Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom: HA! It’s a Failure Without Me!

Teen Mom OG returned to the air on October 1, with one very obvious change: Farrah Abraham is no longer a cast member. She was fired in February and replaced by two additions: Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd. How did the Season 8 premiere fare without this controversial reality star on board? Below, we relay the opening ratings and then we share Abraham's calm, cool and collected reaction to how the program is doing thus far without her polarizing presence… 1. The New Cast Here they are: Amber, Maci, Catelynn, Cheyenne and Bristol. MTV is banking on this quintet to draw in the ratings for Season 8. 2. Was the Premiere a Hit? Based on buzz, maybe. The Internet wrote a lot about Bristol and her marital problems. Based on ratings, however? Well… 3. Under a Million Viewers Tuned In According to Ratings by the Numbers, the Season 8 premiere drew in 957,000 viewers for its original airing at 9/8c on Monday, October 1. 4. Can We Compare This to The Season 7 Premiere? Of course. On November 27, 2017 — a premiere that featured Abraham in all her Farrah glory – 1.319 million viewers were viewing MTV to see what these women were up to. 5. As for the Season 7 Finale? That episode garnered 1.098 million viewers, meaning there was a pretty significant drop-off from those who were curious to see what Farrah was doing to those who tuned in for the debut of Bristol and Chyenne. 6. Was This Really a Reflection of Farrah Getting Fired? We mean… perhaps. There’s no real way of knowing. But ratings across the board have been dropping on television as streaming services take off, viewers have more options and the use of DVR explodes. View Slideshow

Ho Sit Down: Donald Trump Says Django Unchained Is The Most “Racist” Movie He’s Ever Seen – “It Sucked!”

Donald Trump Says Django Unchained Was A Racist Movie Motor-mouth meat head Donald Trump is back talking isht, but this time he surprised a few folks when he voiced his opinion on the controversial award-winning Tarantino film “Django Unchained.” via The Grio Believe it or not, director Spike Lee and conservative business mogul Donald Trump have something in common: They both hate Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. During a series of tweets he unleashed during last night’s Academy Awards, the polarizing reality TV star saved some of his most vicious words for the hit slavery-themed Oscar winner. “Django Unchained is the most racist movie I have ever seen, it sucked!” he tweeted. Trump further explained his objections to the film during an appearance on Fox & Friends. “I thought it was terrible and a disgrace,” Trump said, adding that when people “talk about guns and gun control, that movie — people should watch that.” Sounds like the Donald is salty that Django Unchained racked up so many awards at the Oscars last night. Or he could just be mad that he took a picture with his hair looking like that. Who knows.

Taylor Armstrong Wishes Brandi Glanville… Success?!?

Taylor Armstrong has apparently turned over a new, forgiving leaf. At least when it comes to Brandi Glanville. Talking to Us Weekly , The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills said she’s actually open to befriending Glanville, a stark contrast to past statement regarding her polarizing costar. “Brandi and I are just getting to know one another. Our relationship  absolutely ebbs and flows over the season,” Armstrong said . “There’s definitely a future there for us to work through some things.” Armstrong and Glanville went at it during the show’s season 2 reunion special after Glanville accused Armstrong of exploiting her husband’s suicide by penning the book “Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within.” But with Brandi now set to release her first (ridiculous) book – ” Drinking & Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders ” – in February, Armstrong has only positive things to say. “I wish her all the success… I didn’t live her life, so I’ll look forward to hearing her story and maybe we’ll understand one another better.” In related news, if you purchase either of these books, you may need to re-evaluate your life choices.

