Betty White and Bradley Cooper Makeout on SNL 40: Hilarious or Horrific?

If you’re one of the millions of Americans who watched the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special last night, then you know one star-studded sketch stood out for its cameo-heavy absurdity and sheer audacity.  No, we’re not talking about the return of celebrity Jeopardy , although that was epic in its own right. (How we’ve missed you, Darell Hammond as Sean Connery!)  We’re referring to The Californians – a recurring soap opera parody that featured a surprising moment that was every bit as divisive as the sketch itself has been over the years: SNL 40 – The Californians Sure, guest spots from Bradley Cooper and Betty White are always welcome, but the May-December makeout toward the end of this clip left some viewers with a general icky feeling. We found it funny in a cringe-inducing way, and frankly, we thought Taylor Swift’s accent was much harder to watch, but some folks on Twitter found the moment to be in poor taste.  We can’t shake the feeling that some of the criticism may have stemmed from jealousy over the fact that at 93, Betty is still an in-demand entertainer who sucks face with A-list heartthrobs on live television. But hey, haters gonna hate – a fact we’re sure Ms. White has come to terms with after 70 years in the public eye. Here’s hoping she’s still around for a cameo on SNL’s 50th anniversary. Sorry, ladies – the reptilian heartthrob who’s captured millions of hearts is officially off the market. Benedict Cumberbatch married Sophie Hunter today in a small, private ceremony on the Isle of Wight in England. Cumberbatch and Hunter’s engagement came as a surprise to fans and friends alike when it was announced via a paid newspaper announcement back in November. In the months since, speculation about Hunter’s identity has given way to rumors that Sophie is pregnant with Benedict’s child . The couple has yet to confirm the rumor, but anyone who’s heard Cumberbatch gush about his bride in interviews knows that this is no shotgun affair. The church where the ceremony took place is believed to be over 1,000 years old. Mottistone Manor – where the couple held a small reception – has been owned by relatives of Hunter for hundreds of years. As for Cumberbatch’s obsessive female fans, the 38-year-old actor says Hunter is not the least bit bothered by the level of their devotion: “She’s just so in command of it,” he recently told People magazine. “It could be a difficult thing, but she’s just really cool. Last month, rapper Kevin Gates revealed that he has sex with his cousin in a series of Instagram videos that you really have to see to believe. If you were afraid that Gates wouldn’t be able to top that shocking admission, worry no longer. Here he is talking about the time he kicked a woman out of his house for refusing to have oral sex with his dog: Kevin Gates: Talks Dog Sex Things start off innocently enough (kind of), and for a glorious second, you think this will just be another case of a douchey rapper bragging about one of his sexual conquests. Savor that second, because you can never go back to the innocence you enjoyed before you listened to Kevin Gates talking about trying to get a woman to go down on his dog. “‘I’m not about to suck no dog’s d-ck,'” Gates quotes the woman as saying. “That’s a dog!” Sounds like a pretty reasonable argument to us, but Gates was having none of it: Kevin Gates Explains Women “What’s your sh-t smell like sh-t for?” Gates replied in the witty rhetorical fashion for which he is known. “I don’t get that.” In case you were wondering, “I don’t get that” is apparently some sort of catchphrase for Gates. Yes, the guy who’s best known for having sex with a blood relative and attempting to convince women to fellate his dog apparently often finds himself confused by the actions of others. Beverley Mitchell Gives Birth to Son!!!

Seventh Heaven? It’s more like Cloud Nine for Beverley Mitchell at the moment. The actress and husband Michael Cameron welcomed their second child into the world on Tuesday, with Mitchell announcing via social media that she now has a son. “Kenzie is proud to announce the arrival of her sweet baby brother, Hutton!” Mitchell alongside a precious photo of her daughter kissing the newborn addition to the family today. She added: “Thank you for all the love and well wishes!” Mitchell and Cameron got married in 2008 and became parents to daughter Kenzie in April 2013. Earlier this month, the actress opened up about motherhood while hosting an Operation Shower event at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. “[It’s] definitely a trip. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done! Dascha Polanco: Orange is the New Black Actress Criticized For Exchanging Her Cats for Kittens

In case you don’t recognize the name (And why would you?) Dascha Polanco is the actress who plays Dayanara Diaz on Orange is the New Black. The role was obviously her big break, but if the details of a story that recently leaked online turn out to be true, Polanco could soon be better known for her questionable treatment of pets than for her acting. Dascha stands accused of dumping her two healthy, well-behaved cats off at a shelter so that she could adopt two kittens. To make matters worse, witnesses say Dascha’s cats were dropped off in a beaten-up cardboard box with air holes poked in the side.  The actress had reportedly not called in advance to see if the shelter was accepting new animals and when a clerk told her they were unable to accommodate her cats, Dascha lost it and screamed, “Don’t you know who I am?” The shelter eventually accepted the cats, and shortly thereafter, Dascha began posting photos of two very young kittens on her social media accounts. Polanco has reportedly been added to the national DNA (do not adopt) list that’s circulated among shelters to identify irresponsible pet owners. Celebrities mistreating pets is nothing new, but the callous, public nature of Polanco’s behavior makes it unique…as does the indignant response that she posted on Facebook: “I walk with my head high and I’m nauseated by the ppl that bully and choose to express such hurtful words. So much progress to be done. #IEatBullies” So it looks like in addition to the “Don’t you know who I am?” card, Dascha is a fan of playing the “BULLYING!” card whenever she’s the subject of criticism.
