A British bookmaker is encouraging that speculation … or was, until a firm called Coral halted all bets on the pregnancy of the Duke and Duchess Monday. A series of bets were placed online Monday night on whether Kate Middleton is indeed expecting a second child right now, which makes you wonder. As in, wonder what those people know … and wonder who bets on celebrity gossip ?! “When bets come in at once late in the evening, it sets alarm bells off,” Coral’s Nicola McGeady said, noting that up until yesterday, “It’s been quiet.” “Then all of a sudden, a week before Prince George’s birthday , this happened. The bets sealed our opinion that someone knows something we don’t.” Coral was offering odds of 10-1 on Kate announcing a second pregnancy in early July, but the odds were cut to even money amid a swarm of action. At that point, the firm pulled the plug entirely. Whatever the cause of the flurry of activity, the 32-year-old Kate is believed to ignoring the speculation as tiresome, as she has other things on her mind.
