Lady Gaga. Born This Way. Country edition? Believe it. The pop star’s hit single may or may not be stolen from various other acts, but this version is all her – and unlike you’ve ever heard her before. The Mother Monster dropped the tune at midnight this morning. More laid-back and mellow than the original, it also features some new lyrics at the end. Listen to Gaga go country, with her usual disco-thumping beats replaced by laconic guitars, beautiful harmonica and seriously soulful crooning, below … Lady Gaga – Born This Way (The Country Road Version)
Diddy. Madonna. Cher. Prince. Oprah. Beyonce. Lindsay Lohan either fancies herself on par with these celebrities, or really hates her dad, or a combination of both, because she’s gonna ditch the “Lohan.” “Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay,” her mom Dina Lohan tells PopEater , and that’s not all. “Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan.” NO, LOHAN, JUST LINDSAY : Felon would also work … Lindsay had been thinking about dropping her surname for some time, Dina says, but at first thought that no one would recognize who “Lindsay” was. It was only after the infamous Super Bowl E-trade ad referring to a baby as “that milkaholic Lindsay,” that the actress knew she no longer needed it. Ironically, she bitched, moaned and even sued over that, but whatever. “So many of the top people in showbiz are known by one name. Look at Oprah and Beyonce. Now you can add Lindsay to that list,” a family friend said. More importantly, “It’s a way for them all to just start over. No one in the family want anything to do with Lindsay’s father [Michael Lohan] anymore.” MiLo has not yet commented, but he’s got a lot on his plate. Like felony domestic violence charges. Dropping the Lohan might not be so bad, Linds …
He insulted many Americans by labelling them ‘evil’ for not having a free healthcare system in a controversial magazine interview last month. So it looked like Canadian pop star Justin Bieber may have been attempting to make amends with his flamboyant choice of clothing in Nottingham today. Instead of the red and white maple leaf pattern of his native Canadian flag, the 17-year-old opted for a Stars and Stripes Onesie. I pledge allegiance to the flag… Justin Bieber flies the flag for his U.S. neighbours in a stars and stripes Onesie in Nottingham Spotted arriving at Nottingham on his tour bus ahead of his gig at the Trent FM Arena tonight, Bieber was wearing a £125 adult babygro from Norweigan firm OnePiece . OnePiece don’t make Canadian flag Onesies just yet, so perhaps Bieber was dropping a subtle hint by wearing the U.S. design. Last month, Bieber hit out the American healthcare system during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. ‘My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.’ Time to grow up? Onesies are modelled on the all-in-ones worn by infants Other celebrities seen wearing the Onesies and OnePieces include Rihanna, The Saturdays’ Una Healy and X Factor third placers One Direction. Bajan singer Rihanna was one of the first stars to go public in the not-so-trendy ensemble, at a recording studio in Los Angeles in April. One Directions members Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan were spotted wearing them to rehearsals in November, while Healy posted a photo of her wearing one at Christmas. Bieber’s My World tour originally started in the U.S. last June. He is scheduled to perform 11 more dates in the UK, before travelling to the rest of Europe, then Asia, Australasia and the Caribbean. The news of the Elizabeth Taylor’s death is difficult for any film fan — even if her New York Times obituary was so old that its writer died in 2005 . Now that you’ve read about her life , her great over-the-top performances , and best cameos , let’s give the mic to Twitter and allow five celebrities (who often know better than us) to highlight Ms. Taylor’s unmistakable presence. Take it away!
From horse movies to tabloid marriages to AIDS activism, the late actress left her mark. By Gil Kaufman Elizabeth Taylor in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” Photo: Hulton/ Getty Images Hollywood screen legend Elizabeth Taylor made her mark on the screen in the 1950s as one of the last of the great silver-screen superstars of the studio era. From “Cleopatra” to “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” the English-born actress captivated with her onscreen intensity and beauty, even as her chaotic off-screen love life became a staple of tabloid coverage. With Taylor’s passing on Wednesday (March 23) at the age of 79, the world has lost not only a great movie siren, but also a towering pop-culture figure whose influence ran well beyond her acting to philanthropy, fashion and American mores. Since her early days as an actress, Taylor had a striking look that became a model for women in the 1960s. Her pale, pearl-colored lipstick and heavily lined eyes became a style template for aspiring starlets and housewives alike, and the signature white chiffon cocktail dress she wore in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” opposite Paul Newman became a best-seller for designer Helen Rose. It was just one of many looks Taylor modeled in her most famous films that provided inspiration for designers over the years.

The 13-year-old singer’s ‘Friday’ video has amassed more views than Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way.’ By Jocelyn Vena Rebecca Black Photo: YouTube Whatever you may think of Rebecca Black, the girl is — dare we say it? — a star. She’s been a constant Twitter trend and she’s already beat Lady Gaga in YouTube views, as the official version of her polarizing clip for “Friday” has been watched more than 33.5 million times on the website. And now it seems that the 13-year-old is getting to cash in on her new-found fame. According to Forbes magazine the $2,000 Black’s mother shelled out to Los Angeles-based record company Ark Music Factory for the recording of the song and its lo-fi video has been made back many times over. By Forbes’ estimations, by the time the tune’s clip hit the 30 million YouTube view mark, everyone had profited $20,000 — a 1000-percent return on the original investment. In addition to the YouTube success, the song is being downloaded on iTunes, which reportedly pays 70 cents per single download, meaning that Black and her team could make upwards of $1 million. As of press time, “Friday” sat at the #33 spot on the iTunes chart. Black already has appeared on “Good Morning America,” where she defended her talents and her track and also shared that she’d love to work with fellow former YouTube sensation and teen idol Justin Bieber. She’s also had her song covered by Nick Jonas at a Jonas Brothers concert. “I think @nickjonas did an AMAZING job with Friday!” Black tweeted on Monday. “You’re amazing, Nick!” Despite being the target of derision by those who think that her tune and video aren’t up to professional standards, Black has received love and support from celebrities on Twitter. And she’s set to appear on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Tuesday night (March 22). What do you think about Rebecca Black’s success? Tell us in the comments. (Getty) Robert Pattinson (Getty) You might think Robert Pattinson and Justin Bieber are brothers in much-beloved hair, but it appears it just isn't so. Bieber recently told UK tabloid The People that he and Pattinson bonded at an industry party over their famous locks, saying, “One day Robert Pattinson came up to me at a party and said, 'For whatever reason, people love our hair and it's always a great ice-breaker with girls.'” “He is like, 'Hey, my name's Robert. Want to touch my hair?' I thought he was joking, but it really works.” Now Pattinson, who is hard at work promoting his upcoming film Water for Elephants , says that encounter never happened. He told MTV (via EOnline ) on Friday, “I've never met this guy. I saw that as well. I was like, 'You're really famous, man—what are you doing? You don't need to use me to make up stories!” Maybe Bieber was just embellishing for the sake of avoiding talking about his private life. Which is something you'd think Pattinson would understand, given the constant speculation about his relationship with his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart .
