When Miley Cyrus isn’t busy smoking weed with Wiz Khalifa , she occasionally gets down to writing and recording music. And some of it is pretty good. The Dixie Chicks: Wrecking Ball Cover Take Miley’s hit “Wrecking Ball,” for example. The singer’s breakup ballad tore up the charts when it was released in August and now a country-fied cover version by the Dixie Chicks  is going viral and wowing YouTubers.  You may remember the Dixie Chicks, George W. Bush controversy from several years back, and while the band has been flying low on most folks’ radar since then, it seems they’re still drawing crowds and taking country music to interesting new places. Miley may be closer to the hip-hop world these days, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, she’s no stranger to country. Maybe she’ll join the Chicks on stage at some and help them re-imagine “We Can’t Stop” or “Party In the USA.” Okay, probably not, but at least she know she’s got some fans amongst older musicians. Just a few months ago, Miley was best known for dropping jaws during the VMAs. Now, against all odds, she’s actually beginning to gain as much attention for her work as for tongue-wagging antics.

Drake Bell Blasts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande & Lady Gaga as "Repulsive": Why?

Justin Bieber suddenly has company. The singer, who has so often felt the wrath of Drake Bell, is once again the focus of this young actor’s ire. But he isn’t alone this time. In an extended interview with BuzzFeed, Bell goes off on Bieber, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, mostly in regard to how they don’t call out their fans for engaging in unruly behavior. According to Bell, Bieber (who Bell has called a ” little sh-t “) and Gaga “don’t come out and say, ‘I love having you as my fans, but you shouldn’t be acting this way.'” “They just eat it all up,” he adds, “and I think it’s repulsive.” Bell would also love to see Justin Bieber deported . With Bieber so often in the news these days, his supporters have been on the attack against the singer’s critics – and Bell can’t stand how Justin encourages their antagonistic responses. “Justin Bieber just tweets, ‘Yeah, Beliebers, go hard’ when they’re attacking somebody,” Drake says. ” Ariana Grande fans told Perez Hilton that he and his son needed to die and get cancer, and she just fed it. It’s disgusting.” Bell wishes A-listers would “get on a pedestal” and explain to their fans how “to treat people.” But he isn’t holding his breath for this to happen any time in the near future. Bieber is “going around telling kids that as long as you have enough money and swag, you can do whatever you want,” Bell laments, adding: “Instead of working to change the world, [he’s saying,] ‘Work to get as much money and power as possible because then you can do whatever you want and no one can say anything to you.’” “I just think that’s a gross, awful, terrible message.” What do you think, readers? Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears married fiance Jamie Watson in New Orleans, La., on Friday night. Jamie and Jamie, together forever! Proud papa Jamie Spears (they like that name) walked her down the aisle. Mom Lynne Spears accompanied her betrothed daughter to a nail salon near their home in Kentwood, La., as wedding preparations kicked into high gear. The bride had picked out a gown by Liancarlo while out shopping for wedding dresses with her 4-year-old daughter, Maddie, and Lynne January. Speaking of her older sibling, Britney Spears and David Lucado were spotted catching a flight from of L.A. to Louisiana to witness her sister’s big wedding . Maddie was the flower girl and sparkled in a little white dress while Britney’s two boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, walked together as ringbearers. Jamie Watson, 30, popped the question a little over a year ago, with Spears showing off her diamond and complimenting her fiancé on a job well done. This is the 22-year-old’s first trip down the aisle. She was engaged to, but never married, Maddie’s dad, Casey Aldridge, her high school boyfriend. He’s a great guy, but I was really was just not in a place to be in that relationship,” she recalls. “It’s funny, if you fast forward to where I am now and I’m going to marry this man and the song really came full circle. It’s an older song, but it still means so much to me.” “Every time I sing it, it just brings all that back up.” Congratulations to the happy couple!

