We have an update on the condition of Ami Brown. Unfortunately, however, it is not a positive one. As previously detailed on The Hollywood Gossip and on episodes of Alaskan Bush People this season, the Brown family matriarch is sick. She’s very sick. She’s been diagnosed with lung cancer . On an earlier installment of the aforementioned Discovery Channel series, Ami’s husband said his wife was suffering from the Stage 3 level of this disease, but further tests may prove she’s in Stage 4. This would be the most severe type of lung cancer. It would mean Ami does not have very much time left. And while we cannot verify at the moment just which Stage Amy is at, a new photo shared on Facebook depicts the reality star in a wheelchair: “We found this recent photo of Billy, Ami and two lucky fans that was taken in California last night,” wrote son Matt Brown as a caption, adding: “We love Ami’s sweet smile! Don’t forget that Alaskan Bush People returns on Wednesday, Aug. 9th at 9PM ET on the Discovery channel. Have a great weekend!!” Ami has scarcely been seen out in public since her diagnosis. But her loved ones took her to California in order to receive treatment several weeks ago, a sure sign that things were not progressing well because the Browns are famous for almost never leaving their remote enclave in Alaska. “Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive,” Ami has said on air, trying to remain positive and adding: “They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road.” The situation is so dire that estranged members of Brown’s family are wondering if they’ll have a chance to reconcile before Ami dies . Even Alaskan Bush People producers, such as Sheila McCormack, have weighed in. “The radiation is five days a week for six weeks,” she said this week. “That’s the direct radiation, not the chemotherapy. After the radiation once a week she goes to another building and they put an IV in her and she gets chemotherapy for four hours.” As far as we know, the Browns remain in southern California while Ami undergoes this difficult treatment. Our thoughts remain with her throughout the ordeal. We hope we can end up including her in the following photo gallery when all is said and done: View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Beat Cancer
The first and most important news out of The Bachelorette: Men Tell All was, of course, that Dean Unglert is a clear favorite and would be perfect as the next Bachelor. We already knew that, because we have sense. Rachel Lindsay, looking back on Men Tell All and the entire season of The Bachelorette , is admitting that she regrets one decision — and would do it differently if she could. In an interview with Us Weekly , Rachel Lindsay says that if she could go back and change one thing, she would have kicked one of the suitors to the curb way, way sooner: “If I’m just honest, I’m going to be 100 percent honest, I’m just going to say one word: Lee.” That would be Lee Garrett, folks. You know, the one who got slammed for racism. “I would have sent him home sooner.” We should hope so. You might think that the first black lead on The Bachelorette (shameful that it took so many seasons, by the way) wouldn’t be an inviting bride for, you know, racists. But racism and reality television are both much, much more complicated than that. First of all, not everyone goes on reality dating shows to find the love of their life. They can’t all win, and they go into the show knowing this. Getting to appear on another show in the Bachelor Nation or even just getting more social media followers an exposure is an amazing opportunity. So long as they make a good impression. Lee Garrett did not seem like a good guy — we’re not sure what he was hoping for, unless he thought that The Bachelor was going to cast him to court Trump fans or something. As far as the idea of a racist guy trying to win the heart of a black woman goes, well, racism doesn’t make people blind. Having black friends doesn’t mean that someone isn’t racist. Having a black girlfriend or wife doesn’t mean that someone isn’t racist. (And yes, that gets extra screwed up when children enter the mix and one of their parents has all of these prejudices that apply to them, too) So … it’s sadly no surprise that Lee Garrett was competing for Rachel Lindsay’s hand. If you remember from our The Bachelorette : Men Tell All recap , Rachel Lindsay was part of calling out Lee Garrett for racism. During the special, Lee Garrett tried to defend his actions, which really didn’t help. During The Bachelorette , he kept getting into heated conflicts with other suitors. Those other suitors tended to have something in common with each other — they were black. Fans noticed. Just about everybody noticed. Lee’s excuse that he was “uncomfortable” and trying to “joke” to excuse his behavior … didn’t go over well. Lee wasn’t only controversial for his actions on The Bachelorette — he also got into trouble for his antics on social media before he even went on the show. Specifically, Lee Garrett’s racist tweets landed him in hot water with fans and on Men Tell All. (Dude, even if you’re going to tweet super offensive stuff for whatever reason, maybe go delete them before you become famous) They weren’t even old tweets that someone dug up — they were from within the last year. There’s just no excuse. Considering what those of you following The Bachelorette Spoilers already know, there are plenty of fans who think that Rachel Lindsay made a bigger mistake than letting Lee Garrett hang around. Not everyone, to be clear. But more than a few. Actually, you don’t even need spoilers to know that sending Dean Unglert home before narrowing her suitors down to three was positively foolish. But Lee Garrett had to go, as much because he and she clearly wouldn’t work out as to demonstrate to viewers how unacceptable he was. But, you know, hindsight is always clearer. And Rachel Lindsay didn’t know as much about Lee Garrett at the beginning of the series as she does now. In many ways, if there were viewers who saw some of themselves in Lee Garrett and his excuses, maybe his example served as a wake-up call to them about their own choices and behaviors. Still, we wonder if, in a year or so, Rachel Lindsay won’t have a larger regret about this season. View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Fans to Rachel Lindsay: Do NOT PICK Bryan Abasolo!
Kristen Stewart is no longer at the center of the celebrity gossip universe, certainly not in the way she once was back when she was dating Robert Pattinson. But the actress is likely at the center of many male fantasies, considering she’s dating a woman and … well… lots of guys like the thought of girl-on-girl action. In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, however, Stewart says she may very well go back to dating men at some point… she hasn’t closed her legs entirely to them. “Some people know that they like grilled cheese and they’ll eat it every day for the rest of their lives. I want to try everything,” she says by way of an interesting metaphor. “If I have grilled cheese once I’m like, ‘That was cool, what’s next?’” In this comparison, is Pattinson a boring old grilled cheese sandwich? And is Stewart saying she was in the market for something more exciting and captivating after the two broke up? Sort of, we guess. One could certainly interpret her quote to be an insult. But we don’t think she meant it that way. In another excerpt from the interview, Stewart – who has moved in with girlfriend Stella Maxwell – said she’s “been deeply in love with everyone I’ve dated.” She even grew a little snippy at any suggestions to the contrary. “Did you think I was faking it?” she asked the interviewer. No, here at THG, we definitely did not. Say what you want about Kristen Stewart, but she’s one of the least fake people in Hollywood. She seems to have such trouble even pretending to be happy that she smiles only about twice per year. “I’ve always really embraced a duality,” Stewart tells the magazine. “And really, truly, believed in it and never felt confused or struggling. I just didn’t like getting made fun of.” Elsewhere in the Harper’s interview, Stewart confesses she was teased for being a “total tomboy” in her younger days, which “really hurt [her] feelings.” She’s come a long way since then. In some ways. In other ways, she has clear memories of that painful experience and can still relate to it now; it’s not as though her life as a famous person has been criticism-free. “I remember being in the sixth grade and [people would say] ‘Kristen looks like a man. You’re a boy’, or whatever, and I was so offended, horrified and embarrassed,” she says, adding: “Now I look back on it and I’m like, ‘Girl, be proud of that!’ View Slideshow: 18 Most Bitter Breakups in Hollywood History This issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK will go on sale on August 4. Remember when Kanye West had a mental breakdown , checked himself into a hospital, and had to cancel his tour? Normally, some very pricey insurance policies cover that kind of situation. But apparently things for Kanye aren’t working out and he’s suing his insurers for $10 million … and basically accusing them of being scammers. And here we were thinking that the Smelly Vagina Lawsuit getting settled was interesting legal news! Kanye has always been impulsive and outlandish. It’s part of his brand. A lot of people believed that maybe it was mostly an act. People have had similar theories about plenty of stars who are known for being controversial or badly behaved. Basically, people have trouble believing that a grown adult could act like some celebrities do, and so they imagine that it’s all a show. In some cases, they’re absolutely right. But things with Kanye were clearly more serious than a childlike lack of impulse-control. In recent years, he’s done everything from tweet that Bill Cosby is innocent to beg Jay-Z to not have him murdered to making the irrational statement that, had he voted, he would have voted for Trump . We’re not saying that every Trump supporter needs their head examined (just a packet of information and perhaps a compassionate lecture), but for Kanye, that was super unexpected and Kanye is, um, not quite Trump’s demographic. Things got worse last December and, as we later learned, Kanye was suffering from severe psychosis from exhaustion . The tour was canceled, tickets were refunded, and the costs of shutting down were supposed to be covered by Kanye’s company’s insurance policy. Well, apparently his insurers — various syndicates of Lloyd’s of London, which sounds shadier than it’s supposed to but that might be appropriate in this case — responded to his team filing an insurance claim by basically taking every measure possible to prove that they weren’t liable. Many people have had tough dealings with insurance adjusters, but this sounds like it’s on a whole other level. The Hollywood Reporter obtained details of Kanye’s lawsuit , including the precise wording of the complaint that Kanye’s legal team has filed. Strap in, folks, because this is possibly the most entertaining legal document that you’re going to read for a good long while. “[The insurers haven’t] provided anything approaching a coherent explanation about why they have not paid, or any indication if they will ever pay or even make a coverage decision.” Does anybody else notice a hint of sass in that? “Implying that Kanye’s use of marijuana may provide them with a basis to deny the claim and retain the hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums paid by Very Good.” By Very Good , they mean Very Good Touring, Inc, which sounds like a lazy parody but it’s just the name of Kanye’s touring company. Kanye’s legal team accuses these insurers of more than just screwing over Kanye’s company, though: “The stalling is emblematic of a broader modus operandi of the insurers of never-ending post-claim underwriting where the insurers hunt for some contrived excuse not to pay.” Did you get that? Basically, Kanye’s accusing these syndicates of accepting massive sums of money (insurance premiums) and then searching for any loophole that keeps them from having to pay anything back when a claim is filed. That’s not how insurance companies are supposed to operate. “Almost immediately after the claim was submitted, Defendants selected legal counsel to oversee the adjustment of the claim, instead of the more normal approach of retaining a non-lawyer insurance adjuster.” That sounds shady, right? Kanye’s team thinks so. “Immediately turning to legal counsel made it clear that Defendants’ goal was to hunt for any ostensible excuse, no matter how fanciful, to deny coverage or to maneuver themselves into a position of trying to negotiate a discount on the loss payment.” It’s an insurance adjuster’s job to make sure that nobody’s filing a false claim, but companies are supposed to pay out when an honest claim is filed. Kanye’s lawyer, Howard King, has an incredibly well-written statement on the case. “Performing artists who pay handsomely to insurance companies within the Lloyd’s of London marketplace to obtain show tour ‘non-appearance or cancelation’ insurance should take note of the lesson to be learned from this lawsuit:” Clearly, he’s going right for their reputation. “Lloyd’s companies enjoy collecting bounteous premiums; they don’t enjoy paying claims, no matter how legitimate. Their business model thrives on conducting unending ‘investigations,’ of bona fide coverage requests, stalling interminably, running up their insured’s costs, and avoiding coverage decisions based on flimsy excuses.” Then comes the best line: “The artists think they they’re buying peace of mind. The insurers know they’re just selling a ticket to the courthouse.” If that’s any indication, it sounds like Kanye’s getting his money’s worth out of his attorney. If only he’d had that kind of luck with his tour’s insurers, huh? That said … so far, we’ve only heard one side of the story. We’d be very eager to hear what Lloyd’s of London’s insurers have to say in response. View Slideshow: Kanye West is Over Party: Twitter Users Celebrate Rapper’s Alleged Demise
Well … it’s better than Freedom Fries . Okay, so Kendall Jenner’s latest ad is for something called the Freedom Panty. And while she’s wearing the panties in question, she’s not wearing anything else. Considering how infamously terrible Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi commercial was, this photo that we have below is a huge step up. In this photo, we see Kendall wearing a pair of red panties and standing to the side, with only her hands to conceal her bare breasts. The background and makeup and even her hair combine to give it an eery, uncanny valley quality. You’ll see. Kendall shared the advertisement on Instagram. In her caption, she tagged La Perla’s Instagram page. La Perla’s Instagram page also shared the ad, and included the caption: “Introducing La Perla’s #FreedomPanty, crafted from the finest French Leavers Lace with interwoven stretch. Shop online and in our boutiques.” On both pages, this was the photo: Move over, Madame Tussauds! We kid — that’s really Kendall Jenner; she only looks like a horrifying knockoff of the original. It’s part of the style of the photo — matching the way that her skin is made up to catch the light and the unnatural flowers behind her. (Besides, if Madame Tussauds’ terrible impressions of Beyonce are any indication, they couldn’t make something that looks this much like Kendall) Usually, Kendall is one of the most likeable of the Kardashian family. She’s beautiful and she’s less likely to say dumbass things or feud with people. She also has a real job — modeling — that’s pretty separate from what the rest of her family does. Lately, however, Kendall Jenner has seemed to be courting controversy at every turn. Her Pepsi ad was just a PR nightmare, obviously. Then there were the shirts that she and Kylie tried to market . (Ugh) And then, most recently, there was Kendall’s ad where she was smoking . Smoking is bad for your health and, more importantly, incredibly disrespectful to everyone around you. So many of Kendall’s fans are young and impressionable and really don’t need to be seeing celebrities smoking in any way that might make it seem cool or sexy. (Smoking rates keep going down — can we please keep it that way?) In her defense, Kendall absolutely mentioned in the captions that she doesn’t smoke. So this looks like another case of her being asked to do something and her accepting the instructions without raising a