Every action has a keynote; let Christ be that note, to which your whole life is attuned.” – Henry Drummond “Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life.” – Robert Flatt “The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world. Philippines Celebrates ‘Salubong’; A Unique Way of Welcoming Easter

Being a Catholic country, Philippines is making the Lenten season a holiday. It is week long commemoration of the life that Jesus experienced on His quest to the cross up to the day that He has risen. In every Philippine municipality, you could also find a catholic church wherein it houses the municipality’s patron saint. During Lenten Season, Easter celebration is the most festive among the days. Every catholic church will have the Salubong , a Tagalog term which means “meeting of two people”. It believed to be the meet up of the risen Jesus and His mother Mary. This meet up is done during the break of the dawn and a lot of people would gather to witness it as they catch flower confetti thrown by the singing children dressed up as little angels. These little angels would sing hymns as the meet up takes place and the lead angel, who is seated in a suspended chair decorated with flowers, removed the black veil of Mary. After the removal of veil, the angels will throw the confetti of flowers to the crowd. Afterwhich, the crowd will enter the church and attend the first mass of the day. This is how Filipinos welcome Easter Sunday followed by egg huntings and beach celebrations afterwards. Hard Boiled Eggs and Deviled Eggs to Celebrate Easter Sunday

Hard Boiled Eggs and Deviled Eggs to Celebrate Easter Sunday – In celebration of the Easter Sunday, people might be thinking of the Easter Egg Hunting and so as well with the Easter Bunny Tracker 2010. One of the best way to celebrate the Easter Sunday is to have an Easter Egg Hunting in where your kids can participate and enjoy the game as well. But the question is, when you are making hard boiled eggs, how long is a question that can make or break your hard boiled egg adventures. For most of us, making hard-boiled eggs seems simple: put eggs in boiling water for a certain period of time, and then pull them out. We have all had that question though. “Hard boiled eggs, how long do we cook you?” The answer can be very simple – about 15 – 20 minutes. However, if you want hard boiled eggs that aren’t tough and rubbery and don’t have a green ring around the middle, it is easy and can be done in less time than it takes to get payday loans. Hard boiled eggs dyed with pickled beet juice are one of the dishes that I simply must have for spring. I think certain holidays and certain seasons really cry out for specific food dishes. On the other hand, kids love to color them and make all different kinds of designs on them. You can do a search online and find some pretty neat designs for hard boiled eggs. Decorating your Easter eggs is one of the best and easiest things you can do this Easter Sunday. Now heres a recipe for you on how to prepare a Pepper Deviled Eggs: Ingredients: 6 hard boiled eggs, cooled and peeled 1 teaspoon whole pink peppercorns, divided 1/2 teaspoon whole white peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon whole green peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon caper liquid 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt Pinch sugar Preparation: Slice the eggs in half from top to bottom. Scoop the yolks into a medium mixing bowl and lay the whites aside. Place all of the peppercorns, except 1/2 teaspoon of the pink peppercorns, into a spice grinder and process until ground well. Add the ground peppers, caper liquid, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and sugar to the egg yolks and using a fork, stir to thoroughly combine. Place the mixture into a zip top plastic bag and cut a small hole at one of the corners. Pipe the mixture into each of the white halves. Coarsely grind the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of pink peppercorns and use to garnish the top of each egg. Chill for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator before serving. Easter Egg for Hunting

Egg was a symbol for rebirth and life. Gradually, it took an added meaning that resembles Christ’s sealed tomb which is a symbol of faith and resurrection for Christianity. Many people used to celebrate Easter through egg hunting. There were events in different places just to enjoy easter. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have themed their annual Easter festivities “Ready, Set, Go!” – which will take place on the South Lawn for kids under 12 and their parents. It features live music, sports, storytelling and egg rolling. If you can’t go to that place, don’t worry because Recreation officials in Panama City Beach say the Easter Bunny is planning to visit the festival site at Frank Brown Park with 9,000 eggs this year. The Easter egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. sharp with sign-in starting at 9:30 a.m., said Cheryl Joyner, staff member with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. Enjoy Easter! Celebrate the central religious feast in the Christian liturgical year through egg hunting with the whole family! Easter Egg for Hunting is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

April Fool Pranks: List of Best April Fools Pranks for Work

April Fools Pranks: List of Best April Fool Pranks for Work – Part of the tradition on the world when April 1 is set to come is the April Fools day and expect that everyone will be a prankster today. Let us enjoy this day but make it sure that making pranks will be light-hearted and wont disturb nor even hurt your friends, families and colleagues. Here are some of the April Fools Pranks for work that I have collected which you may use now to enjoy the day: For Work: Yum! Cake: Cover a box with frosting and leaving the kitchen.  Watch as your co-workers attempt to take a slice! Mouse Trouble: Put a post-it over the ball of a mouse.  This will prevent the mouse from working and the victim will get very frustrated. Push/Pull: Put push/pull signs on the doors so that people are pushing when they should be pulling or vice versa.  Warning!  Do not do this prank on fire escape doors. Frozen!: Take a screenshot of a co-workers computer and blow it up on their monitor to actual size.  They’ll think their computer is frozen. For Home: Wake-Up Call: Hide the victim’s alarm clock and set it for 3am (or some other crazy time).  To take this joke a step further you can also unscrew the lightbulb so they have more trouble finding the alarm clock that’s beeping incessantly. Squirt!: An all-time classic prank.  Scotch tape the spray nozzle down so the next person that turns on the sink gets a squirt!  Here’s a tip:  Remember not to be the first person to turn on the sink! Slippery soap: Rub dish soap on your hands and then on the door knob to their room.  Watch as they attempt to get in!
