It’s been six months since Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell got married , but today, many Duggar fans are thinking about the last days of the couple’s courtship. That’s because Monday night’s episode of Counting On featured the couple engaging in behavior that doesn’t quite align with the Duggar rules of courtship. A joint bachelor/bachelorette party allowed the young couple to – gasp! – engage in premarital physical contact, and being human adults with genitals, they took advantage. “We were on John’s boat and whenever we were back on the tube he was definitely working pretty hard to get us off the tube,” Joe said in a voiceover. “It was pretty tough not to break the rules of engagement just for the fact that when you’re tubing your closer than you normally would be,” he added. “When they put you in a turn, you’re trying to counter for the turn so I had to move from side to side so therefore I was crawling over top of her and definitely in close quarters.” It was a nice attempt at explaining away behavior that would have gotten a female Duggar locked in the basement until her wedding day, but fans weren’t buying it. On social media, viewers expressed shock that Joe and Kendra allowed themselves to be shown “climbing on top of one another.” Many pointed out that Jim Bob and Michelle appear to be getting more lax with age, as physical contact of the variety that Joe and Kendra engaged in last night would have been the stuff of scandal a decade ago. One of the downsides of making such a big deal of your ridiculous dating guidelines is that millions of people now know the Duggar courtship rules by heart. Not only are Duggars forbidden to engage in premarital sex, they’re not allowed to kiss or hold hands for a period of time exceeding 15 seconds. In order to maintain full compliance with Michelle and Jim Bob’s rules, unmarried Duggar couples can’t even hug face-to-face lest their fully clothed genitals come into contact. Fortunately for Joe and Kendra, their scenes were overshadowed by the news of Joy-Anna Duggar’s pregnancy . Still, the fact that such a racy (by Duggar standards) scene was permitted to air is a sign that either Jim Bob is desperate for ratings, or he’s finally easing up on his beleaguered adult children. Columbus Short Released From Jail 11 Months Early Columbus Short is a free man this week, after completing just a twelfth of his jail sentence. If you’ll recall, Columbus pled no contest to charges that he hit his newlywed fourth wife, Aida Abramyan, during an argument. The actor was sentenced to 36 months probation and domestic violence education. However, since he was already on probation for a 2014 violent encounter in a bar, resulting in him knocking a man out, so he was instead sentenced to a year in jail for violating his probation. Well, according to TMZ , Columbus can thank jail overcrowding for his freedom. He was reportedly released on Monday from the L.A. County Jail, after serving only 34 days of his sentence. We guess it’s just as well, since his wife denies that anything violent ever happened between them. The media needs to check their facts!!…Columbus and I have a great marriage. Period. If you follow her on social media, then you’re likely aware that Jill Duggar is often criticized for her parenting. Sometimes the complaints are truly asinine, such as the time fans got up in arms because Jill put a tortilla on her baby’s head . On many other occasions, however, the gripes were more legitimate, such as the time Jill was accused of endangering her children by allowing them to play near a freeway. We guess the latest complaint falls somewhere in the middle – a bit more serious than “Mexican food as fashion accessory” but not quite as severe as “human Frogger.” As you may recall, Jill and her husband Derick Dillard perform missionary work from time to time. Or at least they did, until the allure of reality TV stardom lured them back home to Arkansas. Now that Derick has been fired from Counting On and Jill has quit the show as a misguided gesture of solidarity, the Dillards have a lot more time on their hands. Jill and Derick haven’t formally announced that they’re once again traveling abroad in hopes of winning converts, but fans noticed the couple appears in a recent photo posted by their church, which seems to suggest the Dillards are once again headed south of the border. “Pray with us for our group heading to Guadalajara today,” reads the caption on the photo above. The trip won’t be as long as Jill and Derick’s previous excursion, which lasted the better part of a year. It was advertised on the Cross Church’s website as a weeklong trip, but there it seems some members of the congregation are planning to stay a bit longer. “The week will be filled with street evangelism and building relationships to share the gospel as we help Vida Church continue reaching Guadalajara,” reads the ad. Jill and Derick have been widely praised for their philanthropic efforts, but they’ve taken their fair share of criticism for their latest trip, as well. For one thing, the Dillards are not licensed missionaries , a fact they received some harsh criticism for during their previous two travels. Despite having plenty