fuss. (Just like with the Pepsi ad) Basically, Kendall’s problem isn’t that she sits around coming up with bad ideas. It’s that she does her job by going along with other people’s bad ideas. And we do think that it’s unfair that so much ire is directed at Kendall herself rather than at the people who are actually responsible. Whether you love Kendall Jenner or can’t stand her … No matter what you think of the artistic choices in this ad … (Seriously, why choose such a gorgeous celebrity model if you’re going to give her that uncanny valley look?) … We can all agree on one thing: It’s way, way better than that Pepsi ad. Jessica Alba shook her mom tits while making a mom joke about them being hormonal and milk filled because if you know anything about pregnant women – they are disgusting, they know they are disgusting, and only have their tits to carry them through the pregancy and often times the first year of being a new mom, thanks to it being the only thing their husbands want to look at or fuck, but also because their pussies are shredded and can’t be fucked. I guess what I am saying is that Alba, even knowing she’s an old Alba, knows to use the tits for that attention that makes her feel good now that she can’t cheat on her husband with actual celebrities for a while, since that’d be weird….seeing as she’s got his baby, or what they think is their baby up in her.. Point being… I’m into this mom tit thing.. The post Jessica Alba Tits of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepFather.com .
Amber Rose is known for being body-positive, unashamed about nudity , and for countering slut-shaming with frank discussions about sex and about women’s rights. She’s also known for her modeling work and her incredible body. But Amber Rose took to Instagram to share with followers that she’s seriously considering saying goodbye to part of her legendary figure: her breasts. Amber posted a message to her followers: “I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year.” A lot of people get breast reduction procedures, though reasons for them can vary. Amber Rose’s breasts are huge , by any standard, so she really doesn’t have to explain. “My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra.” Back pain due to large, cumbersome breasts can be a serious problem, especially over time. That pain is real and it doesn’t get better with age. Wardrobe issues are not at all uncommon for women with large breasts. Many find shopping for shirts difficult, not to mention finding a bra that fits them and looks nice. A lot of larger bras are those beige ones, folks. “I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice?” Lollipop scars, called this for their shape, are scars that follow a straight line up the bottom of the breast and then encircle the entire nipple of both breasts, as this is where the incision is made so that breast tissue can be removed. Cosmetic surgery can often do away with scars, but that means having yet another procedure, and not all scarring can be wiped away. What really matters is being happy after the procedure, and it looks like Amber knows that: “Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars?” We do hear that they fade over time, but everyone’s skin is different. A lot of women worry about facing rejection if their breasts look disfigured. (Men can be terrible, folks) “And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples.” Sometimes breast implants can be inserted or removed through a 180 degree incision around the areola, though that’s usually in patients with larger nipples after they’ve given birth. (Someone should tell Rob Kardashian that, since his revenge porn meltdown last month betrayed his total ignorance about how nipples naturally change size) Amber Rose really wanted feedback from her followers in ways that many people would not. “Tell me about [your] experiences.” Some celebrities leave their Instagram comments closed as a matter of course. They just want to share photos and their lives but they don’t need to see the hate or a dozen people comment “first!” like this is YouTube in 2008. Amber Rose, however, was literally asking for responses. As you can imagine, the comments that she got were varied. A lot of people expressed sympathy. Some were medical professionals (or, at least, they claimed to be) who warned of things like scarring (though, as we mentioned before, scarring isn’t always permanent). Others had undergone breast reductions or knew people who had. Other celebrities, such as Ariel Winter, have undergone breast reduction surgery to address physical discomfort as well as wardrobe problems. (In Ariel’s case, it was also to reclaim a bit of her identity and to take control of her image) So Amber Rose, if she decides to do this, will be in good company. We’re not saying that crowdsourcing your medical advice is any substitute for consulting with qualified surgeons. But we do think that it’s neat that Amber Rose reached out to her fans Not just as a treat for some of them, but because she’s using her fame as a resource in a kind of unusual way. We don’t know if