes in and tells them the obvious, which is that they have to start getting along for the sake of their kids. Then we touch on Karlie Redd’s drama with Mo. At first, when the season started she talked about how amazing he was. By the time the season ended, she mentioned that he’s verbally aggressive toward her, etc. We ended the show not knowing where they were but Karlie says they’re still engaged and working on their stuff. Mimi and Rasheeda are worried about her because they don’t think she is happy. Mimi and Rasheeda ain’t lying either. Then we touch on Karlie Redd and Pooh’s season-long drama about whether Karlie had a threesome with Pooh and her husband, Hiriam Hicks, or not. Karlie Redd got a lie detector test during the season (that we didn’t see on camera) and claims the test shows that She’s telling the truth. But you know what show this is. So, Vh1 gave Karlie their own test with their own polygraph expert, just in case Karlie is lying, and Nina Parker will read the results…next week. Yup, we got left hanging. In case your wondering, Pooh got one too but she used her own person so it’s not considered valid unless she uses VH1’s person. Pooh refuses to use Vh1’s person, so that’ that. Womp womp.