Demi Lovato RIPS Lady Gaga-Millie Brown Puking Stunt: You’re Glorifying Addiction!

Demi Lovato is far from pleased with the on-stage Lady Gaga puking stunt that became the talk of her SXSW performance this week. Why? Mother Monster is glorifying bulimia, in the young star’s opinion. “Sad… As if we didn’t have enough people glamorizing eating disorders already. Bottom line, it’s not ‘cool’ or ‘artsy’ at all,” she wrote. “Addiction is addiction.” “Would you let someone bring a needle and shoot up on you?” Millie Brown Vomits on Lady Gaga The person booting on Gaga was “vomit painter” Millie Brown, who as part of the provocative show, put her finger down her throat and hurled all over Gaga’s chest. ARTPOP at its best. Demi is not a fan, even if she likes Gaga. “It’s not ‘shade’ and it’s not ‘hate,'” she further explained. “But if someone has to come forward and say it. I’ll take the heat for it. Putting the word ART in it isn’t a free card to do whatever you want without consequences.” Lovato then tweeted to Gaga, “You’re SO talented, if not one of the most talented in our industry PERIOD. Dope is INCREDIBLE.. but you don’t have to do that.” Lady Gaga SXSW Performance During her keynote at SXSW, before Lovato’s criticism hit the web, Gaga shared how the now infamous act of “art” and vomit came together: “I’ve known Millie [Brown] for I think five years now and we’ve collaborated before…she was just in town and so we thought we would collaborate again.” “It was just exciting to see people talk about performance art on the internet. We really just did it because we believe in the performance and what it meant to the song.” However, “I asked my publicist if she quit in the middle of the show!” she said while laughing, admitting that she knew this one was pushing it, even for her. Miley Cyrus Fires Back at Katy Perry, Slams John Mayer

Just a short while after their tongues came out in Los Angeles, the fangs are now on full display between pop stars Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry . Asked about the makeout session that took place at Miley’s Staples Center concert last month, Perry told an Australian radio station this week that Cyrus took it way too far. “I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss,” Perry said, adding: “Then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been! We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!” Sort of insulting but mostly funny, right? Cyrus is known for sticking her tongue out a lot … but Miley clearly took offense to the joke, writing on Twitter today: “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT been.” Whoa there! Shots. Fired. Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry Make Out Miley is clearly referencing Perry’s split from John Mayer , while also slamming Mayer as a bit of a man whore. Which of course he is. Of course, in slamming Perry and Mayer, she’s also sort of bashing Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Rashida Jones… etc. If you weren’t aware, John Mayer has been with a lot of women over the years. But did Cyrus get too personal? Did she take things too far with that rebuttal? Selena Gomez: Lorde "Doesn’t Like Me" But I’ll Support Her!

Phew! Looks like all is well in the world of female pop stars. For now, at least. Seventeen ‘s latest cover girl, Selena Gomez, recently revealed she’s got nothing but love for singer-songwriter sensation Lorde, even though they have had their differences in the past. Lorde called out the “Come & Get It” singer back in October for being anti-feminist, but Selena says she hopes the she and the New Zealand native will “be cool” in the future. “I recently did an interview and they asked me who I thought was up-and-coming and making a difference,” Selena told the mag regarding her feelings for the “Royals” crooner. “I said, ‘She doesn’t like me, but Lorde.’ I’m going to support her whether she likes me or not because I think she’s doing great things.” She continued to back her former feud partner by explaining: “I’ve never met her, but she’s extremely talented, and she has a voice that she likes to use, and I think that’s great.” Do we smell a duet in the future? One can only dream. And what other females does Seleners call herself a fan (and friend) of? “Some girls will drop you in five seconds for the right guy. That’s not how it’s supposed to be,” she says. “That’s why I love Demi [Lovato] and Taylor [Swift] — they support females and love to have that empowerment! I wish girls would stop hurting each other.” That’s right, Selena! Girl power, indeed.