The Bay Trailer: Flesh-Eating Water Bug Horror, From The Oscar-Winning Director Of Rain Man

An outbreak of zombie-like symptoms plagues the residents of a waterfront town in The Bay , but I can’t get over the fact that Barry Levinson , the Oscar-winning director of Rain Man and the maker of such resume-tipping hits as Diner , Good Morning, Vietnam , Bugsy , and Wag the Dog is doing a found footage creature feature that doesn’t seem to offer terribly much new or fresh within the genre. Are things that bad, Barry? If you’d told me The Bay was simply another gimmicky wannabe horror hit from the makers of Paranormal Activity I wouldn’t have blinked twice. Maybe there’s some brilliant layered examination of humanity and the environment in how the nice white folks of Chesapeake Bay are being infested with gross waterborne roly poly bugs. This man made The Natural ! Sigh. I’m sure if interrogated, Levinson would cite some itch to explore new genres and filmmaking styles or step outside his comfort zone or whatever. His last theatrical release was the disappointing What Just Happened , and before that he made the Robin Willians comedy Man of the Year . Even that Gotti biopic is looking like The Godfather compared to this. But we shall see: The Bay screens at the Toronto Film Festival and opens in theaters on November 2. Add your thoughts below and while we’re at it, name your favorite Levinson flick that doesn’t involve flesh-eating bugs and shaky home video. Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Lana Del Rey, Screenwriter?

Born to Die singer Lana Del Rey didn’t exactly conquer the music world with her polarizing entree into showbiz (her SNL appearance will go down as one of the stiffest performances in the history of television), so maybe channeling all that smoky ’60s-tinged mannequin angst into another medium is the ticket: “When I was starting, I had a vision of being a writer for film and that’s what I am doing now,” Del Rey (real name: Lizzy Grant) told Vogue Australia. “I’m so happy… Hopefully I will branch into film work and stay there. That will be my happy place.” [ Vogue AU via NME , Screen Junkies ]

Watch Madonna and Her W.E. Cast Make Their Movie Seem Likable in 24-Minute Doc

I am obviously a thundering shill for Madonna whether she’s making terrible movies with her ex-husband or making terrible movies with Griffin Dunne , but there’s something about W.E. ‘s self-serious, accidental telenovela that’s not even watchably bad. It’s just humorless and overlong — though Andrea Riseborough is fabulous as the polarizing Wallis Simpson. In a new 24-minute documentary about Madonna’s big feature, the director and her cast do their best to sell their watercolored biopic, and I tell you what? They do a good job. Don’t ask me to explain it. But James D’A rcy still looks like Anthony Perkins, so shut up and start crying in adoration.

Lil B Unveils I’m Gay Album Cover

‘I just wanted to make this to show words don’t mean anything,’ B tells MTV News of polarizing title. By Rob Markman Lil B I’m Gay cover art Photo: Amalgam Digital Lil B is proud to be gay — or rather he’s proud to be happy, as stated on his new album cover, which he revealed Wednesday (June 15) exclusively on “RapFix Live.” After announcing that he will be titling his next album I’m Gay, the Based God received criticism from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and other rappers and even got death threats from fans . But despite all the hoopla, B’s album isn’t quite as alarming as many suspected it would be. The cover — which was done by the “Wonton Soup” rapper’s artist friend Uncle Grumpy — was made from scratch but based off of a 1970s Ernie Barnes painting titled “Sugar Shack.” The famous painting was used in the popular ’70s sitcom “Good Times” and as the album cover to Marvin Gaye’s 1976 album I Want You. Rap group Camp Lo also threw a nod to the classic work on their 1997 debut Uptown Saturday Night. The Based God, however, put a 2011 spin on the painting, which depicted a club scene that reflected one of Barnes’ childhood experiences. B took the painting and broke it down into three parts, showing the steps that people need to take to reach “mental freedom.” “Pretty much the album cover, you see it’s the three sides of the slavery, mental slavery and mental freedom at the ending where everybody is happy,” B said to MTV News. “The reason why I did the I’m Gay album, I really seen that the hip-hop community is being very close-minded and very hateful, very violent.” The Berkeley, California, rapper feels that his polarizing album title will help take the sting out of the word “gay” and eventually lead to global acceptance. “People use evil words, money, separation, stuff like that. I just wanted to make this to show words don’t mean anything,” he said. What do you think of B’s album cover? Let us know in the comments!
