According to Cardi, baby Kulture is already a fan of a lot of different music, and we’re not just talking Mickey Mouse Club House, either. In a new tweet on Friday, The Bronx rapper revealed her daughter’s favorite songs, which includes a lot of tracks from her own parents like “Mi Gente” by J Balvin, DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki,” Offset’s “Ric Flair Drip,” and Cardi’s “I Love It.” She also said that Kulture is a fan of the “whole ‘Baby Shark’ mixtape,” which seems to be the case with literally every child on the planet. A public health campaign in Auckland, New Zealand has been criticised for promoting casual racism after Labour MP Tamati Coffey posted it on Facebook. Some parents claim that the white girl in the campaign is only insinuating that the little boy will pee in the pool just because he’s Black. One concerned mom responded: “I am an older female of European descent and I don’t like the sign. I very much doubt a little girl would running around saying this kind of thing to other kids.” Another added: “It’s funny at first glance. But then you realise the racial profiling. And it’s not funny anymore. We are so conditioned to subtle racism, that we just laugh and say nothing.” But the complaints were sure ’nuff heard. Auckland Council general manager of parks sports and recreation, Mace Ward, released a statement saying, “This particular sign was part of a series and it was not our intent to upset anyone. The campaign was created in response to potential public health issues and as a result we’ve have fewer pool shutdowns and less risk to human health. We’re removing our signs from our leisure centres and will take a look at the whole campaign.” Thoughts?
Source: Joshua Lott / Getty Chance The Rapper Donates $400,000 To Chicago Mayoral Candidate After giving a vocal endorsement of Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia back in October, Chance The Rapper is making his support known in a much bigger, more expensive way. The Chicago Sun-Times reported on Wednesday that Chance donated a whopping $400,000 to Enyia’s campaign. the Chicago native has hosted fundraisers for Amara within these last few months, but this is the first time he has personally donated to her run for office. Camonghne Felix, a representative for Enyia, said the money will go to keep the momentum going and help them galvanize people to get engaged in the political process. “[The donation] means that we’ll have more flexibility than we’ve had before in our efforts to mobilize, get people engaged and connect with communities that have been disillusioned with politics,” she said in a statement. “It’s the collective power of their voices and votes that will win on Feb. 26—not the power of money.” Chano explained why he’s backing Amara Enyia last October during a rally at City Hall. “I want to work with somebody that’s about change,” he announced. “Somebody that’s about our community. Somebody that’s about equality. Somebody that’s about fairness. And the one person in my research of this wide-open race [whose] views align with me would obviously be candidate Amara Enyia.” As far as Chicago goes, Chance isn’t the only rapper who has donated to Enyia’s campaign. Kanye West donated $200,000 in total to her cause; the rapper donated $73,540 to Enyia so she could pay off fines for not properly filing quarterly campaign finance reports during her 2015 mayoral campaign, later donating another $126,460.
A number of people were surprised to learn that Alexis Skyy and Rob Kardashian are dating or at least appear to be dating. Blac Chyna, Rob’s ex and baby mama, wasn’t surprised — but she was furious. We have now learned that Chyna’s big fight with Alexis over the weekend was all about Rob. TMZ reports that Alexis Skyy and Blac Chyna’s physical confrontation was all about Rob Kardashian. Apparently, the “scolding” was something that Chyna had wanted to do for a long time. Sources in both women’s camps say that Chyna invited Alexis to speak at the party in order to confront her. Chyna reportedly felt and still feels that Alexis’ interactions with Rob, Chyna’s baby daddy, are inappropriate. It is sad that Alexis and Rob have known each other since 2016, when Rob was still with Chyna. Even then, sources say, Chyna thought that Alexis was entirely too chummy with her man. Chyna’s camp tells TMZ that Alexis didn’t tell the whole truth when she went on Instagram live. Yes, Chyna reportedly threw her drink, but she was apparently not the one who started it. When she brought up the past, this is when Alexis reportedly “went wild.” Only then, the tabloid reports, did Chyna throw her drink. All of Alexis’ talk about a “smackdown,” it is said, only started up after Alexis’ male friend showed up, after she had been booted from the party. TMZ notes that Chyna’s ire and even the confrontation don’t seem to have harshed anybody’s mood — or thirst. Whatever is going on between Alexis and Rob appears to be heating up. Rob has been singing Alexis’ praises as his “WCW.” (If you’re not big on social media, WCW means Women Crush Wednesday, so you’d tweet a pic of Rihanna or whomever on Wednesday to express your thirst) Maybe Alexis was flirty with Rob in 2016, but these days, it looks like it’s intensified and, significantly, it’s mutual. As you may recall, the incident between Alexis and Chyna went down on Saturday. At first, we had only Alexis’ description of what happened. The two were at a party when Chyna invited Alexis over to join her at a table. Alexis then said that Chyna threw her drink at her and demanded that she leave the party. On Instagram Live, Alexis told her fans and followers this, and announced that she planned to retaliate with a “smackdown.” So, what is the deal with Alexis and Rob? There are those who might cynically suggest that Alexis saw how Chyna was living in 2016 and decided then and there that she wanted to upgrade. If you believe that Alexis is just after a better lifestyle or a piece of that Kardashian fame, then you see her as using him. We would say that it’s always possible, but that Alexis may just be genuinely charmed with Rob. Rob’s perspective is easy to see if you’ve ever seen a photo of Alexis. She’s drop-dead gorgeous. Wherever this is headed, we just hope that things don’t end up for them like they did between Rob and Chyna. At first, when Rob got with Chyna, it seemed like a good thing. He started appearing in public more and even on camera, and shared that he was working on his health. Unfortunately and very famously, his relationship with Chyna blew up. It ended with lawsuits, revenge porn, and allegations of assault. The only truly good thing to come from that debacle was their baby, Dream Kardashian. If you’re a Teen Mom OG fan, then you’re no doubt aware of Ryan Edwards’ struggles with addiction . Following numerous arrests and multiple stints in rehab, Ryan is sober these days, and he’s reportedly fully committed to making amends for his past misdeeds and being the best husband and father he can be. Throughout his struggles, Ryan has benefited from the unwavering support of his wife, Mackenzie Standifer. Many fans of the show have openly wondered how Mackenzie could stand by Ryan’s side throughout his numerous relapses and embarrassing incidents such as the time he lost consciousness on their wedding day . But Mackenzie is up on the latest research, and it seems she’s well aware that while Ryan’s recovery is his responsibility, his addiction is not entirely his fault. Mackenzie has been taking to Instagram this week to try and educate her followers on the escalating opioid crisis in America. She speaks from experience, of course, as heroin and other opioids were Ryan’s drug of choice. And it seems that her recent research has made Mackenzie acutely aware of how lucky Ryan is to have escaped with his life. “I just wanted to hop on here and kind of show you guys the research I had done,” she told fans during a recent Instagram Live “This is going to blow your mind.” She then displayed the two charts below in hopes of impressing upon her fans the severity of the situation. “If this isn’t a crisis, I don’t know what is,” Standifer said. “Don’t believe me? You’d be surprised. A lot of the time it starts so innocent and ends in a revolving door, a never-ending cycle that can’t be easily stopped,” she added. “Have you ever wondered what your local pain clinic was handing out? Opiates. Educate yourselves.” “Let’s get talking. Let’s stop this. Let’s do something about it,” Mackenzie told her followers. Of course, this is the internet in 2019, so it’s not surprising that Standifer received some pushback from followers who had not researched the as thoroughly (if they did any research at all). “It’s not a crisis,” one commenter shot back. “People do drugs, it’s a CHOICE.” “[People are] more likely to die from an overdose than a car accident, but [I’m] still getting messages like these,” she wrote under a screenshot of the conversation. “This is why I CHOOSE to not shut up.” Fortunately, it seems that Mackenzie has received more support than criticism for her efforts. “Tell them about how REGULAR people get hooked on prescription drugs because of injury or surgery or chronic pain!” one fan wrote. “[These are] not crackheads in the street who are choosing to get high!” “You’re right! It’s people you’d NEVER expect. It’s lawyers, doctors, high power officials, the soccer mom in her minivan. It does NOT discriminate,” she responded. It’s a little upsetting that Ryan and her followers apparently believe “crackheads in the street” are less deserving of continued life than “high power officials,” but at least they’re moving in the right direction. The overdose rate is up roughly 500 percent since 1990, and the opioid crisis is a major factor in the continued decline of overall life expectancy in America. Rob Kardashian is about to get a fat paycheck. But only if he stops being so gosh darn fat. Hey, this is not our assessment of the often-maligned reality star. We’re just paraphrasing his mother. Indeed, sources tell Radar Online that Rob is set to return to Keeping Up with the Kardashians after effectively not appearing at all on the prior two seasons of this E! reality show. But there’s a unique catch to the arrangement. Simply put: “Kris is bribing her son with millions of dollars to lose weight,” a source close to the 63-year-old matriarch tells the aforementioned celebrity gossip site. It’s been well-documented in the past that Rob has struggled to maintain a healthy weight — and also that his family members have grown embarrassed by his ballooning figure. Rob himself has also been embarrassed, which partly explains his absence from the series of late. “[Jenner] told [Rob] that she will give him a half a million dollar increase for every ten pounds he loses,” Radar claims , explaining of this unique situation: “He has been working out non-stop and she is so proud of him because she really wants him to come back strong.” Rob’s weight loss journey will provide Keeping Up with the Kardashians with a fresh storyline, of course, as will the shocking fact that someone out there apparently wants to sleep with him. It’s true! He’s reportedly been getting hot and heavy with VH1 personality Alexis Skyy . We have no idea what she sees in him, either, we know. But Rob’s mom is psyched that her son is happy; and, again, that the show may have a new storyline on which to focus. “Kris is thrilled that Rob is getting back out there and dating again. All she wants is for Rob to happy,” Radar writes, ignoring the fact that all Kris really wants is for her kids to make her money. The insider does acknowledge this aspect of Jenner, adding: “Needless to say, Kris would love it if the two of them are together when he starts filming because that would mean she could use their romance for ratings.” We don’t yet know when Keeping Up with the Kardashians will retuen for another season. As we reported with heavy hearts earlier this year, Jonathan Rivera and Fernanda Flores have split . The 90 Day Fiance couple were one of this season’s most likable and they really seemed to have made it … until they didn’t. Now, both Fernanda and Jonathan are speaking out. Fernanda has shared a couple of vague posts this week. “She became silent,” Fernanda writes. “There is no longer any words to describe the absence of emotion within her heart,” she continues. Fernanda adds: “She went from arguing to be upset, now feeling nothing at all.” Is this poetry or something more autobiographical? And is it both? Later, Fernanda wrote something a little more universal. “Don’t judge someone without knowing the whole story,” she advises her followers on Instagram. “You may think you understand,” Fernanda acknowledges. “But you don’t.” None of us ever know the whole story about reality stars, but fans are especially in the dark about Fernanda and Jon’s split. She wasn’t a golddigger or after a green card — Jonathan is the first to say that. As far as we know, they had a dispute, in part over where they should live. Fernanda spoke angrily and stormed off and Jonathan believes that the things she said can never be taken back. These latest words from Fernanda are vague. Last week, Fernanda was a little more direct and arguably a bit more confrontational. “I don’t want to talk about anything about Jonathan again,” Fernanda told her followers on Instagram live. “He’s talking a lot,” Fernanda acknowledged. “He can say whatever he wants.” “I’m not going to talk about it until I’m ready,” she affirmed. Apparently, she is still not ready to address this fresh wound. It hasn’t even been a month. That is very understandable. Heartbreak hurts. Fernanda’s posts this week were preceded by Jonathan going on Instagram Live to speak to his followers. “Every marriage has its problems,” he emphasizes. “Every relationship has its issues.” “It’s all about your attitude. As long as you’re positive… [I] gotta take it day by day.” “all of this has happened really fast” “I promise you, I didn’t give up. I gave 110 percent to my marriage,” he shared. Jonathan concludes by explaining: “I reached a point where I said, ‘I have to love myself just as much.'” Jonathan’s latest post is actually a throwback to work that he has done in his community in Lumberton, North Carolina. “I created a nutrition program at the Lumberton Children’s Clinic, helping to introduce a healthier way of life to the underprivileged youth,” he shares. “I started the program after realizing the large epidemic of Childhood Obesity plaguing our community,” Jonathan explains. “My intention was to raise awareness by boosting the children’s self-confidence,” he writes.