she’ll go through with it. Amber Rose would be beautiful with no breasts of any size or no breasts whatsoever. What’s important is what she chooses for herself. Kathy Griffin has been more than a little controversial over the course of her career, but her most recent move has been something that everyone can support. The actress and comedian has shaved her head, for a very meaningful reason. And no, it has nothing to do with Trump. A writer who contributes to multiple news outlets shared a pair of photos of Kathy’s freshly shaved head over Twitter, explaining in the caption: “In solidarity with her sister, who is going through chemo, @kathygriffin shaved her head.” That is so heartbreaking to read about Kathy’s sister, Joyce Griffin. It would be about anyone, of course. But cancer is especially personal to Kathy and her family. Kathy Griffin’s older brother, Gary, died in 2014 after losing his battle with cancer. In the first photo, Kathy poses topless, running a hand across her now bare scalp in wonder at a sensation that people never feel in their lives. In the second photo, we see Kathy’s mother, Maggie Griffin, respond. Kathy Griffin’s mother is nearly as famous as she is, for her role on My Life On The D-List and for Kathy’s stories about her mother shared during stand-up comedy. Maggie is quite a character herself, as you know if you’ve ever heard anything that she’s said. Maggie quoted the tweet and added her own comment: “My daughter Kathleen Mary is a wonderful human being.” Look at how cute Maggie looks in the photo! Of course, Kathy Griffin is still reeling from the overblown backlash over that controversial photo she made with Tyler Shields . You know, the one where she’s holding up “Trump’s head” as if she’s just decapitated him. Like … it was in poor taste, absolutely. And she shouldn’t have done it. But the blowback on it would have been comical if the consequences for it hadn’t been so serious. Kathy Griffin lost multiple jobs over it in the ensuing outrage. Of course, the Trump team capitalized on it immediately, with the orange man himself making the ludicrous claim about his young son, Barron. Barron is arguably the only innocent among the Trump children (like Donald himself, we don’t really want to talk about Tiffany right now). So he was perfect for Trump to point to and say that Barron believed that the photo was real when he saw it. First of all, chances are pretty good that Barron didn’t see it at all. Second of all, Barron is 11, not 4. Pretending that he’d gone into a parent at the thought of his father having been murdered by a comedian that the tween had almost certainly never heard of was nothing short of absurd. But Kathy Griffin shouldn’t have posed for the photo. (She knows that and apologized as soon as it leaked ) If she hadn’t, the Trump team couldn’t have used up to stir up their followers like they did. Brace yourselves, because someone will inevitably call this a “publicity stunt.” They’ll accuse Kathy of doing this to get back into the public’s good graces. She did this because her sister has cancer, you guys. There’s no conspiracy behind it. Just love. And solidarity. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Beat Cancer
Last week, the music world was shocked by the news that beloved Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington had passed away at the age of 41. Shortly thereafter, investigators confirmed Bennington’s cause of death . Perhaps mimicking the recent suicide of his friend Chris Cornell , Bennington had hung himself in his Los Angeles home, where his body was discovered by a housekeeper. He died on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Hundreds of thousands have paid tribute to Bennington online, including many of the famous friends he made over the course of his 17-year music career. Today, the singer’s grief-stricken widow made her first public statement since Bennington’s passing. Her words reflect not only her own heartbreak, but also the grief endured by those who knew Bennington best, including his six children. “One week ago, I lost my soulmate and my children lost their hero – their Daddy,” Talinda Bennington wrote. “We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy.” Talinda went on to say that she hopes her love for her children will sustain her through this incredibly difficult time. She also reminded fans that their words of support are deeply appreciated. “How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left,” Talinda stated. “I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.” She concluded with a tribute to her departed husband that’s sure to leave many fans in tears. “He was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice,” Talida wrote. “And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love.” Bennington’s family members have stated that while they appreciate the well-wishes from fans, they plan to lay the singer to rest in a private ceremony. Our thoughts go out to Chester’s loved ones during this difficult time. View Slideshow: Chester Bennington: Celebrities React to Singer’s Shocking Suicide