of time to do so, it does not seem that either Jill or Derick enrolled in a licensing course in the year since they returned to the States. But the harshest complaints from fans had to do with Jill and Derick’s decision to bring their 8-month-old son Samuel on the trip. (It does not appear that 2-year-old Samuel traveled with his parents.) Guadalajara is commonly regarded as one of the most dangerous destinations in Mexico. Just last month, the city was the scene of 23 murders over the course of 48 hours. For obvious reasons, many are questioning the wisdom of the Dillards bringing their youngest son along, and some are likening it to Jill putting her son at risk for the Zika virus by remaining in afflicted areas while pregnant. We guess the problem with criticizing the couple for every piece of ethnic cuisine they place on their son’s head is that they’re that much more likely to shrug it off when the world expresses a legitimate concern. Courtland Rogers has had quite a tumultuous year. Just 12 months ago, it looked as though things were finally looking up for Jenelle Evans’ troubled ex. Courtland was released from prison , and he stated on social media that for the first time in his adult life, he was clean, sober and determined to turn his life around. Sadly, Courtland’s period of self-improvement turned out to be short-lived. In February, Rogers was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute. He spent a little time behind bars, but at some point, he was released on bail awaiting trial. However, Courtland was apparently unable to keep his nose clean yet again. According to Starcasm, Rogers is currently being held in North Carolina’s Brunswick County Detention Center on charges of parole violation and being a habitual felon. The jail’s site says there was “no bond” in his case, so it’s safe to assume Courtland is still locked up. “The probation board has up to 10 days to have a hearing with Rogers for the violation,” says a BCDC spokesperson. “He will be released depending on what the probation board rules.” So it sounds as though Courtland won’t be held until his trial. However, it also seems unlikely that he’ll get out of this mess without serving some hard time. Starcasm was able to speak with Courtland’s pregnant wife, Lindsey Rogers. She says there’s not much she can reveal about the specifics of her husband’s case, but she’s confident that everything will work out in her family’s favor. “I don’t want to say too much as of now,” Lindsay tells the site. “The whole situation is a misunderstanding and a lot more to the story than what people read online “In the end, the truth will come out. We have hope that he will be home before our son is due. I love my husband and I know the facts and God is in control.” Here’s hoping Court is able to turn things around for the sake of his wife and child. According to their sources, after just two short years, the couple has called it quits. Logic and Andrea jumped the broom back in October of 2015, when the rapper was just 25-years-old. There’s no reason now as to why they decided to split, but fans noticed Jessica Andrea had unfollowed her hubby on social media recently…even though he still follows her. Welp! These two don’t have any kiddies together. Sources say the home they purchased together last year is about to hit the market. *Updated* In unrelated news, Logic is indeed a person of color, despite finding insurmountable caucasian success… Good luck to them!

Julie Dermansky/Corbis via Getty Images Waffle House Waitress Granted A Scholarship 18-year-old Evoni Williams just got granted a scholarship, and she definitely didn’t see it coming. Earlier this month, at the Waffle House in La Marque, Texas, a customer saw Williams going above and beyond her job description, and was moved by her dedicated. The waitress noticed an elderly man struggling with his food and began cutting up his ham with a knife a fork, no questions asked. Laura Wolf, a fellow customer in the store, is the one who saw the exchange and later posted the photo on Facebook. She posted a caption accompanying the photo that reads: “I don’t know her name but I heard this elderly man tell her his hands don’t work too good. He was also on oxygen and struggling to breathe. Without hesitation, she took his plate and began cutting up his ham. This may seem small but to him, I’m sure it was huge.” Williams had no idea that the picture was being posted until several hours later. “When I saw it, it’s just something I would do for anybody.” Wolf responded, later adding that it was a super crowded time of day in the restaurant when she snapped the photo. “It was so busy in here, and she actually took the time to stop and hear what he had to say instead of walking past him. That just meant something to me.” This kind gesture resonated with people worldwide, and as of now, her photo has been shared over 72,000 times on Facebook. Williams is a recent Texas City High School graduate, and she has been working at the Waffle House full-time to earn money for college. Luckily for the 18-year-old, officials at Texas Southern University caught word of the story, and offered Williams a $16,000 scholarship to the school at a ceremony last Thursday.
